Though it’s been said many times, many ways, Merry Christmas, to you.
May the fullness of blessings and all good things be in your life. You don’t have to be religious to understand the intent of the iconic nature of “the reason for the season.” We would all do good and be better if we let some of that mythos soak into our deepest selves. Do this, and watch how the vista will broaden and your point in it take on a new, more fulfilling perspective.
Thank you, one and all, for making THE PLANET a success.
We have one simple request and wish that EVERYONE abides by it. We would ask for this once that we all stay away from politics, Republican-Democrat, pro-Trump-anti-Trump, name calling, hostility, and their ilk so as to keep in tune with the spirit of the season. THE PLANET has faith that what we ask lies within the capacity of everyone who comments on this board.

We have Troops stationed all over the globe who by a sense of both duty and Honor will be separated from their families, their loved ones and their traditions. Hopefully everyone is happy and healthy this season. Merry Christmas as to everyone on the Planet, and a special thanks to the G Man and his tireless effort to help those on a ride from hell to deal with these water rates. Currently there are people working in Government and not drawing a paycheck because the spirit of Christmas does not exist, and it is from one man who by all accounts has created more chaos than a fox chasing a flock of baby chickens from the barn. And whoever thought that the downfall of good will would come from a President, who should be spreading the good will and health and happiness, along with the thought of the American Dream which is now..lost

The Gman asked me to wish a very merry Xmas to all those who post on this board and a very special thanks to those who have supported his efforts to save the tax and rate payers 28 million dollars for upcoming work at the sewage treatment plant. He will continue his efforts to do all he can to insure the ratepayers are not being robed of their hard earned dollars. He also asked that we all remember our military people who are serving all around the world. He knows first hand what it was like to spend two Christmases in the jungles of Viet nam while being just a boy of 19 years of age. He says anyone can send a greeting card to any military member via the USO orginazation and that military people are glad to receive them

I agree with s c about aligning human beings by the color of their skin and ethnicity, or stature by wealth, an important other one, the way people look,many are judged by that,we don’t need a world leader in our own backyard inciting hatred,that is why we should all be thankful and come together at Christmas and reflect with Joy and Peace for a couple of days anyway. When I was young my father would give me a silver dollar for Xmas and the day after Xmas I would go to Carl Tyler’s hobby shop on Columbus ave and buy a model car and assemble it and place it on the TV for everyone to see. One year after I received the silver dollar my brothers and cousins played football in the backyard of our home and somehow I lost the si!her dollar. I looked and looked for it but could never find it. Two or three years latter I was mowing the lawn at our house and low and behold shining in the sunlight was that silver dollar. I have kept it all these years and tonight I will be holding it and I will remember my mom and dad and all my family members who have passed. This silver dollar is my link to the past and I will cherish it till the day I die. Merry Xmas to Dan and all who post and read the planet and may you all have good health and many more xmases. Make some memories yourself. They will help you get through the holidays if your lucky enough to live into old age

As someone who follows and enjoys your columns,I want to thank you for putting issues out there from A -Z in your columns we cannot find anywhere else (Beagle) that includes both sides of an issue that allows people to take in and determine where they are on any given issue that you bring up. I would also like to wish all my fellow posters a safe and wonderful Merry Christmas! You guys are the best even though I don’t always agree with every post or response, I’m grateful for the fact that you participate.

I just talked to the Gman and he wanted to thank all who had good wishes for him and to let you know that he will continue in the new year to do all that he can to put a halt on the water and sewer projects. He said the EPA gave a gift to the city by suspending the clean water act on DEC.12 and he said this changes everything. The city now can put the brakes on the projects and look into better technology. Whether the city will do the right thing by the ratepayer is to be seen. The Gman wishes everybody a merry Xmas and hopes that more citizens will join him at CC meetings in the future. If you do not have the time to come to these meetings its ok as he will represent you but you at least should watch the meetings to see who is trying to help you and those who have no concern about you and your hard earned tax dollars. The Gman says he has to stop being nice to the mayor and council in the new year and they need to start being nice to the tax and rate payers. If they,’re not he may have to start playing hard ball. The Wiz knows everybody reads the planet and wishes all his adversary’s a merry Xmas.
