America should be grateful. Voters just gave a body blow to the extremists on the left, who call themselves “progressive.” Our guess is that “liberal” just isn’t left enough these days.
The Democrats got wiped out in Virginia, losing at governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, and legislature — this in a state Syracuse Joe won last year by 10%. In New Jersey, the party was headed for defeat until, after the polls closed, another 40,000 ballots miraculously popped up after all the votes had been declared counted. It was enough to avoid an embarrassing loss in a state the party won by 16% by 2020.
As noted Dem consultant James Carville put it in his blunt fashion, the party’s “stupid wokeness” did them in. AOC and the Shrills disagreed, claiming their own party lost because it was too moderate and therefore failed to “energize the progressive base.” Too moderate!

We witnessed President Biden’s further unfolding (and undoing) on Election Night, a great night for Republicans and the beginning of what at this point looks like a massive backlash against “progressives,” to be fully felt in next year’s mid-term races.
The Jersey ballot had a familiar echo. Get a load of this quote by Ryan Matsumoto of Inside Elections with the two guv candidates in a virtual tie: “The remaining vote batches will lean Democrat, in many cases heavily so.”
Please, examine that quote closely.
How does the writer KNOW this? Why, in a fair election, would “batches” of votes lean, “in many cases heavily so,” toward one party as opposed to another? And why, when this occurs, are such votes from certain districts always “remaining” to be counted? Why do they come in late, all at once, and disproportionately for one party, which coincidentally always seems to be the Democrats?
Tell THE PLANET. We’d like to know, because once again, it proved to be the case, handing one party’s win to the other.

Perfect case in point, the misnamed “American Rescue Plan,” also known as “Build Back Better,” the extreme left’s insane giveaway THE PLANET call the Biden Bux. Syracuse Joe, faltering and doddering, has been smoked by his own VP and the banshees known as The Squad.
At the global economic summit in Glasgow, Scotland, a reporter shouted a question about the radical Dem plan to provide $36,000 in cash and benefits, all tax free, to all single parents — no work or anything else required. Biden didn’t have an answer, no surprise since he’s not actually the President. His VP, with The Shrills (AOC & Co.) serving as her kitchen cabinet, is running the show.
During the opening presentations at the summit, Biden actually nodded off a couple of times, fighting exhaustion. He just doesn’t seem WITH IT. Imagine the reaction if President Donald Trump had fallen asleep at an international conference on the environment while the head of a nation’s ecological initiatives, a black man, gave his presentation. Outrage and uproar. Joe nods off, and pretty much nothing but excuses, rationalizations, and justifications.

The $36K handout comes on top of the foolish plan to give $450,000 to EACH illegal alien (aka, criminal) who snuck into the country and was “separated” from family. How one proposes to prove that or vet the separation claim, no one has answered. It will come as no shock, should this measure pass Congress, that 99.278% of every illegal will claim they were “separated.” How border and immigration authorities, already swamped and overworked, will separate the few heads of wheat from the load of chaff has not been addressed.
Fortunately for Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski, there is one senator who has their back. He’s Democrat Joe Manchin of West Virginia. He calls the giveaway proposals of his own party “a shell game,” adding that the “real cost” will double, making the $1.9 TRILLION social services handout plan a $4 trillion deal. Manchin said a vote for this reckless plan “is a recipe for economic crisis.”
He got that right. The $1.9T-actually costing-$4T will be paid with fiat currency (count your blessings; originally, they were asking for $3.5 TRILLION-actually-costing-$7 trillion). Already, the Democrats, in control of both houses and the Oval Office, have flooded the country with paper money backed by exactly NOTHING. Releasing another $4T on top of that will only aggravate inflation, which, you may have noticed, has reached 5% and shows no sign of abating.
Talk about hitting the Kapanskis hard.

What I don’t understand is how the fed govt thinks they would implement the reality since schooling is run by states.
I’m not against vouchers by income for childcare but unless the federal government funds childcare centers it won’t work. Look at the price/quality offerings locally for childcare – the boys and girls club after school was abysmal and far too much for what little to nothing they offer. I don’t know of any local childcare venue at all I would recommend to a young family.
The spending plan is not thought out so will be wasted money. The country would be better off to start with universal medicare.
Do you know what happened to the Medicare/Medicaid world once Obama care was passed? It tanked, people don’t get what they use to and they are paying more. The answer is to get government out, supposedly they have been educating the masses for over a century so everyone should be educated enough to work and survive on their own

Consider how progressives’ demands have shifted these last few months. They went from saying they would pass a bipartisan infrastructure bill only after the Senate passed a $3.5 trillion social spending bill to passing that bill in exchange only for an agreement for a house bill on a half-sized $1.75 trillion package if the Congressional Budget Office agrees it would pay for itself and knowing that there’s little chance even if that happens that it will make it through the Senate intact.
Progressives and Nancy Pelosi can dress this up however they like. But the trade House Democrats made was passing a mainstream, popular bill that will become law, in exchange for some progress on a sprawling progressive bill that won’t—at least not anytime soon—and certainly not without major overhauls.

I totally disagree with the mask mandate in the comments I made on your blog, and encouraged local businesses to sue the city – as the mandate will affect their businesses. Now the Beagle is reporting that no fines will be leveled against businesses enforcing “the directive” – however that could change if there is not widespread conformance.
As for me, I will not do business with any companies enforcing the directive, and I still hope the local businesses will stand together and refuse to submit to this type of bullying from the city. The only way the small number of so-called city power brokers can be defeated is with lawsuits!
Good luck anyone will have finding legal representation to sue the city. Every lawyer pays rent to the Wheel.

Could she please let us know what there is to love about Pittsfield? The infrastructure bill has passed and the Democrats only agreed to pass it if the 2nd massive bill is passed by November 15th. Why is there no joy in most of the country about this? I don’t see the dancing in the streets except by some far left Democrats. The 16 Republicans who voted for this are mostly in swing states, but they should be ejected from the party. Manchin said this one should have been passed weeks ago, but he didn’t want it linked to the 2nd bill, but now it seems he has agreed to pass it after some cost calculations come in, but isn’t that still passing both of them if he has already agreed to pass the 2nd bill by November 15th?
Why would Joe Manchin decide to continue to link the 2nd bill to the infrastructure bill? Pelosi only ALLOWED the infrastructure bill to be passed if the moderates agreed to pass the massive social spending bill by November 15th. What’s the difference? The supposed cost calculations being done will be meaningless if Manchin has already agreed to pass the 2nd one.

Time for Americans to revolt by not paying taxes. People should retire at 62 which is the age you can retire here in Massachusetts (I think each state is different).
