PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, SPRING-IN-DEC. 17-19, 2021) — Having enjoyed the glorious Northeast weather, we can’t help but noticing the deadly, crazy weather in the Mideast and West, with snow measured in feet, tornados, and winds flipping 18-wheelers. Mother Nature and animals, sentient as they be, have just launched their revenge upon humanity for helping to destroy the earth. Of course, as always, humankind will have the last word, which will occur when the next World War heads our way, initiated by nukes.

That said, THE PLANET today presents a visual column, sent to us by a wonderful and talented writer from South Carolina, Jerri Chaplin.  We have posted the hot link below. See if you don’t agree with the pictures.

THE PLANET sees these images as against the tired, “Well, things have always been like that” — the pseudo argument used when, for example, you try to point out to young people that things in the school or at home “have NEVER been like that.”

These pictures also confirm the real dangers of the “the slippery slope,” which is like compounding interest. Mary Joe and Jane Kapanski know all about the slope, having had their hike hike compound more than a full generation, which, along with inflation, has put their future in serious jeopardy.

Take most any interval of 10 years or more, measure where we were (“well, things have always been like that,” and compare it to what the intervening years have accumulated in compounding interest. The visuals below say all. Our favorite is the graphic on public schools in1 1968 v. schools today. For all we know, we have some kid somewhere in the Pittsfield school district one disappointment or setback away from going on a rampage.

Yeah, “things have always been like that.”

Tell THE PLANET which set of images speaks most clearly to you?

How did we go from this to this

The Comment and Line is open for business.

Have a great weekend, everybody

Men with holes in their pants are equally annoying. If people were too poor to afford jeans without holes, that’s one thing, but it’s like a fashion statement now, but a fashion statement of what exactly? It just looks terrible.

Joe Biden called Putin “A KILLER”, and Putin has over 100,000 sitting on the Ukraine border ready to invade Ukraine. The only way Biden can stop “KILLER” Putin is with Nuclear Weapons, which would start World War 3. Joe Biden threatened China with World War 3 if they invade Taiwan. China is taunting Taiwan with Chinese War Planes. The only way Biden can stop China is with Nuclear Weapons, which would start World War 3. Let us NOT forget that Joe Biden voted for Bush 2’s invasion of Iraq in 2002/2003. Iraq possesses the second largest oil reserves in the world second only to Saudi Arabia. If “KILLER” Putin invades Ukraine and/or China invades Taiwan, Russia and China will remind the world that Joe Biden voted to invade Iraq less than 2 decades ago. Then there is Joe Biden’s failure to stop Iran from having Nuclear Weapons in the near future. Iran is a high threat to Israel, which is the USA’s number one ally in the Middle East. Iran is also a top state sponsor of terrorism against US interests. If Iran nuked Israel, then the US would retaliate by nuking Iran, which could start World War 3. Joe Biden’s failed foreign policy with Russia and China and other adversarial countries are putting the world at the brink of Nuclear War and World War 3. Then there is Joe Biden’s recent military withdrawal of Afghanistan. Up to 14 million people in Afghanistan are at risk of mass starvation and mass death this upcoming Winter of 2021/2022. 15 million innocent people and Peoples – mostly Jewish People – were tragically killed in Hitler’s Holocaust over many years, while up to 14 million people and Peoples are at risk of mass starvation and mass death in Afghanistan during the 3 months of Winter 2021/2021. Joe Biden needs to step up on the world stage and stop the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, and also in Yemen, and also in Syria, and also elsewhere in the world. I wish we had a good U.S. President right now who would meet the foreign policy crises with real leadership instead of Joe Biden’s napping during global forums and defending the ongoing debacle in Afghanistan he is responsible for due to his failed presidential leadership in the world.

That’s what Americans said while Hitler was trying to take over the world, let the rest of the world take care of it, but we finally had to step in or the world would be a very different place today. It’s very similar to today because the world is being pushed toward totalitarian government while our country is intentionally being weakened so that this latest attempt at totalitarian world government will not be stopped.

With the rent moratorium now over, the TDS stricken still haven’t successfully evicted Donald Trump from their heads. I think the obsession with Trump exhibited by many comes off to most people as being kind of weird. They wanted him gone, he’s gone, and now they still want to talk about him every day.
It looks like they are living in the past and don’t care about the issues that are really affecting voters in the here and now that this current administration has rained down on the American citizens. McAuliffe and others just turned usual wins into defeat in normally blue areas by trying to campaign against
Trump instead of the issues.

Sadly, the divisive politics in America will be suicidal. Putin loves it. He loves American politicians and “news” outlets that stir up shit and create choas. It is his best weapon against his arch enemy. America is self destructing. And there are those who constantly poke at the wound, never allowing it to heal over. They just keep poking. Right Pat?

Yes the Minister of Justice of “minimizing harm.” Let’s go with that. Was harm minimized when Andrea Harrington:

1 allowed the attempted murder of a baby to go unpunished due to Harrington’s failure to provide witnesses?
2 violated rules of professional conduct by calling for the removal of our Chief Justice of District Court based on hearsay, without reviewing available evidence?
3 repeatedly blocked the release of public records resulting in the whistleblower resignation of a public records officer?
4 failed to deliver an iota of justice after a racially motivated violent crime hoax at Simon’s Rock? It was the DA’s weeks of foot dragging, lack of leadership and ultimate failure to deliver justice that caused damage to our community’s efforts to combat racism.
5 Allowed multiple murders, rapists and assailants to be acquitted or have charges dropped due to her office’s incomptence?

We could go on, but the arrogance has made us sick.

Wrong Way is a “minister of justice.” Let’s take a look at her track record:

Lonnie Durfee, white male, burns two bails of hay. No people/property were in jeopardy of being harmed. Sentence: 2 years in jail.

Reymon Delacruz-Batista, Hispanic male (POC), murdered in Pittsfield State Forest 12/5/21. No updates/No suspects in custody.

LaQuan Johnson, black male (POC), involved in multiple weapons violations/shootings in Pittsfield. Arrested after being involved in drive-by shooting on Glenwood Avenue on 4/30/2000. Johnson was pled out to 3 years probation.

Parth “Peter” Chaudhari, Asian decent (POC), involved in a scam, which included seven states and scammed people out of $300,000. Only 8 months pre-trial confinement. Allowed to voluntarily deport himself after paying back money.

Jesus Lugo, Hispanic male, (POC), drive-by shooting from the hood of his GF’s vehicle. Caught after he shot himself in the hand, after running from the police.

Edward Jennings, black male, (POC), arrested for murdering Lemond Grady, on North Street, on 4/20/21.

Myron Crapps, black male (POC), arrested for shooting a woman on Kent Avenue, 7/14/2020.

Tyler Sumner, black male (POC), arrested for shooting/killing Stephanie Olivieri, on 8/25/2019.

So, based on a quick 10 minute search of recent Berkshire County violent crimes, it brings up quite a few violent crimes.

Of my observation, one man was sent to jail for a nonviolent crime, Lonnie Durfee, and one man, Peter Chaudhari, was allowed to pay restitution with no jail time for another nonviolent crime.

One person of color, Delacruz-Batista, was murdered with no suspect information, no updates from Wrong Way’s Office. Should the public be scared? Alarmed? On the look out for a suspect/suspects? An update Wrong Way would be nice.

That leaves the other five, all people of color, charged with violent crimes/shootings.

So, from Wrong Way’s statement and my quick research, it would suggest that Wrong Way is truly is a “minister of justice.” That is if you’re a white male, you get punished to the fullest extent of the law. If you’re a person of color, you can commit violent crimes and Wrong Way will begin the defendants mitigation process immediately, to lessen any sentence that person of color might have to serve.

This is actually the role of a defense attorney, but hey, Berkshire County voted for this imbecile. She can’t even drive down a one way street legally with a valid driver’s license, but yet we expected her to know the job of DA?

If you enjoy the notoriety of Pittsfield becoming the Springfield of the North, with the shootings and violent crimes, then re-elect the “minister of justice.”

I’d rather have the late, great, “Minister of Defense,” Reggie White, as our DA, rather than Wrong Way.

With not a shred of a statistic to back up any of this garbage.

All the other progressive DA’s (LA, San Fran, Philly) are all experiencing a record surge in violent crimes. Mostly from black males, via black on black violence.

If I’ve said once, I’ll say a hundred more times, there are only so many Lonnie Durfee’s out there. The “white bogey-man” excuse has dried up.

Is this in the same shitty little town where cops illegally broke into their own police department drug evidence locker allegedly just to look at cache of illicit drugs? I believe shrooms were included in the police evidence locker full of illegal drugs, but the cops just wanted to look at them, so they broke-in to the evidence room/locker. If you believe that.

This is not to be confused with the case of the evidence officer/cop who stole cash from the evidence room to support his drug addiction and unused medications citizens had turned over to the cops for disposal, so they didn’t get into the wrong hands.

Message to those who want to bring drug injection sites to the Berkshires. In San Franscisco, the mayor has just declared a state of emergency to fight the “nasty streets” of drug dealing and overdose deaths. Harm reduction has failed miserably there. Yes Legal, drug injection sites make it easy for the dealer. They just pedal the drugs near the injection sites with no worries. They also move the drug users from one part of a City to a poorer part of the City. Lastly one could ask are they saving lives or delaying death?

December 18, 2021

Erin Leahy at Act on Mass wrote that the new Massachusetts state legislative district maps are tantamount to an “incumbency protection plan”, according to Secretary of State Bill Galvin, (which maps drawn by incumbents tend to be!).

Erin also wrote about #EggGate2022. She wrote that 90% of eggs currently being sold in Massachusetts will become illegal to sell as of January 1, [2022], leading to a massive egg shortage unless the legislature takes action. She informed us that Beacon Hill lawmakers had 5 whole years to change and implement the voter-passed referendum to require livestock to have larger living spaces into law, and that since 2016, the state law became outdated because industry standards have changed since then, and it would be devastating if enforced.

Erin reminded us that Beacon Hill lawmakers are still on their 7-week-long taxpayer-funded vacation, but Beacon Hill lawmakers are still holding state committee hearings. I, Jonathan Melle, personally think that the following sentence is ridiculous: After the passage of the Climate Roadmap bill at the beginning of this session, Massachusetts is currently on pace to convert to 100% renewable energy by 2090. The reason why I believe that is ridiculous is because 2090 is a little over 68 years from now.

Erin then wrote about Beacon Hill lawmakers’ chicanery. She explained that the State House and State Senate voted in February to make more votes publicly available for the Joint Rules from Conference Committee, but the Boston state lawmakers never acted on it, and the final version has been in a conference committee for the past 9 months. Committees have a deadline of 2/2 to take action on their bills. If we don’t have the new rules in place before then, we won’t get to see the committee votes after all.

Lastly, Erin explained that the Speaker of the Massachusetts State House of Representatives, Ronny Mariano, controls Beacon Hill State Representatives’ staff allocation. This gives Ronny Mariano a lot of power of his State Representatives because having more staff means a representative has more capacity to respond to constituents and be a more prolific legislator. Some State Representatives only get one legislative staff member, while other State Representatives get an entire team of staffers.

Source: Erin [Leahy] at Act on Mass [political email] – Re: Saturday Scoop: Illegal eggs, “red tape,” & misplaced blame – December 18, 2021

Massachusetts state government’s rainy day fund clocked in at $4.6 billion in fiscal 2021, a huge jump from $3.5 billion the prior year.

My response to excessive state and local Slush Funds is that after 3 to 5 percent of the state and local respective budgets, the state and local cash should be given back to the state and local taxpayers. In theory, the state and local government is supposed to serve the people and taxpayers, not the other way around!

Happy New Year. The children who will suffer along with everyone else did not deserve such pathetic neglect by the adults.

Medical experts are many. Unfortunately they have been wrong more than right . With 95 % of NFL vaccinated, major out break this week. Seems the vaccines are only working at making a lot of money for the shady pharmaceutical companies. Also a University did a test on mask saying they are only 10% effective. Wear your mask, puff out your chest with your Vac. Card. I wish you a Merry Christmas.

Go stock up on groceries, if you can find them, then hide in your basement until spring. And Biden has more dead under his watch than Trump, and was it not Biden and Harris who said they did not trust vaccines developed under Trump administration???

Facts 96% of deaths are elderly and people with 2 or more other serious illnesses. Average age of death is over 80. Most people in that group are fully vaccinated.

As reported earlier, Cornell only allows vaccinated students on campus. They recently had an 900 student covid outbreak and have resorted to remote learning. That’s 900 vaccinated students, so far, contracting covid.
Don’t rely on your shots to protect you.

Vaccine passport requirements not only hurt businesses but they totally ignore persons with herd immunity.

Was on North St yesterday and saw a city truck parked right in the bike lane by Dotties. I was wondering if this was another obstacle for Ricky’s Rumpass Ride? I looked but couldn’t find any burning hay bales, maybe they put those out at midnight

Joe Manchin is still holding out against the far left and their Build Back Better plan. We have to pray that he is able to stand tough against this plan that is pro-China and has very little for Americans except child care so they can indoctrinate your kids at an even younger age. It has so much in it to restrict our freedoms. No lump of coal for Americans for Christmas, but Pelosi and Schumer will continue to push for this plan in the new year.

Joe Manchin said on Sunday that he will not support Build Back Better as it stands and he is being attacked by the far left. Omar said he can’t be trusted and there is so much in the plan for child care, but she fails to mention that the majority of the trillions of dollars will go to China for climate change paraphernalia and the rest goes to buying electric cars for government officials and unions while Americans will be stuck with high gas prices.
