PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, THE WEEKEND EDITION MARCH 21-3, 2025) — Congratulation, folks. You made it through another New England winter. And on these early days of spring, allow THE PLANET to comment on a recent Sight of the Loons in Bitchfield’s Park Square.

We refer to the recent Loon Landing to protest a request by mayor Pete Marchetti to keep the bums and beggars off of the city’s medium strips. Of course, this common sense measure, done in the name of public safety, met with disfavor among the do-gooders, bleeding hearts, and other budinskys.

THE PLANET dubs it Rally for the Riff Raff.

Look, Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski have enough on their plate without being harried for handouts at busy city intersections, especially Allendale, East Street near the library, West and Center streets, South Street, Park Square, and others.  The “gimme groups” are a public safety hazard. Simple as that. THE PLANET urges the city council to approve the mayor’s initiative.

Let us know what you think, because THE PLANET is turning the talking stick over to you. We are the last bastion of truly free speech in Berkshire County, and we invite you to bring up concerns and issues that are important to you.

Have a great weekend, everybody.

Hell blogger Dan Valenti,

What is worse: The panhandlers begging for pocket change or the 2-Pete’s Pittsfield politics spending spree?

Is Pittsfield City Hall “a functioning democracy” or “a system of retribution”?

Why is the blog named Planet Valenti the last space for FREE SPEECH in the beautiful Berkshires?

How many taxpayers’ dollars are we spending on Trump’s ICE age of incarceration and deportations?

Why is the Trump/Musk administration terminating the federal employment of thousands of Veterans?

I heard that the Trump/Musk DOGE has saved somewhere around 1 day out of the year worth of federal spending, but they allegedly broke many federal laws to do so. How much money will taxpayers’ have to spend on would-be federal court cases?

Trump’s would-be 2025 $4.5-trillion federal tax cut proposal over a period of one-decade would increase the huge U.S. national debt by trillions of additional dollars. When will the Republican Party stop their a little less than 45 years of federal tax cuts, deficit spending, and pseudo-economics?

Who elected Elon Musk the co-President of the U.S.A.?

When will Governor Maura Healey announce her 2028 campaign for U.S. President so that I may support and vote for her?

Will Governor Maura Healey have a positive political platform instead of the same old Democrat’s failed anti-Trump HOT AIR?

Tell her this:

“Trump was meeting with Trudeau, “and Trudeau basically says that if the U.S. imposes tariffs on Canada, Canada couldn’t survive as a nation-state, at which point the president said, ‘Well, then you should become a state.’ And that’s where this began,”

It was Trudeau’s Bud Light moment. It may never go away.

It’s the same do-gooders who champion DL’s, free housing, healthcare, and a taxpayer paid existence, for illegal aliens.

The democRAT mantra, NIMBY: not even the MA state illegal aliens Rep. Tricia Farley-Country Buffet (d-illegal aliens), wants those unvetted criminals in her neighborhood or home. Can’t blame her though.

**If you can, open the link and look at the unemployed bum, with diabetes, who complains he has to beg for money to “pay rent.” I believe it’s the second picture of the group.

If I were doing this story, I would have let him give his sob story and then asked him a few follow-up questions:

*You can’t pay rent, but you have a decent (not cheap) electric scooter.
*You can’t pay rent, but you have a nice helmet to go with your electric scooter.
*You can’t pay rent, but you have a cellphone with an active plan currently.
*You can’t pay rent, but from looking at the two of you, I’d say you don’t miss many meals.
*You have diabetes, so why are you on a scooter and not walking?
*What level of education do you have?
*Where did you last attend school (name of school, if remembered)?

*One last question, Did the “Dancin’ Dean” (aka-Lady’z Man, Lavante Wiggins), teach you about financial management? Or maybe a dance move or two?

Follow-up questions like this would take the “sting” away of these two not being able to “pay rent.” You can pay for all that other $hit, but you can’t pay for the place that provides a roof over your head?

I’m sure Lumpy Marchetti and Wimpy White, could find a few dollars to have these two, and others like them, to clean up the city. Weeds need manually pulling. Graffiti needs scrubbing. The $hitters at the park need cleaning. Benches need painting. Hornet nests need plucking down.

I would certainly agree that those two could eliminate the city’s racist DEI Department and move 20% of those funds to pay for the above. I’d vote for it in a heartbeat.

Win/win for all. Bums out of the medians. City looks more presentable to outsiders. And unqualified racists will be out of a job. Let’s see how that non-PhD “ethnic studies” degree pans out in the real world.

It makes you wonder how much money Tricia Farley-Country Buffet (d-illegal aliens), loses with each illegal alien deported.

TFCB was helping to get illegal aliens DL’s here in MA, so they could go set up shop in swing states with a “valid MA DL.”

There’s a reason MA politicians FEAR an audit. Not just state level. Those fraudulent (money) schemes on both federal and state levels, more than likely lead back to the Martha’s Vineyard area.

Not to mention I’m sure a few MA politicians have their grubby paws in the law-fare against Trump, we all witnessed.

Assign a cop to every mooch in the city, for “they”thems” safety, of course, until they move along. When the set up shop elsewhere, the cop is right there again, side by side, to protect their lazy asses. Lather, rinse, repeat. And don’t say we can’t afford it, with all the money this city pisses away. Pay them overtime if necessary. Use the money saved from getting rid of the shitspotter and the DEI BS. Thats about a million pissed away right there, so far.

If everyone gave me $1, then I would have a lot of money.

If I were a top earner as a greedy registered lobbyist on Beacon Hill’s corrupt Statehouse in Boston, then I would report an annual income of over 7-figures.

If I owned a top K Street corporate lobbyist firm in the Swamp, then I would earn tens of millions of dollars per year.

If I had the wealth of Willard Mitt Romney or Nancy Pelosi, I would be worth well over $100 million-plus.

If I were a billionaire, then I would make millions of dollars everyday like Elon Musk, who uses his net income to bankroll Donald Trump.

But I am a Have NOT named Jon Melle, so I make around $160 per day like most common people in the U.S.A.

I spend a lot of my money on my Emotional Support Animal (ESA) old dog named Chocolate, who will turn 17 years old this upcoming Summer 2025, but he is worth every penny, of course.

There are 31,000 registered voters in Pittsfield, and they are in favor of the Ordinance. Also agree , with other posters, stop giving them money. Hello blogger Dan Valenti,

Instructions on how to legally panhandle in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

1. File a pot permits lawsuit versus the City of Pittsfield in 2023, along with purchasing oneself a $950,000 mansion in Pittsfield’s elitist Gated Community neighborhood west of Berkshire Community College in 2023, and donate $1,000.00 to Peter Marchetti’s campaign for Mayor of Pittsfield in 2023, all of which is the public record of Berkshire Roots co-founder and Attorney Andrea F. Nuciforo, Jr., who is a disgraced former Pittsfield State Senator.

2. Wait until 2024 for Mayor Peter Marchetti to settle the pot permits lawsuits versus the City of Pittsfield. Then agree to the 2-Pete’s Pittsfield politics giving a FREE CASH-funded city check to Pittsfield’s marijuana millionaire Andrea Francesco Nuciforo Junior in the amount of $341,000.00.

3. Watch the 2-Pete’s Pittsfield politics increase city property taxes by an average of over 7-percent, along with increasing city fees by 8-percent for fiscal year 2025 (July 01, 2024 – June 30, 2025). Know that the average fictional Kapanski family homeowner in Pittsfield pays City Hall somewhere around $6,300.00 per fiscal year, which took around 55 Kapanski homeowners to pay for Nuciforo’s pot permits settlement check from City Hall.

4. Listen to the 2-Pete’s Pittsfield politics tell city taxpayers that there will be no room to cut expenses in the would-be proposed fiscal year 2026 city budget, which I predict may increase city spending by 8 percent starting on July 01, 2025 and ending on June 30, 2026. Know that the average city taxpayer will have to pay City Hall somewhere around $6,800 per homeowner in fiscal year 2026 (July 01, 2025 – June 30, 2026).

5. Read about Mayor Peter Marchetti’s proposed city ordinance to allow people and city officials to legally harass panhandlers who live in poverty in Pittsfield. Then listen to Mayor Peter Marchetti say that the intense criticism aimed at him is NOT a fair portrayal of his efforts as Mayor of Pittsfield.

What is WRONG with this picture?

The 2 Pete’ are liars. ReStore had to close so they could clean up all the garbage dumped on their property on Hubbard Avenue. Walmart had to remove 20 trash cans in their parking lot because people were dumping their garbage in them, Their garbage collection had doubled since the toters were activated. Take a look at the furniture dumped all over Pittsfield. Once again the 2 Pete’s are wearing their rose colored Pittsfield glasses.

Garbage everywhere and fines won’t stop it. People don’t want to pay to dump in this climate. Even those that don’t pay taxes. Potholes are everywhere, they’re an enigma.

Where is the ward six councilor? Roads are awful. And what the hell, they’re tearing up property at Churchill and Cascade for development. If those aren’t wetlands then I don’t know what are. New Yorkers need a place near Winadu I suppose.

Signs are not solutions.
I believe it was Sir Chaz who said here a little while ago that we don’t need more safety nets nets are a trap what we need is a springboard.
This proposed median ordinance is our opportunity to offer a springboard because here’s the thing first of all panhandling is the symptom not the problem and here’s the other thing people ask for what they need.
People need money especially now when we don’t know how expensive things are going to get just that they do get more expensive every day right now so this is our opportunity to point out to our city council that Washington under Trump has given us two effective models that our mayor and city council could adapt at the local level as springboards.
During his first administration Trump showed us that this country can get cash to every single American quickly and repeatedly so that gives us the model for universal basic income yeah go grab your pearls and clutch at them for a minute but somebody else suggested in the comments here shifting money from dei to paying the panhandlers for doing work that needs to be done that’s a good solution.
The other model Washington is giving us right now is to dismantle the programs that are not working.
Here in Pittsfield we have multiple alphabet soup housing agencies none of whom are getting the job done because if they were able to effectively help our homeless friends and neighbors they would not be choosing to live outside. We need to defund all these upside 413s and shift that wealth to our current homeless people whether it’s through doing a CETA style jobs training approach and offering folks a livable stipend and housing while they train or something very similar to that.
Unfortunately I think these ideas are just too radical for CC, so instead what we get from our mayor and current council are things like adding co-responders.
Everybody’s making money off of our homeless except the people who need that cash the most which is the homeless because poverty is a cash flow problem based on systemic failures like all these housing agencies in Pittsfield that don’t actually get people housed
So instead what we get is our mayor not understanding that correlation is not causation and saying that drugs and mental illness are the causes of poverty in Pittsfield and then, and listen I like Marchetti —I think he’s the toughest MF in the room simply because after Bernie Baran he chose to stay in Pittsfield and enter politics and be visible. That’s one tough sumbitch right there but for him to say these things are the cause of poverty rather than symptoms of it or in the case of mental illness aggravated by it and then to say our poor malnourished panhandlers are with their bodies physically blocking the traffic signs which by law have to be at a height of 7 ft, well that one has me stymied and utterly embarrassed for us.
Does he really believe we’re going to believe that we have these freakishly tall panhandlers and we just never noticed that before?
So there are solutions here, we do have the models for solutions and nobody’s going to want to do them because they are radical and that word radical scares people away.

Isn’t that interesting that the mayor is using the City Council to do his dirty work for him. Under the name of public safety using the city council to pass an ordinance. The courts say no, but if find a way to end run the constitution they will all look like heroes of course.

Panhandling is already addressed in city ordinances. This latest thing is just more fake business.
