PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, THE WEEKEND EDITION AUG. 20-22, 2021) — Time for THE PLANET to clean out the files.

What Campaign? — Wondering about silence and absence: Silence on the alleged “campaign trail” and absence of electoral talk. For those who don’t know, Pittsfield is electing 11 city councilors plus a school committee. Some same-old same-old and some new faces. Some new ones will be stooge candidates put up by the Administration, and others will be free agents. Of the free agents, some will be serious and others not. The serious ones will actually campaign and spend money. The dabblers won’t spend a cent and or do a thing.

The Gazette Impact — Here’s where Jonathan Levine and his beloved Pittsfield Gazette will be sorely missed. No one did a better job of keeping citizens informed of the people running for offices or and setting up debates. Who’s going to fill that gap? THE PLANET smells another “why bother?” election. Who wins? The Suits, of course.

———- ooo ———-

Parks Ur Carcass — Anyone catch Tuesday’s Parks Commission meeting? Deanna’s errand boy Jim McGrath presented commissioners with an “update” on the Springside Park pump-track proposal. Our spies in the room said McGrath “talked louder than normal and seemed defensive.” At least one commission member agreed, telling THE PLANET, “Yeah. [Jim] looked like he’s under a lot of pressure.”  For reasons as mysterious as the gases of Jupiter, Ruffer has been pushing this loud, invasive construction project for the center of the city’s cornerstone park. Not only will the concrete destroy the park but it will also enrich private interests. Now why would a “public servant” want to do that? What could be the motivation?

“Vacancy” — McGrath bears the official title of “Parks, Open Space, and Natural Resource Manager” for the city. The “open space” part of it must refer to his missing backbone. The way he schlepped for private developer Powder Horn definitely points to a lighted “Vacancy” sign inside the dude. With Deanna nagging him every day, it’s surprising he hasn’t turned into Don Knotts.

No Account — In her account of the Parks Commission meeting, iBerkshires‘ Brittany Polito faithfully reported the company line. She ignored the large group — Best Friends of Springside Park — in attendance. Polito said next to nothing about Mary Jo Maicheck’s questioning the commission about the absence of public input or Dan Miraglia asking why the commission ignored his request (and former Parks Commissioner Gene Nadeau’s request) for agenda items. She also said nothing when the comments of Legal Eagle, posted originally on THE PLANET, were read into the record. Can’t fault the young woman, though. She’s paid peanuts to produce propaganda under the guise of “news.”

Besties — The Best Friends of Springside Park are not to be confused with the Friends of Springside Park. The first is trying to preserve the park as a natural resource to be enjoyed by all. The second is trying to turn the park into a McDonald’s Playland. The Best Friends employ facts and reason. The Friends use shaming tactics and lies. So who you gonna believe?

———- ooo ———-

“Up Through the Ground Come a Bubbling Crude” — From the wires: “On the day Biden was elected, Brent crude oil was under $40 per barrel. Today, it is nearly $75 per barrel. Likewise, average gasoline prices are currently 48% higher than they were the day Biden squeaked out his narrow, no-coattails win over former President Donald Trump.”

No ExitTHE PLANET thinks of Jean Paul Sartre’s play about hell when looking at Afghanistan. It’s easy to take shots at Syracuse Joe for his decision, but we had two ways to exit: fast and painful or slow and even more painful. It’s ironic that in his most Presidential act, Biden might have sown the seeds for his party’s defeat in the mid-terms.

Christmas in August — With the chaotic U.S. pullout, the Taliban gets a treasure chest in U.S. ordnance. The list includes 2,000 armored vehicles, rockets, night-vision goggles, drones, 40 aircraft, ammunition, communications gear, and who knows what else. Is Biden to blame? As Truman’s Oval Office desk sign said: “The buck stops here.”

If Not Now, When? — “There is no good time to leave Afghanistan,” Biden told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos on Wednesday. “Fifteen years ago would’ve been a problem, 15 years from now. The basic choice is, ‘am I gonna send your sons and your daughters to war in Afghanistan in perpetuity?'” Glad Joe decided “no” to that not-so-rhetorical query.

Crime Does Pay — From the San Francisco Examiner: Deposed Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled by helicopter to the United Arab Emirates with his family, several vehicles, and $169 million in cash.

Reality Check — Let’s get real. It’s about 20 years too late to worry about the people left behind. To the Afghans who aided the U.S.: “Tough luck. You bet on the wrong horse. To the American citizens trying to get out: “This was a risk you freely took when you signed up for foreign in service in that spawned sinkhole.” To women who now face the Taliban’s strict interpretation of sharia law: “Sorry, but it’s your fellow countrymen who left you in the lurch, not America”

Watch Your Screens — All this said, THE PLANET dismisses warnings that a Taliban controlled Afghanistan will breed more terrorists and the attendant “ism.” Nope. The new battleground will be cyber-terrorism, the ability of hostile powers to bring down networks and possibly even the internet itself. You think it’s bad now? Wait until our networks go down.

———- ooo ———-

Paying Dues — Speaking of hell, in the afterlife there can only be heaven. We’re living our hell right here on earth. Birth assured that, or do you find this “veil of tears” heavenly? The good news: We’re paying dues for upcoming bliss. Whether it’s the conscious or non-conscious kind, we can’t say.

———- ooo ———-

Furnace Creek, east side of Death Valley, in 1849.

———- ooo ———-

Ah, so much to say that must be left unsaid.

And gee-zzz, if you comment, try to say something meaningful? Quit the Hatfield-McCoy snotty zingers that don’t advance the discussion. They’re wearing thin. Also, be warned. Sending batch messages  (eight, nine, 10 comments at a time) won’t cut it any longer. Our robots are now looking for that. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

You’re better than all that.

Have a great weekend, everybody.

The late Rush Limbaugh use to say the left would love to do away with elections all together. Instinctually I didn’t believe it when first heard, but that seems exactly what they want. Why cheat when you don’t have to.

Not to mention some creeper creeping about the clerk’s office after hours on election night.

But I digress, I was hoping to comment on the corrupt Williamstown PD. Personally I don’t care if the cops are a bunch of Hitler idolizer racists. But I do care if cops lie. Specifically speaking I’m referring to a Williamstown Police Officer displaying a photo of Adolph Hitler in his police locker for 20 years, NOT BECAUSE HE’s A RACIST COP, but because, as he alleges, another WPD officer bore a resemblance, so much so, as to be nicknamed “Little Adolph” by his fellow officers. Which brings me to the question of the Williamstown PD dispatcher who posted images of a gorilla’s genitals in honor of BLM. So my rhetorical question is, which Williamstown Police Officer resembles the genitals of gorillas, or more to the point, which cop doesn’t resemble the genitals of a gorilla.

I want to know how the NAACP was able to get a list of officers not trusted to take the stand. If such a list exists shouldn’t we all have this list? It seems illegal for this list to be public knowledge….Lucy…sum spraining needs to be done!

TESTILYING – The act of fabricating evidence and testifying falsely in court, esp. when performed by an officer of the law.

Obviously PERJURY ISN’T A FELONY FOR COPS, no matter how MALICIOUS IT IS!!

As to Berkshire County, last fall Harrington allegedly released a list with 8 names on the Brady list. Clearly this is an incomplete list. The LIST of DISHONEST COPS should be made PUBLIC. If I had to take a guess as to why the LIST isn’t made public, and easily accessible, to the public, my guess would be that the LIST IS MUCH TOO LONG.

And in other NEWS!

http://www.usatoday.com – Dec. 16, 2019 – Many dishonest police officers on Brady lists still work, testify – Hundreds of police officers have been labeled liars. Some still help send people to prison. Across the USA, prosecutors aren’t tracking officers misconduct, skirting Supreme Court “Brady rules and sometime leading to wrongful convictions.

Oil is nearly 100% higher not 48% higher

$40 x 1.48 (48% higher) would equal $60 (59.8)
$40 x 1.875 (87.5% higher) is $75
If something nearly doubled in cost it goes up by nearly 100%

If it goes down by half, it’s 50% off.

Since it’s going up, and it’s near double it’s nearly 100% more expensive.

The Script: The Lovely Linda tells the City Council that she lives in a millionaires-only gated community as far way from inner city Pittsfield as possible. Peter Marchetti tells the City Council to go along with the Mayor’s agenda or face retribution. The City Council is rolling in tens of millions of dollars in Biden Buck$ along with Matt Kerwood’s multimillion dollar $lush Fund$, and Pittsfield politics now want to hear from the proverbial Kapan$ki family that has been used by the ruling elites in Pittsfield as a proverbial doormat for generations. The School Committee always defends the status quo, despite its inner city public schools being ranked at Level 5 (the worst rating) by the state. In November 2021, voter turnout for the municipal and public school elections will be somewhere in the teens, while over 80 percent of registered voters may only watch blogger Dan Valenti’s unnamed reality show on TV. Also, Beacon Hill lawmakers are still sitting on over $5 billion in Biden Buck$, while they are all on their month-long August vacation. Has Chrome Dome Adam Hinds, Trippy Country Buffet, Shitty Pignatelli, Paul Marx, and/or “the Mayor” John Barrett III reached out to you about how to spend their unspent billions? Where does all of the money go? Certainly NOT to Pittsfield, Berkshire County, Western Massachusetts, and the like.

The mayor and that Ruffer character have tens of millions of government gifted dollars to spend. And somehow they have deduced that the people of Pittsfield want them to spend a large chunk of it on “housing”. And, as if by the grace of God, these two just happened to have friends and acquaintances that are in the business of building houses and apartments. WOW!! What a super lucky coincidence is THAT? OMG!!

(Apparently the rules state that this money CAN be used for sewer and water, of which the taxpayers have high debt, but no mention from the mayor on that angle)

Yes they supposedly ran a survey, however you could vote more than once. They also didn’t publicize it very well because every time I told someone about it they stated they didn’t know about it. And who created the six questions and why did you have to put them in order of 6 instead of being able to pick just one. Basically it was designed to give the answers the powers to be wanted. I would still like to see the results which mysteriously has not been publicized. BTW have the voting rolls been vetted now that are census has shrunk? Should we go back and see how it relates to how many people voted last election?

Mayor Tyer has zero interest in lowering taxes or painting lines in streets so we can follow what lane we are in or regularly sweeping the main roads every 3 weeks as the buildup of road debris is clogging sewgrates causing backups.Im surprise you dont recognize Tyer leading the gentrification of the lower class drug neighborhoods.Rents are in the 1500 a month range. You must move with that being the market.Just look a the money being pumped into North and Tyler for no reason that we know of.

The “reason” may be that some people plan on making a ton of money. And that may well be the driver behind the whole renaissance. North street provided tens of millions of dollars which went thisaway and thataway and Tyler st will open the same doors. By the way, after tens of millions of dollars spent on North street everyone seems unhappy. (except for the people who got rich on the endless, useless upgrades. Tell me again what is the benefit of a “bump out”?

Our country can’t survive uncontrolled open borders & unchecked refugee resettlements.

I agree that we really shouldn’t be bringing the entire country of Afghanistan into our country, but the hosts of Good Morning Joe and other far left news outlets are looking very cheerful this morning and are obviously not seeing what is happening as a crisis just like they don’t see our open borders as a crisis. I think we should help the Afghans that helped us over there and Christians trapped in that country, but relocating more than that is crazy considering the culture shock that they will experience. It would have been just as easy for us to just relocate them somewhere in the Middle East other than Afghanistan. Just get them out of immediate danger. I believe that the far left is just fine with what is now happening in Afghanistan.

I think the far left is just fine with what is currently happening in Afghanistan especially with the public and even our own governor of Mass. saying to bring them all here. We could take many of the Afghans out of immediate harm without having to relocate all of them to this country. The Middle East is a big place and they don’t even like our culture. That should have been done, however, BEFORE Biden removed the military from Afghanistan which was just plain stupid and shows that Biden is unfit to be president.

The cnn reporter is asking what will happen to the refugees when they come to America and that it’s heartbreaking? Is that even her job. Don’t worry,we will make sure they will be taken care of,some better than the homeless in our streets. One other item how do we know if any of these people are Taliban? Send them to St. Mary’s, or Colorado (Rockies)

How will they adjust to being told they have over 100 genders and all the other insanity in this country? We should take in many of the Afghans obviously because taking in refugees whose lives are in danger is what we do here in America, but they are a tribal people and I think eventually, once they are out of danger, they would want to return to that type of life that they are comfortable and familiar with living. Americans should have a say in all of this and not just be dictated to by our corrupt and incompetent political leaders.

And if you’re trying to tell us Trump would have left the Taliban all of those weapons and left people behind, you are beyond stupid.

This has Sotero’s fingerprints on it. Not only were his foreign policies atrocious, he showed the world how vulnerable and weak he was diplomatically and politically. He could talk a good game, but eventually you have to back up that talk. He backed up the Brink’s trucks and loaded pallets (billions of dollars) of cash to Iran….Iran, Bleak House. Comprende?

The only thing Barry was good at stirring up was the race war and hatred toward the police. It even hit home in Pittsfield, when City Ass-Clowncilor Helen Moon, lied about being arrested by white Boston/New Hampshire/Gotham City cops, and then wanted to “defund the police.” Even with violent crime at an all time high in Pittsfield and a weak on crime DA Wrong Way, Helen thinks crippling the police would have been beneficial. Gee, what could have possibly gone wrong?

There is no comparison. Leaving some troops till people are removed from danger is what makes sense not what Biden did. Seeing body parts attached to our planes is not doing a good job. Watching mothers throw their babies over a wall to save them is not doing a good job. Relying on a terrorist group to evacuate our citizens for us is not doing a good job. Biden is unfit for being Commander-In-Chief of our military.

Yesterday I got the green light to proceed onto North Street from Columbus Avenue. Two bicyclist rode right in front of my car and the woman’s car next to me. We both jammed our brakes on. Evidently bike riders do not have to abide by traffic lights. Is anyone enforcing the rules of the road? I would think bikers would also stop at red lights, but guess not. Also, noticed that many more plungers (or as my co-workers refer to them now as Deanna & Linda’s dildos) have been added. North Street get’s better by the day. NOT!

Felt terrible when I read of the arson fire at St. Joseph’s Church. Also, read that there was an additional fire set this week in the same spot, but police are denying it!? Why can we never get the truth from City Hall? Can’t help but wonder why it took over two weeks to bring this terrible crime out to the public. Was the Mayor and the Police trying to ignore the crime? Probably don’t want a blemish article on Dynamic & Vibrant North Street. Since St. Joe’s has bailed the City out for the homeless, it would be nice if Linda could take $5,000 out of one of her secret stashes or Covid monies and help the Church with the repair of the burnt door. After all, the Church property is a major hangout of all the addicted, homeless and drunks of Pittsfield. So sad!

A prosecutor with almost no experience is assigned to a case that will obviously get much public attention. A total lack of supervision, obviously and an unwillingness to take responsibility. Here she is throwing her employees under the bus and lying to the poster simultaneously. “Thankfully my office will have the opportunity to rectify this situation.” Andrea Harrington caused this problem, not some rogue lawyer who got into court and posed as a prosector. “Thankfully” we have at least one judge to reject embezzlement and the DA’s incompetence.

Karen Chase ·
Is there anyone out there who could possibly explain DA Andrea Harrington‘s thinking about the plea deal situation with the Susan B. Anthony Museum? I am perplexed.
Andrea Harrington
Hi, Karen. Thanks for reaching out. The prosecutor handling that matter exercised poor judgment in devising her recommendation and in failing to discuss with her supervisor. It is and always has been the position of my office that financial crimes by individuals in positions of trust are significant cases and should be treated as such. Thankfully my office will have the opportunity to rectify this situation. I hope this helps.

I read the news article about the Lovely Linda’s tour of North Street with the Eagle reporter. North Street businesses are NOT happy with Mayor Linda Tyer’s leadership. They complain that homeless people are pooping on the street, teens are vandalizing storefronts, drug addicts and substance abusers are raising hell, shoplifters are daily occurrences because their are no cops patrolling the North Street, parking is problem, and City Hall talks at them instead of with the small business owners. There is little foot traffic on North Street, and most of the people there are only there for social services and/or they live troubled and sad lives. Mayor Linda Tyer calls North Street “a work in progress”. The downtown arts scene experiment failed over one decade ago, yet the Lovely Linda still touts its short-lived seasonal success in the Summertime. Pittsfield is still losing population for decades on end. Even the state and local politicians do not really live in Pittsfield anymore, including Chrome Dome Adam Hinds with his $690,000 home in Amherst, Mass., Jimmy Ruberto with his condos in Naples, Florida and Lenox, Linda Tyer with her millionaire Accountant husband in the wealthy gated community, Trippy Country Buffet with her children sent to Lenox Public Schools, and so on. Pittsfield politicians don’t buy into their own propaganda about the city’s futile and redundant efforts at revitalization. Pittsfield politics is not even rational anymore. Instead, it is yet another government ran casino where the rich get to pay to play Pittsfield politics.

Notice, she didn’t bother to walk a little further into the Wild Westside where the real action comes from that causes many of the problems in the entire area? The diversity coach could have led the tour, but she wanted no part of that tour. Votes from the area are fine though.

The savages would be calling animal control if those two showed up in the dark of night.

This is a long overdue damning expose of Mayor Tyers ineptitude as well as her total cluelessness about how badly she is failing the people of Pittsfield. It took not only the unhappiness of the North st business owners but also for the local newspaper to do a bit of their own job to bring these failures to the forefront. Apparently the newspaper had to throw in some lines of ass kissing but the overall story reveals that this mayor has been out to lunch. She is so preoccupied with expensive unnecessary fun things that she has neglected the basics of running a city. She has missed doing the job of mayor by a mile.
And this is just North street. And these are the people who funded her campaign and now seem to regret their doing so. It is not like the rest of the populace thinks she is doing a great job either. But watch for a new PR campaign to bolster this fallen failure. More lipstick. More phoniness.

Everyone should read this and do it soon before she has it edited or removed altogether. Good job Eagle. If you care about the city you will do more of this.

Thanks for posting that article, Jagger.
It appears your SJW mayor & city councilors are not interested in improving North St.
Why?
Here are 3 suggestions for your city leaders;

  1. Remove the parking kiosks. Return to 1 hour free parking on North St. Have the meter maid enforce the 1 hour rule.
  2. Use that boatload of federal cash to fund multiple, regular walking patrols by the PPD. Increase car & bike patrols downtown. Increase parking lot security. Ignore Helen Moon & increase funding for the police!
  3. Use well-supervised teams of the incarcerated to weed/maintain downtown common areas.

It’s not rocket science! What is Linda doing with all her free time?

Excellent suggestions Fritz, the Mayor seemed to brush off the business owners concerns who are right in the middle of everything going on and know first hand with her usual bs. She really got testy when Valenti Clothing mentioned that one of the former mayor’s popped in on occasion and spoke with them about how things were going. It seems she is mostly concerned about how things are going for herself and a few select other$.

I respectfully disagree with you on the issue of walking patrols. I don’t object to the concept. But some years ago that HEAD pile of schitt did his own perverted version of downtown walking patrols. So, what should have been lower paid grunt work, was actually lucrative pork, assigned to higher ranking/overpaid cops.

Possible big rains coming. Do not wait for the city to clean out that storm drain near your house. Do it yourself and do it now. Will be worth the aggravation later.
And, do your gutters still have last years leaves and small branches in them? If so, get off your lazy ass and take care of it. Do not be like some local officials who neglect the basics.

No evidence that January 6th riots had any preplanning or that President Trump was involved. We have suffered through months of listening to the far left news outlets call January 6th a coordinated event. It was a devious plot to take down our government. No, a group of unarmed citizens were not capable of doing a government takedown. This report confirms that all of the far left news media was wrong.

This is your own FBI coming out with this report. Riots start very easily and you should know that from the “Summer of Love” where Antifa and BLM gathered with supposedly good intentions that turned into mayhem like burning, looting, murdering, and rioting so the far left is no less capable of getting out of control, but with the far left, far more were murdered from their actions. Your own leaders like Lizzie Warren thought it was a catharsis and so needed to let these people get the violence out of their systems.

Dan,you did not report the reason gas was so low when Biden took over and why it has gone up.Its reported for over a year that 21 million people were put out of work because Trump mishandled the Covid virus. No demand for gas dropped gas prices. Supply and demand is the reason.Looks like we found the top as we have opened up and summer prices allway fall.I believe after 180 days there are 10 million now out of work. That is a 50% drop in the unemployed.Trump also would not participate in a peaceful transfer of power and he also in a very unprecedented bizzar plan for 1/6/2021 did not allow the Biden team access to transition team.We now know what trumps plan was so it makes sense he was planning a coup at the capital. He hopefully will spend the rest of his life in jail.As long as Trump is aggitated like the press should do your profession has a chance to survive. If Trump survives our country and the world will be lost forever. Journalist have a unique responsibility in a democracy that requires them to always self regulate what they have seen and speak truth for history. With that you could do an article about the proof that 20,000,000 extra democratic votes were added out of thin air as Trump says his extra 10,000,000 was not enough. You do understand Trump had a 44% approval rating making his extra 12 million almost illogical.

TDS still glad you see things through your proverbial CNN/MSNBC/PBS view. Gas was lower for most of Trump’s term because his policy wanted US to be energy independent. BTW this was through all forms of energy creation but pushing for higher oil exploration and drilling was part of it as was the Keystone pipeline. Videos and audits have confirmed “discrepancies “ in the election so I would not be so smug with your assessment. I don’t understand your fixation and hatred for Trump, it almost seems personal. Let’s try to stay focused on who is trying to lead this country now but currently is failing. I will go to church today and pray for them anyway which I hope helps

Our military is falling victim to the WOKE culture and the put down of white men right now. It didn’t take long for this WOKE training to kick in. I think what we need right now is some angry white men and some angry men of any color and even some angry military women to storm that Afghan airport with force and rescue those people who are about to be tortured and murdered for defying the Taliban. That we can stand by and know that people will be horribly burned alive, dismembered, have eyes gouged out as one woman just did, and we do nothing that even looks aggressive except race against the clock that we stupidly created with our bad decisions is beyond belief and pathetic.

It’s too bad our lemming leaders don’t look into the detailed problems of heroin consumption sites elsewhere before they blindly announce their support. It’s too bad Pittsfield doesn’t have a mayor like this one who says we should be demanding facts and evidence of outcomes. There is little evidence of success with addicts in Canada and a lot of evidence of crime and disintegration of neighborhoods. You have to wonder why the Mayor didn’t ask businesses about this on her tour.

OPINION
Safe consumption site not the answer to Cambridge’s drug problemDC
By Doug CraigSpecial to Waterloo Region Record
Fri., July 30, 2021timer3 min. read
Every Cambridge resident has a right to feel safe in their own neighbourhood and everyone challenged with addiction has the right to medical care and full treatment facilities in our community.
Unfortunately, safe consumption sites answer neither of these fundamental aspirations for residents living in our city.
This compelling conclusion emerges from two main sources. One is the province of Alberta’s recent review on consumption sites in various cities within that province and the other are independent reviews from the Insite Injection Facility in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side.
These analyses clearly noted three facts. First, most neighbourhoods in proximity to one of these consumption sites will see a significant increase in trash, needles and public disorder. Second, there is overwhelming evidence that shows a lack of success in the treatment of addicts referred from these sites that leads to their full recovery. Finally, there is an increasing debate as to whether these sites are as successful as they claim in saving lives.
At this point, Cambridge city council, in its quest to provide a location for a new site, is now looking outside the hot zones where the highest incidence of drug-related overdoses are recorded. This manoeuvre has come as a result of political escapism rather than harm reduction because of the steely and organized opposition in the Galt business core that forced city council to look elsewhere.
As a consequence of their initial decision, councillors are now considering their second choice on the periphery of the downtown. The hope was to find less community disapproval and, after a lengthy review of potential sites by city staff, both Easton Street and Oxford Street were targeted.
This whole process has torn the fabric of the community spirit apart and derailed a proper discussion on an appropriate drug strategy.
Few addicts are brought back to full recovery because of program interventions that originate from these sites. Let’s be clear as the truth is not very often attractive, addicts don’t go to a safe consumption site for an education or to listen to advice, but to take their drugs and suppress the overwhelming anxiety of drug withdrawal.

As a community, we need to start questioning all aspects of the present drug strategy, giving particular attention to the ethical and moral framework of those policies. What is being promoted — and we need to acknowledge this — is that we are legalizing drug abuse by setting up these sites and we are supporting drug dependence with individuals who are semi-autonomous, in the grips of addiction and unable to make proper decisions about their personal health.
As we emerge from the pileup of various opinions, it should be noted that there are good people on both sides of the debate and that debate should now focus not only on safeguarding the rights of homeowners, but revisiting the present drug policies. Unfortunately, right now, Cambridge residents are being misled by a process that is built on a lack of facts and clear outcomes.
Drug abuse is rampant everywhere. Drug-related deaths are increasing yearly. Homeless encampments whose residents are susceptible to addiction are commonplace and social disorder is evident on our streets. The conclusion: it’s clear Canada’s drug strategy is a failure.
Eighteen months ago all levels of government in Canada did something quite extraordinary. They came together and supported each other in various ways to curtail the ravaging aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, we are emerging from that health emergency and it was the co-operation, financial support of $300 billon and public engagement at all levels that was successful in subduing the ravaging aspects of that health crisis.
Today, we are facing another national health crisis, which is drug addiction. It is visible everywhere in our community and we need to reengage our elected officials at all levels to come up with a new meaningful strategy that is going to achieve the same results with the same dedication and financing that was employed for the pandemic.
Putting a safe consumption site on either Easton Street or Oxford Street in Cambridge is not the answer. It’s a surrender to the continuation of the same old failed policies.
Doug Craig was the mayor of Cambridge from 2000 until 2018.

As long as there is federal dollars to be had and the injection site (s) aren’t in her neighborhood the mayor, activists and others in leadership positions want it no matter the consequences to the remaining residents of Pittsfield. $he got hers and all she has left to do is decide what area out of 3 she is going to call home when she retires.

“A Taliban fighting unit called the Badri 313 Battalion was spotted patrolling Afghanistan with U.S.-made gear, and posting one photo appearing to mock the iconic World War II photo, Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima.
Propaganda videos posted this week on channels affiliated with the Taliban show soldiers in the little-known Badri 313 Battalion carrying U.S. and U.S. ally-made weapons and gear that appear to be stolen from allied militaries while patrolling parts of Kabul.
In one propaganda photo, members of the Badri 313 Battalion are seen hoisting a Taliban flag in a similar fashion to the six U.S. Marines who raised the U.S. flag on Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima in 1945. ”

While it is true that Democratic Party state and local corrupt politicians over the past decades ran Pittsfield (Massachusetts) into the proverbial ditch while mostly blaming GE for leaving the area around 1990, the Republican Party and the Democratic Party both suck….Mayor Linda Tyer is not solely to blame for all of Pittsfield’s socioeconomic problems. It has been many past decades of failed leadership in Pittsfield politics that has led to Pittsfield being called “A City in Decay” in Gregory Crewdson’s art exhibits spanning from London, England, to New York City, to L.A. Do I believe that the Lovely Linda is out-of-touch living in her millionaires-only gated community? The answer is YES she is disconnected from the common people who are mostly protesting her failed leadership on North Street and elsewhere throughout the community, such as Pittsfield’s inner city Level 5 (or failing) public schools….I don’t believe government is rational anymore. Politicians from Beacon Hill to the Swamp are all on their month-long-plus August 2021 vacation, huge sums of stimulus and rental relief money are sitting unspent in every level of government, inflation is at decades high levels, the federal debt is increasing by trillions of dollars every fiscal year….The rich and powerful elites don’t give a damn because they are all well taken care of, while the rest of us are fearing for our survival during the ongoing Covid-19 global pandemic.

The powers to be are sitting on the money meant for helping those to remain in their places until it all blows over and then divert the money elsewhere to their liking. They will claim the money was leftover and was unused.Wait and see.

Joe and his administration at first wanted the people stranded and looking to catch a flight out would have to pay $2000. They quickly backtracked that idea because of the outcry of the people.

https://www.theblaze.com/news/isis-allegedly-threatening-to-attack-americans-in-afghanistan-biden-admin-refuses-to-answer-questions-on-threat

“The startling new development comes after the U.S. Embassy in Kabul told Americans wishing to leave the country that traveling to the airport in Kabul, where all evacuation operations are taking place, was no longer safe.”

Biden has the backbone of a jellyfish. He’s bringing Afghanis here and leaving Americans without hope.

You know it’s bad when even CNN calls Biden “an utter failure”

“What did Ward say? While waiting inside the Kabul airport compound for her flight to Qatar, Ward — who had become the face of on-the-ground reporting from Kabul since the Taliban overtook the city — succinctly described Biden’s withdrawal as an utter “failure.” “

They are just preparing the groundwork for their ultimate achievement, having giggling Kamala as the first female president. She has no qualifications whatsoever to be president, but that doesn’t matter. She is female and that’s all that counts. They could have tagged any woman off the street for the job and have had a better candidate than Kamala.

My belief all along is that Pelosi, third in line, wants the presidency.
Hopefully that will not happen.

No question that she wants the presidency, but just like Biden, she also has serious cognitive issues in my opinion. Some bizarre behavior from her in the last few years and I fear her problems will only get worse and this is so dangerous for this country.

The mayor and her stooges are manipulating the survey. They also shut down and removed the facebook discussion about how badly she was doing her job. Hope someone has a screen shot of the whole thing and re-posts it because it was illuminating to say the least.
Also curious, does she have an entourage of people who do not comment but vote thumbs up or down on this blog? En masse, depending on the mayors wishes?

The Afghans Biden imported were mostly military age men and were not vetted nor screened.

Also, the Jan 6th insurrectionists were mostly military aged men and not vetted nor screened. But Biden did not import these guys. Trump did.

John Kirby, Assistant to the Secretary of Defense and Press Secretary for the Dept. of Defense, was in a news conference yesterday about the situation in Afghanistan and seemed more concerned about his expensive 3-piece suit that he kept straightening out than about the people trapped in the airport. This Biden appointee was also in the Obama administration and is heavily political. He said we are “fighting time and space” to get these people out of the airport. No reporter asked the logical question of why they didn’t remove people from the country first before the military left and had to be brought back in under perilous conditions. That would have been too sane of a question and sanity and intelligence is in short supply in the far left media of this country.

Glenn Beck has a 22 million dollar funded mission to remove Christians from Afghanistan and he reported what is going on there:

“It is just after midnight central time and I just received my final briefing on the rescue operation for those on what I call “The Nazarene’s list”. It is not good. Thousands are inside the airport grounds but no planes are flying. Thousands more are outside the gates. Many have been beaten, whipped and some have been shot by Taliban thugs. Mother’s and fathers have passed their children over the fences, some of them throwing them over in hopes that they will be caught, cared for and live their life in America. Isis killers are now joining the ranks of the taliban, I suppose ignoring their differences until the infidels are caught, tortured and killed.
They have the names. The names we have. Those who converted to Christianity.
I have personally heard from some in hiding. They are not afraid to die, but they want their children to live and live free. Our brave teams are in grave danger. Our pilots are in grave danger the minute the air space opens. It is chaos on the ground and no sign it is going to get better anytime soon, in fact, as we get closer to the 31st deadline the worse it will get. Tens of thousands need to get out. The resources are there, courage of all is on a dramatic rise, the will is strong, but chaos and evil has been waiting for this moment.”

Twitter allows the Taliban to post on their site, but banned President Trump. That tells you all you need to know about the political motivations of Twitter which is now under the control of the far left.

Nance Pelosi is trying to sneak in a vote tomorrow on her massive spending package a/k/a Green New Deal while the crisis rages in Afghanistan. The far left wants and needs the total control over the American people to give themselves all the money and power they want that can never be removed.

If politicians are making hard decisions like leaving Afghanistan maybe we should start making hard decisions in Pittsfield, like to stop funding YUki Cohens (and other North Street Skids) lifestyle. You know the ones – those who can’t run a business with out perpetual huge sums of public money. The state has given her 250000 for covid interruption and her ex spouse 250000. Both are Bar owners — which are huge cash businesses. Are Bars integral to societies well being? Is that sum determined by how much she earned in other years or expenses from other years. Will she return the go fund me money? Her lack of care at Meth caused a covid outbreak and death and she still gets money?

The majority of North St businesses (except Rich, Carrs and some others) are just hobby businesses for political connected. Lets cut the cord and move on. None of the Berkshire tourists want to hang in Pittsfield and neither do the locals.

Woke means educated and aware.Open to all truth around us.The republican party is driven by money and will use any means nessasary to get the unwoke to vote against the woke and will slowly get the unwoke to turn to violence to keep control even if the unwoke vote against their own interest appealing to their racism and fears justifying it to their unwoke self.Trump is the master thinker of unwoke people who are following the fear Trump triggers them with…..Trump Derangement Syndrome is the cult think ingrained here on this blog.

Here is your DA using the Susan B Anthony celebration to voice her support for the right to vote for the incarcerated.
The idea that she would show her face anywhere close to that event is mind boggling. That aside, it is one thing to argue convicts should regain the right to vote once they are released. She is talking about the incarcerated. Sure, let’s give everyone committed to Bridgewater as sexually dangerous persons the majority voting rights in that town. They are deprived of their freedom but should have the right to decide what happens in Concord and other towns?? Why not also give them the right to posses a handgun?? What a dipshit. You can’t make it up.

Being that you have opinion on local Pittsfield and larger National issues having opinion on the number 1 issue for 73,000,000 million Trump voters is of interest. If you feel that Trump had the election ripped from his voters as a journalist this is the number 1 story of all time with an epic conspiracy…..I have no recall of you commenting on this belief by Trump. It is this factless lie that was followed up with an attempted overthrow of our election system on 1/6/2021….huh ,no opinion.
