PLANET ENDORSES CIARA BATORY FOR SCHOOL COMMITTEE … plus … OTHER OBSERVATIONS

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE MONDAY OCT. 13, 2025) — With local “elections” on the brink, THE PLANET can give one piece of advice: Don’t vote. Refuse to participate in a hoax. If you don’t like that counsel, try this one: If you do vote, choose a newbie. The only hope, albeit slight, is in names that are new to public office.

ENDORSEMENT: With that said, we issue our one and only endorsement. THE PLANET backs Ciara Batory for school committee. Her courageous performance in her unilateral challenge to the recent PHS scandal proved her mettle. She cares, which is more than we can say for the status quo. Batory didn’t back down then, and she won’t do so if she wins a seat on the board. Of course, she terrifies The Suits, and they will try everything to see that it doesn’t happen–all the more reason for you to place your pen next to CIARA BATORY FOR SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

HEALEY SECRECY: Nice that spendthrift Gov. Maura Healey has jumped on a technicality to hide how much the state is coughing up in FY2006 to house illegals and other grifters. Seems that a law to mandate such accounting was allowed to expire (your State Legislature at work!). No longer will taxpayers know much much dough is being spent on shelter costs for chiselers. IN FY2025, Healey picked Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski’s pockets to the tune of $978.2 million. THE PLANET will tell you who needs “emergency assistance,” and that’s the Kapanskis.

WHAT SHUTDOWN?: Another week of the federal government’s shutdown, and ask yourself. Have you even noticed? You have if you’re a federal worker, but other than that? At least the President is thinking of the country’s soldiers. Trump ordered Secretary of War Pete Hesgeth to move “all of the department’s available funds” to “PAY OUR TROOPS.”

MEDIA BIAS? YOU THINK?: It’s interesting. When the House Oversight Committee held hearings on how the Biden-Harris White House covered up Biden’s growing vegetative state, CNN and MSNBC didn’t devote two seconds of coverage to it. However, the networks plastered screens with coverage of hardcore Senate Democrats grilling AG Pam Bondi. And PBS, a party organ for Democrats, blared screaming headlines and heads-on-fire stories. The Washington Post, NY Times, and the local Boring Broadsheet followed suit. It’s a joke, sure, but common sense isn’t laughing.

LET’s MAKE A DEAL: The entire U.S.-China trade war can be boiled down to one compound adjective and one word: “rare-earth minerals.” Just about every piece of technological hardware depends on these materials for manufacture, and just so happens that China has the dominant supply. President Trump responded with the threat of adding a 100% on Chinese imports by Nov. 1. Markets tanked as a consequence. THE PLANET predicts that Trump is using the threat as a big-stick negotiating strategy. Later this month, we will see Trump and Xi Jin Ping working out a deal on the sidelines at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.

In Peter Arlos” last terms, Pittsfield politics had a financial meltdown, among other controversies. No one was effective in the Pitts around 25 years ago, but we still have Shoegum sticking around City Hall in 2025.

Spot on assessment. We could have 3 Pete Arlos’s on the Council, looking out for the Taxpayers. It wouldn’t matter, they would be out voted every time. Sad. RIP Shittsfield.

Mr. Fritz,

Could you tell remind me what Trump’s 2nd Veep once called him, please?

If I remember correctly, J.D. Vance once called Donald Trump: AMERICA’s HITLER!

Did Trump take it as a compliment or something else?

TSC, do you honestly think if President Trump was truly on the Epstein List, the Autopen Administration would have already putted Trump and charged him with “another felony crime?”

Or has MSDNC not spoon fed that to you?

Did Pelosi staging J6 with the FIB (274 planted agents in crowd-no FIB (ARMED) Agents tried to stop the “insurrection,”ANTIFA changing into MAGA gear and “blending in,”RINO’s (Deep State), and the DNC, slip your mind?

I know it’s not TDS, but please explain J6 with those now known facts, if you can?

Coherently, if it’s not asking too much?

So as not to obfuscate like a Leftist, let’s stay on the Sex Slave Island client topic and discuss that.

I still think you and CC President Pete White should team up and beat your cousin Mayor Peter Marchetti. You could lean on the veteran community with your naval experience as a galley cook. Plus you two have catchy names for political slogans. For Pete you could use quit beating your meat and vote for Pete. And for you Jonny you could use just remember the guy named Melle has a much smaller belly and show a picture of Peter’s big belly swallowing tax money and pizzas. Any word on Wheelies for Healey with you and Pete White?

Sara H says Pittsfield school absenteeism might be due to kids not having clean clothes. Will her next petition be for taxpayers to buy clothes for all the poor kids who have nice cell phones but also dirty clothes?

I kinda used to like this woman but some of her excuses for school department failures are really desperate. But I would agree that they do need a professional apologist because Pittsfield schools seem to be plummeting in the ratings.

Dan did you read the article last week about the unbelievable numbers of absentees in Pittsfield schools? Seems like the taxpayers should be getting huge deductions if there are that many kids not in school each day. Freaking ridiculous.

But maybe it works out OK if there are not enough teachers left to teach them anyway. New super must be already regretting her choice and looking for openings in another sector. Know I would be.

Seems to have gotten much worse since the conjoined Petes told the reins.

“A washing machine in every classroom.”

Taxpayers will not only be on the hook for the costs of the washing machines in the next school budget, but also for paid laundry attendant’s to wash and fold the clothes for the kids. Kids today are to lazy do it and probably don’t know how to operate them.

Oh, forgot! They will need dryer’s also.

They need to start penalizing parents. Fine them. Hold them accountable. Schools went from educating kids academically to a social work clinic that passably teaches core subjects

I think parents, having witnessed the disturbed teaching happening before them in Covids remote classrooms are well justified in keeping their kids out those classrooms.

The “Synthetic Doctor Bill” said that the full, detailed report can be provided to anyone of interest, BUT it is NOT the legal report that cost city taxpayers $156,000 that is hidden from the general public.

Even Sara Shoegum praised the new report, which means that it is a bureaucratic masterpiece that will cost additional taxpayer dollars for the Level 5, Group 11 Pittsfield School District’s already bloated budget.

Isn’t it adorable that Pete White finally has a girlfriend and wouldn’t you know, she’s from Adams? Suddenly, his social media is overflowing with his newfound “connection” to the town. And now, like clockwork, he’s gunning for the Town Administrator position there.

The Eagle even notes he’s willing to sacrifice his role as Pittsfield City Council President to get it. It’s starting to look like Pete’s eyes and ambitions are wandering north. Pittsfield politics don’t seem to be his top priority anymore; Adams might just be the fresh start he’s been angling for.

From the B.E. today:
Adams has named three finalists in its search for a new town administrator

ADAMS — The field of candidates for town administrator has been narrowed to three finalists, who will be interviewed by the Select Board later this month.
Two of the three are currently running for public office — one in Amherst and one in Pittsfield — and the third is a former Pittsfield city councilor.
Pete White, who currently is president of the Pittsfield City Council, has served for 12 years on the council and is running for reelection on Nov. 4.

Dillon Maxfield is running for his first time as a candidate for Amherst District 4 town councilor.

Nicholas Caccamo gave up his position as a Pittsfield city councilor in 2021 to take his current job as town administrator of the Hampshire County town of Williamsburg.

The town is searching for a successor to Jay Green, who left in late 2024 to take a job as Lenox town administrator. Kenneth Walto served as interim town administrator until September; Adams Free Library Director Holli Jayko is now serving on an interim basis.

Adams hired Richard White, principal of Giroux White Consulting, to conduct the initial search for a permanent town administrator. White received more than 20 resumes and whittled the list down to about 15. The salary range was advertised at $125,000 to $150,000.
Jonathan Butler, chair of the screening committee, said the committee offered interviews to six candidates. Five accepted interviews.

“The screening committee reached consensus on those three,” Butler said. “Hopefully [the Select Board] will land on a candidate that will help the town continue forward.”

The board will conduct interviews Oct. 25 at Town Hall starting at 8 a.m.
Adams has oversight of the Greylock Glen Outdoor Center and the associated master plan for the Greylock Glen, which is state-owned land. All three candidates spoke highly of their appreciation for Adams, its natural beauty and its potential for redevelopment downtown.

White, 47, is a career business relations specialist with MassAbility. He said he would not seek reelection as council president or vice president if he is selected for the Adams post.
“My preference would be, if I could, to continue serving on the City Council,” White told The Eagle on Monday. “If chosen, I am looking to make the commitment that Adams needs, and I’d be open to a negotiation with the [Select Board].”

Caccamo, 39, said he is ready for a move to a larger town.
“I am looking to grow in the field in administration, town management,” he said. “These opportunities don’t come often.”

Maxfield, 35, has been the chair of the Amherst License Commission and was formerly in information technology.
“I would say, if elected and hired a town administrator, I think people would understand that I would be a one-term councilor here in
Amherst,” he said.

Voltron Pete White, our City Council President is in the running to be the next Town Manager in Adams, Massachusetts. I believe if he gets the position he can no longer be on the Pittsfield Council. So if he does get the new job does that mean that Pittsfield will have to hold a special election or does the next runner up in November move into the position? As far as I am concerned Adams can have him.

He served on the Pittsfield City Council, and is the sitting Council President who is too close to the other Pete, who is the worst Mayor ever.

He ran for Pittsfield State Representative in 2011, but was defeated by Tricia Country Buffet, who has done nothing in Boston over the past 14 years, but she said that legalizing sex workers in Massachusetts is her number one priority.

He hopes to be the next Town Administrator in Adams, Massachusetts.

He thinks that he is wonderful, while blogger Dan Valenti and his readers on social media and blogs are not as great as he is in Pittsfield politics, which means that when he adds 2 + 2, it equals FIVE.

He wears a Voltron head-piece, loves to eat at local restaurants, and is called “Pete the Porkchop”.

Perhaps he has inside info on just how bad Pittsfield is collapsing and is desperate for any way out, even if it is a job he is nowhere near qualified for. Surprised Marchetti did not apply. Pittsfield at this point is not even fixable no matter how much he raises taxes.

Word around the Senior Center is that Pete has himself a girlfriend.
She is a lifelong Adams resident owns her home, has a child, and deep roots in town. And suddenly, Pete’s social media reads like a love letter to Adams.

It seems the City Council President may be getting ready to pivot from Pittsfield politics to Adams living for a little good old fashioned romance.

Layoffs are happening across the entire country — in every industry and every community. Even the medical field is feeling the impact, with hospitals, clinics, and care facilities facing cuts, closures, and overwhelming financial strain. Businesses everywhere are struggling under the weight of debt, rising costs, and policies that make it harder to stay afloat.

These outcomes didn’t appear out of nowhere — they’re the result of choices and policies many supported, often without realizing how deeply they would affect our own communities. Now, we’re all seeing the consequences firsthand.

I have not met this young woman, but from what I have seen, she appears to play the game straight down the middle. She seems more independent than right or left, and I can appreciate that. She has earned genuine support from many residents for her passion and commitment to children.

I believe she has already secured her seat, but I do worry she will be silenced or pushed out once she challenges the established order. I hope she has the strength to stand up to the good old boys and fight the corruption that runs deep. But if she thinks she can fix it from the inside, she is in for a hard lesson. It is far too rotten within.
