BITCHFIELD’s LUMPY JOINS NYC’s MAMDANI AS SNOWFALL INCOMPETENTS

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE WEDNESDAY FEB. 25, 2026) — Potholes and snow removal: The bane of every mayor. Some towns and cities (Dalton, MA; Syracuse, NY) have it down pat. Others (Bitchfield, MA; New York, NY) haven’t a clue. No matter how clean a job a city does, if three flakes are left in the road, someone will bitch about it. THE PLANET understands, and to a large extent we offer bouquets to every mayor or city manager who must be the front man. That includes Peter Marchetti.

You can’t please everyone. However, it’s evident when a burg or municipality has its snow pants on … or not.

How this for a few yuks. New York City’s socialist mayor Zohran Mamdani has called for “emergency snow shovelers” to help the city clear the white stuff from the latest storm. The workers will be paid. Sounds great. In his call, Mamdani said “For those who want to do more to help your neighbors earn some extra cash, you too can become an emergency snow shoveler. Just show up at your local sanitation garage … with your paperwork [sic] which is accessible online.”

A picture, as they don’t say, is worth a thousand snow shovels.

THE PLANET hasn’t laughed so hard since Dumpster Earl went looking for someone who looked like him.

Paperwork.

To shovel snow.

What kind of paperwork? Would-be shovelers in the Big Apple must register online and

  • Provide not one but two small photographs.
  • Not just any small photos. They must be one to one-and-a-half inches square, no more and no less.
  • Two original forms of ID
  • Their Social Security card.

Wait for the punchline.

Mamdani is the same beautiful dreamer who has vehemently criticized the SAVE Act requiring voters to present valid ID to confirm their citizenship. He knows butterflies, zebras, moonbeams, and fairy tales–but he doesn’t have a clean how to run a city without running it into the ground.

As they say, you can’t make it up.

———- ooo ———-

Speaking of snow removal, what was Bitchfield’s plan for dealing with this beautiful crystals? From the most recent snowfall, THE PLANET can share it:

  • Pray that we don’t get hit with more than 2 inches.
  • More snow-clogged intersections, lasting days after the snow stops
  • More unworkable walkways and undrivable streets
  • More buried cross walks
  • More unplowed public pavement.
  • More unmoved mountains of snow lining downtown streets, prohibiting pedestrian and shopper access unless they are willing to scale the heights without Sherpa guidance?
  • More bumpouts chipped and cracked from steel plows
  • More bizarre plowing patterns (some streets plowed multiple times, others ignored)

Snow removal in the Northeast is one of the most basic services a city can offer. The need for it is predictable. True, the amount of snow can be difficult to estimate when strategic planning begins in the early fall, but the certainty of a plan remains an eternal need. Hoping “we don’t get as much as they’re predicting” is not a plan. It’s a pan.

It’s just that, based on past and present performance, it’s clear that Mayor Lumpy, Dumpster Earl, and DPW head Ricky Rumpus haven’t a clue. For that failure, you can depend on one thing: More tax hikes on homeowners and businesses.

Bet on it.

——————————————————–

If Bitchfield has a nickel for every snowflake that fell on Monday, the city would still raise the Kapanskis’ taxes” — Sir Donald Turpentine, Knight of the Bath.

“OPEN THE WINDOW, AUNT MILLIE.”

LOVE TO ALL.

Re: Pittsfield is sNOw fair….

Hello blogger Dan Valenti,

Predictable Pittsfield politics’ municipal budgets have looked the same going back decades, which is a FACT that was recently stated by Mayor Peter Marchetti.

The overtaxed, mostly financially constrained local taxpayers are NOT quantitative variables in the city’s financial formulas (cooked books). Instead, this inequitable municipality plays financial shell games with the state bureaucrats in Boston to receive as much money in state administered, federal aid funds as possible, which is in the tens of million of dollars per fiscal year. These funds have been recently cut by many billions of dollars by the Swamp in 2026 and several years beyond this year, which will result in many millions of dollars in lost state administered, federal aid funds to Pittsfield in the years of 2026, 2027, and 2028.

The problem with Pittsfield’s financial management going back decades is that the city government excessively over-taxes local residents by tens of millions of dollars per fiscal year, but then city officials use the excess funds to build secretive Slush Funds that critics call “Pay to Play” Pittsfield politics; it is blatant CORRUPTION by a one political (Democratic) party system of government.

The well-off, politically-connected special interests donate big money to the state and local career politicians, and in return, they receive a majority of the financial benefits, while the fictional Kapanski’s always get screwed over by the very elected officials who swore an oath of office to represent them in the government (and when one paste wings on pigs, then they are able to fly up in the air).

Pittsfield (Massachusetts) is my native hometown. My great-great grandparents were married in Pittsfield way back in 1888. I come from five generations of the Melle (Piedmont Italy) family from Pittsfield, and I relocated to a nearby border state after my parents retired and moved to Southern NH over 22 years ago.

I have a Master of Public Administration degree from U Mass Amherst (1999). I studied and long followed finance and economics in Massachusetts state and local government. On an academic level, I understand many public policies that goes over most people’s heads because many people are financial illiterate, fear the career politicians’ uses of retribution, and know that there is nobody who represents them in the government.

I have studied Pittsfield politics for around the past 3 decades of my life of 50.5 years.

Pittsfield politics practices RETRIBUTION. To illustrate, when “Jon Melle” spoke out against the corruption that I became aware of in state and local government in Massachusetts many years ago, the result was “Jon Melle” being chronically unemployed as a then young man in Pittsfield. If I – Jon Melle – was not a disabled Veteran, I would be impoverished like so many of Pittsfield’s underclass residents. My PRETEND homeless sidewalk is on the corner of First Street and Fenn Street in Pittsfield, Mass. (that way I could give the middle finger to all of the political insiders).

Pittsfield is a very unusual, postindustrial, small city with a distressed local economy and severe economic inequality. It is blatantly corrupt and run by political insiders who practice retribution.

The excessive city spending in Pittsfield is used to reward the well-off special interests who “Pay to Play” with the insider, career politicians who refuse to speak with the best journalist and blogger in Berkshire County, Dan Valenti, who is the voice of the little guy.

To illustrate, Pittsfield spends over $62 million per fiscal year 2026 more than its peer small city, Westfield, which is also located in Western Mass.

There is NO WAY to WIN in Pittsfield politics unless one “PAYS to PLAY”, which leaves out around 99-percent of the local population, especially the fictional Kapanski family. I am glad that I moved 100 miles away from Pittsfield, Massachusetts, close to 22 years ago. It is like a recurring nightmare that many local residents are never able wake up from.

Best wishes,

Jon Melle

After all the snow emergency warnings there were still cars parked on Tyler street at 9am mid storm which had to be plowed around. Notice to all other area residents. OK to park there during storms? Next time there will be ten cars.

After watching this video, President Trump just showed the American people and the rest of the world, that the democRATS are Illegal Aliens First and Americans Last.

President Trump just gave every MAGA member seeking election during the midterms some good TV ad material with this one.

Project Constitution on X: “BREAKING: TRUMP Just Set The PERFECT TRAP — And DEMOCRATS Walked Right Into It Tonight in the State of the Union, President Trump dropped a masterclass in political chess. He looked every single member of Congress in the eye and said: “So tonight I’m inviting every https://t.co/K3kNM77Kdg” / X

He looked every single member of Congress in the eye and said:
“So tonight I’m inviting every legislator to join with my administration and reaffirm a fundamental principle. If you agree with this statement and stand up and show your support — the first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.”

EVERY democRAT REMAINED SEATED.

Meanwhile, care to respond? The proof is in the pudding with this one.

Zohran Mammelle, we know you are a communist, so no need for you to respond.

VendettaChatGPT, care to respond? Plug this video into AI and seek a good liberal-spin for it. I just saw a bunch of sorry ass democRATS showing their true colors: China Red.

President Trump mentioned in his amazing speech last night that Mamdani is requiring so many forms of ID for snow shoveling, but none for Voting. “They want to cheat” said Trump and that’s why they don’t want to require any ID for voting. When the Democrats wouldn’t clap when Trump said “We should be protecting Americans first because that is the job of the government”, Trump said, “These people are crazy”. He’s right. Ilhan Omar was screaming at Trump and showed her true priorities as did many of the the Dems. American citizens are not their first priority. In fact American citizens are way down on the list of the priorities of the Democrats.

Our city leaders are a joke. last night they voted no to a Berkshire gas hike and worded also to “sharply reduce” costs. lol. Im sure they will do that because of that harsh wording. they also said how people in Pittsfield can’t afford the $52 extra a month. agreed, not after the tax increases that the city has handed us for the last ten years while being so short handed at the police department that they have simply given up on enforcing traffic rules. why? simply not enough officers. why? waste! new schools built and they still suck, new roads paved and they are dug up the next year! I am so sick of this town and the idiots running it while taking selfies eating food or holding big scissors and cutting ribbons to projects that the fortunate few private players who receive public money to enrich themselves finish on our dime. this is a downward spiral that I have witnessed for many many years. Talk to anyone, If they could leave they would, but family holds us here and we put up with this bullshit. it’s just pathetic. schools have 50 year old playgrounds while the school budget eats up 60% of the taxes. WTAF!!

Pittsfield State Representative Tricia Farley-Bouvier’s stand against ICE:

“You can’t help but hear the echoes of the Holocaust in this when people are being rounded up and put in detention, maybe taken far away, disappeared from the community without due process,” she told WAMC. “I don’t know how you don’t think that. These are not criminals. We are just tearing apart families. And we have to stand up. We have to stand up and say, this is not right.”

IF someone can remove that damn car stuck past Dorchester on Elm Street that would be great. How many more times do we all need to complain? It literally blocks the view turning onto Elm and it’s a dangerous intersection at this point

The way we did that in NYC was we remove the little caps and let the air out of the tires. Car gets moved and you can take its space.

Lumpy’s Administration shovels it up taxpayers butts again. Had an early morning appointment on Lumpy’s beautiful North Street by St. Joseph’s Church. After parking in complete slush from the last storm, I had to practically crawl over a 3 foot snow drift to get to the merchant. I just had to drop something off, but here comes the friggin parking meter car. Signed my car in like a good taxpayer!! Drove away after a one minute visit. Went back an hour and a half later to retrieve my item. Went to sign my car in again and guess what…the machine would not let me sign in for the free half hour, just demanded money. So evidently these City owned machines do not let you visit this shitty street twice a day!! You wonder why merchants are leaving.

What gets me the most is that our elected City Councilors spent about 15 minutes at their useless meeting last night. Evidently NOT ONE of them feels there are any problems in the sinking City. Think of the taxpayers money wasted last night at the do nothing meeting. Glad we could feed all their bloated egos, especially the Mayors! The State of the City is a complete hopeless situation.

Shitsfield leading in race to the bottom!

Educated idiots elect educated idiots-
Until the toilets don’t work ( too funny Moore just learned this lesson) wait until Boston, NYC and DC can’t poop- being full of dung in a different way 🙂

Then an accomplished businessman, shows how to manage workforce, calls out corruption to their faces and shames greedy politicians.

Commie mayor, too stupid to plan on a known situation, because the only thing he knows is vocabulary. Yet illiterate in life.

Anyone notice Taxatwoshits, made POTUS number two of most corrupt states?
lol
Think Trump going to have EPA wave the fines?
Shame FEMA can’t held, due to budget !lol
Keep digging shumer, your in deep shite.

Justice is coming, fast hard and deep.
Leah Foley is expecting reinforcements, ABA is all but history, along with absolute immunity.

While Moran Healey is stalling audit, DOJ isn’t:)

Moran will now support the audit, believing her involvement is scrubbed clean, to gain votes.

Which makes the DOJ, probable cause establishment threshold , for warrants.
Game set match.

Moran so stupid, she entrapped herself, hubris is a great quality to have in your opposition!

Seeing the pattern yet?
