(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, MONDAY. NOV. 23, 2020) — As THE PLANET shared before, we have a VEDDY CLOSE source within the inner circle of presumed president-elect, Syracuse Joe Biden. He/she shared a decision that hasn’t been announced yet. Should President Trump’s attempt to overturn the election results fail, as it looks to be the case, one of Biden’s biggest tasks will be to assemble a cabinet.
This decision sounds easier than it will be in reality, primarily because it looks like the Republicans will hold on to the Senate. The “Greatest Deliberative Body in the Whirled” must approve any Biden pick. Enter, politics, that systematic filth that has entered every aspect of public life. Syracuse Joe therefore has to walk on the thin wire overstitching a perilous gap, the one that lies between appeasing the radical members of his own party, who are working relentlessly to move Democrats to the extreme left, and finding candidates centrist enough to pass Senate muster.
Our source says Biden has decided on what might be his most important pick, that for Secretary of State.

Blinker served under President Obama as No. 2 guy in State, so he has “experience.” We put the words in quotes because we’re not sure how suitable that experience will be for State’s top job. Again, politics. The Secretary of State has always been a post with political overtones, but in 2020, the job is politics first, diplomacy second.
THE PLANET knows next to nothing about Blinker himself, except that he’s been a Biden loyalist for … well, just about forever. Once again it will be hard to separate politics from America’s top diplomatic position. Blinker, 58, went to Harvard, where he edited the daily student newspaper. An ink-stained wretch: See, he can’t be all bad. Blinker, a Jew, married at Catholic woman in a bi-denominational service held in a Catholic Church. Wonder if he will bring a lawyer with him when he goes to confession?
The background to all this is the President’s refusal to concede. As we said in an earlier column, it’s not in Trump’s nature, and that’s what we like about him.

Rudy Giuliani has also gone into details about alleged patterns of voter fraud in multiple states.”
This doesn’t translate into blind support on THE PLANET‘s part for Trump’s refusal to concede, only that we admire the determination and resolve. Actually, we are more than prepared to welcome Syracuse Joe to the Oval Office.
Can he stand up to the radical elements in his own party who will constantly nag him to embrace extremist (and ruinous) policy while at the same time finding a way to work with, over, under, around, and through equally extreme members of the opposition who will look to sink his presidency before it has a chance?
Joe’s capable of pulling it off, but will he act on that capacity? Action is all.
If (and when) Syracuse Joe gets to the White House, we’re pretty sure our source will go with him. That might provide THE PLANET with some inside access. For that reason alone, we hope he gets the chance.

Donald Trump is personally responsible for a large percentage of the quarter-million-plus COVID deaths that have occurred in the USA. The reason is that over the past eight months, we have all seen Trump continually minimizing the COVID danger, insisting over and over again in countless venues and at countless rallies and speeches that COVID was not a big problem and that it would soon disappear – when he in fact knew better – just because he was afraid such an admission would hurt his election chances. This is
criminal behavior because it resulted in so many unnecessary deaths. Trump also served as a terrible role model by not wearing a mask and not encouraging social distancing at his gatherings and rallies.
Trump is criminally responsible for the COVID deaths in our country but he will not be found legally guilty in a court of law because his lawyer can plead insanity. The lawyer can plead insanity because Trump is in fact insane. Trump literally cannot tell the difference between what is true and what is false – one of the defining features of insanity. Trump will believe any story that supports that he is not wrong, regardless of the truth content of the story. Trump will open his mouth and say whatever occurs to him that will support his case and his ego, regardless of the truth content of what he says.
The sad part is that 30-40 percent of our citizens consider the definition of Truth to be whatever Trump says it is – this is the greatest tragedy of all, and is the reason why so many of our citizens are ill-informed.
I do not hate my country or my fellow citizens. I simply feel that being truthful is a very important character trait in the person who serves as the leader of our country.

Thanks for the comments. I would only add that I disagree that any one person is responsible for the 250K+ COVID deaths. When Trump acted in January to suspend travel to and from China, the opposition jumped all over him, including Syracuse Joe. They accused him of being xenophobic and worse. Another point is that the argument is being made that Trump’s actions saved millions of lives. Truth likely lies somewhere in the middle. Finally, people themselves — each individual — is responsible for the choices they made, including for personal safety and health care. We own ourselves, and we must take responsibility. Doing that, we would follow all the reasonable precautions, irrespective of what the President or anyone else says to the contrary. We agree that being truthful and honest is an important personal character trait. Unfortunately, if we are looking at those in national politics (or politics at any level, sadly), we won’t find it there.

After watching the news and reading many articles this past weekend pertaining to the Presidency of the USA, I am upset and down right fearful for our Country. I am ashamed of both political parties. Politicians of all States have screwed up voting in one way or another. You can’t trust any of them or the media. We have Donald who is acting like a spoiled brat and Joe who can’t even form a sentence and just stares blankly at the camera, that is if he is even facing the camera. Both parties have set the USA up to be totally vulnerable and made us the laughing stocks of the world. Bad enough Americans have to deal with the anxiety of the pandemic we also have to deal with the narcissism of these rich lying politicians, What a total mess, God Bless Us All, we need help.

I agree. Those are narrow margins. Millions of these mail-in ballots would need to be looked at to see how many are repeats, dead people, or stolen ballots from other living people. Many people are saying they went to the polls and were told they had already voted, many mail-in ballots look so similar like the same person filled them in, and with so many blank mail-in ballots available, unscrupulous people could easily have filled them out. The stakes are high for this election and the Democrats decided to tamper with the voting process using these mail-in ballots.
