(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE MONDAY FEB. 2, 2026) — THE PLANET needn’t remind the Kapanskis that by living in Beserkshire County and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts–two clueless, political levels of the same “progressive” B.S.–they are getting skunked. Ripped off. Robbed. Punished.

Now the level of incompetence has reached the large-, medium-, and small-business sectors in the People’s Republic. How bad is it? We asked Pal Craney, director of the Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance: “Mass. cannot even keep Cape Cod potato chips in Cape Cod,” Craney said. “That should set off alarm bells.”

Corporate owner Campbells, the soup company, said in a press release that the Hyannis chips facility “no longer makes economic sense for business.” It will move the Cape production to factories in Charlotte, NC; Hanover, PA; and Beloit, WI. The pullout, to take effect in April, means unemployment for 49 Cape Cod workers.

It should set off the bells, the bells, the bells … but even if it does, it won’t make a difference. The “openly lesbian” governor of the state and the “openly gay” mayor of Bitchfield (their words, not THE PLANET‘s) will only hear dog whistles that sound the call to line the pockets of insiders, discriminate in favor so-called protected classes, and fund the lives of illegals, race grifters, and other children of the night.

This comes after the state auditor concluded 4,179 iceberg investigations and found $12 million worth of fraud from SNAP and EBT benefits. Ironically, the news of the audit broke on the same day that Boston DEI race grifter Monica Canon-Grant was found guilty 18 fraud counts for her Black Lives Matter shakedown during the “pandemic” … Can you imagine what an honest audit would find with the ARPA money alone in Bitchfield!?

There’s an election coming in November, and THE PLANET wonders if enough fed up voters can shrug off their understandable apathy to elect a new guv. For our money, that should be Brian Shortsleeve, running in the Republican primary. Shortsleeve jumped all over Healey:

“The outrageous bilking of taxpayers [because of] Maura Healey’s mismanagement is a scandal,” Shortsleeve said. “Identifying and rooting out rampant fraud and abuse in our welfare programs is exactly why the federal government is asking for the SNAP data, but Healey refuses to turn it over because she does not want the public to know the full extent of her incompetence.” Same reason that Mayor Lumpy (a.k.a. Peter Marchetti) of Bitchfield keeps an iron curtain around the workings of city government. Transparency, you know.

State Rep. Donnie Bertiaume, R-5th Worcester, joined THE PLANET in its endorsement of Shirtsleeve:

“Mass. is at a breaking point. Families are paying more for housing, energy, and taxes while Beacon Hill keeps growing government and doing accountability. Brian Shortsleeve is the only candidate in this race with the backbone to take on the political class that created this mess and the real-world experience to fix it.”

We’ll be sharing more on Shirtsleeve, a former Marine and businessman, as the campaign progress. For now, let’s return to the empty bag of chips–not just Cap Cod chips but our old standby, State Line, once made in Wilbraham now being bagged in Canada.

The demise of Cape Cod chips in Hyannis exemplifies the stampede of companies moving out of the Bay State. We’ve lost track of the number–Thermo Fisher Scientific, Digital, Wang, Data General, Prime, ad infinitum ad nauseum to the final digit of Pi.

Reasons for the mass exodus that apply to both the state at large and Lumpy’s Bitchfield locally include:

• Crippling taxes
• High cost of living
• lack of a reliable work force
• Sky high energy costs
• Overregulation

Perhaps our next book will be on “Haunted Massachusetts.” It will bare the fate of what we can now call “ghost companies.”

Fraud, corruption, deceit, cheating, treachery, chicanery, bribery, kickbacks, monkey-business, hanky-panky, shenanigans–Thy Name Is Government.
