On Monday’s column, we offered a hand-up to the Sad Sack mayor of Bitchfield.
Nothing.
You know what we like to say: When the phone doesn’t ring, we know it’s Lumpy not getting back to us.
The hand is still there, and so is the heart. THE PLANET never gives up on anyone. The milk of human kindness never curdles at The Fortress. When we see a person stuck in the crooning gears of bad politics, conscience bids us to make the attempt. We have played Neptune and tamed sea horses. We have donned Santa suits and given gifts. In short, the impossible doesn’t daunt us. It merely takes more time.

Ole’: Mayor Lumpy and friend.
We tried to point out to our Right Honorable Good Friend the mayor that he has been given a rare opportunity in the upcoming court action involving Victoria May. Lumpy’s like George Bailey. Clarence the Angel let George see what would have happened if he had never been born. Likewise, THE PLANET has shown Lumpy to see what his life is like BECAUSE he was born. it isn’t pretty.
In May (2026) with May (Victoria), Lumpy has the chance to see himself as he really is and not as his Lords and Masters have tempted him into pretending he is, but when the very Self is at stake, people are capable of remarkable feats. It’s like the proverbial mother who sees her child caught underneath a car and singlehandedly lifts the car to free the kid.
Speaking of suck-ups, have you seen city council president Pete White lately? Voltron the Pork Chop keeps putting on the pounds. His face has flattened into the shape of a Junior Mint. Is why he’s trying desperately to get out of Bitchfield, for example, applying for the town manager’s position in Adams.
The Suits are getting mighty impatient with Lumpy and Voltron, who keep bringing negative publicity to Bitchfieldand have made of city government a laughing stock.

Can you guess what Fortune 500 company (in tech) was seriously checking out Bitchfield as a possible site for an upcoming expansion but pulled out?
A source involved in the discussions cited several factors in the firm’s decision to withdraw:
- The School Department scandal.
- Continued upset and turmoil in the school administration.
- The city’s worrisome debt position and finances.
- “Lack of inertia” in the downtown area.
- Workforce issues.
- A general seediness.
In the aftermath, within certain private meeting rooms, voices were raised and threats issued. Is that when and why The Two Petes began to get uncharacteristically nervous? THE PLANET doesn’t know, but it’s a reasonable supposition.
Two Petes might just as well borrow Peter Fonda’s pronouncement to Dennis Hopper at the end of Easy Rider: “We blew it.”

Of course, The Boring Broadsheet had no clue about any of this. The wafer-thin rag thinks Lumpy and Voltron are the meow’s cat, failing to admit that as “leaders,” these two jahmokes have left The Kapanskis to grieve as this singular time’s sole patriots. For they, they get spit on by Lumpy and Voltron.
Wise guys looking at the precarious political positions of the Die-namic Duo seem to think the noose is tightening. Marchetti has been an invisible cipher lately. White has been showing signs of panic, from his trying to bail out of the city to his irregularly and indifferent showings at recent gavel wieldings.
This summer he posted on his Facebook page “I have nothing to hide …” You know what people who say “I have nothing to hide” do? Yup. THE PLANET agrees.
As always, if these two chaps wish to talk to a wise and sympathetic source, they’ve got our number …

The 2-Pete’s Pittsfield politics equals a downward spiral.
I looked it up. The illustration was one Pete with a big beer belly. The other Pete was pretending to be Voltron.

Planet, Lumpy is afraid to have a meet and greet with you because he fears you will take his lunch away from him and eat it all right in front of him while making him pick up the tab on top of it, OUCH!
Lumpy got elected without Valenti. It’s very simple. Lumpy does not want Valenti in any way of changing his course and making things better and especially simply won’t change no matter who tries to give the Lumpster advice.
While recently sitting in a very crowded doctor’s waiting room the subject came up about the terrible state of Pittsfield. Bottom line taxpayers are totally fed up with the decisions made by the Administration and the complete lack of communication from the corner office. People also feel helpless in trying to make or even suggest a plan to change the downward slide of the City. If anyone even tries to speak at a Clownsil meeting they are rudely shut down by Peter White. Could someone tell me one thing this City Clownsil has done for taxpayers. Their goal seems to be how fast they end the meeting. With all the issues in the City, not one councilor has ever brought forward anything during a Clownsil meeting. So what good is the City Clownsil. Basically the meeting is a “grandstand” show for these Councilors to feed their egos, and for Peter White to end the meeting so he can get his next meal to post.
Problem is it will never change as long as the school, police and fire unions support these losers, that especially includes the Mayor. These union members are the majority of voters, and why not vote for these losers, these unions have an open wallet and get every damn cent they ask for, especially the school department.
In my few meetings with Lumpy, being a woman I felt looked down on and the conversation ends with a sarcastic snarky answer by him. My attitude now is why even bother attempting to communicate with him.
One last comment. As a Ward 2 resident, it completely discussed me for the accolades towards Brittany Noto. She did nothing during her two years on the Council but avoid taxpayers emails and phone calls. So glad she is able to add to her resume at our cost.
I agree. Maybe the most unresponsive Ward 2 councilor in city history. Say what you want about former Ward 2 councilors (even Pete White) they were very accessible and responsive to constituent concerns. Notto ended that decades long streak. She should return her salary because she was a total Not-to-show

I was happy to receive an email letter from my awesome Congresswoman, Maggie Goodlander.
I agree with her political message that illegal orders are NOT to be followed by military and intelligence personnel. I also acknowledge that President Donald Trump himself never issued an illegal order.
The government’s use(s) of force have been called into question. In return, the Trump White House and some Republican Members of U.S. Congress have called into question my Congresswoman, Maggie Goodlander, along with the 5 other Veteran Members of U.S. Congress.
The Swamp is contradicting each other on this life and death matter. All of the information on the controversial boat strikes has not been released to the public.
I am a proud supporter of Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander, and she will always have my vote.

I gave up predicting how things will turn out in politics and sports but its 23 months till the next election. Thanks to the charter changing mayor. That should give us enough time to find a suitable `candidate to come up with a decent candidate.
I’m in the opinion it also gives the Bitchfield’s special interest groups plenty of time to come up with their preferred candidate should Lumpy sit out reelection for whatever reasons he comes up with.

Earl Persip could talk about “positive” Pittsfield politics with blogger Dan Valenti, but like the 2-Pete’s, he refuses to speak with him – Berkshire County’s best journalist who writes all about “Bitchfield”.
My thoughts on Earl Persip’s accurate view of the the misguided Maura Healey administration along with the do-nothing state lawmakers in Boston not fully funding state aid to local governments is that Pittsfield also spends an excessive amount of taxpayer dollars to the tune of tens of millions of dollars per fiscal year more than similarly sized small cities, such as Westfield. It is the WORST of both Worlds!
I feel badly for North Adams Mayor Jennifer Macksey because Pittsfield’s social problems have nothing to do with “regionalization”. I hope that she will avoid Pittsfield politics for the good of North Adams and its progress that has eluded North Street’s around 15 empty storefronts and the like in “the Pitts”.

Seems like not so long ago this guy was talking about “bad” things going on in the schools. He was “demanding” accountability. (and then he was not) While the situation that provoked his outrage was not even close to be satisfactorily resolved, he seemed to back off on the matter. Was he counseled? Was he asked to tone it down? And now that that White character is showing signs of looking for an exit ramp, and perhaps giving up his almost guaranteed future mayoral position, will Persip now be shepherded to the forefront? Is the groundwork being laid. Is his resume being gilded?:

I painfully read through that article and wondered what ever happened to follow-up questions?
Take this quote from the article that The Big Dumpster states about Latifah Phillips, “She’s realistic about the problems that we have and realistic about the timeframe to get those things done and what she wants to do.”
What problems is she addressing? Attendance? Gang Issues? Poor Performing Schools? Budget Issues? Hiring Problems? Da Dancin Dean, Lavonte Wiggins, upcoming criminal trial? Does it reach into the schools? Employees? The Alison “Sheppard’s Pie” Sheppard scandal? School Choice out of Bitchfield?
If she has a “time frame” for that problem, again, what is that problem? And beyond a timeframe, how is the issue being addressed?
The lack of answers The Big Dumpster gave, except when Wahconah Park was brought up, tells me, TBD is going to make a move on Mayor Lumpy next election season.
Lumpy will bows out for “family issues,” or “heath reasons.” Especially if his case goes to trial. This is federal court. Lumpy can’t hide from questioning. His hatred of women will be on full display. He knows it and The Big Dumpster knows it.
The Pittsfield Police Department better send out a PSA during election season. Warning all the bums who sleep in dumpsters on NON, that they could be injured by Mayor Lumpy signs that seem to be “raining down out of the sky,” as it crashes into the face of the bum sleeping in the dumpster.
Police have no leads on a suspect. All the cameras on NON were inoperable at that particular day and time.
Excellent questions, MARK. Those are the kind you ask if you’re looking for answers. The types of mealy statements that The Dumpster makes are general, vague, and say nothing. Why do you think these dudes won’t DARE to sit down with THE PLANET. We ask the questions, then the followups, and if needed we press. And you are right about Lumpy. He’s toast. White has also read the writing on the wall.
If Marchetti could exit stage right today I think he would. Not much more he can squeeze out of the city for himself and the city is sliding downhill at an increasingly fast pace. None of the last five mayors made any serious effort to fix real time problems. They threw money, lots and lots of money, at the schools, sewer treatment plant and finally roads (after Tyer neglected them for 8 years) but none of these things seem to get any better do they? Just keep raising taxes and shoveling more money as any lazy play dough mayor and city council would do.
Then, leave it all to the next phony and let them do it all over again. Get out if you can.

Why feel bad for J Macksey?
Two reasons. First, Jennifer Macksey suffers from TDS, much like Zohran Mammelle does.
Second, he lives in NH and hasn’t been to North Adams lately. He states it’s “out of fear of Lucciforo.”
If it weren’t for John Barrett, she was going to welcome illegal aliens with open arms into the empty dorms at MCLA.
Imagine sending your young daughter to a campus that housed all the illegal aliens the Autopen and Harris Administration allowed into this country unvetted.

I actually agreed with a lot of Veteran “Markus Aurelius” had to write in his replies to my post on your awesome blog.
Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander is brave. I know that she is from a wealthy family in Nashua, NH, that she is a U.S. Navy Veteran, that she worked for the late U.S. Senator John McCain, that she is married to former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who served under President Joe Biden, and that the Trump White House unfortunately says that she is one of the “Seditious Six”.
