TYER ‘PROTESTS’ WHILE TAXPAYERS SUFFOCATE … plus … PLANET ENDORSES NEAL

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE LU, MONDAY AUG. 31, 2020) — Even in Lands Unknown, word reaches THE PLANET of the hopelessness of Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski, those archetypal Pittsfield taxpayers. Once again, they face higher taxes, higher fees for lower service, and more incompetence. The latest example of municipal impotence comes from the in-over-his-noggin DPW commish Ricardo Morales, whose crack direction and crack crews screwed up the water main on Hubbard Avenue not once but twice. Their klown-kar response put hundreds of home, apartments, and businesses singing “Love Those Muddy Waters.”

The Lovely Linda Tyer hasn’t acknowledged the errors. She’s got more important things to do than to worry about the Kapanskis. She had to attend and speak at yet another of those fake monuments to a phony crisis. Sunday. Park Square. The Kumbayas, not the Kapanskis, gathered to “protest,” what exactly? Oh yeah, “racism.” That’s the totality of the Democratic campaign platform, the starkest and most simplistic in the history of presidential campaigns. The torrential remnants of Hurricane Laura were just a day too early.

THE PLANET‘s press time, altered as it is by the international date line and hemispheric swamp gas, doesn’t know how the “protest” went. Judging by the last time they did this during the pandemic, there will be little or no social distancing, few masks, and plenty of hooey.

Folks, how about a rally in Park Square or, better yet, city hall, in honor of the bedraggled Kapanskis.

A Taxpayer Lives Matter (TLM) hoedown?

TLM will gather right outside The Lovely Linda’s office, singing ballads and reciting sonnets on the joys of choosing between paying the mortgage or buying life-saving prescription medicines, between deciding on groceries or the gas bill. Chances are, though, The Lovely One won’t be there.

She’ll either be tucked away in her gated mansion as far out of the city as possible while still being in the city or plucking out the eyes of an unemployed dad who got caught stealing a loaf of bread so he make baloney sandwiches for his family. The bread will be white. So will the dad. Multigrain and pumpernickel would have been excused. They were in the process of “turning their loaves around.”

———- ooo ———-

If Alex Morse is the answer, the electorate is asking the wrong question.

With Tuesday’s primary election  officially kicking off the presidential campaign season, voters in this state’s 1st congressional district have a choice: Returning Richie Neal, a man who chairs the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, or Morse, whose far-left agenda makes Neal look like Mitch McConnell. Morse, the wet-behind-the-ears mayor of Holyoke, campaigns on passing the Green New Deal fantasy, enhancing corrupt unions, and defunding police departments.

His boring but voluminous campaign literature says he’s part of “a new generation of leaders in government … with the right values.” His latest piece also includes an endorsement by “Pittsfield City Council President Peter Marchetti.”

Nuff ced. With friends like that …

Those “right values” include higher taxes, bigger government, fewer services, persecution of the middle-class, and support for “a new generation of agitators, free-loaders, and urban terrorists.”

THE PLANET without qualification endorses Richie Neal for another term.

Will Pittsfield politics finally approve an emergency homeless shelter for the city’s homeless population before they all become at risk of freezing to death?
Will Mayor Linda Tyer keep increasing municipal taxes, fees, and public debts, while Matt Kerwood sits on his +$10 million slush fund?
Will Beacon Hill pass a fiscal year 2021 state budget in 2020?
Will Donald Trump ever release his federal tax returns?
If “PAC-Man” Richie Neal loses his 17th campaign for U.S. Congress on Tuesday, 9/1/2020, will he immediately get offers to be a K Street corporate lobbyist?
If Holyoke Mayor and Congressional candidate Alex Morse wins on Tuesday, will all the public school districts in his Western Massachusetts C.D. get taken over by state bureaucrats?
Will the U.S. Senate ever pass a new stimulus bill after their 25-day long recess that doesn’t end until September 8th, 2020?
Will Joe Biden ever stop running for Prez since his first failed run back in 1988?
Will our beloved country shutdown once again during the upcoming flu season and COVID-19 pandemic this Autumn of 2020?
Will the residents of Lee (Mass.) ever get to vote on the proposed toxic waste dump that GE wants to put in their town?
If Joe Kennedy the Third wins on Tuesday, will he then run for Prez in 2024?
Will Bernie Sanders ever pass one utopian piece of legislation into law after decades on Capitol Hill?
Will V.P. Mike Pence convert America into a theology where women and homosexuals become second class citizens to moral hypocrites such as the three time married and adulterer Donald Trump?
Will our nearly $27 trillion and ever growing national debt ever be paid off?
Will Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski ever get ahead of the game, or will they always be robbed blind by politicians and their vested and special interests?

Mr. Melle, the city already has an emergency homeless shelter. If we build one to house 300 bums, 220 more will come here and fill it with the other 80 already here, most of whom, according to this blog, came here from parts unknown to begin with. We have enough panhandlers now. Our city is disgusting on so many levels now. Bums on street corners, and the lovely couple rotating on Park Square is but one shining example. Count your blessings that you made it out alive.

For the record, I am sad for my native hometown (Pittsfield, Mass.) for all of the poverty, crime, distressed local economy, and high municipal taxes, fees, and public debts. I understand how some people feel about opening a new emergency homeless shelter in Pittsfield’s already struggling downtown. However, it will soon be very cold out at night, and it is immoral and inhumane to do nothing or be indifferent in the face of human suffering and social injustice. On this upcoming Wednesday evening, after tabling the vote twice over two months in a row, I hope that Pittsfield politics will vote in favor of opening the new emergency homeless shelter. I don’t want to read about over 60 homeless people freezing to death on a freezing Autumn and/or Winter night because some people don’t want even more poverty on the inner-city streets of Pittsfield.

That is what they want We the People to do: “STFU”. Politicians rob the common people: The rich getter richer, and the underclass grows larger. We the People are only an insurance policy to be cashed in when the billionaires get a bailout to keep the economy running. In closing, I hope Pittsfield’s +60-homeless don’t freeze to death, while Matt Kerwood sits on a +$10 million slush fund and Mayor Linda Tyer raises municipal taxes, fees, and public debts to record levels.

Urban terrorists are exactly what these people are Dan. And I like your analogy about the loaves of bread. So much gets blamed on”systemic racism”, which is like the swamp monster I was told about as a kid down by the old Big N, which was built in a swamp, or the Pitt Park Monster, rather than the fact that young black male crime is, and has been, outta control for years. Taxes Tyer will be going down in history as one of the worst mayors ever, right up there with Sara Hideaway, speaking of which, rumor has it Hidin Biden is coming out of the basement. Democrats must be getting nervous.

None of these candidates will speak out about the violence except to blame it on President Trump. These Progressive candidates all walk in lockstep or they will after the elections are over. They think defunding the police will give us peace when the opposite is happening because criminals love having no police. They have the young people between the ages of 18 and 24 all pumped up on social activism which includes violence even though this is the same age group that they privately call “really stupid” which is why they knew they could use them to carry out their political agenda.

Because I’m supporting Neal, my kids call me, the guy that had a gay couple in his wedding party, anti-gay. Nope. Morse has demonstrated poor judgement.

If a high school teacher latched onto a teenage girl and dated her, there would be outrage, criminal charges, you name it.

But because Morse is gay, used his position at UMass to date other students, by recruiting them on dating sites, that’s okay.

Sorry. It amazes me how Progressives have this double standard wherein they can accuse anybody of anything but do the same things themselves.

No thanks.

Maybe the fist step in addressing the homeless problem is “don’t bus them in if you can’t afford on keeping them”. The hospital for 12-25k a week for each homeless patient in the Hilton. Then when they were cleared the mayor and fema kicked them out.

Interesting that not too long ago the mayor was going to welcome a large group of immigrants to the city and provide food and lodging until they got on their feet. Also help with employment.
Could these homeless folk disguise themselves are Syrian refugees long enough for her start caring? If the homeless could form a business the mayor might dump some money on them as that is where she shines. Ask Dotties.

I thought the ER was always the medical clinic for those who receive free healthcare? Yet, I always have to think twice about bringing my son or daughter to the ER because of the copay/deductible, and that is with fairly good insurance. Maybe we should just quit our jobs.. free healthcare, free housing, free North St services, and vouchers and stamps galore that I could just sell for the newest Xbox game. I have been doing it wrong all this time….

Can’t imagine the money spent just this past week from the campaigns of Neal, Morse, Markey and Kennedy. I agree with the previous comment about the cardboard mailers. Finally took my landline off the hook today, Neal’s campaign has called nine times today alone. Meanwhile in “real life” folks are struggling to make ends meet especially with the downfall of the ongoing pandemic. Do any of these politicians ever think what all the money they have spent could have done to help people out in our current messed up world? They are all nothing but selfish and only care about themselves. Take Kennedy, Hinds and Harrington’s photo op with the homeless at Springside Park. Did any of the three of them do anything yet to help the homeless out. NO, it has just gotten worse for them. Also, couldn’t help but think of a year ago with the campaigning for Mayor and City Council of Pittsfield. All the promises they all made, excuse me I should say lies they told. What have these elected selfish politicians done for us this year? I honestly can’t think of one campaign promise that has been fulfilled. Although they did raise our taxes and sewer/water fees. Pathetic and shameful, all of them.

Speaking of self serving politcians, is mayor Tyer going to allow the taxpayers who elected her and pay her huge salry and benefits to know which business s in Pittsfield that she gave their hard earend money to? Or is she going to stay in her bunker hiding this information from her people because she is too embarrassed to release the names?
I am pretty sure she would be totally embarrassed and none of the business s want anyone to know they were grabbing at the taxpayers wallet either. Is the mayor ashamed of what she has done? Are the business s ashamed as well? Will Mr Marchetti, a man of the people, get on this right away because he believes it is the right thing to do or will he cower in the corner with the mayor?

Can anyone confirm the rumor that our city teachers are all gathered at the local schools for two weeks of professional (in-person) development classes? If so, then why can’t the students resume in-class learning? Why isn’t City Hall fully open? Why isn’t the school committee and the city council resuming in-person meetings?

In NYC a man was raping women in broad daylight. He was caught finally by a citizen who did something, but many were just watching it happen and who knows how many women he has raped in this lawless environment. In NYC a judge was punched in the head by a man on a bicycle as she was walking to work. In Portland a Trump supporter is executed while the rioters are cheering that the “trash has been taken out”. This evil is happening because of a lack of police. This dangerous “social experiment” that the Democrats want to spread across the country.

And just a side note, uh, the country was no where near this effed up until Trump took the riens. It amazes me that Trumps supporters think that somehow they are going to come out of his presidency with a much better life. How is it working out so far, and how great will it be if he starts a civil war? A civil war that will horrify everyone (even republicans who somehow think they will be immune).

If you are talking about the federal Paycheck Protection Program loans (maybe foregiveable), there was a list of the Berkshire County recipients in the July 12 Berkshire Eagle section A. And some of the names will surely raise your eyebrows along with the amounts. For instance.
Hotel on North…..$150,000-350,000
Pittsfield Lawn and Tractor $150,000-350,000
Guidos Fresh Market……$1-2 million
Petricca Industries……….$2-5 million
Hundreds more so get a copy if you can, you will surely be enlightened and perhaps bummed out if you did not grab some for yourself.
All perfectly legal and so why not grab a share?

Now if the Eagle saw fit to print our mayors handouts I did not see them. And I also find it curious that they would not print them but my guess is that they could not get permission from the mayor who may be the final editor on what you get to see. Not sure who this paper is trying to impress but the optics are dubious at best.
