PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY MAY 26, 2021) — THE PLANET presents the following announcement from Mayor Linda Tyer:

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The City of Pittsfield has added a holiday, Juneteenth, to its roster of municipal holidays. As Juneteenth, which is celebrated on June 19, falls on a Saturday this year, city offices will be closed on Friday, June 18.
Juneteenth commemorates the ending of legalized slavery in the United States. It reflects the day, June 19, 1865, when Union Army Gen. Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas and shared the news of freedom with enslaved African-Americans – nearly two and half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation.
In a communication to city personnel shared on Friday, May 14, Mayor Linda Tyer noted the past and present significance of the holiday.
“The announcement delivered on June 19, marked a time of liberation, hope, and promise for the future. Juneteenth serves as a poignant reminder for all Americans that the journey to freedom and liberty has looked, and felt, very different for some of us in this country,” the mayor said. “I’m proud to know that our organization is committed to growing and taking active steps toward ensuring a wide and welcoming pathway for diversity, equity, and inclusion, also known as DEI, in local government.”

———- ooo ———-

Thinking about Christopher Columbus is now a thought crime, and to suggest that Robert E. Lee or any of the Confederates were fighting for their principles, if not their country, brings charges of …

Are you sitting down?

… racism.

That means your are a bad person. Got it?

It’s the “new math” of the woke times in the woeful politics of this city and state.

Actually, THE PLANET applauds Juneteenth. Our only criticism is that the mayor does not go far enough. We think the following paid holidays should be added for all municipal workers, with double time for underpaid school department employees. Administrators will get triple pay for the following holidays:

  • Moonteenth — Commemorating the day city councilor Helen Moon was stopped by Boston police … wait, New Hampshire police … at gunpoint, handcuffed, jailed, and given a 15-minute lecture because she’s a minority female.
  • Presumeteenth — The day that none of that happened to Helen Moon, neither in Boston or anywhere in New Hampshire.
  • Buffoonteenth — A time of tribute to Michael Taylor in HR for all future hires, not one of whom will be white, male, or over 35.
  • Caccoonteenth — When Pittsfield government decided to disappear from the middle class, the hard working, and the law abiding among its citizens.
  • Opportuneteenth — On this day, Dina Guiel Lampiasi won a council seat, was hired by the D.A. in to campaign from those offices, and found herald on the licensing board.
  • Maroonteenth — An observance held for shutting out Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski from the government they own.
  • Poonteenth — Similar to Senior Day, a day when kids can have sex, surf porn, and do drugs on school grounds without penalty. Not much different than any routine school day.
  • Croonteenth — Remembering the day baritone Paul Nixon sang for presidential candidate Harry Truman on a 1948 whistle stop in Pittsfield. Yes, Pittsfield was once in play in national politics, believe it or not.
  • Swoonteenth — The day Mayor Tyer learned that Shirley Edgeton would accept a no-work Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion position in the Pittsfield School Department.
  • Spittoonteenth — Honoring the expectorations and ablutions left by the “armies of the night” and the “denizens of the deep” in downtown Pittsfield, who think that part of North Street is a public toilet.
  • Balloonteenth — Taking note of the ever-ballooning city budget, which in this FY will rise, if the mayor has her way, 6% to reach $180 million. That’s almost three times what it was in 1990.
  • Cartoonteenth — For the years Russ Potak drew his fabulous editorial cartoons for Jonathan Levine in The Pittsfield Gazette.
  • Lagoonteenth — Putting a star down for Ricou Browning, Richard Carlson, Richard Denning, Julie Adams, and Hugh Marlowe. Let’s see how many get the reference.
  • Loonteenth — When The Berkshire Brigades met with the Pussyhats to march against … against what, exactly?
  • Spoonteenth — High diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle. The cow jumped over the moon. The little dog cried to see the once great city sink into the dust because of greedy politics. That’s when the dish ran away with the spoon.
  • Caccamoteenth — Nothing happens on this day, because it’s not on the calendar and doesn’t exist.
  • Lampiasiteenth — Celebrating conflicts of interests, everywhere.
  • Yukiteenth — When dancing on the bar with pretty young girls became de regueur.
  • Tuckerteenth — A tribute to all overweight, allegedly negligent foster parents who love costume play.

———- ooo ———-

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we are blessed to live in “interesting times.” In Pittsfield, the city we love, it has come to pass.

Now going THE PLANET in prayer: God help us all.

Wow! They are just getting back to the office after over a year long vacation from City Hall and they get another paid holiday off? This is the future. Actually it’s the present. A certain class of people, mainly government workers and school employees, will barely work while the the rest of us (the serfs) will work to keep these upper classes comfortable in the lifestyle they are accustomed to living. The rest of us will own nothing and be happy.

I like M.L. Carr, too. I met him once in when I was in the 6th grade in 1987 when he visited Herberg Middle School, and a second time when I went to the old Boston Garden in the mid-1990s before it was torn down. I remember when M.L. Carr asked the middle school students if the Celtics could beat the Lakers in the 1987 NBA Finals, most of the children back then replied “no”. It is still humorous to me to this day.
I like to follow Pittsfield politics, but I am nowhere as knowledgeable about it as blogger and journalist Dan Valenti. I was born in 1975, so my memories of Pittsfield (Massachusetts) are of the city’s decline rather than its blue collar glory days where there used to be a neighborhood church and bar on just about every corner. Where I live now in southern New Hampshire, one of my elderly neighbors grew up in old North Adams and she tells me stories about the downtown being a bustling place when the working class got paid.
I guess we live in post industrial or rust belt America now. Only the financial businessmen and career politicians are making good money in the 21st Century. The rest of us common people are one or two paychecks from living on the street – or in Springside Park.

The journey to financial freedom sure as hell looked and felt different to me in this city Linda, when 30 years ago blacks and Hispanics were getting brownie points on police and fire tests in this city, which resulted in many white people not getting hired, and most of the minority hires, who couldn’t score high enough to be hired on merit, turned out to be problem employees. Go figure. Buy hey, a bunch of white cops got paid time and half to investigate the bad minority ones who did things not fit for print.

Let’s not forget SweetPeteteenth: celebrated every February 29th.

It commemorates Sweet Pete White’s hard work and dedication to the “Houseless.” He speaks great talking points about how he will help the “houseless,” but some how that topic always seems to disappear and photographs of his evening’s grub with his commentary replaces it.

Sweet Pete has gotten absolutely nothing accomplished on his tenure with the city clowncil, how can we not celebrate him? We give him the shortest month of the year and a day that happens every four years for his zero-sum accomplishments to help the bedraggled tax-payer.

Congrats Sweet Pete White!!

In summary, if you love your family, and can find a way, get the hell out of Pittsfield. It is, by design, going to suck the money and chance for success out of you.
If you are of meager means, new to the country, content to live a life of addiction or just plain lazy, then Pittsfield is a good starter place for you. But know that outside of the parasitic power structure that oversees a mindboggling pile of money, and do quite well for themselves, the city is not a place to raise a family if your goal is for them to excel in life. Most middle class peeps and seniors are simply a source of cash. A huge portion of the population is transient. I would guess less than half the population was even here ten years ago.
And why is it that only city employees will get the holiday? What about the guy that works at the muffleur shop? Or the Post Office? Or the super market? This holiday seems to be directed toward city union voters if you ask me. And why would she be doing that?

Maybe we should all protest a government that continually gives themselves days off, barely works, and tells the rest of us that we are “racists”. Most of us worked during the pandemic and went to the office the majority of the time with no vaccines and being in fear while losing our elderly relatives to this virus. We are the true heroes who are exhausted. NOT the teachers and government workers who have been zooming on beaches and other locations while claiming they are exhausted.

The government doesn’t want the people to know what actually happened Jan 6th, as the truth does not fit their narrative of “an insurrection”.

Just as they don’t want you to know last weekend was the bloodiest in gun controlled Chicago of the year. Don’t worry next weekend (Memorial Day) will top last’s.

Or the fact that riots continue unabated in Portland.

This way it’s two fold. (1) We celebrate DA Andrea Wrong Way Harrington’s flaunting the “what’s good for me, is not for ye,” by not paying her property taxes, civil traffic citations, having a suspended license, and driving down the Wrong Way, of a properly marked street, in which the traffic signs were visible and free of defects, (2) it will hopefully serve as a REMINDER for Andrea to pay her civil commitments. You know, those crazy things like taxes that help pay her salary. Go figure…..

Congratulations DA Andrea “Wrong Way” Harrington!! A holiday that only a politician of your ilk could truly earn. And earn you did, sugar!!

People are wondering out loud how many of these people are dozing off/high/not high after getting their methadone doses at Spectrum. Many of the accidents are in that general vicinity. (including a person who literally drove into the building…) Too bad we couldn’t find actual statistics. While I am all for people getting help, hooking them on legal narcotics is not the answer. Especially when it’s stronger than heroin

Good one Dan. Yesterday after watching and reading the news, was wondering how long it will be before there is a Federal Holiday created on May 25th for George Floyd. Only in this mess-upped country could a man be honored almost to the point of sainthood. This is a man that was a drug dealer, drug user, chronic criminal and yes of course a man of color, bottom line George was not a nice guy. If George had only abided by the law he would be alive today. But then again his family might not have been important guest at the White House yesterday. It is shameful what these politicians have done to the USA.

Most of the Founding Fathers owned slaves, yet they fought the British Empire in the name of classical Liberty. To take your statement about the Emancipation Proclamation not ending slavery in the U.S., I would like to state that the Founding Fathers did not end the spirit of British hegemony over their American Colonies because the Founding Fathers kept hegemonic power over their slaves. My point is that if one truly understands history instead of propaganda, he or she will see the absurdities and double standards throughout the centuries. Human behavior and human nature are the only truths in understanding history. We the People are ALL FLAWED! But that is what makes us human – and history what it really is instead of Mount Rushmore and the Washington Monument.

Also did scary barry and his bride rehome Pee Pee white’s unwashed houseless who are illegally camping out in Springside park/under bridges/Clapp Park, schitting in the woods, and pissing on North Street, to their multi loos with views/pissoir McMansion on Pheasant Way yet?

Don’t tell PPD’s turkey murdering animal torturer acting chief wynn or he’ll get dressed up in his blue furry pig costume, go out there, and shoot and stomp the docile pets to death. I once read that wynn killing/stomping those docile turkeys, turkeys that would visit school children, and brought pleasure to neighbors, instigated more complaints from citizens than any other issue in Pittsfield.

I’m not sure about the “stomping” turkey’s, but I seem to remember Mike Wynn shooting and killing a couple of foul fowls on West Housatonic, near South Street.

This happened in the early 2000’s. Maybe 2002 or 2003? Ron Kitterman might remember? Heck, Ron probably had to make the next of kin notification.

I don’t remember the year. But the turkey’s were shot in a vacant lot in a populated area on West Housatonic street between the corner of South Street and Center Street. One of the turkeys died at the scene of inner city shooting/discharge of a firearm. The other friendly docile turkey was injured but escaped the killer and fled to the safety of a parking garage where the killer caught up with the scared injured turkey and was stomped to death.

It is Ok to kill turkeys for food. I think that was the original goal as they were about to celebrate Turkeyteenth, until the press ruined the whole Goddamn banquet by turning it into an animal cruelty thingy.

They imply in the headline, “Shoot First, Eat Later”, that the Turkeys were eaten, however, it says in the article – black bags/incinerator, wherefore…. the Turkeys were STRAIGHT UP DESTROYED FOR NO GOOD REASON.

I don’t think in 2000’s technology yet existed yet for having-a-heart.

These two docile neighborhood mascots were oblivious to the perilous situation, jackbooted thugs, which stalked them as they strolled down the SIDEWALK. Two cruisers stalked their victims, and then, not to be left out of this inner city police perpetrated violent atrocity, “A few more cars pulled up.” Several shots were fired killing one of the birds, and injuring the other bird which fled from the violent predators. But fat black rambo wynn was not tolerating the injured bird’s failure to comply with their deadly extermination plan. NO WAY was that injured birds disrespecting fat black Rambo’s authority. Once predator wynn caught up with the docile injured bird, predator wynn annihilated his injured prey. Neither man, woman, child, or pet are safe when cops are around. All are expected to pay for the sins of mixed race fatherless wynn’s deprived childhood, raised by a single mother.

On the issue of this fake holiday, if it’s really about celebrating emancipation why are taxpayers enslaved into paying for this crap. Let the supporters have their fake holiday, but it should be an unpaid fake holiday. No work, no pay fake holiday! FREEDOM FOR THE TAXPAYERS!

It’s just another feel good, woke holiday to make all the hoity toity people of color, like Roberta, feel good about themselves. Meanwhile people are getting shot, City Hall did nothing for a year and our roads continue to be a mess only surpassed by our city schools. Not all people of color were enslaved, I almost want to bet that NONE of the current people of color in our city were either. Granted slavery is wrong on all levels it’s time to move on. Lots of people are actually disenfranchised, harassed, discriminated against, etc in this current time and era. But hey… let’s focus on something that was over a hundred years ago.

Bravo Linda. You have accomplished nothing more than getting your sweet pension for life.

Hinsdale Roberta, she’s a piece of work, not to be confused with any actual work performance. It’s too bad the new BS schitty charter that was shoved down the throats of the taxpayers did not include a provision to impose taxes on municipal parasites who do not contribute to the tax base in the corrupt city that employs them. On the issue of this fake holiday that taxpayers will be enslaved to pay for, I will not be celebrating it. I will not even acknowledge it, except to acknowledge it for the complete racist BS that it is. And as for that criminal George Floyd BS, hoisting that violent criminal schitt up on a pedestal makes me puke.
On the issue of violent crime in this schitty violent city, I believe the citizens are entitled to know which race claims ownership of those two fine young cannibals, a 15 year old and a 16 year old, arrested yesterday on FRANCIS AVE on charges which include:

DRUG, POSSESS TO DISTRIB CLASS B
RECEIVE STOLEN PROPERTY +$250
AMMUNITION WITHOUT FID CARD, POSSESS
FEEDING DEVICE, POSSESS LARGE CAPACITY FIREARM, CARRY WITHOUT LICENCE

On the obscenity of Tuckerteenth , a tribute to certified 600 pound negligent foster gluttons. I just read a story about how CPS failed a knife wielding 16-year-old black girl, while placed in a foster home that has been the subject of several police calls, who was shot and killed by police. Ma’Khia’s story can be read on several news outlets, including, but not limited too, abcnews, cbsnews, thesun uk/news, nytimes, nypost, cnn, usatoday, msn. But when I googled 10 month old baby Kristoff’s name I found one story of his tragic untimely torturous death, while under the alleged care of his 600 pound certified foster gluttons, while in DCF custody, and his obituary. Not a single national news story about how DCF Massachusetts failed a little white 10 month old baby boy, who absolutely was not wielding a knife at anytime in his very short life.

You do realize he’s no longer president, don’t you? Your like a 6 year-old that wants to keep telling people the same joke. It was funny the first time and you got some laughter. The second and third time you tell it, people force laughter to appease you. After that, it’s not funny. The laughter ended.

Moral of the story TSC: time for new material. How about, how do you feel about Joe Xiden spending $87M to house illegal aliens in hotels, while our troops protecting the capitol, slept in garages?

Many of those arrested from January 6th are being held in solitary confinement; some for as long as 100 days. Even Liz Warren is coming forward to say that this is inhumane. Liz finally speaks some truth. Many are being denied basic rights. Is this America? Many of the rioters from last summer were bailed out by Kamala Harris, even those attacking federal buildings.

Interesting article in “Seacoastonline”, entitled” White Slavery in Colonial New England”. Not all the Irish were indentured servants (a synonym for close slavery), some were kidnapped and sold into actually slavery. Do their descendants merit reparations, unearned entitlements, etc. ? There was a time when the Irish couldn’t eat, drink or enter public establishments as they were vehemently discriminated against.

I find it questionable that the big # death toll were limited to health institutions, where the power to order; doors be shuttered & those elder/disabled people were not in a position to call out. No other place had an outbreak such as did the institutions under thumbs. None at any shopping center, none at any school…..only at the places where we can not get to the truth, controlled by _____________ ? Those are the only places with the legal right to make medical decisions on behalf of the clients, they already took everything else from them ~ they used the frail for the #’s. Death toll is a lie. Can’t launch grants such as this without a declaration of a disaster- covid has been here many years, they had already created the Vax before.

So will this push the school calendar one more day into June? Not that it matters much if a kid misses a day of low bar learning in a Pittsfield school. Garbage in garbage out, as they say in the corner office on Allen street.

Take a left and the crummy road you enter before the school with its crummy paint job. Faded s c h o o l painted on the road. And Valentine rd and it’s crummy new school road.

The lame, pathetic local paper! “Manhunt” story in today’s rag happened Tuesday night, not Wed. night as reported in the paper. Story didn’t even show up on the Eagle’s radar until Wed. night! Article did not carry an author’s name. Guessing they reported it happening a day later so as to not make them look bad for missing a big story by 24 hours! I happened to be on the turnpike Tuesday and saw all the troopers, canine unit and helicopter searching for the felon.
This paper is such an embarrassment!

Why bother with this arrest when nothing will happen? Our country is a laughing stock.

PITTSFIELD — Two juvenile males were taken into custody Wednesday after police say they possessed firearms and illegal narcotics.
The juveniles, whose names or ages were not released, were scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Central Berkshire Juvenile Court.
Pittsfield police received a report around 1:30 p.m. that a male had a gun at a residence on Francis Avenue, according to a news release. Upon arriving at the scene, officers determined that three males had fled the area and “engaged in suspicious activity” as they walked through nearby properties.
A short time later, officers detained two juvenile males matching witness descriptions, the release said. Police searched the area and found two firearms and illegal narcotics that were later linked to the pair.
Both of the juveniles are facing charges of possession to distribute a class B drug; receiving stolen property; possession of ammunition without firearms identification card; possession of a large capacity feeding device; and carrying a firearm without license.
Members of the Pittsfield Police Detective Bureau, Crime Scene Unit, and K9 Unit assisted officers with the investigation.

It’s these far left District Attorneys that are the problem. They were spread across the country by China/Marxists/the far left. They are the ones pushing for lawlessness in this country while at the same time persecuting people like the Capital rioters with gestapo type punishment because they don’t like their political ideology. The scales of justice are seriously out of balance in this country.

Saying that the DAs were spread across the country by China is just unrealistic.

Also, it’s not that the DAs don’t like the Capitol rioters’ political ideology, it’s that the rioters were trying to keep our election results from being certified by our Congress.

Wake up to the fact that many in this country want Marxism. China is behind much of this by trying to influence our country. The Democrats have admitted to doing all they could to win the election including illegally changing state laws related to voting. The far left does not want anyone in power except themselves and will do anything to achieve that goal including making an extreme example of the rioters so nobody will ever question anything they do.

I know a lot of liberal democrats, and no one I know wants Marxism. Those that want Marxism are fringe elements. To say “the far left does not want anyone in power except themselves” is not true. All democrats I know want to work with an opposition party and so wish the republican party would come back.
