TRUMP TOOK ‘THEM’ TO THE CLEANERS, & TODAY THE WORLD WITNESSES THE STUNNING RESULT — CONGRATULATIONS, MR. PRESIDENT

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, THE WEEKEND EDITION, JAN. 20-22, 2017) — THE PLANET supported the bid of Donald Trump for president primarily because he wasn’t one of “Them.”

Film buffs may recall a film of that name from the early 1950s, with James Arness, James Whitmore, and a little known walk-on named Fess Parker. The first went on to clean up Dodge City. The last died defending Walt Disney at the studio Alamo.

Them of the film were giant ants mutated from atomic fallout, a common sci-fi theme of the time, barely a disguise for the world’s justified paranoia from the nuclear aspects of the Cold War. “Them” in THE PLANET‘s use refers to Establishment politicians, the slick bullshit artists of an oxymoronic “unpopular mandate” who make a fine living by burying ordinary Americans.

Trump began in a field of 17 seeking the GOP nod. It included flotsam with no chance and jetsam with a chance only if the other 16 died in a group hug.  Washington insiders and Mainstream Media loved Trump’s involvement. They thought it would be good for a few laughs until the Establishment’s coronated Big Three — Kasich, Rubio, Bush — clawed it out for the nomination. Everyone got the memo but Trump. One by one, like the murderer in an Agatha (not Chris) Christie mystery, he picked them off. Suddenly the GOP oligarchs weren’t laughing.

The Democrats, on the other hand, made sure to screw a resonant Bernie Sanders out of a nomination that was his to win, as the leaked Democratic National Committee e-mails revealed (thank you Julian Assange and Wikileaks). Hillary Clinton‘s goons paid Sanders a private visit. Next thing you know, Bernie, feeling the burn, dropped out, endorsed Hillary, and wound up with an expensive sports car and a $600,000 cabin on a Vermont Lake. Not that Bernie was bought off, mind you.

The jackasses on the left loved the matchup: Ma Barker versus a buffoon. Funny thing, though. Trump, spending a fraction of Clinton’s total, ran a brilliant campaign, one that vaporized the Establishment playbook. He was an IPhone 7+ cell. Hillary was rotary dial landline. He was Twitter. She was newsprint. He was time travel. She was a Currier & Ives wall calendar.

The Dems’ internal polling just before mid-October told them they were in trouble. Just about that time, coincidentally, state Democratic committees began organizing Plan B protests in the likely event that — ulp! — their female saint lost to a con man. State “Bosses” got on the blowers to local saps, as we saw in Pittsfield. They gave the word: Begin organizing protests for and around Inauguration Day. If we lose, we will do so sorely. “Eff” the orderly transition of power.

Come on down, Frank Farkas. Come on down Dennis Powell. On Oct. 12, Amos, Andy, on behalf of the local liberal loons (eternities such as Judy Williamson and Peter Marchetti) filled out the permit for the “Four Freedoms” rally. Good little Schicklgrubers. While the sourpusses were graping with their pink pussyhats askew, the con man rose to the occasion.

Donald Trump stayed true to himself. He didn’t lose his nerve, as Newt Gingrich feared. Rather, he poured it on stronger, taking on an overrated actress, a politically senile civil rights “icon,” the intelligence community, an outgoing president, and the rest of hidebound Washington, D.C.

Trump promised wonders and spit cucumbers pertaining to his first 100 days:

  • A constitutional amendment imposing congressional term limits
  • pulling out of bad trade deals
  • canceling Obamacare
  • Amping up border security
  • Rolling back restrictive energy regs that kill jobs and limit production
  • Passing an Infrastructure Act

Even The Flash couldn’t pull all that off in 100 days, but that’s not the point. The main takeaway is that President Trump will not be business as usual. He’s going to steamroll the status quo. It’s what America needs if it is to have a realistic chance of reclaiming its rightful place among nations.

THE PLANET congratulates President Trump with this verse:

——– 000 ——–

’tis strange The Donald should his talents employ

To win the office his riches can never enjoy.

It is less strange that a billionaire should waste

His wealth to eschew what he can never taste.

Not for himself he see or hears or eats.

Leaders choose their actions, measures, and meats.

——– 000 ——–

With that, we open The Comment Line. Also, be sure to check out the print version of PLANET VALENTI, now each week in the county’s best local weekly, The Berkshire Courier. Have a great weekend everybody.

Excellent article Dan. I’m really looking forward to the congressional term limits. Boston really needs to be cleaned out too. They just rewarded themselves with big raises. Term limits on all politicians!!!!

I watched the concert tonight in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. It was so good. I couldn’t stop dancing in my living room to the great music. Nobody Hollywood was there, but it didn’t matter. It was still great.

Progressives are supposedly so worried about Russia, but need to look at the behavior of the extremists on their own side who insist that everyone act just like them, think just like them, and get violent if others refuse to believe in their ideology. Having people with this type of intolerance in a position of power would be like living in a communist country.

To further your thought.

Forgive me if I’m wrong but didn’t the Russians warn us repeatedly about the Boston Marathon bombers?

Ever wonder how many other things they’ve offered their assistance with in the last 28 years?
Reagan was the last president to have successful and beneficial the United States negotiations with the Russians.

There is no doubt Trump is the person so many American men thought they could be.The frustration of that dream white rich life saying and doing anything we want not met we will now go to bed every night at least knowing the last face we see every night on the Fox is not a woman or a person of color and we dream of going back in time to a day that America was great when we dreamed of being him white rich and male.Today we have a chance to dream again a do over or a life mulligan.

I watched the concert last night and saw African American people so excited taking pictures of Donald Trump. In fact I saw all races not only watching the concert, but also participating. The left needs to stop promoting Donald Trump’s win as being all about white people, a race they obviously do not like, because the downtrodden in this country who need help are far from being all white people.

So in theory, if Trump does bring jobs back to the US. Companies have to pay employees more, give benefits, etc. This is going to be a huge cost.
So yeah, we’ll have people working in factories, making money, but now the companies are going to have to raise the price of the product. Which then the employees can’t afford because they’re making minimum wage.
Starts the process all over.

But Trump fans will never admit this, it will still be the liberal fault.

Remember of dollars spent in Massachusetts 16 times has been entirely eaten by our state government. It used to be we got to spend each dollar 20 times before the state took all the equity out of it. Add to that real estate income excise fuel cigarette alcohol and the rest of the taxes our effective tax rate is approximately 70%.

Donald Trump is a fascist! He is going to shut down freedom of the press. He is going to take away our Constitutional Rights and Liberties in the name of big government. He is going to kiss Putin’s rear end. He is going to continue to use HATE speech against many minority groups, especially Muslims and Mexicans. Donald Trump is going to build a wall along the U.S. and Mexican border. Donald Trump compared our nation’s Intelligence Officials to Nazi Germany. Donald Trump is going to start trade wars. Donald Trump is going to cut taxes for the wealthy. Donald Trump is going to grow our national debt. Donald Trump = Adolf Hitler!

NEVER! I come from the Human Rights school of politics. My place in politics is to be a voice for the voiceless! Those without rights or power, they all have rights or power under my leadership. I represent the most disadvantaged people in our society! I am for the homeless, the underclass, the bullied, the friendless, and the good that exists in everyone’s heart. I despise anyone who believes they are superior to “other” people because of their class and status. I will never be a top-down, corrupt, insider big government or big business bureaucrat. I would never be a lobbyist for K Street’s corporate elite. I need to sleep at night. I will always speak my good conscience as long as I live. I want the powerful to legally and legitimately fear people like me who stand for Human Rights for ALL people and peoples. I hope that my character and leadership will stand in sharp contrast to the fascist 45th U.S. President Donald Trump!

Since Trump is not “your President,” does that mean your are not going to accept your government handout (disability, food stamps, and any other federal benefit you get)? Don’t be a hypocrite, and stay on the public (federal) dole. You really want to “stick it” to Trump? Get a job and work for a living.

Torch,
I do work for a living. In fact, I’m college educated and work in the private sector. Now to get to the point, I never posted that Obama wasn’t my president. He was. Did I think he did a good job? No, but he was still my president. Jonathan is claiming President Trump is not his president. Well, than he should quit taking his federally-funded (i.e.-taxpayer paid) handouts. Especially since he doesn’t recognize this president.

Now Torch, I know you and I generally don’t see eye to eye on any issues. And I know you democRATS need to stick together. But I always considered you one of the more educated posters on here. Now I’ll let you go. You and Jonathan can go plan a peace march, a re-re-elect Hillary Clinton rally, or whatever you “hard-working,” liberals do.

Transcript of President Donald J Trump’s Inaugural Address

“Chief Justice Roberts, President Carter, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, fellow Americans and people of the world, thank you.

We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and restore its promise for all of our people.

Together, we will determine the course of America and the world for many, many years to come. We will face challenges. We will confront hardships. But we will get the job done.

Every four years we gather on these steps to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer of power.

And we are grateful to President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama for their gracious aid throughout this transition.

They have been magnificent.

Thank you.

Today’s ceremony, however, has a very special meaning because today we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another or from one party to another, but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the people.

For too long, a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have bore the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered but the jobs left and the factories closed.

The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories. Their triumphs have not been your triumphs. And while they celebrated in our nation’s capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.

That all changes starting right here and right now, because this moment is your moment.

It belongs to you.

It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America.

This is your day.

This is your celebration.

And this, the United States of America, is your country.

What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people.

January 20th, 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.

The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer. Everyone is listening to you now. You came by the tens of millions to become part of a historic movement, the likes of which the world has never seen before.

At the center of this movement is a crucial conviction that a nation exists to serve its citizens. Americans want great schools for their children, safe neighborhoods for their families and good jobs for themselves.

These are just and reasonable demands of righteous people and a righteous public.

But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists.

Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities, rusted out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation.

An education system flush with cash but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of all knowledge.

And the crime and the gangs and the drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential. This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.

We are one nation, and their pain is our pain.

Their dreams are our dreams, and their success will be our success. We share one heart, one home and one glorious destiny.

The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans.

For many decades we’ve enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry, subsidized the armies of other countries while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military.

We’ve defended other nations’ borders while refusing to defend our own. And we’ve spent trillions and trillions of dollars overseas while America’s infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay.

We’ve made other countries rich while the wealth, strength and confidence of our country has dissipated over the horizon.

One by one, the factories shuttered and left our shores with not even a thought about the millions and millions of American workers that were left behind.

The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes and then redistributed all across the world. But that is the past, and now we are looking only to the future.

We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital and in every hall of power. From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land.

From this day forward, it’s going to be only America first, America first. Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs will be made to benefit American workers and American families. We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our product, stealing our companies and destroying our jobs.

Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength. I will fight for you with every breath in my body, and I will never ever let you down.

America will start winning again, winning like never before.

We will bring back our jobs.

We will bring back our borders.

We will bring back our wealth, and we will bring back our dreams.

We will build new roads and highways and bridges and airports and tunnels and railways all across our wonderful nation.

We will get our people off of welfare and back to work, rebuilding our country with American hands and American labor.

We will follow two simple rules: Buy American and hire American.

We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world, but we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all nations to put their own interests first.

We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example.

We will shine for everyone to follow.

We will re-enforce old alliances and form new ones and unite the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of the earth.

At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country we will rediscover our loyalty to each other.

When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.

The Bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity. We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity. When America is united, America is totally unstoppable. There should be no fear. We are protected and we will always be protected. We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement. And most importantly, we will be protected by God.

Finally, we must think big and dream even bigger. In America, we understand that a nation is only living as long as it is striving. We will no longer accept politicians who are all talk and no action, constantly complaining but never doing anything about it.

The time for empty talk is over. Now arrives the hour of action.

Do not allow anyone to tell you that it cannot be done. No challenge can match the heart and fight and spirit of America. We will not fail. Our country will thrive and prosper again.

We stand at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the mysteries of space, to free the earth from the miseries of disease, and to harness the energies, industries and technologies of tomorrow.

A new national pride will stir ourselves, lift our sights and heal our divisions. It’s time to remember that old wisdom our soldiers will never forget, that whether we are black or brown or white, we all bleed the same red blood of patriots.

We all enjoy the same glorious freedoms and we all salute the same great American flag.

And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of Detroit or the windswept plains of Nebraska, they look up at the same night sky, they fill their heart with the same dreams and they are infused with the breath of life by the same almighty creator.

So to all Americans in every city near and far, small and large, from mountain to mountain, from ocean to ocean, hear these words: You will never be ignored again. Your voice, your hopes and your dreams will define our American destiny. And your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way.

Together we will make America strong again, we will make America wealthy again, we will make America proud again, we will make America safe again.

And, yes, together we will make America great again.

Thank you.

God bless you.

And God bless America.”

“[This is] an amazing opportunity for Pittsfield to once again became a welcoming community for refugees,” Stein said.

The organization had its first meeting with local stakeholders last July. Since then, the community has largely responded with overwhelming support for the program, Stein said.

“Acts of violence perpetrated on the Syrian people are incomprehensible to those of us who live in a protected and secure nation,” Pittsfield Mayor Linda Tyer said in a statement. “I believe strongly, both personally and professionally, in our obligation to respond to this humanitarian crisis. And, I am committed to ensuring that the citizens of Pittsfield have ample opportunity to learn more about this endeavor and to providing a welcoming environment to those from Syria who we may someday call friend and neighbor.”

State Rep. Tricia Farley-Bouvier, D-Pittsfield, also expressed support for the project.

“The people of Pittsfield have made it clear that they [are] eager to open their hearts and welcome new neighbors to our community,” she said in a press release.

Just look to Europe and specifically France and Germany to see the results of taking in refugees from these dangerous parts of the world especially since ISIS has promised to infiltrate the refugees with radicalized individuals. It’s not a laughing matter to them nor should we take this situation lightly or we will regret it.

The Berkshire Eagle keeps running articles on immigrants to convince people that America has always taken in people from other countries so why worry now. Big difference is that these are refugees who don’t really want to be here and could be radicalized not immigrants who come here willingly.

I am far more nervous about the white supremacists like Dylann Roof who have became radicalised by the alt-reich.

…and you are scared of a few Syrians in Pittsfield?

Oh, it won’t be a FEW Syrians if the progressives have their way. They want to bring in many. I’m sure they are thinking of potential votes from them in the future. Very few Americans who voted for Trump, if any, have anything to do with this so called ALT right movement. They are all about the jobs and security for the country. Only the progressives have been turning to violence when they don’t get the results they want.

Like Pat, I, too laughed at all the Berk.Eagle stories of successful immigrants to our city. They are trying to brainwash us before they arrive so as not to worry .

Most of us are very aware of the dangers in bringing in refugees from Syria. They are not going to be Christian Syrians (the ones being persecuted) but Muslims bringing their Sharia law with them.

As I said, this is a dangerous situation. And I will not be surprised if all does not go well.

Tyer and Bouvier both have good sized homes. I think each could accommodate at least one family. Pete White and Krol could as well.

That’s the thing with progressives they talk the talk but seldom walk the walk. Instead they make all of these decisions for the rest of us that could be potentially dangerous while they hole up in gated communities where they are protected thanks to their large incomes.

You left out the part about how they will hire 3, open an office, and of course keep the salaries funded for many other do-gooders who do no work; these are psychopaths who not only steal, but also who don’t care if people die if it means they make money

Saw a little of the Pussy Hat march, one sign read still with Hill. How could any woman support someone who is married to a sexual predator. We’re talking multiple offenses, going back decades. The fact that she didn’t divorce him, shows her lack of integrity, and her disregard for all women.

But Hill staying with Bill is so offensive to all women. We need to put together a march on this issue. Anyone game? We will call it Freedom for All Women from Husbands Who Can’t Stop Cheating. They will show up in the millions in solidarity. CNN and MSNBC will be over the top with excitement.

You have to admit, President Trump’s wife is a real beauty. Guess if we can forgive him for his nonsense and he doesn’t say something really vulgar, give him a chance but to many dynamic’s working against him, angry Americans don’t want a King, they want a Apresident, thus far he has acted childlike…something going on with that?.,.. aside..if you think the media was bias during the campaign watch what happens now.

Actually I did participate in a march. It was a very well attended march in a state I don’t live in, but Trump won. It was well attended and everyone seemed gracious. I didn’t plan to do it, but it seemed like the correct thing to do in that moment.

I don’t know what a ‘cluck’ is, but I’m guessing it’s some old geezer term like the rest of your malarkey.

Another cover up by the pittsfield police department..the victim of the hit and run accident on robbins ave was reported to be in b.m.c with life threatening injuries. It was later reported that he succumbed to his injuries the next day.the Truth was he laid dead on the side of robbins ave. For two hours until the medical examiner came to pick up the body..PITTSFIELD IS A DIRTY LITTLE TOWN..

Big open house at Taconic high school to show off all it has to offer. It apparently has so much to offer that they are going to tear it down. Kind of a mixed message if you ask me.

by the way I was watching all the huge protests around the country and could not help envisioning such a thing in front of the Pittsfield city hall with the crowds spilling out and shutting down North street and the loop around park square. If any government body deserves a huge protest it is the one in Pittsfield, Ma.

A march in Pittsfield against Pittsfield government would be the last thing to happen here because the majority of these local people who marched here and in Washington are members of the progressive elite. They aren’t going to march against their own sacred local government that has been so good to THEM. The poor overtaxed middle class who have been shown no concern by our local and state government are the ones who need to take to the streets. With the progressives in charge, government has only been working for half of the people.

Be careful out there. Pittsfield Drivers are the worst. time to clamp down Mayor. And add better lighting in the Streets, Elm Street for instance, at night you cannot see a pedestrian walking in some spots.

Pittsfield streets are very dark. I encountered 2 pedestrians several feet from one another, dressed in dark clothing, and both jaywalking. It scared the crap out of me.

What would happen if the downtrodden middle class here in Pittsfield marched on city hall and did what Madonna did during the so-called peaceful women’s march yesterday? Madonna said blowing up the White House had been considered by her followers, but it wouldn’t do any good. We are to assume I guess that if blowing up the White House did do some good for the progressive cause, then the loss of human life would be justified. what would happen, do you think, if local middle class voters here in the city said the same terrible thing about Pittsfield city hall? Would progressives be outraged? Would local marchers receive death threats?
