PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, OFF THE MAP SOMEWHERE, MONDAY SEPT. 9, 2019) — To James and all, THE PLANET is still out of civilization and enjoying every microsecond. We are not, however, out of touch, thanks to Al Gore’s invention of the internet.

It’s interesting that — in this foreign land, where you can whittle a twig from the smoke of a corncob pipe — the problem of illegal immigration in the States emerged while s’moring round an open fire under a spectacular band of Milky Way. Essentially, they all wonder if we in Massachusetts and elsewhere have lost our minds.

“Yes,” we replied. “How else does an ostensibly and allegedly ‘free’ electorate send boobs such as Tricia Farley Bouvier Kennedy Onassis (D-Country Buffet) to office?”

TFB, who has yet to have an original political thought, received “talking points” in support of drivers’ licenses for illegal aliens from State House leaders and from Sen. Warren’s office in D.C. “Talking points” are in reality “marching orders.” Nobodies like Bouvier Country Buffet and Adam Hiney have no choice but to obey without question. They are only too glad to comply.

———- ooo ———-

THE PLANET won’t waste photons telling you what you already know. Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski, when they renew their licenses, have to supply passport, birth certificate, fingerprints, pass a three-hour oral exam given in Spanish, walk over hot coals, and clean the DMV floor with Ipana and a toothbrush. Illegals? All they have to do is show up and ask. They are taken first, no questions asked.

Hear are a few of OUR talking points.

  • Handing out licenses to criminals encourages them to keep breaking the law.
  • States with experience in such folly know that many illegals use phony IDs and fake Social Security numbers, obtained online and often paid with the free EBT cards supplied by the Kapanskis.
  • Illegals will buy car insurance, pay for one month, then ignore other premiums. No follow-up by authorities. You try missing a payment. Next thing you know, you’re cancelled.
  • The push for illegals to be given drivers’ licenses comes from Democrats desperate for votes in next year’s elections. This is about the Hispanic and Latino vote, a subpopulation that refuses to do what all previous generations of immigrants did: enter legally and assimilate (language, mores, folkways).
  • Handing out licenses to illegals sends a clear message that it’s OK to break the law.
  • If an illegal is convicted of DUI, they can still apply for a TDL — a Temporary Drivers’ License.

———- ooo ———-

With that wind-up and stimulus, we turn the Comment Line over to You The People. Yes, you still have a home here on THE PLANET. Meanwhile, we have explorations in the wild wood. We shall return …

When we feel like it.

Tricia Farley Bouvier’s public record! She backed the Berkshire Museum shakedown where the most valuable pieces of art, including Norman Rockwell paintings, that were sold off for tens of millions of dollars. She wants to give illegal immigrants driver’s licenses. She is part of Jimmy Ruberto’s WHEN Good Old Boys (and Girls) club. In January of 2017, she voted for the controversial legislative pay raise bill without allowing a citizens’ referendum. She voted for casino gambling. She sends her children to Lenox schools, but represents Pittsfield on Beacon Hill’s State House. She always votes unanimously, along with all the other state Reps, in favor of Speak for Life Bob DeLeo’s legislation. in 2018, she allegedly and corruptly floated the possibility of a job for Judith Knight with Andrea Harrington as DA. She pushed for a new Taconic High School that the city government has no plans to make any prinicipal payments on the municipal bond that will go unpaid for decades into the future. Like the aforementioned legislative pay raise bill, there was no citizens’ referendum on the new Taconic High School project! On 10/24/2016, Chris Connell wrote: “In [her] five years in office my opponent [Tricia Farley Bouvier] has not passed any legislation she has sponsored. That represents 25 bills.” She even backed the PEDA failure and its expensive BIC project.

But they knew that.
Are you confidant that the Berkshire Eagle is not in cahoots with the mayor and her friends to downplay violence in Pittsfield? Or not reporting much of what is going on? Leaving out details? Getting approval from the corner office as to what can and cannot be printed?

I’m not.

DA Andrea Harrington plans to make an announcement on how her office will handle future juvenile cases.

Sources indicate the announcement will be in lock step with other “progressive” DA’s and include the following.

DA Andrea Harrington wants to reduce recidivism among at-risk youth.
They are examining juvenile detention alternative initiative which is a fancy term for diversion.
Whenever possible she will want the juvenile offenders to remain in a stable home prior to trial.
Adjudication will include alternatives to detention, it will include therapy, school intervention, supervised release programs such as home detention, electronic monitoring, day and evening reporting centers, and local treatment programs.
Successful participation in these programs will result in expungement if charges from the juvenile offenders record.
Juvenile offenders are now seen as victims of their upbringing, not as career criminals. Intervention and diversion will “break the cycle” of criminality.
She will work with “our partners in law enforcement, the courts, DCF, social workers, and educators” to tailor treatment programs for juvenile offenders.
There will be some information about minorities and “disproportionate contact with law enforcement”.
And from the playbook

DA Andrea Harrington wants to “promote collaboration in the jus- tice system, address racial and ethnic disparities, and improve conditions of confinement in detention and corrections facilities. State policies and practices across the country are helping to bring to scale local detention alternatives and to sustain successful ef- forts to reduce further juvenile incarceration and this office will lead that effort. These actions seek to better serve youth in the juvenile justice system and reduce costs.”

Cost savings will be a big thing, focus on “education not incarceration” and how much it costs to educate v incarcerate.
There will be some focus on lists of charges that will not be eligible for incarceration, low level drugs, certain robberies (without violence), drinking, public nuisance.
Expect to hear something about a “ Close to Home Initiative”

The specific role of the DA is to enforce the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Not ignore the laws, not make up the laws, not create their own interpretation of the laws, not decide what is criminal and what is not, not use the laws for a progressive agenda. ENFORCEMENT.

When DAs ignore the laws, they are not doing their job, and skirting the laws can mean that they are even breaking the laws.

While a DA can’t be removed from office, a complaint can be filed with the state Board of BAR Overseers. The complaint can be investigated and the license to practice law of a DA can be suspended temporarily or permanently. In Massachusetts, it is a requirement that at DA be an attorney. Without said license, a DA can’t be a DA and has to resign.

Harrington, no matter how much the idiots that support her want to fawn over her because she theoretically shares their agenda (but in reality her agenda is powered by her own blind ambition) regardless of her incompetency, is unfit for office. Her actions endanger all of us.

I would hope that the police, backed by their unions and national organizations as well as private citizens would file a complaint with the state BAR. Together, we should make every effort to have Harrington’s license suspended and to thereby force her to resign.

How high will the body count have to go before something is done to end her reign of stupidity?

How can they remain in a stable home if they live in a home with parents who are unstable themselves? The whole idea seems set up to fail.

The answer is tough love as in more birth control and abortions need to be made easily available, free and encouraged for all unplanned pregnancies’. This idea may not be politically correct but it is time to stop kidding ourselves. Too many kids born to too many mothers who are clueless as to how to raise them

Dear kindly Judge, your Honor
My parents treat me rough
With all their marijuana
They won’t give me a puff
They didn’t wanna have me
But somehow I was had
Leapin’ lizards! That’s why I’m so bad!

This sums up the beliefs of Harrington and others in the far left. From the Office Krumky song in West Side Story. The song, however, is making fun of young people blaming all of their problems on their upbringing and taking no responsibility for their actions.

Anyone under a certain age (18 in most places, 26 in Obamerica) would more than likely, to a point, be a product of their environment.

I am all for not putting kids in jail. If you’re kid is robbing pedestrians and shooting kids at the park, you should be locked up, fined etc. That way you have a reason to step up your parenting game.

As a teacher, kids are easily molded and no, it’s not their fault they have shitty upbringing. But, somewhere the cycle must be broke

You forget that anyone under 21 is considered by the far left to NOT be responsible for their actions because their brains are not fully developed yet. The upbringing part is just another piece of their plan to not hold young people responsible for bad behavior. Leaving them in the schools where they can disrupt the education of other children is also not a good strategy.

Police Report, Just one edit: you forgot to mention that the first step in Harrington’s juvenile justice program was to get rid of the prevention programs in our county schools.
Some questions:
What are the stats for the number of juvenile cases over the last ten years?
The programs you outlined seem interestingly to require that all the work be done by other agencies. Wonder what they think? What about partners in law enforcement – how do police feel about this?
How will therapy and other programs be paid for?
What are Helen Moon and Dina Giuel doing besides campaigning?

Regarding Pucci, I have heard Harrington went to her buddies in the other DA’s offices and they both said it shouldn’t be prosecuted.

Might have sent this twice – NYS used to have a Person in Need of Supervision order that got a juvenile into the system and was often filed by parents who thought their kid was out of order and unable to be supervised at home. This could have gotten a child to be put into a non secure or secure facility based on the family court order. No one can run a successful non secure facility anymore so they rarely exist. Offenders could await court in a facility too. Secure facilities are easier to run but more expensive and prison like.
Does MA do PINS or is juvenile detention founded on an arrest?

PoliceReport

Excellent question.
Yes parents can seek to have their children detained BUT it will rarely happen unless on a psyche hold.

The new laws are much more strict on juvenile justice and detention. There are about six or seven steps for detention, and it’s created a chilling effect on police actually doing anything at all when it comes to children under 12. It has also stopped police from doing much when it comes to juveniles at all.

The July 2018 changes have made things very difficult.
Under 12, no detention, no arrest.
Age 12-18, no arrest without a warrant, no detention without a warrant.

What makes it even more difficult are the time constraints, police can only hold children for 6 hours, have to have a certified facility, and must do so after contacting the placement hotline.

This procedure is so convoluted it makes it easier just to ignore the kids as long as they aren’t fighting, killing, or raping someone.

A good example of this is if a child is picked up, and they are under 12, they go back to the parent, guardian, or if none are available DCF. Many of these kids are repeat offenders, are known bad actors, and the police know their parents or grandmother (as is often the case) isn’t around or can’t handle them.

You can peruse the guidelines here

https://www.mass.gov/files/documents/2018/06/27/Juvenile%20Arrest%20Procedures-June%202018%20-%20FINAL.pdf

It seems like there’s a window for a PINs type procedure somewhere in the school disruption problem. I have zero confidence in the social workers to make effective change because if you remove politics from the problem described above you have a repeated social dynamic malfunction that has been well funded to be ignored.
I don’t know about case handling but anything the current DA had been out publicly about sounds like shallow politics speak. We should fire here at election time.

TFB is a tool of a political machine. Not sure how one looks in the mirror or feels good about oneself in such a life choice. Self esteem must be non existent.

But as far as giving drivers license s in order to facilitate votes why would Massachusetts need more democratic votes? Republican governors have pretty much worked well enough and there is no contest in every other position.

Illegal immigrants are voting in the presidential elections. They are not supposed to be, but they are doing so illegally. They always vote Democrat. Once they have driver licenses, the next step for the far left will be to arrange for them to be able to legally vote in the presidential election. The far left is playing the long game, but they are currently benefiting from all the illegal immigrants in the country.

Farley Bouvier and the rest of our reps can not point to 1 job brought here to the Bershire. Pittsfield is a city who is chasing failure the old fashion way by raising taxes on the Senior citizens and the busting ass working poor. Many people voted for Tyer to cut taxes 4 years ago.I was one of those.Schools budget is not working for me,the highway budget being 3 million over in overtime in 12 months is not working for me,Tyer ran on crime as the number one problem and that issue is still the same.Sorry Mayor but you had 4 years.Mazzeo is the better choice. If I vote Tyer I know things wont change and my taxes will go up.Thank you for running Mrs Mazzeo. Thanks for asking questions. Thanks for learning about the issues, thanks for educating yourself ,thanks for serving as our next mayor.I think we only have 1 more 4 year term to help the working poor of Pittsfield.

annnnndd…like many of the other social programs, licenses for illegal immigrants will encourage many more of them to come to Massachusetts. What happens to a state when it has more illegal people than legal people? Would all the people speaking different languages make it easier for teachers to teach school? Would we rename the state the Commonwealth of Babble?

It is a slippery slope Tricia. I hope you are one step ahead of the influx.

Trisha Far Off Bouvier is a WHEN clone and Linda Tyer is as well. TFB’s kids go to school in Lenox. She lives in Pittsfield close to the Lenox line. She could never beat Smitty Pignatellii in the State Reps race so she remains here. Her husband is a teacher in south county, so he drops the kids off in Lenox on his way to work. So while paying her state salary we the citizens of Pittsfield are paying to send her kids to school in Lenox. These two girls are a part of the Ruberto Regime. Ruberto’s Renaissance is empty storefronts on North St. and his giveaway of G.E.economic development monies to failed entities, Workshop Live, Richard Stanley Beacon Cinema and major tax breaks to Spice is a lack of effective leadership and the lining of pockets. Both Tricia and Linda while on the city council voted in favor of these failed entities. They need to be held accountable. They give women a bad name. They are not the brightest bulbs on the block and so the men love them because they are no threat to their masculinity and can be controlled. And by the way Linda has no kids but if she did i am sure they would be attending Lenox schools.

This should be public information and if it is such a worthy economic engine plan she should be proud of it and share the names. Unless of course it has become a special interest payback fund in which case I can see why she is freaking out about people finding out who they are.

Who else is getting the Pittsfield piñata money? That is one of the mayors deepest darkest secrets. Senior citizens are having their property taxes increased to make up for what she is giving away to friendly business owners. This is shameful and certainly a subject a mayoral opponent should be talking about. And truthfully, the business owners should be ashamed as well and are also asking that their identities not be revealed. Sad.

As previously stated, and the progressive buzz word bingo words were highlighted and hit almost to a one. It’s almost like they plagiarized Reforming Juvenile Justice A Developmental Approach. Curious where were Mayor Tyer and Chief Wynn were they not there with DA Andrea Harrington? Did Chief Wynn have another out of town speaking engagement?
These are just buzz words from the study Reforming Juvenile Justice A Developmental Approach.
All this really does is supplant the uncaring and absentee parents with paid for by the state social workers who will complain of too large of a case load.
Does DCF do a good job? Who exactly will head up this unit? What staff resources will be dedicated to this unit. DA Andrea Harrington removed early education and intervention programs at the school due to budget concerns, but now they have money for this because a much more hands on approach to intervention is somehow cheaper? It isn’t. Next we will increase the competency evaluations, find that 80% of the juveniles lack fundamental competency so these cases will now be considered mental health issues.

If the best we can do is replace the parents with staff from DA Andrea Harrington’s office, we are in dire straits.

Gaylamar Artis told Mayor Linda Tyer about how she fears for her grandchildren living on Francis Avenue.

“It’s terrible over there,” she said, citing recent violence in the city’s West Side.

Tyer said she understands that there are a lot of good people in the neighborhood who, because of the actions of a few, are living in fear.

Artis said she doesn’t want to see her family in the news before something gets done about it.

“Can’t say, `never me,'” she said. “You never know.”

To another woman who asked about the city’s West Side, Tyer said “there are some things I want to finish up.”

“I want to keep working with the West Side,” she said. “We’re not in denial about it.”
