To “elect” six apparatchiks to six school committee seats, one city clerk for one seat, and seven Ward races plus four at-large seats that came in EXACTLY as THE PLANET predicted? The dumbasses in city hall would have better serve their constituents by going with THE PLANET’s prognostications, calling off the electoral farce, and given the $30Gs to a more worthy cause, such as food for the Christian Center or a nice raise for the underpaid finance director of the school department, Kristen “Tex” Behneke.
The “top” vote getter in the joke? Peter “Fly Boy” Marchetti. He “won” with 86% of the total electorate not voting for him. Instead of leaving office having comes to his senses and found a bit of integrity, Porculent Peter re-upped because of ill health: the voters, the ones with any sense, are still sick of him.
1, Moon’s rising. 2, Morandi clipping. 3, Caccamo putting. 4, Connell counter punching. 5, Rivers flowing. 6 Krol milking. 7, Simonelli paving. AT-LARGE Marchetti mooching, Mazzeo cooking, White wondering, and Persip pleading. SCHOOL COMMITTEE The usual gang of idiots with the con led by Yon. In short, with so many people NOT voting, None of the Above rules (and again, rues) the day.
In other action, Judge John Agostini ruled in favor of the Berkshire Museum in the matter of Norman Rockwell et. al., paving the way for the art auction next week in New York City. At Shuffleton’s Barbershop, the music stopped playing, the lights went out, and that crack in the window got a whole lot bigger.

To summarize, the Berkshire Museum will sell its soul and priceless art works for tens of millions of dollars. The special interests will be rolling in dough with pay raises and lucrative pensions, while Norman Rockwell will be rolling over in his grave.
Also, John Barrett III goes to Beacon Hill. Hopefully he will fight the good fights for Northern Berkshire County. Only time will tell!

During the 2016 presidential race this area came out in droves to vote. It proved that this area will vote, but only if they choose to or need to. Progressives can win elections in this area easily with only a tiny portion of their base showing up at the polls.
The apathy in the city is unbelievable. Must be that too many are drunk, stoned or high and/or they are happy to live in poverty so why bother to vote which is fine with local politicians. Anytime there is anything having to do with pot on the ballot that will also bring out large numbers of voters who would normally not care about voting. It really is sad how far this area has gone downhill. Lack of participation in local government has created a situation where one party leadership has taken over and benefits only certain people in a select inner circle in the city and county.

The Democrat Party backed political hacks win 100% of the so-called “elections” in Pittsfield politics. It is always a fix!

When your candidate choices are either dying by being poisoned or dying by being shot, people often abstain. It’s like when you go into a store, don’t like anything you see, you buy nothing and walk out.
23 % of the electorate showed up? God bless them. And the results were exactly the same as if 93% would have shown up.

I purposely did not vote this time out of utter apathy but may show up the next time depending on who Krols opponent is. My guess is that the machine will run another one of their own candidates in addition to Krol so that the people really do not have a choice at all.
They need to go back to two year mayoral terms. If a current mayor was doing a favorable job, one would think they’d have no trouble with a re-election.
I learned something very interesting yesterday. Under the new charter, a ward councilor can move from their elected ward to another ward to live. Dina Guiel currently rents an apartment in ward 2 but was actively looking to buy a house in ward 4. Thank God she lost.

Yesterday voters in Syracuse elected a Mayor who is not affiliated with a major political party for the first time in 100 years.
So, the logic is to give the Mayor a four year term because most times it takes the first two years to get anything accomplished, got that right.

So I am watching the television thing and there is all this talk about the Texas mass murderer having a telling past. Animal cruelty and domestic abuse including cracking a child’s skull.. How did they miss all these RED FLAGS they wonder.
So I also read in the November 3rd Berkshire Eagle that former Eagle school staffers who beat up disabled kids are avoiding jail time and that their charges will be dismissed if they are nice for a whole year. Well people, it is not that they miss the RED FLAGS but rather they just ignore them altogether. I am sure people who beat up disabled people are just fine if you just get to know them.

I hope the new trash can factory can design better than the one Pittsfield got stuck with. They designed a big square outer bin and put a smaller round can for the actual trash. That means a lot of room for the trash to fall into the outer bin, not in the can. Then who ever empties them pulls out the can and the trash that didn’t make it into the can goes to the bottom of the bin and builds up. Then the emptier just puts the can back on top of the built up garbage and and the can becomes useless. Classic Pittsfield.
My phone was buzzing from about 3 PM (my time) from contacts on the East Coast asking me if I’ve seen the dirt on PittHo on Nat’l news. When I reminded them I was behind the curve, I had to wait with bated breath and a few brews, waiting to see it.
WHAT a slap in the face it gave in re: the selling of the Rockwell art. Bottom line; “it’s all about the money” and not the history or the art, and that is what the news implied. What a sad state of affairs; having to sell off your assests to maintain a museum now lacking assests of history. WHY does a museum have to resort to selling off it’s DONATED gifts to stay open? Betsy McGraw showed a disingenuous face when asked if the sale of the Rockwell gifts was necessary. Notice the stall, the looking away, the blinking eyes; the guarded answer. Deceit!
Why not just let the beast roll over and drive a stake in it’s heart? Sell it all! Take the marbled halls and use it as an Ellis Island for junkies, illegals, and other incoming effluent from surrounding areas. Bring us you tired, your poor, your helpless, your gang bangers, rapists and dealers!

and when the money comes rolling in from the sale of the art pieces who will over see what happens to it? Will there be pay raises and bonuses for those in charge of the museum? Will there be any over sight? Will the museum finances be closed to scrutiny? Will the books be closed to the public?
Some years ago the powers that be decided that the Colonial theater, just down the street from the museum, needed to be restored and the cost was going to be a whopping 2 million dollars. Well golly gee don’t you know that the final cost for those renovations was well over 20 (twenty) million dollars. How did that happen? And into whose pockets did all that money go?
I will not be surprised one bit if a year from now we are hearing about a major renovation of the museum and that a huge chunk of the art sale money will be used to pay for it but with the addition of some TIF money tossed in.
All the money goes to the special interests in this city. Labor unions, construction unions, teacher unions. The politicians get their support in return so they get elected or re-elected, along with some nice kickbacks I’m sure. The fix is in.
The vast majority of the people who voted Tuesday were public employees voting to make sure the pig keeps getting fed. And they are the pig.

As pointed out by THE PLANET in our recent series, this organization has run up $12 million in debt over the past decade. The tens of millions generated by the auction will likely be money that similarly disappears, with inadequate safeguards and accountability. Kickback city? The museum is a private entity and can very well keep the books hidden in a “safe” place. Time, methinks, to organize a permanent boycott of the BM.
Istill believe the museum should pay Pittsfield back the 400k for the environmental controls we bought to protect the rockwell painting and other artworks.
While we are at it lets get Hankcock Shaker Village to give us back the 400 k we gave them for remodeling their offices that they redirected.Liars and legal thieves
