(PITTSFIELD, Mass., July 19, 2011, Game of July 18) —  The Pittsfield Colonials and Quebec Capitales saw both of their starting pitchers toss phenomenal ball throughout their Monday night contest in the Capitales’ 2-0 win.

The Capitales got a pair of runs in the fifth inning on a throwing error and a Ben Gorang single, which scored Patrick D’Aoust and Jeff Helps for a 2-0 Quebec lead.

Those turned out to be the only two runs of the game, as both starting pitchers were fantastic. Bryan Rembisz (5-1) pitched eight shutout innings for Quebec on the day, allowing just two hits. Dan Sausville tossed a perfect ninth for his first save.

David Qualben (3-4) matched Rembisz nearly pitch for pitch. He allowed 10 hits and just two runs, only one earned, going all nine innings.

The third game of the series is a day game, slated for a 12:30 p.m. first pitch on Tuesday from Wahconah Park. Miguel Flores (1-5, 4.02) will get the start for Pittsfield against Matt Rusch (3-4, 3.22) for the Capitales. For tickets or information visit pittsfieldcolonials.com or call (413)-236-2961.
