- Clean house in the school department

- Clean up downtown.
THE PLANET could go on and on with this ponderous list, but why bother when we can rest assured that the most pressing issue facing the city has been addressed by the city’s “Profiles in Courage,” otherwise known as our Right Honorable Good Friend on the city council.
Rather than waste their time on such trivialities, councilors heroically took on the issue of …
… transgenders and other offices of oddities.
Councilor Alissa Costa-Plenty woke up one morning, saw her shadow, and declared that her raw-juice diet had been a failure. Not knowing what else to do, the Bosomy Babe of Bitchfield decided to Take a Walk on the Wild Side. The transies were the objects of her petition.

Not to be outdone, the Bitchfield Socohl Committee passed a meaningless resolution declaring its support of its brainwashed “wild side” students. It came in the form of a declaration of support not for reading, writing, and math but for the LGBTQ+ among its dumb-and-dumber crop of chitlins.
Slohco member Billy Garrity, a THS 2022 graduate, showed up well as the poster child for the city’s public sloohcs. His speech of “um, uh, like, and you know” illustrated that, if nothing else, the English Language and common sense are relics of the past. Little Billy made references to bigotry, hate, and–Yes!–the late criminal and drug addict George Floyd. May he rest in … something.
Local politics and the sclooh department have journeyed well beyond satire. No need for that tool of biting jest. All we have to do is report the facts.
The biggest fact for THE PLANET and for others of level heads and sound judgment is that the vast majority of Bitchfield citizens don’t give a lick about transgendered, LBGTQ+, or any other side-show issues of social engineering. They DO care about good schools, reasonable taxes, improved public services, and much more. They resent being stuck with out-of-touch, clueless “representatives” such as Costa-Plenty and Little Billy and the rest of them.
Trans? Let’s get real.
It’s delusional to insist that a person, let alone a child, can choose their own gender. It can’t be done outside of a fools’ paradise. And when public official support such fantastical figments of twisted imagination, a lot of people can get hurt, especially children and young adults. Some of these impressionable minds will fall for it to be trendy only to ensure themselves a lifetime of chaos and grief. Childhood and young adulthood are foundational years, and it’s a crime when public officials help kids waste them on nonsense.

I served honorably in the U.S. Army for 21 months from 10/08/1999 – 07/07/2001. I am disabled, including being a permanent and total disabled Veteran, due to my mental health conditions. I received a letter with the regards from the U.S. President (GWB), who ordered me a VA appeal hearing near the White House during the Summer 2004.

I have known many in the LBGTQ+ category, and I have treated them all with the respect, dignity, and love they deserve as human beings. BUT … But the moment GOVERNMENT tries to legislate with respect to alternate lifestyles, expressing not support but favoritism and demanding that PUBLIC facilities expressly promote such lifestyles, that’s the moment where I part ways. And, as you say JOE, stay away from children and stay out of the schools. I do not object to the theory of the “sanctuary” petition. The City Council has a history of recognizing discrete members of its community in context of global events, and they are rare.

I read the replies to my post(s) about my disability status. My reply is that I survived many years of abuses that I have endured during my adult life so far; I will turn 50 this upcoming Summer 2025.
I am NOT playing the victim card when I write that I am a persecuted person, especially at the hands of Pittsfield’s mean-spirited millionaire political brat Andrea Francesco Nuciforo Junior’s conspiratorial, cruel and unusual bullying me since I was 20 years old during the Spring 1996 – the past almost 29 years now.
The reason why The Twilight Zone and other shows similar to it exist is to explain how and why bureaucracy is both rational and weird at the same time. Pittsfield politics has ruined my life, as my dad, Bob, was a Pittsfield area politician over one-quarter-century ago. I have lived in this recurring episode of The Twilight Zone for almost all of my adult life.
I served our great country honorably in the military. Disabled Veterans earned their compensation and benefits from the VA by our honorable military service. Since Trump’s 2025 mass firings of federal workers, thousands of Disabled Veterans federal workers have lost their careers. But I read that people with disabilities should have to work, according to the Republican Party’s Members of U.S. Congress and The White House, who are at the same time enacting mass firings in the federal government workforce.

A vast number of people who claim a disability are not disabled. They are on disability, however. Not because they should be, but because they can be. Government ineptitude.
I think having to prove your disability occasionally is a great idea. We need disability compliance police to catch those who are faking it. I know of a few who are, and that bothers me. George Bush and his Americans with Disabilities Act, which Democrats badgered him to sign, started the flood,

PTSD aside, getting approval for SSDI is difficult. You need medical testimony and have to present for a panel to validate the enrollmwnt.
I don’t know the numbers, but I’m guessing most are disease related (immunological, severe mobility loss)

To get on disability seems to be the new American dream. And once they’re on ,it seems, they can do everything BUT work..

I agree with the poster who found it ironic that Pittsfield politics passed a trans resolution defending the LBGTQX community due to Dan Ford’s framing of Bernard Baran around 40 years ago.
As was reported by the news media and blogs, in the mid-1980’s Prosecutors Dan Ford and Gerry Downing withheld exculpatory evidence in the form of audio tape recordings of young children who said that Bernard Baran was innocent for over 2 decades until then Berkshire County District Attorney David Capeless released them to the Massachusetts State Appeals Court that led to Bernard Baran’s exoneration after spending over 20 years in Massachusetts State Prison whereby he was raped 4 times and beaten up more times. Bernie Baran passed away over one decade ago at the age of 49, which is the same age that I – Jon Melle – am now. Gerry Downing passed away in his mid-50’s in 2004.
This brings me back to the city’s trans resolution in the Trump ICE age of constitutional crises. On the outside, Pittsfield politics sells itself as a warm and welcoming refuge from the far right MAGA politics of retribution, but I believe that Pittsfield is NOT the same place on the inside.
