“It turns out that the person who reported the video to the health department was none other than Earl Persip,” our source tells us. “While it is not exactly clear what the motive was behind his infamous Andrea Harrington lawn sign dump a few years back [a.k.a. the famous Dumpster Behind Paul Rich] it’s pretty clear that he has a motive on this one. Having Yuki drop out of the at-large race would clearly solidify his position at least as the number-three vote getter.”
Source says Peter Marchetti, Peter White, and Persip “never really liked Yuki from the beginning. They would love nothing more but to shed her from the council.”
THE PLANET ran this theory by Persip.
“I received the videos from multiple residents and was asked to report the violation to the health department,” Earl told THE PLANET, “so I sent the videos along to [Health] Director Armstrong with the following note: ‘I have been asked by a resident to share these videos from this past week at the bar.’
“It’s my understanding the DPH had already seen at least one video and gave Councilor Cohen a warning,” Persip said. “The people who asked me to report on their behalf were afraid of retaliation, as it’s clear reports are not handled with discretion.”
Persip said the videos were “widely circulated, and sharing them with the DPH has nothing to do with the upcoming election. I take my job as a councilor seriously, and it’s my job to serve the residents. Ignoring these videos and requests was not an option. As I explained to Councilor Cohen, this was not personal. She was aware she was being photographed, and I was following through on a request from a resident. The disregard for COVID safety that puts our community at risk should be the focus here.”

CONNELL: CELL PHONE TOWER SITUATION ‘BAFFLES ME‘
Speaking of the council agenda, Ward 4 councilor Chris Connell sent the following note to Gina Armstrong concerning the cell phone tower off of upper Holmes Road:
Gina, I do not see on the council agenda a response from the board of health concerning the investigation of the health concerns being reported by residents living near the cell tower. I thought we were very clear that we wanted a response back at the next council meeting. Please advise. Thanks Chris Connell ward 4 councilor.
THE PLANET heard from Connell that Armstrong “finally got back to me and apologized for missing the posting for the council agenda. She offered to send to the council an e-mail with the board of health’s response. I told her that it has to be brought back to the council in an open forum for the sake of the residents. This whole situation baffles me. It really seems like they either don’t care or are just hoping that if they delay long enough the situation will go away.”
Armstrong told THE PLANET that “the Pittsfield BOH addressed this topic at its meeting on 4/12. Unfortunately, I didn’t make the deadline for submitting an update on the BOH’s actions for the 4/27 City Council agenda. Instead, an update was sent via email to City councilors yesterday. Discussion will continue at the next BOH meeting.”

Hello City Councilors,
My apologies for missing the deadline to submit an update for the City Council agenda. I’d like to provide you with a summary of actions that have been taken to address the South St cell tower health concerns since Council Kavey and Connell’s petition was discussed at City Council on March 23rd.
The Board of Health convened on April 12th; the Board heard public comments from several Pittsfield residents on this issue and after discussion, decided on the following action steps:
- To write a letter to our local legislators, MDPH and the Governor’s office to advocate support for Senate Bill No. 2418 – to form a special commission to research the impact of EMR and RFR on consumer protection, public health, and technology in the Commonwealth.
- To invite representatives from MDPH, Bureau of Environmental Toxicology to attend the next BOH meeting (on or around May 5th) to present information on EMR. The Board announced that residents can send specific questions and concerns that they would like addressed to the Pittsfield Health Department (brozon@cityofpittsfield.org) in advance of the meeting.
- As per prior discussion with the Environmental Toxicology Program, the Board advised residents that believe they have health concerns associated with cell tower EMR to contact the MDPH Env. Toxicology program directly at 617-624-5757 for one-on-one discussion.
- The Board chair encouraged people that called into the meeting to send information on this topic to the Pittsfield Health Department (brozon@cityofpittsfield.org).
Following the BOH meeting, we received several emails with reference materials and reports that were forwarded to all BOH members to review in advance of the next BOH meeting.
On April 16th BOH Chair Dr. Kulberg, and Gina Armstrong held Zoom conferences with representatives of the Environmental Toxicology program and on April 22nd with Alan Woolf, MD, Director, Pediatric Environmental Health Center, Boston Children’s Hospital. Received additional resource documents and guidance to inform planning for additional action steps.
The next meeting of the BOH on Wed. May 5th will have a continuation of the topic.

Joe Biden is going to give a national speech on Capitol Hill tonight (April 28th, 2021) to sell his tax hike proposal on the wealthy, while he continues to deficit spend trillions of dollars on programs that hardly ever helps the masses. The Federal Reserve is printing a record setting amount of money, and along with inflation and upcoming tax hikes, there will soon be no incentive for people to work without government controls and subsidies. To be clear, China is buying up a lot of American capital, the federal government will control and subsidize the working class, and any Republican politician who speaks out about the conspiratorial socialist and authoritarian politics will be silenced and criticized by the MSM and big tech. We are in a conspiratorial usurpation of our politics and government by China’s authoritarian and socialist agenda. In closing, our country has never been more politically divided since the Civil War. China and Russia are using the MSM and big tech to divide us so that they can conquer us from within. I was on North Street the other day and was asked by a passer-by if I knew where Senator Hinds office was. I pointed him in the direction of 100 North Street where I once visited the senator’s office (about a year ago). A few minutes later, I saw the guy again who said that the senator’s office was no longer there. I checked with him and he was right. I said that Tricia Farley Bouvier was in the same building and we went together and it appeared that her office had been cleared out as well. Now, this could be the result of the pandemic and they certainly have a right to move their offices. But it just struck me on how inaccessible our “representatives” can be. Does anyone know where these servants of the people are currently located? And why haven’t they told anyone?

It seems that every single board or committee that has been appointed by the current Administration is a total disaster. The City Clowncil has spent almost two years acting like little school children bullying each other, and have done absolutely nothing to better Pittsfield. The Licensing Board is totally useless and is run not by laws but by who you are friends with in this City. The Homeless committee is spending more time arguing with each other instead of dealing with the increasingly terrible homeless issues in the City. The Mayor appointed Police Advisory Board is arguing over what words to use while NONE of them have any clue what a police officer goes through in one shift. Don’t get me started on the pathetic PEDA board. This is how our local administration works! Just noticed that there is a Legal Notice asking for bids for $120,000.00 for permanent bike lanes on North Street even though the majority of taxpayers are totally against the bike lanes and have voiced their objections to ALL the City Clownsils and the Mayor. The Mayor and the City Clownsils should be ashamed of the lack of service to the taxpayers of Pittsfield, especially the Mayor as she is basically unreachable and evidently feels no need to work with the taxpayers and abide by their wishes. They are text book examples of egotistical and narcissistic behaviors. It is really sad that taxpayers are fearing retribution if they speak the truth to one of these elected losers. Instead of President Biden, he should be called Santa Claus Biden.
I do not believe that growing the federal government is a good idea. It means that the private sector and wealthy will have to pay more federal taxes. The ratio would be a larger federal government than a smaller private sector and wealthy. Joe Biden is really saying the he can manage the national economy better than the private sector. I doubt it.

Nicholas Caccamo tapped to be the Williamsburg Town Administrator. The unanimous vote happened yesterday (Wednesday, 28-April-2021) morning. The select board met this morning to discuss Caccamo’s contract. Caccamo is not running for re-election, but he will finish out his term this year as Pittsfield’s Ward 3 City Councilor.

About a dozen posts back Thomas More posted a beauty referring to schoolchildren and our city councilors. I will add elected officials are now annually paid 10 to 12 thousand dollars a year, including medical. WOW! I’ve been there. In the 80’s we were paid $2000. annually and were thought overpaid with this amount.
Hello Chuck, Pittsfield’s taxpayers are paying City Councilors to hike their municipal taxes, fees, public debts and other hidden liabilities year in and year out. Pittsfield taxpayers are paying School Committee members for Level 5 (or failing) inner city public schools. Pittsfield taxpayers are paying the Lovely Linda Tyer to say everything is dynamic and vibrant when thousands of local residents rely on social service and public assistance welfare programs to survive. Yuk-is a poser. Does absolutely nothing as a city councilor and is an irresponsible bar owner. Im suprised these other restaurants don’t sue the city….For Conforming! After her minimal suspension she asked if she can play music when the bar opens back up.
Well a former well beaten City Clowncilor stated the more the pay the better quality of candidate.
Council should be a public non payed service. Or don’t run.Do you really want any of these knuckleheads spending your money. And that includes the administration.
