— what exactly? A paint-by-the numbers exercise, the kind Donna Todd Rivers conducts for bored women who like white wine? A formality? A firing line with hair-trigger ready to condemn anyone who questions the wisdom of accepting 15 refugee families from Syria into Pittsfield?
The Limousine Liberals have dispatched their Local Lackluster Lackeys such as city councilors John Krol and Peter White to front for a do-good group out of Springfield that unilaterally decided Pittsfield would be the perfect spot for refugees, a city that has a waiting list for housing and cannot feed its own citizens.
Where does charity begin? THE PLANET seems to recall it begins at home. Except if your a Massachusetts Democrat.
Pittsfield became an unwilling victim to the decision by President Barack Obama to accept an additional 10,000 Syrians into the United States. Obama’s secretary of state is John Kerry, the Commonwealth’s former junior senator. Kerry knows where Pittsfield is, and he knows it’s the perfect spot to dump a politically expedient quantity of human collateral.
Trickle Down Tricks
Obama told Kerry. Kerry told 1st district congressman Richie Neal. Neal told Tricia Farley-Bouvier, immortally rendered by a commentator on this site as “Tricia Country-Buffet.” TFB told Mayor Linda Tyer. Tyer told Krol. Krol told White. In the midst of all this, someone along the line engaged the Jewish Family Services of Western Massachusetts (JFS) to act as the point. JFS is based in Springfield, a village that provides for Boston the first oasis west. Going east from Springfield, there be dragons and The Arts.
Who of what is JFS? We don’t know, particularly, but perhaps they will introduce themselves tonight. We know courtesy of Secret Squadron member code name “Wilson” the JFS tax returns show their president and CEO in 2014 received compensation of $179,883. Their treasurer had to get by on food stamps and $109,574. The group also had on the dockets nearly 20 other officers. Seems that the “do good” business can be mighty lucrative. The JFS is a “non-profit” agency.
With all that, did you read the article by Kameron Spaulding in the Sept. 23-29 edition of The Berkshire Courier? Spaulding led his article with these two paragraphs:
“The controversial immigration issue of Middle East refugees is coming to the Berkshires.
“This week it has been discovered that Hias, a resettlement organization, has decided that Pittsfield would be a good location to relocate refugees …”
Notice the wording:
“”Hias … has decided …”
SInce when does Hias decide anything for official Pittsfield? Perhaps Mayor Tyer can explain.
Senate Candidate Canning Warns of Backlash
Who’s going to “make out” in this deal? Where’s the money coming from, where will it go, how much, and who will decide? Which local “leaders” were complicit in imposing this controversial measure without involving We The People? These are reasonable questions, and citizens are owed answers.
Only one official or candidate has addressed this issue with the required distance, perspicacity, and engagement. Christine Canning, Republican, who is challenging Democrat Adam Hines for the open state senate seat in the 1st Berkshire District, told Spaulding: “Clearly, this was unilateral decision making … without asking people throughout the county let alone the city their input — and the backlash could be very difficult on the refugees. May I remind these Democrat elected politicians to think back about how their last bill trying to get illegal immigrants Massachusetts driving licenses went.”
It may be already decided, folks, but show up tonight at the library to let Krol, White, and the rest of your “representatives” that you’re tired of being used as a punching bag.

This refugee Trojan horse has as much to do with compassion as the bloated school budget has to do with “the children”. This whole refugee resettlement would be rejected outright if they did not come with a huge bag of money. The administrative money alone will line special interest pockets nicely and create jobs for friends and family of the connected. And there will be plenty skimmed off the food, housing, medical and education funding to bring smiles galore.
Just a couple of years ago Pittsfield has to be embarrassed into throwing a bone to its homeless population but then they were not carrying bags of gold on their backs.
Dan,this is a great opportunity for Walmartville to kill this idea of finding homes for homeless refugees. Trump will be on board to block this Christian effort by dopey do gooders led by Planet Valenti and Donald Trump.

Can everyone from the city of Pittsfield and Europe for that matter, just say a very loud “Thank you Obama”. Obama was on television just last week campaigning for Hillary and telling everyone all the wonderful things he has done for this country (which Hillary will continue) and at the end of his self congratulatory speech he said everyone should say, “Thank you Obama.
No thought at all has gone into this refugee program as to the long term impacts on communities. Everyone knows that the refugees cannot be properly vetted and just this past week the government messed up and allowed in many refugees who should have been deported. We have seen the impact on other countries when they have taken in large numbers of refugees. In France the refugee problems were blamed on that country not successfully assimilating the refugees, but we have seen in this country that even assimilation doesn’t prevent serious problems It’s not that Americans are not the MOST compassionate people on the planet, it’s that we are living in very dangerous times of terrorism, unlike any in our history, and we need to be extremely cautious.
Obama could have successfully helped the refugees to remain in their own country, but instead decided to bring them here and throughout Europe. It’s sad to see cities like Paris overrun with refugees and to consider the long term impact this will have on those places including our own.
So by assimilation you mean destroying someone’s life, family, and heritage abroad, then bringing them here to where they are culturally shocked?
Explain exactly how the refugees are supposed to stay in their own country while the rest of the world is blowing them up?

They are called safe zones and Obama could have created them for the refugees instead of trying to “fundamentally transform” America and the rest of the world by bringing in refugees from a completely different culture and religion.

Well, that “Community Forum” was a waste of time! Standing room only, but a one-way flow of info, like a lecture. I was prepared with all sorts of printed data & quotes – but there was no open mike/question/answer time. We had to write our questions on a card and hand them in. The forum leaders responded to 3 general questions at the end of the lecture. Pat, you didn’t miss anything! A few men tried shouting out questions but were asked to be quiet. Love & compassion, let’s sing kumbayyah…..waste of time!

The meeting was more of a prayer meeting. I was surprised that what I thought was a meeting about refugees turned out to be praying and a commercial for the organization putting on the poorly put together meeting.
There was clearly some misinformation given out by them.
They made it clear that we as the taxpayers of Pittsfield have no say in this.
Let’s all pray we survive all of these refugees coming to this country. They really don’t give a damn what the public thinks. These are your progressives at work. They all need to be voted out and soon if it’s not already too late for this country. I really don’t care who they say wins tonight debate or who performs better. The progressives need to go.

The Mayor was at the very back of the room, standing with a policeman in the stairway. Looked to me like she was keeping a very low profile. Hopefully she will not fall for this Trojan Horse of a refugee deal.
