PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY FEB. 21, 2024) — In Tuesday’s Boston Herald, THE PLANET read a chilling story about the latest racial scam to gain traction, reparations.

Something called the New Democracy Coalition, a scary name if ever there was one, and the Boston People’s Black Reparation Commission (BPBRC) just announced they had concluded a series of meetings to decide how much to pressure public officials in this latest raid on the public treasury. A BPBRC spokesman said the starting figure would be $15 billion. You read it right: $15 billion with a “b” as a compensation for slavery, which Lincoln and Congress abolished on Jan. 31, 1865.

Reparation is based on the fictive fantasy that one can superimpose today’s standards on those that applied hundreds of years ago. If that is the case, then we need to pay reparation to every person on earth. The people paying reparations would do so by force, even though they had nothing to do with centuries-old injustice. The people receiving the money have not suffered as did their ancestors of centuries ago.

Reparation is what happens when scoundrels take control of public affairs, creating  a new form of institutionalized racist injustice.

About a dozen cities are talking reparation. Will Bitchfield be next?

———- ooo ———-

On a related note, we share this guest column by Sean Kerrvin, first published in The Patriot and reprinted here as a Special to THE PLANET.

Watchdogs questioned how Black Lives Matter (BLM) spent its money last year. The organization has raised millions of dollars since its inception all in the name of fighting racism.

BLM has its hands in various cookie jars as it works to further its causes while constantly raising money. What watchdogs uncovered is that it appears one hand is feeding the other when it comes to BLM finances

Questions surround the political action committee (PAC) associated with the primary BLM organization. Federal Election Commission (FEC) records showed that BLM spent the majority of its 2023 expenses paying the consulting firm owned by the treasurer of the PAC.

From the Daily Caller:

Black Lives Matter PAC paid $90,000 to Bowers Consulting Firm in 2023 for “strategic consulting services,” according to FEC disbursement filings. Shalomyah Bowers is both the treasurer of Black Lives Matter PAC and the founding president of Bowers Consulting Firm.

The twist is that, according to the FEC, treasurers like Bowers who handle the disbursement of funds for these super PAC organizations have legal authority to spend as they see fit. Bowers has her hands in both cookie jars when it comes to the BLM PAC and her own consulting firm.

————————————————–

Reparation is based on the fictive fantasy that one can superimpose today’s standards on those that applied hundreds of years ago. If that is the case, then we need to pay reparation to every person on earth.

——————————————————

FEC filings showed that Bowers Consulting Firm received about 61% of the $146,679 Black Lives Matter PAC spent in 2023. Much of the rest of the PAC’s expenses went to items such as legal fees, compliance services, payment processing fees, bank expenses, and about $10,000 on advertisements.

A donation page for the Black Lives Matter PAC claims donations received will “help us elect progressive community leaders, activists and working-class candidates fighting for Black liberation.” The claims of supporting leftist candidates doesn’t align with the story revealed in 2023 filings by the PAC.

FEC records showed that the PAC spent zero dollars to support or oppose candidates and zero dollars on transfers to candidates or other committees in 2023. After most of its expenses went to the treasurer’s consulting firm, the PAC had just $3,575 cash on hand at the end of the year.

“The fact that BLM PAC funneled almost $100,000 back to their leader, all while spending nothing to support or oppose candidates, shows they are nothing more than a scam PAC,” Americans for Public Trust Executive Director Caitlin Sutherland said.

Sutherland said this is an example of “self-enrichment” from an organization facing many complaints about their “murky finances.” These patterns with expenses, while legal, “raise serious ethical concerns,” according to Craig Holman, a government affairs lobbyist at the nonpartisan consumer advocacy organization Public Citizen.

“[The] self-enrichment of having campaigns pay for services from businesses owned by the candidate or even campaign staff is an unnecessary loophole in the campaign finance law,” Holman said.

This isn’t the only jar Bowers has his hands in with BLM. Bowers Consulting Firm received more than $2 million from Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLMGNF), the 501(c)(3) nonprofit associated with Black Lives Matter PAC, according to tax documents. This was the same time frame where Bowers was listed as the principal officer of the nonprofit.

———- ooo ———-

You turn your back for one second or one election cycle, and they’ll steal you blind.

The Founding Fathers knew full well that Slavery was, is and always will be immoral. They wrote about Slavery in their letters. When they went to France and other European non-Slavery countries to win their support and financial backing against the British Empire in the Revolutionary War, they blamed the British Crown for Slavery in the American Colonies.

It is a lie to say that Slavery was an institution because it was always controversial for centuries. When our new nation: The United States of America was born, the Founding Fathers failed to abolish Slavery because they were selfish hypocrites on more levels that today’s state lotteries are wrong, which is more levels than the many floors in the Empire State Building.

I am not a supporter of Affirmative Action, Reparations, Socialism and/or Communism because it is also wrong to use the government to correct all of our socioeconomic injustices. Moreover, it uses cultural conflicts and violence to achieve its political ends.

The government is all about money – the Almighty Dollar – and power. To be clear, the government only serves the financial, corporate and ruling elites, while the rest of us common citizens get to vote for career politicians in elections bankrolled by wealthy financial backers.

Given all of these facts, how on Earth would the government be able to change society into a utopia?

What do I – Jon Melle – support? The answer is for the government to invest in people and communities. Housing, Public Education, especially financial literacy, healthcare, public safety, full-time living wage jobs, and so on. Abolish the state lotteries, which are really (voluntary) predatory regressive taxation schemes (SCAMS), and inequitable policies and programs similar to it. Publicly report in the news media about all of the greedy lobbyists such as Dan Bosley and the multi-million-dollar K Street corporate lobbyist firms, explain that Members of U.S. Congress spend most of their time raising money for their campaign coffers instead of governing, etc.

If black lives matter then why didn’t Harris announce the billions of dollars for water infrastructure improvement including drinking water including replacing lead pipes, why didn’t she announce this in Flint Michigan?
Is she afraid to go toe to toe with a city that has questions about the Wiin Act of 2016?

Same could be said here in “Bitchfield”, why didn’t the ARPA money go to the sewer/water project which helps the whole community instead of paying for some nice nights out for the chosen black people in “Bitchfield”?

Nice nights out are one thing; there are plenty of grants available that offer a portion of the grant to incentivize people to attend; three quarters of a million dollars and trips to Ghana at our expense so that is unacceptable.
And I still have my own questions about the Wiin act of 2016 and why that wasn’t an option for Pittsfield.

Are the reparations designed to help cure racism in America? Or will it just make white folk resent the black race for taking their hard earned money, even though they had nothing whatsoever to do with slavery?

Pretty sure my feelings toward black people, which is pretty good right now, might sour. It looks a lot more like a cash, free money grab than anything else. Is the black person going to hate whitey any less if he is able to take his money? I doubt it very much. My prediction is that it actually exacerbates the racism problem as people who were never racist before may become pissed off.

“Are the reparations designed to help cure racism in America? “

No, reparations are not designed to cure racism, they are designed to offset the anti-black racism that exists in the US.

“Will it…make white folk resent the black race…?”

Yes, the white folk who were not sufficiently talented or were lazy and unable to compete will resent black race reparations.

“…my feelings toward black people, which is pretty good right now, might sour.”

This has already happened, because many unmotivated and untalented white folk are jealous because they feel others have been given an unfair advantage.

“Is the black person going to hate whitey any less if he is able to take his money?”

The black person does not hate whitey, he just wants a level playing field.

“My prediction is that it actually exacerbates the racism problem as people who were never racist before may become pissed off.”

PV also believes this. What it fails to take into account is the systemic disadvantage that minorities experience in this society, and that it is the unmotivated and untalented white folk who get pissed off.

“Black person….wants a level playing field,” states Natter.

With this comment alone, I can without a doubt say, you are either really young (20’s), a brainwashed D sheep, or both.

Do a few searches on Bill Clinton’s 1990’s Affirmative Action policies and the subsequent lawsuits that followed because it gave blacks willing to work, a 25 mile head start in a 26 mile race.

The key phrase in that, WILLING TO WORK.

Tell me again about “level playing fields” again, but with facts. Not democRAT talking points.

Reparations have already been paid, in some sense, by 60 + years worth of subsidized rent, government housing, WIC, welfare, tax credits for low income and for children, food stamps, EBT cards, Obamaphones, Obamacare, and, over the last three years, gang “takings” on a scale which has closed many long established department stores, said to be in the billions.
Not to mention preferences for college admissions, honors, and job opportunities.

In some sense, but not really. The reason is that this country still has racism in its bones. A day doesn’t go by where I don’t hear the ‘N’ word or other kinds of racist talk. You think that doesn’t effect hiring or getting a mortgage? When that underlying racism goes away, so can affirmative action and talk of reperations.

Great – let’s argue that.

You said that you experience a lot of hate speech, and I said that you have poor company. I assume that is your choice.

Instead of challenging my assumption, you make four fresh ones with “ignore the problem and it won’t exist”

Start with the first assumption pending in ‘ignore’.That means to deliberately pay no attention. It implies secondarily that I would be ignorant. You assume that both are true. That assumption does not hold water. I specifically state that you should avoid patronizing offensive people. That is not ignoring but responding. Second, as to ignorance, eschewing danger is to be aware of it.

It’s appropriate for me to stop here and let you respond.

Charles, I’d love for the people I hang around with to not think and say some of the things they do. My friends are my friends, and I’d rather they changed their points of view than cut them off. My point was that if you don’t hang around with them its avoiding the problem rather than confronting it, like you are pretending those people don’t exist – which is what many of the right-leaning folk on this board do – pretend those people don’t exist.

Charles Kronick

Well, that is a fine point, NJ. It defines you better.

I’m not understanding what a friend is whose behavior is offensive. Either their opinions and speech drives you away or you dismiss it and don’t care. This takes me to the word “and.”

“ignore the problem and it won’t exist”

With ‘and‘, you make an equation: ‘ignorance‘ yields ‘[preserving] the problem

Does it? You could beat them silly and I think they will still act the same. You could brainwash them, I suspect they would find a different way to be obnoxious. You fill a hole and a new one opens. I believe you have not established a strong connection between ignoring and the problem’s existing.

There are often times obnoxious language crops up here, sometimes I challenge it, sometimes I disregard it. The outcome is the same.

People who want freebies will never be satisfied. The politicians have Americans trained to salivate whenever they hear the word “free”. Medicare wants to provide housing, food, and other expenses so people have a basic income and don’t have to work. It makes them totally dependent on government which is why government wants to do it because it will kill ambition, give government lots of power over everyone, and eventually crash the economy, but the Biden government wants everything to reach a breaking point so that people are begging big government to make all the crime and chaos go away which they will be only too happy to do by creating a very oppressive new form of government to solve the problems they have created.

There’s literally nothing about him except that he posts on “The Patriot Journal” (not The Patriot) and then gets linked to by far right conservative blogs like RedStateConservative. So who is this guy’s credentials? Why should we believe or listen to him other than he said things we agree with? Where’s the critical thought?

It’s frankly pathetic that you’re trying your best to emulate and copycat the random bloggers on The Patriot Journal and RedStateConservative.
