PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

[ED NOTE: THE PLANET is accepting nominees for out coveted Orbit Award. We shall make the announcement of our winner before Christmas. Last year, Charles Garivaltis took honors. Who will it be this time?]

———- ooo ———-

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, THE WEEKEND EDITION DEC. 10-12, 2021) — Can you feel it?

The sea change being experienced throughout America?

If so, what will be happening in the next year shouldn’t surprise you.  Check in with THE PLANET a little less than a year from now to see if we are correct.

We speak primarily but not only about the 2002 Congressional elections.

There’s a feeling in the air at present, and, like everything else today, feelings are political. LEt’s look at some of the key factors of this feeling.

JOE’s APPROVAL RATING

The better way to put this would be President Biden’s disapproval rating. He had the briefest of honeymoons, stuck with

  • the slim margin of victory over Trump,
  • the persistent pandemic,
  • a loser VP
  • failure to understand China
  • and the economy

Not even a year in office, and Syracuse Joe  has hit a record bottom for any president. That’s not surprising. The country has been torn in two.

THE RITTENHOUSE VERDICT

The kid was found not guilty, a boomerang effect of a country having been “Floyd-ed out” and sick of race being injected into everything, especially things that have nothing to do with race. That said, what do you think is going to happen when a dumbass 17-year-old kid (a) leaves his house, (b) drives 10 miles to a neighboring town, and (c) enters a riot brandishing an AR-15 semiautomatic assault rifle? Rittenhouse should have been found guilty of  TS — Teen Stupidity, instead of being lionized by the right.

INFLATION

Since the pandemic, our “leaders” have increased the circulation of currency nearly $230 billion. Fact: Some 20% of all U.S. dollars presently circulating were created (run off on the printing press with nothing to back them except a promise) in 2020. Biden calls it “transitory inflation,” as if it’s a desert mirage that will soon go away. Fact: Inflation hasn’t been this high in 30 years.

Printing fake dollars not backed by precious metals or some other valuable commodity removes all practical restraints on monetary expansion. The result is a willful devaluation of currency. Predictably, Fed chair Jerome Powell said it’s time to drop the word “transitory.” Inflation looks like it’s making camp.

“Transitory?” Playing games with words. Of course it’s “transitory.” So is everything and everyone. The Pleistocene Era was transitory.  As George Harrison put it in his brilliant album, “All Things Must Pass.”

Inflation real and it’s here to stay, at least as long as government taxes and spends at sinful levels (Hello, Pittsfield!). Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski prove it to themselves each time they buy groceries, fill up at the gas pump, or pay their utility bills. Since Biden took office, gasoline has jumped almost 67%. The average price of a vehicle is up 19%. In fact, a Wall Street Poll issued this week found that “paying everyday bills” was the country’s number one worry.

As prices rise and inflation erode the purchasing power of existing dollars, what’s the proper word ? “Inflation” doesn’t cover it. How about “stagflation.”

  • Slow growth in the GDP
  • Rising unemployment
  • Jobs begging to be filled
  • Supply-line chaos
  • Soaring prices
  • Currency’s loss of value
  • Two new spending plans conservatively estimated to cost $3 trillion and probably double that once it’s done the damage.

The word is “stagflation,” what is to the economy and the Kapanski’s pocketbook what garlic and mirrors are to Bela Lugosi. If you want an update on stagflation, check out the economy in the 1970s, when the term was born.

GERRYMANDERING

In prep for the 2022 elections, state legislatures are redefining congressional districts, a process known as gerrymandering. The redrawn maps. That ongoing fudging will have profound implications for the country a year from now. Currently, the Dems have a precarious 50-50 Senate edge, doing not much better in the House, where they rule 221-213. Flip five seats there, and you think politics are crazy now? Right now, it appears that with gerrymandering alone, the GOP may take back both houses. Then Je’s fun will really begin, the country will become even more paralyzed by gridlock, and China will continue its deserved ascendancy.

CONCLUSION

Back to the beginning and the sea change we mentioned.

Have you figured it out yet?

Okay. Let us spell it out for you.

Less than a year from now, we shall see a massive Republican wave sweep the mid-term elections. The red will be flowing, and the GOP will have the Democrats blue.

Have a great weekend, everybody.

Bidenomics, have to love it. There have been many more “issues” that illegitimate has created that you were kind to ignore. He will go down as one of the worse Presidents ever! Add to that what the Democrats are doing in Pittsfield and we the taxpaying citizens of Pittsfield getting hit with a tsunami!! Not sure if there is anywhere they can hide. The kicker is somehow the Democrats will win….how does that happen??

Jessi Smollet was supported bigly by that raciss Kamala Harris who despicably voted for Rachel Rollins as new US Federal prosecutor for Taxachusetts. Can that dangerous, police impersonating racist , Raciss Rollins, please give Hardly Harrington a job so we can be rid of her???

Unfortunately Harrington has the wrong skin color for a appointment. Rollins is a race baiting, hack who cherry picks the laws she wants to prosecute. Also has some serious anger issues. But she does check the right box’s.

And Raciss Rollins is half white, just as Obama was. And they both pretend, like Harris, that they are “black” . They are all a bunch or race bating phony’s. If only Harrington could pretend she was half black, she could maybe get an appointment. I wonder if she has police lights on her government car like Rollins did, impersonating a police officer, which is a crime, by the way.

On Pittsfield politics, Mayor Linda Tyer is sitting on tens of millions of dollars in Biden Bucks and Matt Kerwood’s Slush Funds. Why did she raise municipal spending by the always, always, always,….predictable 5 percent margin when she is flush with more cash than any Mayor in the sad history of corrupt Pittsfield politics’ failed state and local leadership? Why is she possibly illegally shutting out the proverbial Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski out of the city’s spending of its Biden Bucks? What happened to the state’s Open Meeting Law and Ethics Laws? Why doesn’t someone write to the state Attorney General’s Office about Mayor Linda Tyer’s possibly illegal actions? To be clear, Mayor Linda Tyer’s tax and spending ways are possibly illegal and NOT even rational anymore!

On Beacon Hill politics, the state Legislature is still on its 7-week-long taxpayer-funded vacation until January 5th, 2022. They just passed their Biden Bucks and state surplus spending bill in informal legislative session, but they are still sitting on billions of additional state cash that should belong in the pockets of the proverbial Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski family. Smitty Pignatelli is still writing his lofty worded op-eds, but we all know that his real public record in Boston is anything but lofty. Chrome Dome Adam Hinds is racking up endorsements for his campaign for Lieutenant Governor, but what does that useless position actually do for the people and taxpayers of Massachusetts? To be clear, the Berkshire legislative delegation – Chrome Dome, Shitty, Trippy Country Buffet, Paul Marxism, and the career Mayor John Barrett III – are useless backbenchers in Boston, which only does DISSERVICES to the beautiful Berkshires and beyond.

On the Swamp, Donald Trump signed the single largest federal tax cut in U.S. history, and he was a big deficit spender whereby he racked up between $7 trillion to $8 trillion in four years of combined federal budget deficits. Then Joe Biden spent a whopping $6 trillion federal dollars in his first 100 days in the Oval Office, which was on top of the multitrillion-dollar federal budget, and he signed and may still sign the largest federal spending bill(s) in U.S. history.

The U.S. national debt is now over $29 trillion. Like I have explained many times before, all the Swamp does is transfer trillions of federal dollars from the Federal Reserve to Capitol Hill to Wall Street to Foreign Banks and back and forth again and again, which means that the proverbial Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski never sees any of it in terms of economic, financial and income gains for the past 50 years. To put it simply, the rich always get richer, while the rest of us either tread water and hopefully save a few dollars or we fall in our country’s ever-increasing underclass. Most of the trillions of federal dollars only exist on institutional computer screens, but it is also causing a three decade high in U.S. inflation which is worse than any federal tax increase on the masses.

Like Mayor Linda Tyer’s tax and spending in Pittsfield politics, and Beacon Hill’s vacationing Salons still sitting on billions in additional state cash, the Swamp’s running of the printing presses like Napoleon did over two Centuries ago is NOT rational.
The 2022 midterm election will see Democratic Party losses and Republican Party gains in the Swamp. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are tanking in the polls, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi being worth over $500 million as a career politician does not go over well with voters.

MAGA Trumpism (or MAGA Hitler Nazism) and the Utopian Green New Deal are both downright scary. Whatever happened to the President and U.S. Congress standing for the rule of law while managing scarce public resources for the efficient and equitable economic and financial benefit of the American People – Invest in People – who have the equal opportunity to live the American Dream of a middle-class life for themselves and their family?

In closing, I wish that extremist politicians on the right and left would stop their nonsense about “Making America Great Again” or selling us Hot Air with their Utopian Green New Deal propaganda and start governing again with real leadership whereby the Government serves We the People.

Like everyone else, I would need security guards walking around inner-city Pittsfield, especially after hours. During and after my dad was a Berkshire County Commissioner (1997 – mid-2000), most of my enemies were from Pittsfield politics to Beacon Hill, especially one four-foot-tall illegal double dipper in Pittsfield/Boston who was in bed with the big banks and insurance companies from 1999 to 2006, and who is now heavily invested in the marijuana market since March of 2017 that stinks up abutting neighborhoods behind his Dalton Avenue pot growing operation with dead-skunk odor air. Pittsfield is not vibrant and dynamic for many of the people and neighborhoods that the Lovely Linda neglects. But what does Mayor Linda Tyer care – after all she lives in a mansion in a millionaires-only gated community west of Berkshire Community College within a few feet of the Hancock border where she and her wealthy CPA husband Barry Clairmont both park their luxury Lexus cars at night. In fact, Linda Tyer perfectly symbolizes everything that is unfair and wrong with Pittsfield politics in the 21st Century, along with Jimmy Ruberto’s rusted-out Rolodex that rightfully sits at the rock bottom of Silver Lake. The ruling elites making out like bandits happens everywhere, but Pittsfield politics’ Queen Linda Tyer has done it in SPADES! I predict she will continue to keep her spending of the tens of millions of Biden Bucks a secret from the taxpayers, direct Matt Kerwood to add additional millions of dollars to his excessive multimillion-dollar Slush Funds, raise municipal spending by the always predictable 5 percent per fiscal year (along with fee hikes, and financially unsustainable increases in the city’s public debts and other liabilities), oversee the indefensible Level 5 inner city public schools, oversee the failed 23-year-old mostly vacant and very polluted PEDA park with millions of dollars in unfunded liabilities, call North Street “a work in progress” while the homeless shit on the street of “Social Services Alley” and small business owners complain in futility, and dish out retribution against her detractors so she her administration won’t be questioned by the taxpaying public. What a frickin’ nightmare Pittsfield has become in 2021 going into 2022! When I was a young man decades ago, I hoped and prayed I wouldn’t end up in inner-city Pittsfield, and now that I am in my mid-40s I am grateful that I was able to move far away from my nightmarish existence in Pittsfield to a nice community in Southern New Hampshire. In closing, if the Lovely Linda is the head-side of the coin, then Jon Melle is the tail-side of the coin in Pittsfield Massachusetts – and heads always wins for the Elites even when the coin is called tails! Jon Melle will NOT be walking the streets of Pittsfield by Jon Melle’s choice ever again in Jon Melle’s limited time on Earth.

If our country is serious about having an election that truly represents the citizens than creating a secure voting system is the most important thing our government should be focusing on. Make voting day a holiday so there is no excuse for not showing up in person to perform your civic duty. Vet the voter rolls so dead people aren’t voting and out of staters can’t vote either. If it is electronic they should have a running tally posted on the city’s website so people can keep track in real time what is going on. Observers from all parties should be at all polling sites to ensure no “water break” voting happens I observed, though if you limit mail in balloting that issue should be mute. It is time for the regular Kapanski’s to step up and fight for fair, legal voting to be done.

An outright lie from the Boston Globe article today. They say that for the first time in history low income wage earners are earning more than ever. Just not true unless they are talking about earning more by not working. During the Trump administration is when low wage earners really increased our wages and our money went further because we didn’t have “stagflation”. The media lies like this on a regular basis. The one change that I think should be made for all workers is a shorter work week. There is no reason why Republicans can’t get behind a push for a 30 hour work week. I think some of the people voting for the far left are burned out workers who will jump to vote for any party promising them easier working conditions even if that party happens to have a totalitarian agenda for this country.

Your exactly spot on Pat. Inflation inflation inflation. And that is what happens here locally it’s always more taxes because of the cost of living rising,,that’s where the problem lies. This time however we were taxed another five percent and weren’t aware of slush funds or Covid monies come on?

We will be in Armageddon mode here with spending crime, schools failure, north st,Covid, water rates, taxes, housing and businesses. Taxpayers will revolt with these beer giveaways and businesses existing for years getting no relief and for years have paid taxes.

All of these so called economic engines are directly related to keeping these n y types taking advantage of our plight and this administration caters with your wallets to pay for it.

There is no benefit in creating beer and restaurant jobs because in the end taxes pay for. Unsecured investment and many many times these venues go bell up with no return on taxpayer investment.

People should be able to work more than 30 hours if they want to, but not everybody wants to give themselves 100% to the job throughout their entire lives. People should have the option to work fewer hours in my opinion to devote time to other areas of their lives…family, hobbies, leisure time. Most job currently do not offer that flexibility. People should work and need to work and that is a very good option as opposed to not working at all and living off the government.

Not exactly pal. That 6.8 figure is actually a big lie. The formula that determines that number, which is the Consumer Price Index (CPI) number, is flawed. For example, gas prices only account for 4 percent of that number, but in reality gas is up way more than that, over a buck a gallon, as are groceries (15 dollars today for a cooked rotissierre chicken), oil and gas up 55 percent, and used cars are up 32 percent, all year over year. Furthermore, 41 years ago, the CPI formula was more realistic, although still tainted. But, using the same formula from 41 year ago, the rate of inflation year over year is 15 percent. The bottom line is the average joe got screwed out of thousands of dollars in spending power this year, thanks to sleepy joe and his ilk.

Some places outside of this area have been accused of doing such things to launder money. When common sense seems to have been totally left out of a project the alternative reasoning for such a project is often money and where the money goes. And a question often asked is, “Does this community shun audits, oversight or general community input?”

Since Republicans are now the party of the working class, they need to step up and implement a 30 hour work week for all Americans.

Because I think burned out employees, and I see them everyday, in so many companies, including my own, are driving the push toward the crazy promises of the far left like you can sit home and not work. That is crazy and will destroy our country, but a 30 hour work week would solve a lot of problems. Don’t think I’m doing this for myself. I’m nearly at retirement age so I’ve worked my whole life at 37 to 40 hour per week jobs and it’s tough. It’s even tougher once you pass into your late 50’s so I think a lot of people would get behind Republicans if they promoted that idea. It wouldn’t crash our economy like the the ideas of the far left. I think it would be very positive for our country.

Another pathetic performance by DA Harrington who already lost a murder case against the same guy. She dragged her incompetent high heels long enough to lose all the witwitnesses and failed to put together a case. Now he’s gotten off again. Another drug dealer shooter is let go. No justice. The biggest threat to safety in Berkshire County is Andrea Harrington.

Pittsfield man sentenced to probation in connection with 2020 shooting incident

By Amanda Burke, The Berkshire Eagle 1 hr ago   1 min to read

PITTSFIELD — A local man will serve three years probation after pleading guilty in Berkshire Superior Court this month to illegally possessing ammunition, according to court documents.
Laquan Johnson, 26, of Pittsfield, was sentenced Dec. 1. He was arrested by Pittsfield police after midnight on April 30, 2020 in connection with a drive-by shooting on Glenwood Avenue, according to court documents. No injuries were reported.
Johnson was in the driver’s seat of a vehicle police saw speeding about one mile away on Seymour Street shortly after the shooting incident.
The car matched the description of the vehicle that a witness saw fleeing the scene, court files show. Police said officers found a gun in the center console of the car.
Johnson was sentenced to serve three years probation after pleading guilty to the ammunition possession charge, which was a lesser included offense, according to court documents. He was ordered to pay a monthly probation fee or perform community service.

It seems like less and less people want to work in law enforcement these days. uh oh. It seems like less and less people want to go into the medical field these days. uh oh It seem like less and less people want to work in the airline industry these days. uh oh. It seems like less and less people want to work in emergency services these days.
And a large part of the reason is because humanity is showing its nasty disgusting dark side. All the ingrates and holier than thou types have been stirred to act out and behave like immature morons. I guess it does not matter who is doing the stirring but it is afffecting everyone and is getting exponentially worse by the week.
One day perhaps not so long from now, no one may show up when you call the police. There may not be anyone to drive that ambulance to your heart attack. And there may not be enough people in the ICU to take care of you if you do get there. Even pharmacies cannot find enough people. Think of the ramifications of that.

There was just ANOTHER case of some rowdy asshole on a plane 3000 feet in the air putting everyone else’s life in danger. They should have a special door for these fools and if you start shit on a plane they immediately throw you the fuck out the door at the current altitude without your baggage.

Just wondering why our state government is so enamored with a train running East and west? Are the Chinese needing to sell more trains because they are losing money on their system? Our government can’t even make the T break even so why funnel money into a losing proposition? The East West travelers would like them to widen the Pike so the flow will be safer for all drivers, they are the ones paying for the privilege to ride on the Pike. The state got rid of all the toll takers so there has to be money somewhere. Please someone run against Chinese choo choo Neal he has been the worse representative for Berkshire County that was ever voted in.

America has needed a comprehensive infrastructure plan for decades. Intelligent society’s, who somehow are able to keep political posturing out of the mix, treat infrastructure as an ongoing necessity and do not wait till everything needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. (why does America keep punching itself in the face)?
So now we have some kind of plan. We will someday be entering the design phase for many roads and bridges. I would surmise that in America an average bridge design takes two years and a huge chunk of the allotted money for the project. After the politicians play around with a phony bidding process and fight over built in kickbacks, inflation has added another ten percent to the project.
In America right now, could you find anywhere near enough laborers to build a thousand bridges all at once? Could you get your hands on enough needed materials? Would there be enough accountants to keep track of the cost overruns?
Based on my observations of political fuckery over many years, I predict that just in Pittsfield alone, half the existing bridges will be at least partially shut down, half the manholes will be six inches below grade and that there will be more potholes than actual road surface at the end of the current mayors term.
There is an old saying, “the more things change the more they stay the same”. In Pittsfield it has been modified to “the more things change the worse they get.”

Monoclonal antibodies continuing to save lives across the country, now even the world. Dr. Fauci is still trying to limit the antibodies to patients who are not hospitalized even though many doctors are now fighting against that and seeking to help save hospitalized patients with the antibody treatment. Fauci’s rule makes zero sense like so many other of his previous health decisions for fighting COVID. Now giving shots of the antibodies instead of infusions is becoming popular in some states. Wonder if that is happening here in Pittsfield? Somehow I doubt it since Berkshire County hasn’t been up-to-date with the treatments for this virus with so many doctors and nurses not even knowing about the monoclonal antibodies in 2020.

Now that the federal Prosecutors rested their case against Ghislaine Maxwell for her alleged role in the alleged sex trafficking ring ran by the now deceased billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, I will be interested in reading about what Maxwell’s defense Attorneys will say to the Judge and Jury in NYC in the next couple of weeks. In particular, I would like to know who the men were who allegedly sexually abused and sexually exploited the then 14-year-old girls who were allegedly purchased for sex by Jeffrey Epstein. Bill Clinton had 26 flight log entries on Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet. Melinda Gates divorced billionaire Bill Gates over his history of sexual misconduct with women and possibly the aforementioned then 14-year-old girls. The UK’s Prince Andrew has a sordid reputation with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Once again, I believe it is sexist and unfair that only the woman – Ghislaine Maxwell – to stand trial while the rich and powerful men go uncharged. Furthermore, I believe that Epstein and Maxwell alleged sex trafficking ring is part of a much bigger global sex trafficking ring that the general public is not being told about. A lot of things about Ghislaine Maxwell’s legal case stinks of much larger serious sex crimes both in the USA and abroad.
