ANNIVERSARY
Anniversary, a festive word
Not so far removed
From “adversity,”
As three score and 10 has proved.
Yet willing to love they are,
Willing to move, to give,
Wanting to help, to heal,
Leading each other to life, to live.

“From hollow leagues, from Tyranny, which arms / Adverse miscreeds and emulous anarchies / To stamp, as on a winged serpent’s seed, / Upon the name of Freedom … She shall arise / Victorious as the world arose from Chaos.”
“OPEN THE WINDOW, AUNT MILLIE.”
LOVE TO ALL.
Ummmm how sweet it is!
70?
Yes indeed…1970 Baltimore Colts,NFL Champions!
Congratulations on 70! ( I think….and congratulations to me and my vehicle for surviving 70 potholes over the weekend, told my mom to get me into NASCAR
Dan, What is going on at Clapp Park. The City Filled the Parking lot of the West Little League with Snow, They have been dumping it there the last few weeks. Yesterday, Sunday, March 8, A Private contractor with a tiny little Bulldozer was pushing the snow down towards the river. The parking lot is elevated above the Little League Field so when it melts it will seep into the field. I don’t think they will be playing Ball until July. Also, the runoff and melting snow will be draining into the River and into the Track where people walk and jog. It is quite the Boondoggle. I frequent the Park often for exercise and recreation and I bring my Kids there. Plus I am worried about the environmental damage the salt and other toxins being dumped into the rive. Please check into this…..
Haven’t heard of this. Let me notify The Secret Squadron to do a little snooping. Thanks for the tip.
Congrats on 70 and many more….Shelly.
SHELLY et. al.
Thank you for your kind words.
Off subject..whatever it is. I have yet to see the renovation numbers for a restructured Taconic.
All we keep hearing is that it would be the same as the contribution to the taxpayer for a new school. Well, give us numbers.
People still want to be heard.
PKS
That’s the point. The advocates for this unnecessary project DON’T WANT citizens and taxpayers to see hard numbers and true data. Small comfort that you will get those numbers well after the fact. At that point, the city will have rung up $150 million or so in your name, made a tiny number of The Connected a great deal richer, and pushed the city that much close to bankruptcy.
Between 116 and 121 million. There was a meeting tonight. They should have firmer numbers next Monday night. The meeting will be televised starting at 5:15. Tape it if you can’t watch it live. No excuses not to be informed.
Barry
Dan,hope this isn’t true about W L L as it has a wicked mosquito problem also at the field.
Heard there was a brawl during a C Y C game at MIss Halls school over the weekend, any word on that? The Brawl at Miss Halls?
Is that like Thrilla In Manilla, Cat? The Brawl at Miss Hall’s? Who won? Is it in the police log?
Missed the meeting. Anyone know what the renovation number is?
No action was taken.
Re: Deval Patrick to be paid $7500 per day for Boston 2024 Olympic work
Deval Patrick will earn a lot of money promoting Boston for the 2024 Olympics. Bill Weld, who was born with an $80 million old wealth trust fund, is a registered casino gambling lobbyist for a future Boston area casino. Willard Mitt Romney, who is another trust fund baby, is worth hundreds of millions of dollars with savings in the Cayman Islands.
Meanwhile, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is the #1 per capita debtor state in the nation. The Massachusetts state budget has yearly billion-plus dollar budget deficits. The State Legislature is full of political hacks and career politicians who aspire to be either a future Congressman or a registered Lobbyist while collecting a lucrative state government pension.
While it must be nice to be Deval Patrick, Bill Weld, and Mitt Romney, their public record is anything but!

yeah, read that also Jonathan. Private donations….sure.
I could be wrong, But I don’t think you can dump snow within a certain amount of feet from a wetland or waterway. This is a DEP requirement I think. Did the City get a permit????Why didn’t they dump it at “The PIT” where it wouldn’t have any affect on anyone. It would take to long, to do it right, just like patching the potholes. If you cant do it right don’t do it at all. That is what we were all told growing up.
