PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, MONDAY MEMORIAL DAY, MAY 30, 2016) — Nothing long or ponderous today, just a remembrance of all veterans, especially those who died in service to the country.

THE PLANET offers our respects and honors for their sacrifices, for which we shall ever be grateful.

That’s it. Keep in mind at some point the reason why you have this off-day. If done properly, it will refresh your spirit and let your soul take a kind of pure oxygen, rarified air born of strife and our inability as humans, after all these years, to truly realize and live by the words: Love one another.

Happy and safe keeping, my dear friends.

———————————————————————————————–

The greatest national anthem ever sung is the silence of a dead soldier.

“OPEN THE WINDOW, AUNT MILLIE.”

LOVE TO ALL.

I am thankful every day for the freedom I enjoy. I know that the price for it was paid for with the blood of my fallen comrades. God bless all those who paid the ultimate price and their families.

Thank you for a short and simple memorial. I always think of my father’s friend, Roman Sadlowski, who was the first person from Pittsfield Mass to die in WWII. He was killed on the Oklahoma on Dec 7, 1941.

Those who are willing to sacrifice their lives keep us safe from the enemies who are willing to sacrifice theirs.

Today we celebrate the brave men and women of our military- who never had the chance to live the lives we have in this wonderfull country of ours. Because of their sacrifices-we have had the opportunity to live in the most civilized country on the face of the earth. I visited the local cemeteries and paid tribute to all who wore the uniform of the US-ARMED FORCES. Every flag on a grave stone identifies at least one member who served in the ARMED FORCES. Today- we also honor the Gold star mothers and fathers whose sons and daughters paid the ultimate price. They had to live a life of heart break without their loved ones not being by their side. God bless our fallen brothers and sisters and their relatives and friends. They certainly know what paying the ultimate price is all about.

The New Old Taconic should have a Drone operating School as partt of Academics, seem this will be the way to fight Wars in the future, it has enormous possibilities.

We should also step up our Armored Vehicle output, we currently have the maker of the best Armored Vehicle in the World right here in the Berkshires.Lenco.
