JOE’s PARDON OF SON HUNTER MAKES HUMAN SENSE, BUT ITS THE WORDING THAT’S TROUBLING

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY DEC. 4, 2024) — THE PLANET would have done it, too.

If our son had been convicted of gun and tax crimes, and we could prevent years of prison with a mere signature, we’d sign in less than two seconds. Loving fathers do that for prodigal sons. Check your memory banks under “L” for Luke:15:11-32. Thus when Syracuse Joe Biden granted clemency for son Hunter, THE PLANET applauded.

Actually, Hunter can thank Donald Trump as well as his dad. Trump said that he would pardon Hunter if Joe didn’t. That gave Joe the wiggle room to go back on his earlier pledges NOT to waive the consequences of his son’s convictions. One can also argue that nothing’s to be gained by sending this guy to prison. He’s not going to come out a better man. Just the opposite. Prison will jeopardize his safety and further harden an already damaged character. Moreover, it’s customary for presidents to use executive power to commute prison time through pardons. Trump pardoned 144 people, 115 of those from Dec. 22, 2019 to Jan. 20, 2020, during his last month in office.

THE PLANET does take issue, however ver, with the wording of the pardon. Biden’s grant of clemency contained “blanket” language, preventing Hunter from any future prosecution from all actions beside the gun and tax offenses for the specified period, Jan. 1, 2014 to Dec. 1, 2024.  All of Trump’s pardons were good only for the crimes previously committed. If any of those people had gone on to other wrongdoing and were chanred then convicted for other crimes, they would have faced the “stripey hole.” Not Hunter. He can only face consequences for anything done prior to the 2014 date and after Dec. 1.

The specificity of the dates strongly suggests that Hunter Biden sullied himself in more than just gun and tax matters.

From Betsey Woodruff Swan in politico.com:

Hunter Biden’s pardon looks a lot like Richard Nixon’s.

President Joe Biden’s grant of clemency on Sunday night — an extraordinary political act with extraordinary legal breadth — insulates his son from ever facing federal charges over any crimes he possibly could have committed over the past decade.

Experts on pardons said they could think of only one other person who has received a presidential pardon so sweeping in generations: Nixon, who was given a blanket pardon by Gerald Ford in 1974.

“I have never seen language like this in a pardon document that purports to pardon offenses that have not apparently even been charged, with the exception of the Nixon pardon,” said Margaret Love, who served from 1990 to 1997 as the U.S. pardon attorney, a Justice Department position devoted to assisting the president on clemency issues.

———- ooo ———-

We would not call it “an extraordinary political act.” As stated, presidents issue pardons. Once and future President Trump said during the campaign that he would investigate and prosecute Biden and family. Nothing in the pardon would prevent that. It would only make Hunter immune for the specified dates. Jill Biden, Joe, and other members of the clan would be fair game.

From Swan again:

So rather than merely pardoning his son for the gun crimes for which he was convicted and the tax crimes for which he pleaded guilty, the president’s pardon covers all “offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in” from Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 1, 2024. That language mirrors the language in Ford’s pardon of Nixon, which did not merely cover the Watergate scandal but extended to “all offenses against the United States” that Nixon “has committed or may have committed” between Jan. 20, 1969, and Aug. 9, 1974 — the exact span of Nixon’s presidency.

The starting date of Jan. 1, 2014, in the Biden pardon was surely not chosen randomly: Hunter Biden joined the board of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian gas company, in April 2014, while his father was vice president. Republicans have accused the younger Biden of illegally profiting off his position on that board.

———- ooo ———-

Forgiveness is one of the great human virtues. It not only helps end hate, but it works its best medicine on the person who forgives. One one level, that’s what we have here, but as you dig deeper, it’s not as simple as that. Then again, what in politics ever is?

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong” — Mahatma Gandhi.

Lyin Biden continues his strongest trait. He just can’t help himself and unfortunately this reflects on the party he leads. How can any good Kapanski take anything the Democrats say as being truthful? Why would anyone vote for liars??? My understanding of the criminal code in America was all about rehabilitation of the convict and safety for society. I ask how does this do either?

Forgiveness does not mean turning a blind eye to malevolence.

Dan, I believe that at 60 years old, unbelievably rich, and drunk, Hunter was deprived of an opp. to up his street cred. Jail would have been a boon for him. He’d leave claiming spiritual cleansing, boasting of the tough friends he made, and then he could make a movie starring George Clooney.

I’m thinking the pardon is another wondrous event. Like a Shakespearean villain, the Bidens collapse and all depart the stage forever, forgotten and despised. Their children become sterile and the line extinguishes.

My dollar is on we shan’t ever again hear the name ‘x’ Biden, save for criminal probes. May the history books omit that name to spare young children troubling dreams.

Wondering if Barak and Big Mike will produce the Biden crime family movie for Netflix you mention. They would make millions and the Biden’s would benefit also. All these people can’t help themselves.

Sure. George Clooney plays Hunter. Brad Pitt plays Jill. And there is even a small gun. Made for Hollywood.

What a great idea Sir Chaz, could made the movie here in Bithchfield, housed him on 2nd street for a few months and rolled the dice. 45-47 probably would have pardoned him anyway. And if he didn’t his paintings would sell for millions. But even if he didn’t think of the economic opportunities it could of provided.

Imagine 2 years to do nothing but make prison art. Videos too! He would’ve been a sensation and maybe, just maybe, join the ranks of Warhol.

Now, he’s off to the rubbish bin of failed villains.

Mike Tyson can play Big Mike Obama.

The movie wouldn’t be complete without allowing the viewers to see what really happened when Big Mike arrived home to find Barry and his Chef, Tafari Campbell, “paddleboarding”……naked.

Maybe something like this:

The media wants to spin it that Hunter did all of his crimes because he was a drug addict, but the IRS whistleblowers just said that Hunter was filing fraudulent tax returns years after he was off of drugs.

The crackhead will no longer be able to claim 5th amendment protection if asked to testify since he was granted immunity.

He can be compelled to testify about the Biden Crime Cartel, or face contempt and jailed until he does. I hope the new AG and DOJ do just that. And Joe, Jim, Jill, et al face long overdue criminal charges.

And new charges may be pending, he is $300,000 in the hole on overdue rent in CA.

The crackhead will pull the “I don’t recall or remember” crap during any questioning and blame his drug use for not answering questions.
Things will only come back to his memory when he writes a book or produces a movie to make bank.

Put in prison for contempt will get the pedophile/crackhead, er “prodigal son”, to remember a lot.

There is enough evidence on the laptop to put most of the Biden family in prison.

Go through the whole HD and see what Hunter “remembers”, on the witness stand. Lots of Burisma and dealings with the Chi-Coms and other influence pedaling. Might be close to treason for Joe, Jim, and Jill.

Dan. Please address this. Suspended licensesleft and right from the R M V. There is a new system where out of state infractions we’re relayed to the Massachusetts Weaponized R M V. And they are either suspending your license, fining you an enormous amount and any dui dating as far back as the sixties you are fined again (double jeopardy) ? Even if you’ve had a Clean Record since?

And And hypocritically Democrats Not only want to give illegals free licenses but they’re not vetted, how to hell do we know if they haven’t been arrested 20 times in Mexico or Uganda or wherever the hell they come from. Our legislators should be taken to task. Add the suspension but cruel and unusual punishment by suspending good drivers who’ve already payed fines?…

The White House’s lawfare argument versus Donald Trump was that Hunter Biden faced federal charges too, and that Joe Biden promised NOT to PARDON his scoundrel son. Hmmm.

I think China Joe (Jill) Xiden did this not only to save his own (The Big Guy) and Hunter’s a$$ from the incoming Trump DOJ, but also as one last F**K Y*U to Bathhouse Barry Obama, Nanci “The stock trading wiz” Pelosi, and the entire democRAT party.

It’s fun watching Chuckie Schumer and the rest of the democRATS squirm.

JUST IN: Schumer Asked Point Blank About Biden Pardoning His Son Hunter

Didn’t Chuckie, Mittens Romney, and the ayatollah John Kerry’s kids, all work with Hunter at Burisma?

Panic is setting in and the Red Wave hasn’t even begun.

I completely disagree with your opinion on the pardoning of Hunter.

First of all, the Biblical reference from Luke re: the prodigal son bears no resemblance to the current issue of Hunter. The prodigal son repented of his errors. There has been no public repentance from Hunter. No effort to make right the wrongs Hunter continues to commit.

Secondly, Hunter was pardoned to protect the Biden Family Crime Syndicate and to shield Obama’s crimes in Ukraine.

Thirdly, a father who loves his son would allow the son to accept the punishment for his misbehavior. A good father disciplines his son. “He that spareth his rod hateth his son; but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.” – Proverbs 13:24.

Mr F-,

What did The Bible have to say about the 78-year-old Orange Jesus who cheated on all 3 of his wives, paid hush money to a porn star and Playboy model alike, was caught on an open mic saying that he likes to grab women by their genitals, has 5 children by 3 women partners, picked a V.P. J.D.V. who once called him “America’s HITLER”, is backed by white nationalist extremist groups, had/has Neo-Nazi’s work for his campaigns and administration(s), uses inappropriate language that sometimes sounds similar to Adolf Hitler’s words, mocks the disabled, disavows climate change science and public policies, appoints right-wingers who authored the authoritarian platform called “Project 2025”, refuses to release his federal tax returns (allegedly because he doesn’t pay taxes), added a little less than $8 billion to the U.S. national debt in his 1st term, and probably will add a similar fiscal figure in his upcoming 2nd term, declared multiple business bankruptcies, promises RETRIBUTION against “the enemies within”, believes that everyone should show him absolute loyalty, and never admits to his alleged wrongdoings, nor does he ever apologize for his actions?

I agree with you that Hunter Biden was NOT worthy of a PARDON from his elderly father, who previously said all year long that he wouldn’t do so, but Donald Trump does NOT belong in The White House, again.

What about you JM, the true “Moral Hypocrite.”

Does “You shall not covet,” ring any bells JM?

If not, that means another man’s wife.

*You called at the time, a married woman, Tricia Farley-Country Buffet (d-illegal aliens), “the lovely,” until she blocked your stalker-like emails.

*After that, undeterred to find another man’s wife “lovely,” you set your sights on Linda “Flat” Tyer.

This began a 5+ year infatuation with her, so much so, that in a fit of jealousy you routinely bring up the location of where she lives, the cost of her home. and how much wealth she and her husband, Dirty Barry Clairmont, have accumulated.

Care to explain JM?

My explanation of my own moral hypocrisies is that I am happy for the lovely Linda Tyer and her 3rd husband Barry Clairmont. I hope that Tricia Farley-Bouvier and her family may heal from her divorce from her ex-husband. Lastly, I hope that “Luciforo” will rot in Hell for eternity because he is a mean-spirited Son of a BITCH-field!

P.S. I wish for someone special someday who will call me their “Hunky Love Bug”!

Many of us have gone through what Biden has faced with his son. There is a difference though. Most of the time our kids have gotten burned and spanked and that was the end of it. Biden is different. His son is photographed naked, not as a young man, but as a 40- and 50-year-old man, and he’s photographed with 20- and 30-year-old female prostitutes. He’s not a kid. He’s a bum. The fact the president of the United States pardoned him is understandable because he is his son But look now. His son is a bum and should not be forgiven by the US public. He has tried to look normal when his father became president, but he is still a bum.. .

With all due respect, I disagree with planet on forgiveness of Hunter Biden.
There are many more potential lawsuits against him…
Director or CEO of Ukrainian Energy company Burisma –100% pure and disgusting CORRUPTION case as Hunter got Millions “working” on that position.
Hunter Biden spoke no Ukrainian and got ZERO education, experience or even simple clue about Energy sector in Ukraine. He got $$$ for being daddy’s son with all doors in Washington opened for Burisma Energy. He was Ukrainian un-registered agent+ corruption + violations of dozen of International Trade and Business Laws+ finally screwing Ukrainian Energy market. Basically, pardon said –Biden family works like a mafia and above the Law. It was lowest of the low–dirty, arrogant CORRUPTION.
