PITTSFIELD 4TH WORST CITY IN THE WORLD — THE WORLD — FOR C-19 … STAY THE F%^& HOME … plus … PLANET ISSUES ‘LICENSES TO KILL’

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY APRIL 1, 2020) — THE PLANET shall skip the obvious, that is, an April Fool’s jest, by giving you something that, if it weren’t life-and-death serious, would be the biggest joke of all.

“Submitted for your approval,” as Rod Serling would say, “one helpless city, run aground by the incompetence of its ‘leadership.'”

More than ever, it’s time for citizens to take matters into their own hands:

  • Do not rely on the city of Pittsfield to give you honest information. They won’t. They’re hiding something.
  • Seek out information from reliable sources. Use discernment.
  • Follow common-sense policies, especially frequent hand-washing.
  • Treat “guidelines” about social distancing as “orders.” This is BY FAR THE SINGLEMOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO. Too many people in Pittsfield are ignoring this, and this is setting back the city incalculably.
  • Think for yourself.
  • Finally, obey the “shelter-in-place” directive. In plain English, “stay the fuck home.”

Perhaps we can sign up some lone gunmen to roam the streets, picking off anyone who’s congregating anywhere off limits. THE PLANET recommends starting at the skateboard park. Then Onota Lake. We shall issue free-of-charge a coveted Z-Agent License to Kill to anyone who meets the requirements. The License provides immunity from all prosecution. There are targets everywhere. Be creative. Most of the people you eliminate will not be missed. Not only that, but the collective common good goes up for each one of these idiots that takes “two in the hat.” Might as well do that, since it’s clear the local authorities under the mayor, police chief, and district attorney love to coddle the creeps and don’t care about The Kapanskis.

———- 000 ———-

The following chart should come as no surprise to you.  It lists confirmed cases of COVID-19 per 1,000 metro area. In the entire world, Pittsfield has 9th worst record. But it’s even worse than that. The latest count in Berkshire County, up from 73, is 171. Since the city has about 75% of cases in Berkshire County, it gives Pittsfield 128 cases pushing the rate/thousand to 1.31.  This moves Tyer-land up to a 4th place tie for worst  IN THE WORLD, surpassed only by Wuhan, China; Lombardy, Italy; NYC; and tied with Albany, Ga.; and New Orleans.

You should require no more proof of the incompetency of Mayor Linda Tyer than this statistic. Throw in every department head, along with Pee Pee Peter Marchetti, and Lady Boots Yon. Add JIV, too. He’s not a department head. He’s the Warlord of an untouchable fiefdom.

If there is any shred of equanimity and resolve left in the general population, once we get through this pandemic, there should be the immediate circulation calling for the removal of Linda Tyer from office should be initiated. Would you sign such a petition?

Confirmed cases per 1,000 by metro area (NY Times)

METRO OR MICRO AREA POPULATION CASES PER THOUSAND
City of Wuhan, China 11.1 mil. 50,821 4.59
Lombardy region, Italy 10 mil. 34,889 3.48
New York 20 mil. 43,016 2.15
Albany, Ga. 153,000 206 1.35
New Orleans 1.3 mil. 1,674 1.32
Seattle 3.9 mil. 2,543 0.65
Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk, Conn. 944,000 607 0.64
Mount Vernon-Anacortes, Wash. 128,000 78 0.61
Pittsfield, Mass. 126,000 73 0.58
Detroit 4.3 mil. 2,468 0.57
Kingston, N.Y. 179,000 89 0.50
East Stroudsburg, Pa. 170,000 67 0.40
Show Low, Ariz. 110,000 43 0.39
Albany, N.Y. 883,000 340 0.38
Bellingham, Wash. 226,000 86 0.38

———- ooo ———-

As the dire situation in Pittsfield shows, COVID-19 won’t be conquered by indifference or incompetence. It requires resolution through common sense, smarts, and STAYING THE FUCK  HOME.

Please.

If you see anyone gathering where they shouldn’t, and you’re able, take their picture and begin online shaming.

Stay well, dear friends.

BMC is lying about the numbers. They are holding tests and submitting them in smaller batches. They’ve also slowed down the testing dramatically. They take tests then “process” them.

Be very careful peeps. It’s much worse than they are letting on. Nurses licensed in MA and NY are leaving because BMC is such a fucking mess.

I’m not sure if it’s a conspiracy to make us look better or if it’s a cover your ass on the part of BMC management.
They have fucked the Berkshires over but good.
The mayor needs to be in jail for her stupidity.

With tests scarce, epidemiologists are looking at hospitalizations as an indicator of how the novel coronavirus is spreading. But in some of the areas of the country worst-hit by COVID-19, states and counties aren’t releasing that data.

They have the data but BHS isn’t sharing the information with the public.

I am curious about the local number of dead. Been looking at obituaries and where people died. Who assigns cause of death to be put on death certificate? And is there any fact checking?

RN

The local coroner or the attending physician at death.
Obituaries are not a good way to tell how a person dies because they are not official only the death certificates.
In an obituary they don’t even have to say and there are code words. Died suddenly can mean OD, suicide, etc if somebody dies of complications HIV/AIDS they put “complications from a long standing illness” or something like that

Assuming there is a charter provison for removal, and assuming it happened, I would assume marchetti would assume the position, and I assume a special election would be held to dethrone him, and i assume another GOBSIG would assume the position. Would we be better off, or worse? Sometimes, you’re better off with the devil you know, and in fairness to Mr. Melle’s honey, she did win fair and square didn’t she? Linda Tyer is the Mayor of Pittsfield through 2023. She is dealing with a global pandemic. In the past 5 days, over 3,000 American citizens have died of Coronavirus. If the precautions work, there will be between 100,000 – 240,000 dead American citizens from COVID-19. If they don’t work, then we are looking at up to 2,500,000 dead American citizens. This is a nightmare! Hospitals are overwhelmed and lack the medical capacity to deal with this “invisible war”.

She is a very weak woman that was given the city clerk job, in charge of our voting machines. She needed to step down from that position when she ran for mayor. She is both incompetent and unqualified. As a mother and grandmother I am concerned about the future of our city for our children and our children’s children. Tyer is an embarrassment to all women and no threat to any man .

When you can get products from Amazon or Target or Walmart, due to striking workers, or truckers who can’t get food, lodging, and gas, or because the wokers in these places are too sick to work, or because you can but others can’t because they are broke, watch for the societal breakdown. When they come for your groceries and TP,how will you protect your family? All these wacky progressives like Harrington and Tyer want to go soft on crime and let everybody outta jail in the middle of a pandemic and guess what? Crime will rise when people get hungry enough. Protect your house.

Has consideration been given to the possibility that what gave rise to the outbreak in Pittsfield of Coronavirus is the city’s booming drug trade, the ‘mules’ for which import those drugs (and unknowingly Coronavirus) from viral hot spots NYC, Albany, Boston, etc.?

They may have helped spread it. Sanctuary state status (again, along with NY & CT) may also be a factor.
I believe the mortality rates are higher here due to the high percentage of elderly residents who are most susceptible to the flu.

Insightful observation. Influx from from viral hot stops may also be exacerbated by Ruberto’s, TFB’s, Massimiano’s, Tyer’s, and GOB cult’s concerted effort to inflate census and population numbers for financial benefits by recruiting and encouraging city employees and jail populace, etc. ( all with an extended family and personal networks) to relocate to the Pitts. from NY, NJ, PR, etc.,etc. Several of these groupings are confirmed to have recently opened their Pittsfield homes as a refuge for family and friends from the larger hot spots. Besides a tooth brush, no telling what additional baggage they may have brought with them.

The award (like all their awards) will be bought and paid for by none other than themselves. The Berkshire Pigeon will make it front page news and the article will tell us how lucky we are to have BMC in our town.

Troglodytes and stupidennials.

Is there any testing going on in this city? I’ve seen the Park St. testing tents deserted the last two afternoons.

But not sure why the long drive at Burbank Park/Onota is closed off. So this forces everyone into the boat launch parking area, thus creating more density, ipso facto!? The beach parking lot was fine–people kept their distance pretty well. Walkers, joggers, strollers all kept at distance from each other on the paths.

Only thing I can see is that they want to keep kids away from the playground equipment. But park at the boat launch and have Sally and Jimmy ride their small-wheelers down there anyway, duh?

Queens, New York is now the epicenter of the corona virus and Pittsfield just happened to have someone come from that area and end up at BMC and later die. This person was first sent home here in Pittsfield and later returned to the hospital in very serious condition. The best results for this virus happen when people are treated early. People should call their doctor if they think they have it and get the test and then any medication if they do have the virus.

Peeps the shortage of supplies at BMC is because the administration is cheap. If they keep a lot of supplies it looks bad on their books. Even though it’s a non-profit the bonuses for the executives and certain administrators is based on certain performance things and lots of inventory of supplies is bad. It’s the greed in BMC that’s made this so bad.
Remember they fought to limit staffing per patient, maybe if there were more nurses to pay attention to what was going on instead of the administration covering up the outbreak we wouldn’t have the patients we do.
The number of COVID+ patients is a lot higher what they are saying. BMC is lying and more people will be dying.

Councilor Helen Moon, former RN , has asked everyone to vote for her on 4/4 for a seat on the Democratic State Committee. Title is Affirmative Action Add-on to the committee. Once again priorities are messed up in this Administration. Missing Mayor, who so far her most prominent communication is about coloring. Our Chief of Police states he is going stir crazy so he is reading kids books while his officers are out fighting a pandemic war and getting sick because of lack of protective equipment, The head of our schools who can’t figure out how to get school work out to the children. The President of our City Council who can’t figure out how to get in touch with other members of the Council. Wish this was all an April Fool’s joke folks, but it is not. On a positive note it is so great to have the Springfield TV station back. They have been more informative in one day than what we have received from this Administration and the BB in weeks. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if this pandemic virus was a big April’s Fool joke and we could all go back to a normal life. Stay safe.

Chucky’s ass on fire behind the grate update:

What’s going on now is that the Left is freaking because Trump’s approval numbers are rising. Can’t have that. Gotta get the Car-vile war room cranking.

So instead of airing the whole Trump daily presser, CNN and MSNBC cut away–to bitch about what Trump is saying, or how he is saying it, or the tone he is using, or the hair on his head while he is saying it, or the way he is standing, or the way is looking, or, or, or . . .

Can’t have the president “infiltered” or ‘”uninterrupted,” they actually say. Yes, because these people are so much smarter and better than Trump–and you or I.

I mean, fine, don’t show the whole thing. But all you got is a bitch-whine?

Sick of hearing that on social media. These comments like “Do we feel great again?” and “Are we winning now?” is just plain mean and bad and there are no words. We have a much larger population than Italy, so it is logical that we will have more sick and more dying.

It’s really not up to the Federal Govt. to provide masks, gowns, respirators, etc. The states are supposed to take care of their own state and a huge city like New York City should have been prepared long ago for a pandemic. Cuomo decided years ago not to get more respirators for New York. That was a bad decision considering New York City is a huge target for terrorists and in a pandemic such as we have now, those respirators are much needed. President Trump is trying to help New York with GM making respirators, but it takes time to make them.

I am not for or against Harrington, I must point out that factually you are stating something that is completely false! The ACLU never was part of any DA election that is just fake news at it’s finest. Facts still matter right?. The ACLU and the Defense Bar is actually the ones asking for release of non violent inmates not the Sheriff DA or Police chiefs. The virus is spreading as you know at an accelerated rate and if you don’t think that is going to hit the jails well you are just delusional. Check that)))) the sheriff and others in charge are already out. So I can say with certainty that it will run rampant throughout the jail population that will require major resources to deal with resources that are not available. We need to make room for the violent criminals that are at home now beating and terrorizing family members. Once the checks arrive we are going to be dealing with large numbers of overdoses and the like. So you may not like this and will probably fuel the criminals are being let loose Hysteria but the violent criminals will stay the the SJC will make that ruling soon not the DA’s you mention. I respect the people in charge that have to make the tough choices not the ones that sit on the sidelines and be the critic during these times.

I don’t know why the former North Adams hospital isn’t being utilized in some way. Maybe it could be used to treat patients with conditions other than covid-19. Then again it’s a longer drive for the frequent victims of drive by shootings.

things just don’t add up and when it feels wonky it is wonky. the dashboard says we have 62 confirmed case, 1 death, and no one recovering. radio says there are 18 patients in BMC recovering from virus. the confirmed cases go back to March 8, no one has recovered ? this crisis is just to complicated for the Mayor and City council to handle properly. leading in good times is easy, now not so easy…perhaps the Tyer strategy of trashing every person that didn’t support has backfired as we are using 50% of the resources in our little community b/c she has ostracized and cast out the other 50% – she is about exclusion and that right now is hurting us.

Stop enforcing no parking violations and concentrate on parks and the Causeway at Onota and who knows where else? for starters…Mayor! And thank you also 1420 best info so far outside the planet.

U.S.—Teachers at government schools have raised their concerns that the recent closure of their institutions will have a damaging effect on students. In particular, the nation’s educators are worried that the longer the schools are closed, the more likely it is that students will begin thinking for themselves, learn life skills away from the government school system, and realize how much more they learn at home.

“We must reopen as soon as possible — before they regain their ability to have independent thoughts,” said New York 4th-grade teacher Ms. Jenny Mudd. “This is an urgent crisis. We realize we have to do our part to prevent the spread of the virus, but we must also prevent the spread of unapproved ideas. There’s a balance there.”

“Reopen the schools before it is too late.”

Sure enough, studies have already shown a strong correlation between everyone being homeschooled and a concerning spike in independent thought. Students who have been away from the government school system for even a week stop feeling depressed and anxious all the time and even show a shocking increase in the ability to form thoughts and ideas not approved by the government.

Teachers have further pointed out that parents aren’t properly equipped to indoctrinate their children with government propaganda. “I went to school for eight years to be able to do this,” said Portland kindergarten teacher Ms. Pinkerton. “Parents just don’t have the experience of stuffing kids’ heads full of a statist worldview seven hours a day like I do.”

Just heard the same stats on 1420 am as Pat reported earlier; 18 Chinese Flu victims in BMC, 1 in Fairview. I’m glad that the number is so few, however the question remains – why shut down the entire economy over 19 cases in the hospital? Wouldn’t it make more sense for the Guv to allow Berkshire County to reopen restaurants, businesses, etc. and encourage the elderly & infirm to self-quarantine?? We are destroying our local businesses over a flu outbreak!

There has to be someone in the city government who understands what printing (without production) dollars does to savings, bonds, insurance, and other investments. It’s not only without production now but the means of production are closing because of these freebies to one and all. It cheapens your saved dollars and history shows it could make them worthless. Yet we approve and cheer politicians who give us these freebies. Now another one is in a planning stage, and we have not even received monies from the first give away. It is as if no one understands the long term repercussions of financial give away programs. Germany knows what this leads to. The allies severely punished Germany after WW1 with financial penalties that could not be paid. This cheapened the German mark and Germans would grocery shop with wheelbarrows full of marks (dollars). This led to the popularity and rise of Adolph Hitler and you know the rest of the story. As I mentioned, if you are a saver look into what I am saying. Your savings may be valued at a lot less when you decide to withdraw and spend them. I hope you don’t have to take a wheelbarrow to the bank. This really did happen. Check your history. We should not just print money and give it away like a giant welfare program and think there will be no repercussions. Economics doesn’t work that way.

What is your alternative? Millions of workers have lost their jobs and income. $1,200 will get the average worker through one to two weeks. Most of the freebies ($500 billion) go to bailouts for Corporate America. Unlike Germany one hundred years ago, most countries today are all deep in debts. In the 1920’s, Hitler openly admired our country: U.S.A. – because we had racist laws, including racist eugenics laws, racist immigration laws that targeted or openly discriminated against Jewish and Italian people in particular, and racist Jim Crow laws against black or African-American people. WW2 began in 1939, but the U.S.A. did not enter WW2 until after Pearl Harbor in December of 1941, or more than 2 years later. Since WW2, our country’s war machine has fought wars without end or victory. The U.S. military killed over 5 million Vietnamese people in the Vietnam Conflict. Our country’s #1 non-farm export is selling military weapons and related technologies to foreign governments. Western democracies, Russia, and China all arm the World with military weapons. We have cut federal taxes many times over while funding the military industrial complex. It is called “Guns & Butter”. In closing, I believe if we want to stop 1930’s-style fascism, we should stop cutting federal taxes for Corporate America, stop excessively funding the military industrial complex, limit our country’s war machine that has killed millions of foreign people since WW2, and rebuild our country’s middle class with living wage jobs for average American workers.

It’s interesting that the use of vitamin C via IV to treat coronavirus patients is not getting much publicity for being an effective remedy. This article states that vitamin C “ is not a sexy” treatment; translation – pharmaceutical companies won’t make a killing on it. Another factor may be that 98% of vitamin C comes from China.

As expected, we are seeing sustained community transmission of the coronavirus in Western Massachusetts. Therefore, like other hospitals and health systems across the Commonwealth in accordance with Massachusetts Department of Public Health guidelines, we are adjusting our procedures for this new stage in our response to the pandemic.

Staff Exposed to the Virus in Patient Interactions
With the virus so prevalent in the community, and with all employees masking at all times, there is no longer a need for a furlough after exposure to a COVID patient. We will continue to conduct screenings to identify potential exposures and find opportunities to improve process. If the screener determines that you have potentially been exposed, you should continue to mask, check your temperature and symptoms daily, and continue to work.

If You Become Sick
Regardless of the source of your symptoms, this simple statement continues to apply: If you’re sick, stay home. More specifically:

Stay Home and Call Occupational Health at 447-2684 if You Have:
Fever greater than 100 degrees and / or lower respiratory symptoms (cough, chest congestion, shortness of breath, tight sensation in your chest)
Any other serious illness that would have kept you out of work before the current situation
Come to Work if You:
Have upper respiratory symptoms (runny nose, nasal congestion, common cold or seasonal allergy symptoms)
Suspect you might have been exposed to coronavirus or some other illness either at work or in the community, but do not have fever or lower respiratory symptoms
As before, all absences due to illness will be handled according to normal policy (you will have access to your Earned Time, and Long-Term Illness Bank if your illness exceeds two days).

Thank you for all your efforts and your continued dedication to the health of our community as we face this crisis. If you have questions, please feel free to contact your manager, your HR Business Partner, or me at any time.

Both BHS and China are under reporting cases. This is dangerous peeps!!! If you are sick and aren’t COVID+ and can get yourself to Baystate or even Albany Med go there instead. BHS has no capacity and no leadership and they are under reporting cases because they know they fucked up. Their safety protocols are useless now.
They wanted to blame a lack of equipment but they did everything they could to not have equipment and maximize bonuses. Tyer turned a blind eye and spent more time on coloring books.

“China’s health agency said it would begin including coronavirus patients without symptoms in its official tally, implicitly acknowledging that it has not been fully reporting data on the pandemic, according to reports.

The head of China’s National Health Commission, Chang Jile, said the government will begin reporting asymptomatic patients on Wednesday and is monitoring 1,541 who have tested positive but are showing no symptoms,”

Priorities once again. Defiant Linda spends her time drafting a letter to the BB regarding the Census 2020 while putting out very little truthful information about the state of the City pertaining to the virus. Meanwhile, it had already been announced the deadline to complete Census 2020 is now August. Waste of time or what? She still is instructing her meter maids to ticket people. As I have viewed the meter maid on my street many times in the past week, far, far away from any meters I had a thought. During one of the past CC meetings, Defiant Linda’s new prodigal son Morales was trying to sell one sided street parking. Many of the vocal councilors (there are very few) questioned how this was to be enforced if we are already very short staffed on police officers (even though during Defiant Linda’s campaign she stated she had added many). Wondering if once again Defiant Linda is trying to pull a secretive fast one so she can push prodigal son Morales idea through. Not sure if this is what she is doing, but come on Defiant Linda, wake up, the world is in turmoil, take a look at your priorities or step aside and let someone that can run a City step in, maybe the Governor should take us over. As far as JIV asking for 3,000 new Chromebooks, isn’t it strange that there is no monies for a Resource Officer at Reid, but there is plenty for Chromebooks and USB cords. I believe him asking for this equipment is delay tactic because he and Lady Boots can’t figure out how to get schoolwork out to the children of Pittsfield.

As stated many times on here,if you have weak officials, the criminal element run wild, especially if the people in charge have no experience or brain skill to deal with these problems. Pandemic or not,Wait until summer, that’s if we have the personnel to deal with it.
