PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

ED. NOTE: Tune in tomorrow night to PLANET VALENTI TELEVISION as we premiere our third documentary/mockumentary on life in Pittsfield. Our new film is called SANITY MADE SIMPLE. Premier is 7 p.m. tomorrow on Access Pittsfield, Ch. 16. Following its debut, our techies will post it to YouTube, where you can see our second feature: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzflpEb_zQQ

——– 000 ——–

FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY, AUG. 11, 2015) — Alvin the Chipmunk, also known as Sen. Ed Markey, visited Podunk Monday to tour the city’s “economic development sites.”

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before.

With Mayor Lockdown, ever-expanding state rep. Tricia Faraway-Boo-Boo-Michelin-Tireman, Ward 3 councilor Nick Nobody, and various other bum kissers in tow, Markey went to The Common, where the city spent an uncommon $5 million in taxpayer money to leave the crabgrass and stubble alone.

Markey mumbled robotic words about “creating an educational dynamic,” after which he ran out of walnuts. The state rep promptly put on a set of knee pads.

Mayor Lockdown talked about “pathways,” which Alvin called “a great concept,” adding that “the execution also is happening in a profound way.” That latter remark must have been a reference to one of the recent murders, shootings, stabbings, robberies, and mayhem making the city such fun for citizens this summer.

Of course, The Boring Broadsheet provided fawning coverage. Their lickspittle story ended with the words “downtown Streetscape” and “the new Hotel on North,” an ejaculation of ecstasy in ink.

Going with the Flow

Some things are beyond  protest’s saving.

From a wire-service report:

The night before she was set to run her very first marathon, Kiran Gandhi got her period. After a year of training, she refused to miss the momentous moment because of biology. She had two choices: She could either run the 26.2 miles with a tampon, or she could bleed freely. She chose the latter.

Gandhi went without a tampon during the London Marathon in April in an effort to fight period-shaming and to take a stand for women around the globe who don’t have access to menstruation products or who have to “hide [their period] away like it doesn’t exist.”

Look, THE PLANET loves “going with the flow” and all that, but, honey, we know “it” exists. Next time you run a marathon, be prepared.

————————————————————————————————-

Trumping Megyn

Which brings us to The Donald.  Debate panelist Megyn Kelly obviously wasn’t interested in eliciting substance from the business typhoon, and the following day Trump wasn’t hesitant about firing back.

Trump said Kelly “had blood coming out her eyes, blood coming out of her whatever.” An internet firestorm ensued, showing how that veneering tool has completely replaced any chance of serious dialogue and discussion with a distracting side-show of political correctness. Trump was spot-on in decrying the logic-defying PC that has carried the day. And he did one better.

To those insisting that he apologize to Kelly, who is more eye candy than journalist, Trump turned the tables.

“She really should be apologizing to me, [if] you want to know the truth.”

Trump for President.

———————————————————————————————————-

‘Black Lives Matter’ and Other Excuses to Fire on Cops

It was a harsh truth, certainly, in Ferguson, Mo., where we got another taste of “black lives matter” when an 18-year-old male of color opened fire on police guarding demonstrators marking the fatal shooting of Michael Brown a year ago.

The alleged shooter’s dad said his son, Tyrone Harris Jr., and Brown “were real close.”

Great way to show your loyalty. Pull out your loaded gun and fire at the police.

From AP: Three hours after the police-involved shooting, two more teens were wounded in an apparent drive-by shooting as they walked near a memorial honoring Brown.

The unrest prompted officials to place St. Louis County in an immediate state of emergency. The order puts St. Louis County police Chief John Belmar in command over all police emergency management in Ferguson and surrounding areas.

“Chief Belmar shall exercise all powers and duties necessary to preserve order, prevent crimes, and protect the life and property of our citizens,” County Executive Steve Stenger wrote.

A beleaguered-looking Belmar learned of the drive-by shooting moments before briefing reporters on why his officers shot Harris.

There is a “small group of people out there that are intent on making sure we don’t have peace that prevails,” the chief said. “We can’t sustain this as a community.”

A pandering political visit to Podunk … a menstrual protest … political correctness run amok … thugs for whom no lives matter —

How much would it take, God, to tilt the earth off its axis and end the misery?  We know you love collateral damage.

Some of the questions that Megyn Kelly asked Trump were not about the critical issues we are facing. Repeating terrible names that he has supposedly called women does nothing to help Americans. Megyn even said things about Rubio and Walker that both denied they had ever said. Not sure why she wanted to just repeat gossip instead of staying focused on the issues.

I like Trump, but I also like Ted Cruz. I think Ted Cruz would keep his promise to act like a Republican once he gets in office instead of acting like a progressive. Marco Rubio is also an interesting candidate and I liked a lot of what he said. I think that Ben Carson would make a good vice-president.

Donald Trump is truly thee best candidate out there.
The guy is on fire.
He is more popular than all other Republican candidates and Hillary put together. Not since Reagan has a candiate been so popular. If the election where held today he would win by a landslide not seen in modern politics.

People don’t care about political correctness. People find it refreshing to hear a candidate tell the truth. People are sick and tired of lie after lie after lies year after year.
Trump is a true patriot who truly cares about this country.

He is not the chosen one however. The GOP does not want him. Just ignoring him like they did to Ron Paul is not working this time around. An intervention may be coming in the likes of what was done to Bobby Kennedy. The fake two party system is rigged. The ruling elite wants Trump out of the way at all costs.

Trump stands in the way of ushering in the new world order. Trumps very life is most likely in danger.
Its not about what the people want but rather about what big money, the banks, special interests and Israel wants.

This kid has a lot of guts for sure in Ferguson Lexi Kozhevsky took to the streets last night as demonstrations continued to mark the one-year anniversary of Michael Brown’s death.
She was seen standing alone in front of dozens of police wearing body armour, facing protesters.

Pat,
Rubio supports amnesty for illegals and therefore I cannot support him in his run for President. Illegal immigration is a huge issue – as our rulers have chosen to ignore the immigration laws already in place. I believe our current mayor has also publicly stated his intent to ignore law in this matter.Trump is a breath of fresh air! I love the way he challenged Ms. Kelly – that was the best debate I have ever watched.

Donald Trump certainly is The Entertainer of the Year. A surge that is refreshing to many….fatigued and worn down by empty promises, and in general …let down by their Government. It has been interesting to watch…until the Big Show shapes up.

Ted Cruz follows conservative principles regarding immigration. I’m not sure that Rubio is as lenient as you think on illegal immigration. I will need to do more research on that.

If Kiran Gandhi ever runs for mayor anywhere my guess is that she will never get the nickname Lockdown.
And I don’t think she worries too much about political correctness either.
But if she really likes to see blood flow she should come to Pittsfield and visit the west side.

too soon?

I read about Kiran over the weekend. She opted to not use a tampon because she thought it would be uncomfortable to run while using one. I have to believe that the chafing cause by wearing increasingly damp running shorts far surpassed that.

It’s amazing that women through the millennia have figured out how to deal with it. There seem to be far more pressing concerns like basic survival.

Most people posting on various on line forums which posted the story thought she was off base.

santanio you do not know ron like i do. he was throwing a barb– but must agree with your interpretation of it– it was kind of funny but let me repeat– you do not know ron like i do. santanio–do you agree with anything trump has to say? let me make a comment–he is saying what the american people have been thinking but have been too afraid to say because of fear –big brother in a way he is like me –i have been saying what many wished they could say including many on this site who have admitted they are fearful of the gob in pittsfield and that is why most dont go as far as i do in calling high level officials on the carpet. you see santanio– trump and i are in our twilight years and have both been very very successful in our lifes work and either of us could sail off into the sun set without a worry in the world but you see money to him nor me– means that much and we will forgo the retirement which we will never have like many of you out there will have because retirement would kill him and me. we are doers and we both see huge problems in our country. he is far more accomplished than me and has the balls to try to change our country and i have the balls to try to change our city. be assured we both are cut from the same cloth– he is trying to help the helpless in america and i am trying to help the helpless in our city–the taxpayer. now can anyone with half a brain throw a stone at either of us?? we are trying to help not hurt the country or the city respectively is there something wrong in what we are trying to do??if there is will someone please post?—craig

The Payroll Patriot was locked down by mayoral candidate CRAIG bianchi (…you deserve no more of my precious time …)PV blog 8/11. The physiological profiles are the same for CRAIG bianchi and Dan Bianchi. Attack those that ask questions on where do you stand? Nasty responses to say the least. CRAIG are you going to do that to private citizens when YOU’RE not elected? YOU already have the ego of the elected ones. According to the U.S. patent office, YOU don’t have any.

PS: The last time the PPD had boots on the ground two full clips of 9mm ammo was used to kill two wild turkeys (birds) on West Housatonic St. I think they were Tom and Edith or Laverne and Shirley.

cat–i am against the pipeline but you must be aware that there are two proposed pipelines.the environmental damage from laying the pipeline can be absorbed if the use existing trails along many existing electricak lines .the real danger is when they come adjacent to protected areas such as the citys water supplies even that can be mitigated but the real reasoni am against it todayis the fact that by the time the pipeline project is completed we will be in a very different circumstance than we are at present..with fossil fuels selling as cheap as they are now this will have a devasting effect on the cost of fossil fuels in the direct period of time when gas and oils price shoots thru the roof again which is a deffinite in the next 3-4 years. one must realize that our combined fossil fuel known quanties will only be available for 70-100 years before they are completely depleted globally so if we only think me and dont think we it could be all over for humans world wide because most of the world depends on these fuels before then we must think nuclear and as fast as possibledusty i am so tired i will finish this tomorrow—craig

cat–i am continuing my post –if anyone of us could live another 100 years from today you will see that the world standard for energy will be nuclear. building nuc. plants are very expensive but when you consider the power they can supply at a very low cost it really is the only way to go for we who definitely need energy to run every thing. at present the # of human beings alive who have been negatively impacted by nuclear power plants is so negligible as a % of the worlds population that it is a insignificant figure. one airplane crash will impact the lives of human beings more than the # of people affected by any nuclear problem. the only losers from building nuc. plants are the oil companies. as they will be driven out of business over night. now if you want to see who has been damaged by the oil companies just look around. those of you who are intelligent dont need me to tell you and the others wouldnt get it if i described it in full detail.does this answer your question satisfactorilly cat—–craig—craig?
