ENDLESS WAR: BIDEN END-RUNS CONGRESS IN $100 BILLION ‘AID’ PACKAGE

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, DEC. 11, 2023) — Here’s a lede from an AP story filed Sunday (yesterday):

Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Sunday defended the emergency sale to Israel of nearly 14,000 rounds of tank ammunition and also called for quick congressional approval of more than $100 billion in aid for Israel, Ukraine and other national security priorities.

Like George W. Bush after 9/11, Joe Biden thinks he’s found gold in being a “wartime president.” Who else but Commie-loving, peacenik, un-Americans would go against a “wartime president?”

When terrorists hit in 2001, they hit America, our “homeland” (the word still makes THE PLANET gag). On that basis, Bush could make a credible case. Biden’s “war,” however, is little more than undeclared adventurism, sticking America’s nose where it doesn’t belong while ignoring its domestic needs. We also point out that the Biden rush to send 14,000 tank shells to Israel costing $106 million breaks the law for its circumvention of Congress.

———- ooo ———-

That’s right. We The People’s representatives had no say in the flush of tank shells to the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), a group turned as bloodthirsty as the worst Hamas fighters. And this doesn’t factor in the moral component of sending 14,000 projectiles of devastating force to continue the IDF’s shooting Palestinian fish backed and stacked into the bottom of the southern Gaza barrel. Nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide, defenseless women, children, and civilians continue to pass a horrible price for …

… for what, exactly? Even if Israel “succeeds” in wiping out Hamas, a doubtful propositions, the manufactured country has succeeded in rousing the rest of the Islamic world.

———- ooo ———-

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken defended the Congressional end around.

Of course he did.

Biden’s moved dictatorially on the tank shells after the $106 million request got bogged down in an appropriation bill meant to secure America’s SW border with Mexico. THE PLANET shall leave alone Biden’s disastrous open-border policy, which for three-plus years has let millions of unvetted criminals flood U.S. cities. This influx has saddled Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski with the responsibility of paying for the illegals’ food, shelter, clothing, smart phones, drivers licenses, EBT cards, Chanel, and room service.

In effect, Biden’s people plucked the $106 million tank-shell bill from the border appropriation measure and simply by fiat declared it a done deal. From shell bill to shell game. And we thought we had done away with Divine Right of Kings here in America.

From AP:

Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, said the administration has yet to justify additional aid to Ukraine. “So what we’re saying to the president and really to the entire world is, you need to articulate what the ambition is. What is $61 billion going to accomplish that $100 billion hasn’t?” Vance said.

Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., said the money would make a difference because Russia is struggling to fund its war effort. “It can change the outcome of this war,” Murphy said. “Because at the very same time that we are making a renewed commitment to Ukraine, Russia’s ability to continue to fight this war is in jeopardy.”

Which of the two do you find more convincing? THE PLANET agrees with Vance. Just like government’s approach to public education, blindly pouring more billions into the sinkhole of adventurism won’t change a thing.

Fake “wars” have devastatingly authentic consequences.

I give a grade of A+ to the best Mayor of Pittsfield politics EVER: The Lovely Linda Tyer. She vigorously fought Pittsfield’s Pot King Luciforo’s lawsuit versus the city, but at the end of each day, they live in their respective mansions in Pittsfield’s elitist Gated Community within close proximity to the Hancock border so they have to LOVE thy multi-millionaire neighbors – even when one of them is guarding Cumby’s on 1st Street at 3:00 am!

She is going to cost the taxpayers even more for not returning the impact fees to Andrea and the Girard’s. because there was no impact to the city from they’re businesses that cost the city. She will have to use taxpayers money to represent the city and also the attorney fee’s for the businesses from the lawsuits when she loses.Oh, plus return thousands to the businesses from the fee’s they already paid. Maybe now people will find out where she spent the pot money since no one is telling. Good bye to one of the worst mayor’s who didn’t care about the taxpayers one iota.

And it is very strange that Pittsfield, which has the base hubs for fiber optics buried somewhere in City Hall, does not begin a program of providing self-service internet to the City, discount internet to businesses in a first step fiber optic development plan, and ultimately provide fiber optic to the residents. We could cut the cable companies out of the internet service and do it ourselves and better.

On my stop in Virginia City, a very small place about 100 meters long, there are signs everywhere: “Buried Fiber.” Montana, the size of Planet Jupiter per infra specs, is fiber optic. Pittsfield, the last 10′ of fiber optic is trying to update its water plant.

The U.S. Government invaded Iraq in mid-March, 2003. Iraq hold the world’s second largest oil reserves; Saudi Arabia holds the world’s largest oil reserves. Russia invaded Ukraine in early-2022. Joe Biden – along with billionaire John Forbes Kerry (who had millions of dollars invested in the oil and gas industry up to early-2021) and Hillary Clinton (who stood by her man, Bill Clinton, who has 26 flight log entries listed on Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet) – voted for Bush 2’s invasion of Iraq, but Biden sends billions upon billions of dollars to Ukraine because invading a foreign nation is wrong. China is planning to invade Taiwan in the near future, but, once again, Joe Biden voted to invade Iraq so that must mean, once again, that invading a foreign nation is wrong. Joe Biden’s administration twice vetoed a U.N ceasefire resolution to stop Israel’s invasion of Palestine to fight the terrorist group Hamas, who attacked Israel on October 7th, 2023, while a little less than 20,000 innocent people and Peoples on both sides have been killed in this ongoing Middle East war that could escalate into a regional conflict that could claim millions of innocent lives I do NOT think that Joe Biden will be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize! That was a lot to write!

In Pittsfield politics, Tuesday night’s upcoming City Council meeting will see a vote to raise the municipal tax rate by a little less than 9 percent to pay the city’s bills in fiscal year 2024 which runs from July 1st, 2023 to June 30th, 2024. The a little less than 9 percent municipal tax hike doesn’t include the water and sewer rate hikes, which also increased in fiscal year 2024. The city government may spend up to $230 million during this single fiscal year in return for: Level 5 public schools, Pittsfield always annually being listed in the top 10 cities by population in Massachusetts for VIOLENT CRIME, 15 empty storefronts on North Street’s sarcastically called “Social Services Alley”, the 25-year-old indebted and polluted PEDA debacle, and an overall “SHIT SANDWICH” of diminishing public services that led to a lot of deferred maintenance, such as city roads with a lot of pot holes. Would you pay up to $230 million for Pittsfield politics’ failed leadership? If not, then please move out of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, to stop being screwed over.

Just another illegal act from our naked hall walking illegitimate president. He or his handlers feel he can just do whatever he wants and the justice system won’t arrest him. How many laws must he break before they arrest him. It’s not that hard to find anything, they have him on tape admitting to a crowd of people that he witheld aid to Ukraine unless they fired the attorney who was prosecuting Hunter, prid guo pro, you know the thing they said Trump did and it was in the news for years well I haven’t heard the Berkshire hate rag talk once about it.

The American dream doesn’t account for those who make mistakes or those who are less Mentally fortunate or those who are born into horrible
living conditions with parents who cannot guide them out of it and only perpetuate the cycle. But hey let’s fight wars and pay for them all over the world and then rebuild countries again with our money. Maybe we can cover their pensions as well like we are doing in Ukraine? Pittsfield Administration at its finest again!

This so-called storm has been predicted for days, yet the Administration waits until 9 p.m. last night to do their “snow emergency” robocall. Great timing! Many families have either called it a night because believe or not they have to work the next day, or in the process of winding down. The snow emergency is until Wednesday, is the Public Works department and plow drivers that inept, or are the plows not functioning, or do we lack contract companies offering to plow? Some answers needed from the Administration.

All weather forecasters I watched and read stated that we were to get a dusting to possibly an inch or two. Where does the city get their information?

Now there is a two-hour delay in Pittsfield only, hill town schools still on regular schedule. How is it that Dufour bus drivers can operate their buses in inclement weather, but the Pittsfield bus department can’t. Some answers are needed from the Administration.

Final question, has the Pittsfield School system completed one solid week since September? All other school districts do not have these constant “teacher conferences”. Are the Pittsfield teachers in that much need for constant training? If so, why were they hired? Let’s give Joe Curtis another contract though!

Martha’s Vineyard, off season and largely vacant, was a good choice. They kicked theirs off, with the usual friendliness of New England hypocrisy, within 48 hours.

Williamstown is a good choice. They have a college there that owns 95% of land up to the wall of farms that they can’t grab. Williams College is champing at the bit to help. They could be recruited for Winter Study courses too. Students could join with a immigrant, live in a tent for a month, and write a journalistic thesis on the experience. Senior seminars: “SOC 403 From My Land to Your Land.” REL 353 “Immigrant as Pro-phecy. Prophets and (anti)prophets as (pre)known by Derrida and Bataille” ECO 324 “The Economy of Person”

Lenox has tons of space and hotels. Stockbridge has space too.

Somehow Great Barrington and Pittsfield, both with their own flavors of urban decay, are deemed appropriate for the town/city and good for the immigrants. Why?

K: Beware romanticizing the impossibly corrupt. Zelensky is on Zelensky’s Ukrainian sides: the Ukrainians who pay in. The rest are dragged to the fronts with their personal faith in their cause. If in favor, they get guns and Western kit. If not, bring your own and don’t call for backup or extraction.

He’s trying to regain Kherson, one drone at a time. Why? Because his generals – he appointed them (quid pro quo deals?) – made a deal with the Russian generals and opened the border. Now Ukrainian recruits die to claw it back meter by meter.

Zelensky is still firing his corrupt generals, and appointing fresh corrupt generals to replace them, just as the Russians are firing their corrupt generals and replacing them with corrupt ones. It’s not a war. It’s a meatgrinder for both sides and the soldiers and their families are victims on both sides.

Mayor-elect Peter Marchetti’s online radio interview:

https://www.wamc.org/news/2023-12-11/pittsfield-mayor-elect-marchetti-discusses-administrative-staff-appointments-2024-goals-reflections-on-messy-campaign

He said that he is not a fan of social media, and that he asks the people and taxpayers of Pittsfield to please give him a 90 day grace period after he is sworn in as the new Mayor of Pittsfield on January 2nd, 2024, and after early-April of 2024, he is fair game to be critiqued.

I found his aforementioned comments to be weird. Aren’t the people and taxpayers of Pittsfield politics supposed to practice FREE SPEECH? Isn’t Pittsfield a municipality within the United States of America? When has any other career politician said anything similar to this?

ABSOLUTELY!!!!! If you need a 90 day grace period you can do one hell of a lot of damage with a 230 million dollar budget. If you are that unqualified you should not be running especially as his campaign pictured him as the second coming of Christ himself. Are they now admitting they fudge his whole resume? First, asking for a grace period is odd. Who asks for a grace period? Most people just appreciate a grace period.

Jan 1 2024, the departments are asked by the Mayor to draft their budgets. In February, contracts are negotiated, drafts are beginning to roll in. March is a time to restrict and revise budgets and negotiations, close books on unexpected winter costs, April is: Too late to get started.

I would want to be entering office with a leg up on the priorities.

He used that old saw, that TFB used her last election, “I’m a workhorse, not a showhorse.”

Workhorses don’t ask for grace periods. They just work.

Grace periods are over for this city

from the Mayors office, the DPW, the Da’s office, the City council, the State rep. The end of the year grade for the aforementioned is trending from a D- to a- F

Grace period, you have had a grace period the last 10 years. still the same North Street, still the same shoplifters, same junkies, same boarded up storefronts, same crime Did miss anything?

His experience hasn’t helped Pittsfield any as yet.

if he wants to get off on the right foot he should stop Morales and his idiocy. Everything Tyer has let pendejo do has pissed the residents off.

Hello blogger Dan Valenti,

Tonight is the first big test for City Council President/Mayor-Elect Peter Marchetti. Will he succeed in raising the municipal tax rate(s) by a little less than 9 percent during tonight’s City Council meeting? What arguments will he make to support the city government and (level 5) public school district to spend up to $230 million in taxpayer dollars during this current fiscal year 2024 that ends on June 30th, 2024? Will he also address the fact that the a little less than 9 percent tax rate(s) increase(s) does NOT include the increases in the water and sewer rates? Will he (pretend to) sympathize with the low- to moderate-income households in Pittsfield? Will he restate that he will be taking a cut in pay when he is sworn in as the next Mayor of Pittsfield at a city salary of $115,725 per fiscal year (that will increase in forthcoming fiscal years) plus all of his city public perks? Tonight’s city council meeting should be interesting because it will set the tone for the next 4 years of the Mayor Peter Marchetti administration in Pittsfield politics!

Happy Holidays! (….unless you are a Pittsfield taxpayer, of course!),

Funniest thing to get inked. I call it, Memo from Office of “with friends like this, who needs enemies”.

[Speaking of a bill in Boston to exterminate employment discrimination based on height and weight]

“People whose bodies do not meet Western beauty standards are often denied basic empathy in their daily lives, let alone equity or inclusion,” said Sen. Rebecca Rausch. “[short] Fat people face particularly stark discrimination”

Ms Rausch, there’s a better way. Cubic people.

How many people are getting jobs meet Western Beauty Standards? And waht about that silly phrase? Is sen Rausch uncomfortable with ‘non-Western’ beauty Standards? Has she even watched an Indian Beauty pageant? Or an Israeli one? Asian beauty standards are not agreeable to a western male? (I’m assuming she is only talking about herself, er, I mean women that is….)

I believe that the phrase she wants is ‘discrimination against Baroque Beauty Standards.’ It’s really an epochal thing for her, but she thinks it genetic.

That would help prevent the poor man’s crisis, but the real solution is rebuild City Ops to only serve residents’ needs and wants. Residents defines: the communal wants, not special interest wants.

City of Pittsfield plow trucks with sanders have been driving all over the city for two days now. Could someone please let them know that it did not snow. Maybe they could do something productive like clear out the sewer grates to stop street flooding, fill in a few potholes, rake up some leaves, clear some garbage off the median strips on North Street or pick up some of the orange cones and barrels that have been scattered all of the city. Would like to see some of my tax money in productive use. Dream on.

Real quick. Local taxes are mostly regressive taxation. I heard that the commercial tax rate in Pittsfield is one of the highest by population in Massachusetts. Of course, I would support either not raising or even lowering the commercial tax rate in Pittsfield. It is not good for business that that the commercial taxpayers are charged almost double the rate that residential taxpayers are charged by the city government. From what I read, FREE CASH in a municipality should be 3 percent to 5 percent of the fiscal year operating budget. Any FREE CASH above 5 percent is really a SLUSH FUND for the career politicians and their special interests/big campaign donors. Most of the municipal tax rates, budgets and spending are the result of financial shell games between the local and state government in Massachusetts. The people and taxpayers are being played for fools by the corrupt career politicians from Pittsfield to Boston!
