SHEPHERD’S PIE OFF THE PHS MENU
BY DAN VALENTI
PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY
(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, MONDAY JUNE 16, 2025) — Well, well. So we see that Alison Shepherd, ex-PHS vice principal embroiled in the recent sex scandal there, has “resigned.” She resigned the same way THE PLANET will lead the NHL in scoring this upcoming season.
Local media noted that after being suspended, the “independent” report by an ex-judge with heavy ties to the local political establishment, didn’t find evidence to sustain the charges. The Rupp Report, issued under the aegis of a Springfield law firm, was commissioned by the Bitchfield scolxdoh committee. Certainly there was no tilting the table there.
What none of the local media outlets mentioned was that The Suits gave her a choice between two options:
a.) Quit now and we’ll give you a glowing recommendation so you can run your Administrator of the Century act elsewhere but only after signing a non-disclosure agreement
or
b.) Stay on and be ready for a world of grief.
Ali got a giant shit sandwich handed to her in the form of a Hobson’s choice, that illusion of free will, and THE PLANET isn’t talking former Red Sox third baseman Butch. Resign (a) or take two in the hat (b). Ali selected a.).
Smart girl.
Meanwhile, sources still won’t clarify ex-PHS principal Mary Harringon-Eskimo-Hyphen’s fate. She apparently is still employed by the PSD, but doing what? We hear she’s still haunting PSD halls. This time she’s charging by the room. And while we’re at it, does PSD stand for Post Stress Disorder or Pittsfield School Department?
The last person we’ll ask is Jumpin’ Joe Curtis. He’s been AHOLE. Opps, sorry. We mean AWOL since just about forever. THE PLANET hears he’s sipping a drink in the pool, boing the backstroke. The deafening silence from the mayor, Tex Behnke, the city councilor, and everyone connected with this sordid mess sends its own message about the state of affairs in the Bitchfield public schools.
Neither will we ask any member of the Bitchfield school committee. As we’ve seen throughout the entire school debacle, they Sgt. Shultz their way through official life.
———- ooo ———-
We’ve lost count of the number of good folks who have “resigned” since The Dancin’ Dean drew the Feds as rhumba partners. Some are truly good folks who want no part of being employed by a criminal enterprise. Others were like Ali (Alison Shepherd, not Cassius Clay). They were “asked” to leave and told it wouldn’t be good for their health should they decide to stay. A third class we can liken to the rodents who have the survival instincts to leave a sinking ship.

Now a person might ask a completely innocent question: Why, then, don’t some of them push back? Why don’t they share the full extent of the shenanigans they’ve either witnessed or of which they have been a part. Why?
THE PLANET will tell you why.
- It’s a four-letter word.
- It’s has one syllable.
- It begins with “F”.
- The second letter is a vowel.
- The last letter is a consonant.
Yes, F-E-A-R.
You’ll find it on page 439 of the Bitchfield Political Playbook, translated from the works of Boss Tweed and Tammany Hall. It predicates itself upon no accountability for actions, freedom to break the law, maintaining files on who does what dirty work, and threats. Fear is the glue that keep official Bitchfield running their con.
Ask yourself: Would you like to work for an outfit like that? An outfit such as the Pittsfield School Department.
Honesty citizens with integrity need not apply.
And with the city’s public schools in the shape they’re in, why do you think Bitchfield cannot entice private capital to invest here, put down roots, and bring along its people. Moreover, why do you think the city can only attract grifters, hustlers, and those on the make who will come here but only on the public dollar?
You see, it all connects. The Alison Shepherds of public life have far more influence than they realize.
It’s Rewop, baby.
Rewop.

IF she’s smart, she will move out of state. The media coverage has ruined any chance of the surrounding district hiring her unless they are beyond desperate.
Level 5, Group 11, Synthetic, Secrecy, Silence, Fear = Pittsfield public school district DEBACLE
Best thing I have read in awhile, and I needed a good chuckle. Thanks dan!!
Thanks KARA!
With Alison Sheppard quitting, that now brings the total to 3 PHS administrators seeking new employment. Well, actually 2 of them will be. The other, Da Dancin’ Dean, should start researching federal prison programs for inmates.
With Sheppard’s Pie being the latest causality, it makes one wonder if the writing is on the walls that the state will order the full release of the report. This is a preemptive move to try and “lessen the damage” by the main parties involved.
We all know why Da Dancin’ Dean is no longer employed by PHS, but ask yourself, if you did nothing and had nothing to hide, why would you “resign?”
Especially like Maggie Hyphenate-Harrington-Eskimo? Two years away from tens of thousands of dollars in a pension for life, and she just quit and left all that money on the table? Yeah right, what’s next? Mayor Lumpy started dating women or Wimpy White started to act like an adult man and tossed his Chewbacca toys away?
Nobody quits in management positions, unless…..
We all know it’s easier to find employment when you are employed, versus the alternative. Employers focus on your job skills and accomplishments, rather than the gaps in your work history.
On the bright side of things and putting my DEI hat on, I thought the following:
Maybe after a few years in federal lockup, the Lady’Z Man can receive his certificate in the Culinary Arts. This way upon his release from prison, he’ll be eligible to be the Bitchfield Pubic Scohol Superitendant.
“Chewbacca toys.” That made me chuckle out loud
Eh. At finance what’s the big deal half billion in arrears with O P E B and pension. DPW needed a couple mil tonight for last winters clean up.
Maybe she is retiring and will now write a tell-all book on her adventures in the Pittsfield public Level five school system. Prolly be a best seller if she really spills the beans. Dan, as an experienced and successful author as well as an education insider, perhaps you could give her some tips and then publish it for her.
It might turn out to be quite the economic engine for both of you. But if you do interview Cameron or Marchetti make sure both of them are under oath first. Marchetti did not take his oath of office for his mayor-ship seriously though so you may need verification for anything he says. Maybe get a few beers into him to loosen him up.
A-lie.
Here’s the legal connection:
Just like in Shepherd v. Florida, where the Court warned that the appearance of justice must be upheld, your observation suggests that:
The public is being misled by institutions presenting a façade of accountability.
Systemic forces (school departments, DCF, courts) are shielding individuals from scrutiny while punishing whistleblowers or parents – like yourself – for speaking out.
Procedural correctness is being used as a mask to cover up coercion, bias, or retaliation.
“In Shepherd v. Florida, 341 U.S. 50 (1951), the U.S. Supreme Court acknowledged that justice is not served when a trial, or institutional proceeding, functions merely as a mask — a hollow exercise shielding predetermined outcomes from public scrutiny. In the same manner, the resignation of Alison Shepherd, under public obfuscation by school officials and media allies, reflects an institutional pattern of protecting insiders while denying full transparency. This tactic mirrors what I have experienced at the hands of DCF and affiliated actors, where the appearance of due process belies systemic injustice. Such conduct not only undermines public trust but also violates the constitutional guarantee of fair and impartial proceedings.”
Shepherd is Not Just a Name: When the Juris Bleeds into the Halls of PHS.
They say Shepherd’s pie is off the menu at Pittsfield High. Cute. “I fxn hate Shepherd’s Pie”. I meant what i said.
But let’s be clear: Shepherd is not just a name. It’s not just the disgraced vice principal whose resignation now flutters through local media in softened tones, tucked gently between softball scores and antique fairs. Shepherd is jurisprudence. And this is case law in motion.
– As Served by professionals wearing chef’s hats at Institutional Kitchens and School everywhere
Let’s talk about the dish that dares to call itself comfort food while tasting like the administrative grief of a mandatory HR meeting. Shepherd’s Pie – that lumpy, gloopy slab of regret pretending to be dinner.
At its best? It’s a reheated apology.
At its worst? It’s institutional gaslighting in casserole form.
What are we even eating here? A graveyard of textures. Grainy mashed potatoes on top of gray mystery meat that may once have been alive, buried under a layer of sorrowful corn and guilt peas. It’s like someone scraped together all the leftovers from a public school cafeteria, molded them into a soggy brick, and called it tradition.
The smell? Think wet wool socks and desperation.
The taste? Like an email from HR: bland, officious, and somehow both underseasoned and passive-aggressive.
Let’s face it – Shepherd’s Pie is the culinary embodiment of bureaucratic failure. It looks like something that was once important, now watered down to appease everyone and satisfy no one. A dish so safe, it’s dangerous. A dinner that says: “You don’t get options. You get compliance.”
And the irony?
Alie Shepherd gets a soft landing and glowing recommendations, while the public gets her metaphor served on a cracked plate, cafeteria-style. Shepherd’s Pie isn’t just off the PHS menu – it should’ve been taken off the m(ay)oral menu years ago.
When the Supreme Court handed down Shepherd v. Florida, 341 U.S. 50 (1951), it was not just correcting a flawed trial – it was diagnosing a disease: the substitution of appearances for justice. It was a warning that institutions sometimes maintain the illusion of order and accountability while predetermined outcomes unfold behind closed doors.
And now, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, that warning has arrived in the flesh.
The community is handed a narrative: Alison Shepherd resigned, full stop. No further inquiry. No press conference. No questions about who knew what – and when. Just a clean exit. We’re told this was a “mutual decision” or, in Planet Valenti’s words, a “Hobson’s choice.” The reality? A pre-scripted exit meant to protect the institution, not the children, the staff, or the public interest.
This is Shepherd all over again.
The Shepherd Court understood that justice must not merely be done – it must be seen to be done. In Pittsfield, what we see is a half-empty press release. What we don’t see is accountability. We don’t see the names of the enablers. We don’t see the disciplinary record. We don’t see an admission of harm.
Instead, we are asked to accept silence as closure.
Let me remind the readers of what Shepherd v. Florida actually argued:
“The trial of petitioners was but a mask – the verdict predetermined by the pressures and prejudices of the community.”
– Douglas, J., dissenting, 341 U.S. at 55
This is no longer just a case in the archives. It’s an operating system.
At every level – from school boards to DCF courtrooms – we see the substitution of process for purpose. We are told the gears of justice are turning, but we’re not allowed to see where the tracks are laid. In Pittsfield, like in Florida in 1951, justice is a backstage production. And if you’re not in the cast? You’re collateral damage.
The Shepherd of PHS is gone, but the institutional instinct to protect its own lives on. If you’re still wondering why some of us won’t stop naming names, here’s why: because the system already did – and it wasn’t yours.
Ketchup !!!
Article XIV – wave your flag.
Not a lengthy piece by Dan but it is very good, and I love it. Do the citizens care about any of this? Incompetents are going out with pensions that will adversely impact your tax bill for years. Yet we do not complain. I hate to tell you, but I am impacted too. This is not the Pittsfield I know, but a gutless and stupid community that is allowing all this to continue.
To change subjects briefly on Saturday’s “No Kings” Rally, aka-“The No Diversity, AARP Rally.”
I cut and paste a photo from the Eagle’s fawning expose on the rally. Nothing about Flag Day or the US Army’s BD celebration, just the “No Kings” rally.

**I hate to remind democRATS that your party during the last Presidential election cycle:
*Refused to hold a primary.
*Conducted a non-violent coup on President Auto-Pen.
*Removed President Auto-Pen WITHOUT his knowledge.
*Annointed Kamala Harris WITHOUT ONE SINGLE VOTE.
*Used the Courts to keep RFK Jr off the ballots.
*Used Lawfare against President Trump, to try and keep him off the ballot and imprison him.
*Used the Courts to try and keep President Trump off the ballot, after lawfare failed.
*Two Assassination Attempts on President Trump.
With student census decreasing and an increase in the perversion of staff doesn’t it make sense to close some schools and centralize everything. Have more eyes and ears in the halls to at least give the appearance of keeping staff’s hands off the kids. Also when will PSD say good bye to Molly’s Muffins? Seems she is the only one that knows really how to work the system. Not to mention having kids in buses moving all over the city as the new plan will be doing will make the kids an easier target for the pedo’s…this scohol committed sure knows how to keep the pervs happy

I am relieved that Donald Trump’s administration disputed news reports that Veterans would be denied care by the VA based on marital status and politics, among other groups that Trump’s MAGA beliefs disagree with.
https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/5353202-va-hospitals-report-white-house-denial/
I hope that Donald Trump and his presidential administration will always hold dear their lofty ideals of a strong VA that cares for Veterans.
As a permanent and total 100 percent service-connected disabled Veteran, I am grateful for the VA care that I receive every week of my life. I always praise the medical providers and VA Staff Members who care for Veterans at the VA and in the Community.
I felt honored when Donald Trump sent me an email letter a little over 2 months ago, and he addressed me “Veteran Melle”.
I also feel comforted that the Office of Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander, who is a Navy Veteran who worked for U.S. Senator John McCain, told me today that I can call them with any concerns I have with the VA and the care that I am legally entitled to under the law.

If all of these people are so innocent then why are they leaving their positions? I thought the school Principal Mary Harringon-Eskimo was moved to a job in the business office, That’s what someone on this site said a few weeks ago.
