MAY LAWSUIT, SNOW GRADE, PORKCHOP’s GAVEL, and SLOUCHY FAUCI

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY JAN. 10, 2024) — Today some deliberately random news and updates.

The May Lawsuit — THE PLANET talked with Attorney Janet Ruggieri, representing former Pittsfield Co-Op VP Victoria May, who has filed suit in federal court against the bank, its president Jay Anderson, senior VP Chip Moore, and former VP and now Pittsfield mayor Pete Marchetti. As you may know, May has made serious accusations against the defendants including gross mistreatment and sexual harassment, among others. A trial date has not been set, the court has not marked the matter to be heard on the defendants’ motion to strike, and no further dates have been set. Attorney Ruggieri estimates about two years from filing date (Sept. 11, 2023) to trial.

———- ooo ———-

May Lawsuit II — May has claimed a jury trial, and Ruggieri says there will be depositions under oath. We shall continue to monitor the progress of the case. One wonders what effect the case will have on the mayor, if any, as it nears trial. Some wise guys predict an out-of-court settlement. Could be, but THE PLANET thinks not. Reading court materials plus talking to sources on both sides, May seems bent on pursuing justice more than chasing money, serious charges from someone who seems to be a stable, serious woman. Only the courts can decide on guilt, which is a legal concept. Outside the courts, we peers decide on innocence, which is a moral matter.

———- ooo ———-

Let It Snow — How did Marchetti do with his first snowstorm? Depends on who you ask. Supporters say they’ve never seen the job done so well. Detractors tell us it was a blizzard of incompetence. Holmes Road seem to epitomize the mix. Plows did a decent job on the upper hill, but the lower part got the brush. THE PLANET received three evaluations, two down and one up. A couple of our spies drove through Pittsfield Sunday and reported the main streets were in “good not great” shape but, as usual, the side streets were spotty. Some got plowed while others were barely touched. Consensus: Too early to tell. Grade: Incomplete.

———- ooo ———-

The New Council’s First — Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski got a chance to see new council president Porkchop Pete White pound the gavel for the first time. Onlookers were puzzled when White took out salt and pepper tried to eat the wood. Porkchop thought the gavel was a T-bone steak. Actually, Pete did OK for his first solo.

— Notable quotes from the first meeting:

  • Councilor Persip is still out of his seat” — Porkchop Pete.
  • The interest rate on zero is zero” — Kufflinks Kerwood. Deep, man.
  • You don’t have to read the whole thing” — President White to councilor Kathy Amuso, who made the motions. She had the annoying, unnecessary, and time-wasting habit of repeating agenda items word-for-word, even though that’s the job of city clerk Michelle Benjamin.

— Mayor Pete Marchetti took the Israeli approach of a suit with no tie. The open shirt rocked.

— Ricky Rumpus took the podium in response to a question. Roundabout.

— Dina Climate Change is now flanked by Dumpster Earl on her right and Ken Warren Peace left. She looked like apiece of Swiss between a Graham cracker and a beet. She’s lost without Sir Chaz and his steed.

— After Open Mic, during which the council president was most generous with time, Ward 5 rep Kave-in Kavey took the oath of office. He had that “doobies” faraway look in his eyes. He wasn’t there. He was there.

— The mood? Think of a play’s opening-night jitters, a near-empty chambers, the quiet of a confessional, the flatness of a pancake, and the joy of a funeral. We chalk it up to first-night nerves. The newbies were Largely just there in body only.

———- ooo ———-

Slouchy Fauci — Did you catch Feckless Fauci’s seven hours before Congress? He avoided direct questions with ballet (not ballot) moves. What a phony. From The Daily Mail: “Dr Anthony Fauci evaded more than 100 questions about Covid, the lab leak theory and his ties to Wuhan during a landmark Congressional hearing Monday. House Republicans who quizzed the ex-White House advisor said he ‘played semantics’ to avoid conceding that he funded dangerous research in China that is feared to have started the pandemic. Dr Fauci, 82, also admitted that he signed off on millions of dollars worth of grants without reviewing the proposals – and appeared to admit his agency had little oversight of the foreign labs it bankrolled.”

———————————————————–

While you’re watching out for No. 1, make sure you don’t step in No. 2” — Rodney Dangerfield.

“OPEN THE WINDOW, AUNT MILLIE.”

LOVE TO ALL.

How did the City Council vote on GE’s “30 pieces of silver” – $8 million – settlement check to the City of Pittsfield? What happened to the original $10 million settlement check? How much “FREE CASH” does the city government have in its coffers? How much other money does the city have in its other Slush Funds? What is the sum total of surplus city cash? Pittsfield politics sold its soul for “30 pieces of silver”!

I read that the Pittsfield City Council accepted GE’s “30 pieces of silver”. I understand that the city government is sitting on a record amount of “Free” Cash and like Slush Funds in the millions of dollars. Then I read that Mayor Peter Marchetti will not commit to lowering city spending in the Fiscal Year 2025 municipal budget that will begin on July 1st, 2024.

https://www.wamc.org/news/2024-01-10/pittsfield-city-council-calls-on-marchetti-for-close-to-level-funded-budget-in-first-meeting-of-term

It would be too unrealistic to write that the fictional Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski working-class family who lives in Pittsfield (Massachusetts) are like a doormat. Rather, they are more like a toilet that City Hall shits on!

Move the Hell out of Pittsfield while you can!!!!

Funny reading about the new mayor’s response in the hate rag that keeps hating. Sounds like there is a lot of discussion that us little people do not hear, like selling Hibbard school, having an audit done and stream lining the city’s workforce. As they were talking about the increase in staffing expense so they can’t have a level budget well let me give them help how they do that give the raises but cut the numbers you are paying that is how you stay within the budget. I was quite surprised by the 7 but it is early yet let’s hope they keep the fire and passion.

The Berkshire Women’s Commission and state legislators met at the Pittsfield library this week and they are pushing a bill that is entitled “The Healthy Youth Bill” which they say aims to ensure that schools offering sex education courses teach a scientifically accurate curriculum that features age-appropriate information about gender identity and sexual orientation. Translation: Pushing books on young kids like the one in the Great Barrington controversy is just fine because they need to be scientifically accurate. This is how they will cover themselves from lawsuits by parents by passing this “anything is allowed to be taught to your child bill that we deem appropriate for their sexual and gender health”. They even mentioned the Great Barrington book incident and said they are amazed that in the liberal Berkshires there are pockets of people not looking out for the health of children. Nobody on this panel of go along to get along women spoke out in opposition to the bill calling it necessary. It’s really a book about health they say in their phony justification for the bill. Unbelievable and frightening.

This Youth Health bill is just a sneaky way to show explicit sexual literature to kids in the schools. Why are they doing this is the question? It’s part of their agenda to weaken the family unit to make people more dependent on government. Getting kids hooked on these alternate sexual and gender lifestyles at a young age will do just that and destroy the family unit.

Because it’s the truth. There is no other reason why they would push these graphic novels on sex onto middle school and younger kids. Even the author of Gender Queer said her books is for adults only, but the schools could care less. Anyone who says this particular books should not be shown to children is a hater of the LBGT cause. The people running these schools are really bad people and are not looking out for your kids.

Fauci appears to be a professional liar. If you go back far enough you can occasionally catch a moment when he told the truth, such as natural immunity is the mother of all vaccines and masks don’t work. He flip flopped and his policies led to many unnecessary deaths. He belongs in jail but I doubt that will happen. The song “Sad Little Man” was written about him and can be found on YouTube.

NY is leading the nation and showing us the blueprint of where democRAT leaders will soon be housing illegal aliens. YOUR KIDS SCHOOLS.

Kicking kids out of schools so the kids can do “remote learning,” to house illegal aliens.

Brooklyn school faces backlash for suspending classes to house migrants – Hindustan Times

This after studies showed remote learning hurt US school aged children.

COVID’s online school hurt kids’ test scores. Some adults regret it. | AP News

I know, Trump offended JM, Craig, Kindergarden, Snark, TSC, and others with “locker room guy talk,” so much so, that they would rather kick your kids out of schools for illegals.

What’s next, books for kids to read depicting other school aged kids in sexually compromising positions? Oh wait, there is….

Too scared to just eat a bullet themselves. They have to kill innocent children too.

Look who I’m trying to talk sense too? The thing that believes American kids should get kicked out of school for illegal aliens and that age-inappropriate books depicting graphic sexual images is fine for developing children.

No moron I don’t talk about the coup, because there was NOT ONE.

Stick with me for a minute TSC, I’ll try and talk you through this step by step:

  1. MAGA are “extremists” and “America’s greatest threat,” according to Xiden and the sheep that follow him.
  2. Trump posted a video on X (Twitter) on 1/6, before the “fedsurrection” took place asking people to return home peacefully.
  3. This video was immediately taken down and ruled “disinformation” by Xiden’s administration, as they tip-toe into violation American’s Constitutional Rights.
  4. Elon Musk has allowed videos on X (Twitter) showing Capitol Police Officers, undercover FIB, DHS, and other federal agents, tearing down security barriers into the crowd and encouraging people to enter the Capitol UNARMED.
  5. Other videos showed black clad ANTIFA members changing into Trump gear and encouraging chaos.
  6. democRATS want our guns, especially AR-15’s.
  7. Many MAGA are current and/or retired military, police, fire, etc, and are well trained and ARMED.
  8. Go back to step 1 and reread.
  9. Go back to step 4 and reread.
  10. Go back to step 7 and reread.
  11. Now, think of all three of those facts TSC and ask yourself why Trump supporting MAGA members would storm a major federal institution UNARMED?

Enough with the 1/6 horsesh!t. It’s been debunked and you look like an a$$clown to continue and repeat it.

Like a good democRAT, aka-loser, tuck your tail (or whatever else you D’s tuck) and go away.

Why is Dr Anthony Fauci such a target on this and other right-wing websites? His accomplishments and accolades far exceed what anyone who reads this blog could ever hope to read and understand, let alone achieve. After getting his undergrad at Holy Cross and his medical degree at Cornell (proud to say my PhD alma mater), Fauci has gone on to become one of the most respected physician-researchers in our country, capped off by being awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom the highest civilian award in our country – for his work on AIDS.

The knee-jerk attacks on Fauci have no basis in fact – just a man serving our country with the gifts he was given.

Was really hoping that Maypo would dump Kerwood and Morales. In watching them both attempting to answer simple questions last night, not one intelligent answer came out of their twisted mouths. I would think with Maypo just ending his long career at Pittsfield Co-op he would at least realize that Kerwood is not fit for the financial job. Taxpayers have not heard an honest legitimate answer out of Kerwood in now over 8 years. Morales has proven over and over that he has screwed up the roads in Pittsfield. Last night he could not even comprehend what Persip was trying to recommend, that his department needs to have constant oversight of the hired contractors to make sure they were doing the job correctly. How much monies are being wasted as contractors have to keep re-doing jobs. Just take a look at California Avenue, the contractor spent 4 months repaving and repaving, constantly having to repave customers driveways, and supposedly they still are not done. Morales stated in a previous CC meeting that the average street take approximal 1 1/2 weeks. You wonder why the city only completed 50% of the 2023 scheduled work? So, the city is already behind in 2024. C’mon Maypo, wake up.

Seems like working for the city of Pittsfield, in some cases, has little to do with ability or competence. It may have more to do with fealty and blind loyalty to the administration (special interests). If you do what you are told to do and do not do what you are told not to do, you are welcome. If you start asking questions, or thinking independently of the top echelon, you will be escorted out the door or harassed to the point of leaving on your own.

Over the years it seems like the city councilors and school committee members who asked serious budget questions did not hang around too long. Asking budget questions, audit questions or if something went out to a legitimate bidding process may put a target on your back.

So my advice to the new councilors is to stay in line with the other ducks, try not to look left or right and for gods sake do NOT talk out of turn or make suggestions that come from your own head.

And I sure hope they do not run a phony surface scratching audit just to make it look like they actually care. Get an independent auditor from Seattle or Fort Worth who is in no way connected to Pittsfield. Actually forget the Fort Worth guy and the whole state of Texas.

Do not waste money on a phony audit and share everything about it with the taxpayers Pete. You know it is the right thing to do and so does everyone else on the council. Anything less is a big FU to the city of Pittsfield.

Just cutting the DIE scammers is about a million with bennies over 4 years, same goes for the shit spotter, so there’s a quick 2 million, cut out the social worker bull shit along with the crime analyst and there is another 2 million in 4 years. Remember, Tyer increased the budget way beyond inflation. And where the hell was the council the last 8 years while Tyer raped the city and the councilors let er????? Close some schools, cut the school budget 5 percent each year minimum, for next 4 years, and you get several million more. And Tyer gave the cops millions more dollars. Totally agree with you Tax & Spend. Just to add one more suggestion. Need to do an investigation as to why the mass majority of school buses are EMPTY arriving and leaving the schools. Willing to bet the city could get rid of over half the buses. Parents are lined up causing traffic issues at every school choosing to pick their child up. Also, many families are home schooling their children because the lousy condition of education in the Pittsfield School system.

To save fuel and wear and tear on Buses, they should be parked in different quadrants of the City. For instance park at Taconic, then have those buses transport students on the west side. Only going to the Merrill road garage for maintenance. Current setup is a waste of money.

Cut free meals also. If you can’t feed your kids stop dropping them.

Those worthless things are the ones they think are most important, so any cuts are impossible. Well maybe they can trim off some of the fluff like drinking water or trash pickup and only raise taxes 49% instead of 50% over the next 4 years.

I’m really hoping that Pete White presides over a meeting in his Voltron suit. Awesome.

He’s already made four or five mistakes. He even called Patsy Harris the d a ? Lapdog Pete. Why did Amuso vote against his being President?

She was originally told SHE would be president if she got on the council. Then they back stabbed her and brought in the ringer. The other ringer.

Marchetti had 30 years to get ready for this job and not one word about budgets. The Catholic church consolidated Pete.Pittsfield needs a huge consolidation plan. You will tell us about how you needed 90 days.Get to work Pete….you were hired to bail us out. You have 4 years to cut our taxes big.

I asked a man name Pete which way to Pittsfield politics: City Hall. Pete said to go the White way. I asked Pete if I could see the new Mayor. Pete said to be careful of the Marchetti madness. I told Pete that I already know about the Tyer taxer, the Bianchi bust, the Ruberto regime and the infamous Rolodex, the Hathaway Hack, and the Doyle debacle.

Not to split hairs Dan, but you write ”Only the courts can decide on guilt, which is a legal concept. ” criminal trials determine guilt civil trials determine liability.

Gov Healy says she did a mid year cut of 375 million dollars to the state budget due to the collected monies being drained much faster than anticipated.and she is proud as hell of that.

What did she leave out of that explanation? Well let’s see now. Is it so far costing over a billion dollars to provide food, shelter, clothing and health care to thousands of immigrants? And if so, what other cuts besides those to fire departments will she be making to feed and house the thousands of more immigrants heading our way?

And how much will the city of Pittsfield be raising ITS taxes to feed, house, clothe and otherwise take care of these people? And by the way, just what is the return on this investment and how long might that take? Nobody seems to be talking bout that part.

Did Governor Maura Healey volunteer to cut her own state government public pay plus perks, too? What about Paul Mark, Tricia Farley-Bouvier, Smitty Pignatelli, John Barrett III? Did any of these career politicians offer to cut state taxes along with cutting state programs that provide social services programs to the low- to moderate-income individuals and families in Massachusetts? No, No, and No! They are all hypocrites who take care of themselves, while the rest of us pound sand.

Look. Hunter Biden made mistakes. Many probably while under the influence of drugs. But he broke the law. He must pay for his previous malfunctions. Ten years will do it. No one is above the law.

Speaking of the law, The courthouse is a buzz with Clown shoes Shugrue looking like he has been dragged behind a mule cart. But hey the city is a much safer place because Timmy has all the druggies in rehab and all the shoplifters are nonexistent. Another one will false promise. Dan, word on the street is the one and only 2 time loser Judy Knight has had her bar card torn up inquiring minds want to know?

Council and Mayor’s argument is to ‘preserve services.’

Taxpayers need to define ‘services’ and insist what services they do not want.

I can save you somewhere around $5million. Trash and recycling is now on the property owner and not the city. I’m laying off 20 cops and 20 firefighters now when you call 911 we might not be able to respond due to staffing shortages. All streetlights are off Monday -Friday. I’ll close 3 schools. All employees of those schools are laid off. City hall is now open from 8-12 and all non essential staff is laid off until further notice. No city vehicle is to leave the assigned dept for any reason other than work. And gas for said vehicles is to be limited to one fill up every 2 weeks.

Well no one shows up now when you call 911 at least not for an hour, I say the city is shrinking so the city personnel should shrink as well
