DEM ‘LEADERS’ CONTINUE TO DERAIL … MEANWHILE, FORTUNATELY, TRUMP IS BEING TRUMP

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, MONDAY JAN. 16, 2017) — One of the most disturbing results of the 2016 presidential election, one that saw Donald Trump catapult over a legion of critics and haters, has to be the comments of Democrat leaders.

Come on down, Harry Reid, senate minority leader. C’mom down, John Lewis, a congressman past his expiration date. Rather than adopting a statesmanlike stance after his horse didn’t win, Reid chose instead to encourage the professional agitators and the clueless mob they lead. Lewis used his bully pulpit to bully, illogically claiming Trump’s presidency “illegitimate.”

“The election of Donald Trump has emboldened the forces of hate and bigotry in America,” Reid wrote. “White nationalists, Vladimir Putin and ISIS are celebrating Donald Trump’s victory, while innocent, law-abiding Americans are wracked with fear — especially African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Muslim Americans, LGBT Americans and Asian Americans. Watching white nationalists celebrate while innocent Americans cry tears of fear does not feel like America.” Reid said. It doesn’t rank with Churchill’s “blood, sweat, and tears” or JFK’s “Ask not what your country …” THE PLANET ranks Reid’s rhetoric just below a KKK rant and slightly above the grinding of gears when the clutch pedal is not depressed.

Lewis, in his immature, disgraceful declaration on Trump’s lack of legitimacy, rejected the near-sacred tenet of an orderly transition of power. That doctrine has separated America from the pack and alone has ensured that the Republic’s continuance, with aplomb. The real problem with Lewis’ blather is its bequeathal to a mob of clueless, close-minded ranks who would dreamily pretend Utopia is an option rather than contend with the realities of the human heart. Many actually believe in Lewis’ hatred.

Democrats, Where Have You Gone?

THE PLANET wonders: What’s happened to the Democrats? Have they lost their moorings? Reid’s and Lewis’ irrational comments do not befit national “leaders” by continuing  the playing the race card, the gender card, the Latino card — enough cards to build a shaky fort. To claim Trump’s win was a win for “white nationalists” cannot be further from the truth. Actually, it was the opposite.

Trump won because he appealed to a vast swath of forgotten Americans, the battered remnants of the endangered middle class. They don’t have the money of the elite or the power of the oligarchs, but they have enough assets to preclude them from the vast array of “gimme”s offered freely by Dems to the very groups Reid names. The Democrats’ strategy has for some time been one of keeping blacks, Latinos, single women, and other minorities poor and on the dole so they can be exploited by fear at election time.

This time, the strategy didn’t work. The most unlikeliest of presidential candidates made sure of that.

Ban In on Bannon

Trump haters also blasted the president-elect’s choice of Steve Bannon as his chief strategist.

In a recent statement, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) slammed the appointment of “Islamophobe, White nationalist Bannon.” The group said Bannon helped promote a “dark and paranoid picture” of Muslim Americans.

“The appointment of Stephen Bannon as a top Trump administration strategist sends the disturbing message that anti-Muslim conspiracy theories and white nationalist ideology will be welcome in the White House,” said Nihad Awad, CAIR’s national executive director. “We urge President-elect Trump to reconsider this ill-advised appointment if he truly seeks to unite Americans.”

THE PLANET would remind Awad that the “dark” picture some may have of Muslim Americans cannot be manufactured from anti-matter or chiffon. It exists because of the religion’s violent and militant strain pushed to the forefront of the faith by numerous acts of atrocity and barbarism.

Trump Being Trump

Meanwhile, Trump is being Trump, unafraid to act, politics be damned. This, naturally, has worried the Mediocrities and the Washington deadwood who have risen on the weakness of The Peter Principle. Think not? Look how fast he ditched New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie after the truth of Bridgegagte found daylight.

Could it be that Trump meant it when he said he wanted to “drain the swamp?”

Trump has continued what got him in the winner’s circle. In his first prime-time interview since victory, Trump said he would prioritize the deportation of two- to three million illegal immigrants deemed to be the most dangerous because of criminal records. He also pledged to appoint a Supreme Court justice who would oppose abortion as a Constitutional right and would work to overturn Roe v. Wade. He rightly says the decision should be left to the individual states. Trump also says he’s “fine” with the Supremes’ decision last year to validate same-sex marriage. THE PLANET agrees. What can possibly be wrong about two people loving each other?

As the song goes, “what the world needs now is love sweet love.” Trump’s a beginning.

Dan Valenti is Donald Trump’s propaganda blogger! Donald Trump appealed to White Nationalists who support tough immigration laws against Hispanics. Donald Trump used hate to disparage Muslims, Mexicans, Women, and “other” minority groups. Donald Trump wants to take away healthcare insurance from tens of millions of Americans by repealing Obamacare. Donald Trump compared our nation’s Intelligence agencies to “Nazi Germany”. Donald Trump is a moral hypocrite who has been married 3 times and has 5 children from 3 different women. He openly cheated on his 1st 2 wives. Yet, Donald Trump want to defund planned parenthood, criminalize abortion, and fill the U.S. Supreme Court with conservative Judges who will side with fascist interests in the name of big government. Many prominent Republicans did not support Donald Trump. Many more prominent Democrats are boycotting his Inauguration. Donald Trump is NOT my president! Down with Trump!

Isn’t there a golf course somewhere calling Harry Reid’s name? This man really needs to get out of the public eye as he continues his downward spiral into irrelevance.

It is so ironic that the same people who spew only hatred of Donald Trump and the GOP are the same people marching against hatred and bigotry. They really need to hold a mirror up to their own behavior.

Now local teachers are planning to have a march of their own against hatred and bigotry. A retired teacher is organizing the march and says she is proud of how she and other teachers who think this way are in charge of molding young minds and teaching young people how to think critically. I had to do a double take when I read that sentence. They are teaching young people how to follow the progressive ideology NOT how to think critically. Thinking critically means seeing both sides of any argument and coming to a conclusion based on logic. Critical thinking is not mindlessly following what is spoon fed by those in charge of molding young minds. Teachers in liberal schools are only teaching the progressive side of politics and that really is not giving these children a true education.

Those regressive moonbats really shouldn’t have watched all that fake news about Benghazi and e-mails. Those regressives are ignoring climate change in the face of unified science because they see a snowball in the Capitol.

Critical thinking is described by Richard Paul as a movement in two waves. The “first wave” of critical thinking is often referred to as a ‘critical analysis’ that is clear, rational thinking involving critique. Its details vary amongst those who define it. According to Barry K. Beyer, critical thinking means making clear, reasoned judgments. During the process of critical thinking, ideas should be reasoned, well thought out, and judged. The National Council for Excellence in Critical Thinking defines critical thinking as the “intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action.”

But hell, if the Bible didn’t say it, then it cannot be true. The regressive evangelicals simply won’t move from their spoon-fed ideas they get at church and on the media. Those regressives now control our government.

I have found that many of the whiners and complainers don’t have a clue how our form of government works. Most can not even tell you what the 3 branches of our government are let alone what each does. Furthermore, I question whether any of these people ever voted before. Is this the first time the candidate of their choice lost? Get over it, move on, there will be another election in 4 yrs.

The problem in Pittsfield is that the next 4 years never changes ANYTHING. It is NEVER a changing of the guard in Pittsfield. It is only a continuation of the same ineffective policies as one virtually interchangeable Democrat after another is in charge of the city. Democrats are so deeply rooted in this area that complaining has to be continual just to make a small dent in the mindset of people in this area who have been so thoroughly brainwashed by one party.

I think he’s nuts so why are supporters so unsure?

This election was as much a rejection of the progressive ideology as it was of Hillary Clinton. Progressive Democrats need to look in the mirror to discover why they lost the election. The reason isn’t a someone or a group of people they can blame.

I was listening to NPR yesterday (I urge people to do this to find out exactly what lunacy is coming from this station) and someone attempted to take some responsibility for losing the election by saying that the problem is that many people don’t like or trust big government (right so far). He said we progressives were trying to move too fast growing big government. It should have been a more subtle process so that people didn’t realize it was happening. We attempted to rush the process. Now that kind of introspection doesn’t sound like introspection at all. It’s more like let’s continue to fool the people so that we get what we want and the public will not realize it until it’s too late. It’s this kind of thinking that was rejected in November.

Only the progressives in California and the East Coast gave the popular vote win to Hillary which is why we have the electoral college in the first place so that high population areas do not dominate the elections. The rest of the country gets a voice. Yes, the big cities are all for the progressives. It doesn’t mean the rest of the sensible people in the country think the same way.

I grow weary of being characterized by my “political stance.” I believe almost everyone wants to do well, and do good. Have you ever heard of a 7 year old who wanted to grow up to be a fuck up? Have you ever heard any little kid not aspire to something? To say they want to live in a slum and have random gunfire around them all day? I believe Progressives believe in the beauty and resilience of the human spirit. I believe Conservatives/regressives, whatever we call Pat and the like, believe in the EXACT SAME THING.

Our differences arise, mostly, in what we feel is government’s role in the lives of people. We all agree that some people need help. Conservatives have been sold a bill of goods since its inception about the number of “welfare cheats” which has led them to feel that any sort of government aid programs are rife with corruption costing trillions, when the reality is all aid programs are a drop in the bucket compared to defense spending…and any number of other sacrosanct non aid programs.

And that’s the beauty of the system. We turn on each other and fight about the scraps while the wealthy continue to gorge at the trough. Have Progressives really no concern for the middle class? Have Conservatives really no concern for the really poor? For decades now, poverty and all its trappings have been the domain of people of color. Now poverty is coming for MANY of us so now the “middle class” actually is starting to care about poverty. The middle class is just the new poor…and there are a LOt more of them now, especially spread across middle America; Trumps base of support. Problem is, I believe they have been duped as well. It looks like the bankers, oil corporations and the super wealthy will do great…really well. I hope I’m wrong, but I just do not see, for example, how cancelling millions of poor people’s, WORKING POOR people’s health insurance is going to work out well.

Could you imagine if the Tea Party planned stuff like in this new video? They call themselves “Anti-fascist”…..HA

In this video, Project Veritas investigators uncover a group known as the DC Anti-fascist Coalition plotting to disrupt President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration by deploying butyric acid at the National Press Club during the Deploraball event scheduled for January 19th.

The meeting, captured on hidden camera, was held at Comet Ping Pong, a DC pizza restaurant that is better known as the location of the Pizzagate controversy. The coalition members discuss the steps they would need to take to halt the Deploraball event. Project Veritas notified the FBI, Secret Service and DC Metro Police of the content of this video prior to its release.

It doesn’t get any better. First of all, I wrote this part day after Army beat Navy. I stay with it because this is college football. Not the minor league pro football we now have. Army beat Navy. Sure I rooted for Army. Last time I played against them (1956) they beat us (Colgate) 55 – 46. Fantastic game. Princess Grace and Prince Rainer were in attendance. They had future Heisman Trophy winner Pete Dawkins, and Bob Anderson, Don Hollander who lost his life in Vietnam and West Point’s Field House is named after him, and there was Bill Carpenter, Army’s famous lonesome end. That year (1956) they had a senior halfback named Bobby Kyasky who was predicted to be the next Glenn Davis. Didn’t happen because Kyasky was injured and never reached predicted potential because of a knee injury. Army still had famous coach, Earl Blaik. Two years later, 1958 Army was ranked number 3 nationally and Pete Dawkins won the Heisman Trophy.

Here’s a little more of my football memories (as if anyone cares). Pittsfield, I mean PHS, Taconic, and St. Joe. Top me on this if you are interested. I know of many two sport greats. They are Larry Bossidy, John Perrone, Jimmy Gallagher, Al Bianchi, Gary Soldato, Buddy Sheran, Mark Belanger, George Garivaltis, Tony Gibson, Bobo Quadrozzi, Paul Clark, Frank Reid, Itch McMahon, Fred Broderick, Tom Grieve, Tony Ferdyn, Buddy Sheran, Jimmy Gallagher, Whtey Hart, Larry Herzig, Dominic Traversa, Russ Quetti, Ray Woitkowski, Jack Brennan, Joe Zavaterro, Don Kasuba. I know I am missing many great athletes. But for now that is all memory comes up with for 2 sport greats. I’m sure many disagree. One more point. Larry Bossidy could have been great in 3 sports. He was football punter at PHS 1952. His punts went 40 to 50 yards. Beat me in 100 yard dash at Clapp Park and I was a first string halfback at Division1 Colgate. Now how about that?

The tough one is three sport greats.I mean naturals in three sports. Not great in two and good in a third. Great in three. There’s not many. I can defend my choices, too. Here’s my picks. Donnie Troy, Dick Powers, Dan Cariety, Don Morehead, Chad Shade. Remember, these are guys who are naturals in three sports.

Okay, I’ll submit this now wait for criticism, or praise, of my choices.
