KAVANAUGH HEARINGS CHARACTER ASSASSINATION AT ITS WORST

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

ADD 1, SEPT. 28 pm. — In late developments Friday, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 11-10 along party lines to send Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the full Senate. They also agreed to delay the full Senate vote until the FBI could complete a new investigation into Kavanaugh with respect to the specific and narrow allegations made against him by Christine Ford. President Donald Trump ordered the probe, which will be limited to Ford’s charges. This will mark the seventh time Kavanaugh has been investigated by the agency.

The probe should put to rest the investigatory phase of the nomination. The agreement to get the FBI involved was hammered out in bipartisan fashion. Democrats got what they wanted: a close look at Ford’s claims. Republicans, too, “won,” requiring the FBI to complete its work within a week.

The burden of proof is on the accuser, and Kavanaugh must be considered innocent until proven otherwise. “Proven” means irrefutable hard evidence, beyond a reasonable doubt. Without this, the American system of justice collapses, with the new standard for verdicts not being evidentiary proof but an unsupported single-accuser allegation. Yes — police state territory.

———- 000 ———-

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, THE WEEKEND EDITION SEPT. 28-30, 2018) — THE PLANET initially planned to present the “how” of successful sticker or write-in campaigns as a follow up to our previous column. However, the Senate Judiciary Committee (SJC)hijacked that plan with the “Is That All You Got?” hearings, otherwise known to C-SPAN and history as “Allegation Uprise” or the Kavanaugh-Ford showdown. Our editorial board tells us that the column initially scheduled for today will run on Monday.

We could writes tomes on what occurred Thursday on Capitol Hill, but we won’t do that. It’s clear the hearings weren’t so much about finding Pilate’s “truth” as it was about displaying the respective political freak flags — 21 of them, 11 Republicans and 10 Democrats.

They flew high and waved in a gale of hot air, the partisan low fronts colliding with the high-pressure ridge coming from social media.

———- 000 ———-

Democrats disingenuously called for Kavanaugh to ask President Trump to re-open the FBI’s investigation, the piece of coal calling the chalkboard black. First, any senator could do that. Second, the SJC ranking member, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, received Christine Blasey Ford’s accusatory letter from Ford’s congresswoman on July 30 and sat on it for nearly six weeks, a time period when all of this could have been properly handled. Third, Kavanaugh has gone through a half dozen FBI checks. Fourth, the FBI only investigates. It doesn’t reach conclusions. In other words, it does what the SJC is required by law to do — and has already done. Fifth, when SJC Chairman Charles Grassley learned of Ford’s allegations, he immediately ordered staff investigations, with a full invitation for Democrats to participate. They declined. Sixth, the FBI learned of the Ford’s claims in July and found them not credible.

Feinstein’s delay in introducing Ford’s unsupported claims provide the smoking gun. She and the others who had or knew of the letter kept quiet through more than 35 hours of the SJC’s public questioning of Kavanaugh, under oath. They kept quiet during the investigatory phase of the nomination. They kept quiet and continued to withhold evidence during confidential sessions with the judge, never once bringing the allegations to the forefront and to his face. They kept quiet as Kavanaugh responded to more than 1,200 written questions from the committee — more than every other Supreme Court nominee in U.S, history COMBINED. Instead, they withheld the allegation throughout the entire proceeding. Only then, when everyone thought the process closed and the committee set for a vote, they acted.

Who buys that?

Who among us wishes to argue the action was anything other than political, aimed at delaying the confirmation at minimum and gunning down a defenseless Kavanaugh at max? Instead, Ford, her lawyers, Feinstein, and Feinstein’s staff waited until the exhaustive vetting process was complete to drop an 11th-hour, unsupported, 36-year-old allegation into the toilet they created from what should have been a fair and honest vetting process.

Ford proved to be a shaky accuser, not believable on the face of her testimony. Every witness that she identified as having been at the high school kegger, one she can’t place in time or in space, had no recollection of the event taking place. The supposed witnesses deny the event ever occurred. In her testimony, neither Ford nor her attorneys offered any supporting evidence, fantastically claiming it was up to Kavanaugh to prove it didn’t happen. That’s not how our system works. If someone files charges, the burden of proof falls to the accuser. The Democrats were only interested in smearing Kavanaugh, relying on the hysteria generated by social media to act as judge and jury.

———- 000 ———-

What has happened to America, where scurrilous and false claims can destroy the reputation of a jurist who has an unblemished career of public service and who in his private life is attested by scores of men and women to be a man of the highest character? What effect does this have on decent people who will now stay away from politics because they are not perfect and don’t relish the prospect  of being dragged through partisan mud?

What happened Thursday before the SJC was a national disgrace.

Today THE PLANET mourns this country’s loss of soul.

Have a great weekend, everybody.

Over the years, many allegations have been made against Carmen Massimiano’s alleged sexual deviancy and alleged child molestation, including his time as an alleged predatory camp counselor at Camp Russell many decades ago, and him allegedly fondling a then 7 year old boy at the Boys Club in the early 1970s. I even read one blog post that a man allegedly took his own life over what Carmen Massimiano allegedly did to him because he felt powerless to seek help and justice. If he or someone else spoke out against Carmen Massimiano, they would face retaliation, including harm to their family or loved ones, such as losing their job, being threatened, or being the target of bullying and vicious rumors. That is how powerful Carmen Massimiano is in Pittsfield!
Then there is Angelo Stracuzzi’s alleged sexual deviancy and history of alleged child molestation.
Both Carmen and Angelo have been respective high profile leaders in Pittsfield politics.
Judge Brett Kavanaugh has many allegations made against him by at least 3 to 4 respective women that he either directly or indirectly allegedly sexually assaulted them, respectively.
In closing, whether it is Pittsfield politics or D.C. politics, there are always leaders who are alleged sexual deviants who have allegations of sexual assault against them.

Melle,
There are no facts to support any sexual assault claims against Judge Kavanaugh. There is no reason to lump him in with suspected and alleged deviants like Carmen & Angelo. Why did you leave out Bill Clinton, one of the worst abusers of women who ever occupied the White House?

Bravo Dan!
It WAS a national disgrace! The 35 year-old groundless accusations the Dems slung at Kavanaugh were an embarrassment to the judicial process. So he had a few beers as a teenager. Big whoop. JSenator Graham offered some strong push-back, and Kavanaugh’s speech showed his strength of character. Hopefully the vote will go in his favor.

What I saw in the end was the dark side of humanity, and certainly the dark side of politics. I believe that if they got Mark Judge in front of that committee, under oath, much of the hysteria could have been avoided.

Here we had a bunch of lawyer politicians having a hearing and purposely leaving out an eye witness to a potential crime. That says a whole lot to me about the integrity of the whole circus.

What you had here was a bunch of old men who had no interest in getting at the truth. A belligerant, defiant sitting judge who is terrified of the idea of an FBI investigation, and a courageous woman who stood before the nation and testified to a sexual assault, passed a lie detector test, and wanted an FBI investigation. This was a disgusting display that is becoming more common. A bunch of bullies using their power to extort their entitlements.

The Salem Witch trials ended in 1623. 325 years later, in a desperate, last ditch, democratic attempt to stop a decent man from becoming a United States supreme court justice, a Washington Witch Trial took place by the United States’s Senate committe. A disgusting and vial attempt was made to burn a man at the stake using his high school yearbook for a match, after 36 year old sexual assault allegations were found to have no basis in fact It was the beginning of the end of The Me Too Movement in America. I keep hearing the Republicans call this, and everything else, a Witch Hunt. Let’s define what that means. During the Salem Witch Trials 20 innocent people were either hanged or pressed to death (no one was burned at the stake in Salem Village). What’s happening in Washington is political gamesmanship, in a most brutal fashion. I watched the hearings and found, in my opinion, that no one won. And mostly, the Senators showed their true faces, on both sides of this. She sounded calm and credible, he sounded defiant and certainly rightfully angry over what this has done to him and his family. The Senators sounded self-righteous and partisan. This was a low point for democracy, no matter which side you’re on.

And another correction, the Salem Witch Trials were held in 1692 and the final executions ended in 1693, not 1623.

Dan,Senator Fienstien was asked by Ford not to make the letter public, she was asked to keep it confidential and she did as you would have done as she sat on the info and it became public in some other way. Ford would not have been the ideal accuser to be believes if it wasn’t for her believability under questioning by your republican designated interrogator. She said she would be for a FBI inquiry and Kavanaugh would not wa nt the FBI to investigate to clear his name……if he is approved along party lines the republicans have continued to be in denial…..Kavanaugh has always gotten a green light and seemed frustrated and out of control with the democrats yellow caution light .

So Lindsey Graham was upset about the whole process (which he helped set up) and he bitched like a banshee about how it was all designed to affect the November election.

I would submit that it will indeed affect the November election as multitudes of woman form long lines to vote out congressman who blatantly disrespected them. Playing to Trump is not always the best strategy. Actually the whole thing was a bit like a circular firing squad with the whole republican gang virtually begging woman NOT to vote for them.

I agree with Dan V. We are losing the soul of this country. We see cruel and extreme behavior. The Kavanaugh hearings were a nightmare from the very beginning with people screaming and yelling at him. Democrat senators have been calling him evil. Seems the DemoRats have been gunning for him ever since–I heard 2012, 2015, and now 2018.

The narrative that liberals have hung their hopes on to stop Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is falling apart. There are now so many holes in the story, it’s incredible Democrats are still running with it.
Christine Blasey Ford is the woman who accused Kavanaugh of drunkenly groping her at a party way back when he was 17 years old, but she has been largely unable to produce solid evidence or witnesses to back up her serious claims.
One of the only points in her favor was that she took a “lie detector” polygraph test, which was widely reported by the media as supporting her story by showing that she wasn’t lying.
That is, until now. On Wednesday, the actual details from that polygraph were released to the public — and they make her already-flimsy story seem downright unbelievable.
The biggest problem with the so-called “lie detector” results are that the examiner never actually asked questions about Kavanaugh during the polygraph test.

Bizarrely, the person conducting the polygraph — who was a third-party examiner and not a law enforcement official — had Ford scribble down her nearly 40-year-old memory of the drunken party, and then asked her two vague questions.
Those two questions were: “Is any part of your statement false?” and “Did you make up any part of your statement?”
This is absolutely important to understand: Again, the polygraph test didn’t actually ask the main accuser any questions about Kavanaugh. His name was never brought up by the interviewer.
Instead, Ford was simply asked if she she believed her own hand-written statement.
It gets even more strange, as nowhere in that written statement does the name “Kavanaugh” appear, either.
Advertisement – story continues below

And, to make matters worse, the statement from Ford that she was then asked about by the polygraph examiner directly contradicts different versions of the alleged event that the accuser has also given.
“Ford’s polygraph letter contradicts letter she sent to Feinstein,” pointed out Charles C. W. Cooke, the editor of The National Review.
RELATED: Orrin Hatch and Lindsey Graham Deliver Proof That Dems Orchestrated Kavanaugh Hit Job
“Polygraph letter says ‘4 boys and a couple of girls’ were at party. Letter to Feinstein says ‘me and four others,’” he continued. “No way to reconcile the two — irrespective of whether she’s counting herself in polygraph letter.”
It’s important to remember that fundamental facts such as how many people witnessed the alleged incident and what their genders were have been up in the air already. Even journalists from the left-leaning Washington Post are seemingly unable to keep the details straight.

“July 30 (to Dianne Feinstein): It was me and four other people. August 7 (to polygraph examiner): There were four boys and a couple of girls. September 16 (to Washington Post reporter): There were three boys and one girl,” The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis posted to Twitter, summarizing the inconsistencies.
Here’s another huge point: The fact that Ford “passed” the polygraph based on a statement that she later herself contradicted while telling the story to other people shows how unreliable this “evidence” truly is.
Contrary to how it’s shown in the movies, a polygraph can’t actually determine if a person is lying or not. All it can do is indicate how calm or stressed somebody is compared to a baseline. It can be used to indicate deception, but a completely delusional person can also “pass” a polygraph.
In other words, Ford may believe that something happened at a party four decades ago, and she may be confident that some version of her story is true, but the vagueness and unscientific nature of this process proves absolutely nothing.
The problems with this accuser’s story don’t stop there. Buried in the release of the weak polygraph results was the fact that Ford was in Maryland — on the other side of the country from her home in California — to take that test.
But the supposed reason she couldn’t appear to testify in front of the Senate and answer questions about her accusations was that she’s afraid of confined spaces, which means she won’t travel by plane.
“The GOP has been told that Ford does not want to fly from her California home to Washington … which means she may need to drive across the country,” reported Politico just five days ago. “Ford has reportedly told friends she is uncomfortable in confined spaces, indicating a physical difficulty in making the trip by plane.”

Yet the letter from Ford to Senator Feinstein made no mention of this difficulty, and casually mentioned that she planned to be back in California from the East Coast in less than three day’s time.

Shut down the white man culture? The same white men who gave their lives and limbs throughout our history so America and other counties could enjoy the freedoms that all have today? The white men who today could be called upon at anytime to protect our soil right here, if needed?

The white man or white woman for that matter isn’t the problem. It’s a far left radical party that keeps setting people up against each other…..the old divide and conquer in order to get power for themselves.

There is zero evidence to say that Brett Kavanaugh did anything sexual to Ms. Ford. You want to turn our justice system into a kangaroo court. I know none of this was taught in school or appears on the internet chat boards about how our justice system really works, but it’s called following the law. The FBI already had the opportunity to review this case and they said there is nothing here they can investigate. Don’t believe your Democratic senators who keep harping on this point. They KNOW there is nothing here to investigate. They are just trying to fool the general public into thinking that there is more that can be done here.

You can be certain that they will. More certain than death and taxes. This circus is in it’s closing act and when it ends the country and the world will have a party like no party ever seen. By then scump will be living in Vlad’s cellar parting with all the women he wants graving them by the ? and telling them how great he was when he was president. Because they will not understand him he will feel right at home. Do you get it Trumpeters?

Seriously, Mark Judge write this book called ‘Tales of a Gen X Drunk’ and we trust him? WTF.
If conservatives want a conservative judge they would do better then select some brat pack movie villain who can’t handle a cross without a temper tantrum.
Disappointed Dan, sorry. This guy is garbage and even the ABA is bac tracking. I doubt anyone’s judgement that thinks Cavvano or however Judge poorly concealed him the book is a confirmable choice.

This is one big reason why people want to come to this country because we follow the law. People come from countries where you are guilty until proven innocent. This is why they are fleeing those countries. Just because there is a MeToo movement going on and you are now convinced that EVERY woman who accuses a man of sexual misconduct is telling the truth by naming the correct person who assaulted her….do you see how many innocent people could be hauled off to jail or worse and have their lives destroyed? The FBI has said there is nothing to investigate here. We have to accept their findings.

OJ had a trial and a jury found him to be innocent. We may not always like the decision, but we don’t do vigilante justice. I hated the decision of the Casey Anthony trial and really thought she was guilty. I hear they do that in South America and Russia.

Like I have always said the truth will set you free. No witnesses, A scump nominee, 11 Republican dinosaurs who made clear weeks ago that they were going to approve naugh no matter what he is accused of and they have kept their promise to scump and naugh but what everyone who is so happy for naugh fails to realize is that the American public will have their say in November and I believe that lovers of the truth will show up in numbers we have never seen in a US election to right this ship What is going to happen then is going to make many on this board very very unhappy. So savior your temporary miscalculation now because the American voting public Will right the calculation. Fake news, truth isn’t truth alternative facts is only going to play for only 30_40 more days. Real Americans will put an end to this chaos which this orange haired bloated Russian buffoon has created. Again real Americans are going to make America much greater than it has been for the last two years. This is the truth that will set the sane free. Bank on it.

Shortly before 2 pm EST today the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 11 to 10 to report the nomination to the Senate floor (with the Flaky understanding that the floor vote will be delayed for one wekk and no more than two (?) to allow an FBI investigation, “to be limited in time and scope”)

Just a few minutes after that, Senator Markey (D, MA) walked into the BCC library, completely unmolested by any Stalinist mob of any sort over his probable no vote the Kavanaugh nomination.

Republican senators on the other hand . . .

The next Democratic president will have to spend the first two years of her term untangling the tremendous mess Scump has created here and abroad. We know who the real dictators are and we are not fooled. Do you know that the far left Dems are already creating an URL to prepare for the next potential conservative Supreme Court pick in order to take him or her down before they are even picked. These far left people are out for total control. The moderate Dems are being led by the far leftists so there is no hope of pulling this party out of the extremism.

Pat, democrats have been caught on tape using a voodoo doll to make Flake do the unthinkable. How low can they go? They are just awful people and should all have to wear ankle bracelets and scarlet letters. ANDDDDD they should not be allowed to have children but if they do they should not be allowed to talk to them lest they contaminate their minds with democratic drivel.

Pat it is going to take a long time to repatriate you because scump presently has you hook line and sinker. I beginning to wonder if there is any hope for you.You are thoroughly brainwashed. Give up fox news as I asked you to do some time ago and seek out other sources I pointed you to in the past. You are worth saving just tremendously mixed up. Do you think you would make a good teacher like my friend the Gman? Watch his shows. They are fact filled and very informative. Have you ever seen his shows. He tries to help you and all other citizens but many like to throw stones at him Do you think he is working hard to help you and all city residents? Have you ever heard him ask for anything for himself? He is someone you should post about but we have seen nothing from you. He can help you scump could care less if you live or die. You see if he doesn’t have everyone’s support you and many who post on this board will be leaving town soon. This should be the topic on this board daily because what the wiz is doing is trying to save the residents from unscrupulous duds who are running this city. No one in this city can save this city from ruin that is coming if Gaetanis is not successful. All of you out there better start thinking about this because this is a do or die situation and that is why a individual of the Gman’s capabilities is involved. Everything is on his shoulders but the Gman performs best when his back is up against the wall. If he decides to throw in the towel you city residents are in huge trouble. No matter what happens with these w/s projects the Gman wins. If he kills the projects you and he win if he loses you lose but he still wins. How? He will buy your homes for pennies on the dollar and sell them for double what you paid for them. Do you understand now why I so admire the Gman? He is Gnious indeed. I am a millionaire because of him He should be listened to and listened to very carefully. He doesn’t need you. You need him and do not forget it.

TDs x lachs some ting wong angina and God knows how many other names you post under let me explain something to you. Any one who ever fought in a war is a war hero. Some are officially recognized like the Gman and the majority are not. The wiz spent almost 17 months in that hell hole He. Scooped up more remains of human corpses and placed them in body bags who were not recognized for their efforts. Every last one of those KIA,’s were to him War Heroes and because of them he is alive today. I do not know about Bluminthal,’s military service but if he was in the Vietnam war he is a hero. Additionally even people who were in the military but not in the war directly were to some extent heroes because they supported the troops in the field I like to call all who have served in the military heroes because they make up such a small minority of US citizens. To all who have served my heartfelt thanks to you. You are true patriots. TDS are you a war hero based on my interpretation of a war hero?

Blumenthal was no hero. He lied about serving in Vietnam. He never left the U.S. He is a classic case of stolen valor. He is a total fraud as are most of the senatorial democrats. With these clowns in Washington any patriot should be ashamed to have a D after their name. They are all either communists, socialists or fascists?

I disagree. All bloggers here boasting of booting out President Trump in November are really interested in having their own party back in power. This isn’t really about Trump. They want the far left radical agenda back in play not these policies that are helping the country get back on its feet. Until the rest of the country is in the same shape as Pittsfield, people here will not be happy. You know it’s true.

This so-called investigation regarding Kavanaugh and Ford is just a time killer until the November elections. Everyone knows it. Actually I am resting comfortably because the country has finally seen where all this craziness is leading after the insanity of the past few days.
