STATE HOUSE ‘PROFILES IN COURAGE’ GIVE THE KAPANSKIS A DOUBLE-DOSE OF ‘SCREW YOU’

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY FEB. 16, 2022) — Today on THE PLANET, the latest chapter of our “Profiles in Courage,” aka your state reps.

C’mon down, state reps Adam Hines, John Barrett III, Paul Mark, Tricia-Farley-Bouvier, and Smitty Pignatelli

Granted, they aren’t personally responsible for the following State House developments; nonetheless, their fingerprints are all over it. Guilt by association.

Besides, when is taking responsibility for “representing” every poor soul in Berkshire County something they take seriously?

The two matters at hand, both COVID-related:

  • Overpayments to people who filed for relief funds
  • The reopening of the State House

———- ooo ———-

OVERPAYMENTS

Seems the federal Department of Unemployment Assistance discovered it had overpaid the Commonwealth $2.7 billion. For those keeping score at home, that’s two thousand seven hundred (2,700) million millions. You know, what the bums in politics consider chump change. Massachusetts received the overpayments in 2020 and 2021 as the feds’ response to the state’s 719,000 individual claims by those who either lost their jobs or claimed they lost their jobs (not that THE PLANET believes that corruption is rampant on Beacon Hill). The Feds want the money back. They changed their rules for the money.

The state reps have a problem with that.

The legislature’s Labor Committee, through reps Pat Jehan (D-Cambridge) and Josh Cutler (D-Pembroke and not Pittsfield’s Josh Cutler), told Rosalin Acosta, secretary of Labor and Workforce Department, no dice. We want to keep the money. “Pause the collections.”

Who is this going to hurt?

  • Small businesses, whose forced contributions to the unemployment insurance guarantees have increased at the same time they have either suspended service, cut back service because of staffing issues, or gone out of business entirely.
  • Second, it hurts the honest, keep-your-nose-clean, obey-the-law American taxpayers, locally known as Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski.

You think our “Profiles in Courage” care about those two constituencies here in Massachusetts, a state run by ultra-liberals and parts of the loon left that are eroding the very foundations of freedom upon which we thought this country was built?

THE PLANET wonders how Hines, Barrett, Mark, Farley-Bouvier, and Pignatelli feel about the extra $2.7 billion the state didn’t deserve and doesn’t need?

———- ooo ———-

REOPENING OF THE STATE HOUSE

There are 50 states in the United States of America. In 49, state legislatures have been open to conduct The People’s business. Can you guess which state has the only state house closed off to the public?

You guessed correctly!

The Golden Dome on Beacon Hill.

It’s been closed now for more than 700 consecutive days. In all that time, your “Profiles in Courage” have been collecting full pay, pocketing full committee bonuses, full benefits, and (you’re gonna love this!), their per diem, even though those 50 miles or more outside of Boston have not had to drive there for official business in all that time. Now, after pressure from Mass Fiscal Alliance and on constituents such as yourself, the chambers will open up next Tuesday, 2-22-22.

Nice racket if you can get it.

When asked about the embarrassing siege, Gov. Baker blamed the state legislators.

“It’s their house. It’s their call,” the lame-duck governor said.

Let that sink in.

Here’s the guy who runs state government from the position of chief executive officer, telling the press that he doesn’t care (same thing) and that the legislature belongs not to We the People but to the hacks and deadbeats we “elect” to “represent” us.

That all-day sucker they keep licking is you yourself.

In making the announcement about the reopening, Senate president Karen Spilka (yes, we have a “Karen” in that job) and House speaker Ronald Mariano (wonder if he gives driving lessons?), said they “look forward” to seeing citizens back in the House.

Sure, and they also love gargling with razor blades.

Cheer up, folks.

It can only get worse.

Ladies and gentleman, you have a state government that fears you.

Mary Jane & Joe Kapanski’s elected government officials:

* Joe Biden: 40-year high U.S. inflation, spent well over $10 trillion federal dollars in his first year in the Oval Office, killed thousands of American energy jobs, called Putin a “KILLER”, threatened China with WW3 for threatening to invade Taiwan, and his bad boy son Hunter Biden ran an alleged money laundering business that brought home many millions of dollars from Russia and China.

* Kamala Harris: Called Joe Biden a racist on national television, but she is now his loyal Veep.

* Ed Markey: Lives in a wealthy suburb in Chevy Chase Maryland, but won reelection in 2020 by telling Massachusetts voters he is going to save the world with his would be $100 trillion Green New Deal propaganda that the world’s youth roll their eyes at.

* Elizabeth Warren: Says she is a fighter for Main Street, but she supports Joe Biden who took in more money from Wall Street and K Street than any other candidate in 2020.

* PAC Man Richie Neal: Rakes in millions of dollars from K Street corporate lobbyist firms, especially insurance companies.

* Governor Charlie Baker: Took no responsibility for the Covid-19 debacles at the Holyoke and Chelsea Soldier’s Homes that tragically took over 80 Veterans’ lives. If he had any decency, he would have apologized to the families for his administration’s mismanagement of the state’s Soldier’s Homes.

* Chrome Dome Adam Hinds: Lives in a $690,000 home in Amherst, Massachusetts. I thought Jo Comerford represented Amherst, Massachusetts in the State Senate!

* Trippy Country Buffet: Accomplished nothing in her first decade in Boston, but she is going bananas for the vote on her bill this week to give undocumented immigrants Massachusetts driver’s licenses.

* Smitty Pignatelli (Shitty Pigpen): Writes the loftiest op-eds in the Dirty Bird (Berkshire Eagle), but his nearly 20-year public record in Boston is anything but lofty.

* Paul Marxism: Votes for his political masters’ wishes and always supports his politically connected unions in Boston.

* The career Mayor John Barrett III: Made being a career politician into a fine art that will someday be an art exhibit at MASS MoCA.

* The Lovely Linda Tyer (Jimmy Ruberto): Continues Pittsfield politics’ “Business as usual” of raising municipal taxes (and fees and debts/liabilities) to record high levels that is crushing the city’s shrinking working class, shuts out the public from her administration’s secretive spending of over $41 million in Biden Buck$, did nothing during the 2018 Berkshire Museum’s controversial selling of tens of millions of dollars in donated historic artwork, including two paintings from Norman Rockwell, called North Street a work in progress, and lives in an $800,000 mansion in a Gated Community within feet of the Hancock border.

* The Pittsfield City Council: Infighting, tax hikers, rubber stampers, a few dissenters, and a lot of retribution.

* The Pittsfield School Committee: Level 5 inner city schools, Hill 78’s capped PCBs abutting Allendale Elementary School, over 650 students per academic year opting out to neighboring public school districts, Dr. Bill Cameron’s incredible academic and professional background that gives the city’s public school district a glimmer of hope for the future.

The Hildebeast, DNC, and FBI…illegally spied on a presidential candidate, and later the sitting POTUS. This was continued in 2020 under the Biden campaign. Durham report is finally bringing this to light, 5 years after the facts. These people all belong in prison.

Traitor Joseph Stolen already admitted on video tape of illegal quid pro quo with Ukraine when he was Barry’s VP, and while crackhead son #1 along with Kerry Pelousey and Romney offspring were involved in shady/bribed energy deals in Ukraine. He threatened Ukraine concerning a special prosecutor who was investigating Brumisa along with Hunter. These people all need prosecution.

The faux “Russian invasion” contrived by Biden is to take heat off his total failure as a “leader”, for over a year now; “he cares” about Ukraines border (ROFL!!!).

If that POS cared about Americans he would have closed the southern border to any and all criminal elements, and not undo the progress stopping the criminal hordes in place from 2016-2020.

The FISA warrant was real. 100 % unconstitutional use of nebulous anti terrorism backdoor snooping rules to spy on a political opponent. It sounds like crazy talk but its true and the fake dossier was the evidence they used to get the wire on Trump campaign person carter page, who was also surprisingly either ex NSA or CIA. The LA times covered this a bit. I think it is generally illegal to confirm a fisa as they are so secretive so this is why trump had all those weird ‘microwave’ comments in one of his press conferences when asked about spying. This is covered in LA Times, National Review etc. Hilary just as dangerous or more to democracy as Trump. Do we have a democracy – who know?

“During their discussion the topic turned to the recent Russia-Ukraine hysteria by the Biden regime. Maria Bartiromo suggested it might be to take attention away from the greatest political scandal in American history — the Democrat Party and Intel Community’s spying on the Trump Campaign and then later the Trump White House.”

“Maria Bartiromo: Was this a ruse? Was this whole thing an effort to take attention away from what Hillary Clinton did and what we know to be a complete hoax over this Russia investigation? What are your thoughts? Because I know Jake Sullivan worked for Hillary Clinton and he was one of the people who was pedaling this Russia collusion lie for 4 years. And there he is now with NSA coming up with this hysteria over Russia.”

“Senator Tommy Tuberville: They’re scrambling. There’s no doubt about it. I wouldn’t trust Jake Sullivan or Mayorkas or Secretary Blinkin as far as I can throw them.”

Small businesses have been intentionally hurt from the start of this pandemic. Large chain stores allowed to stay open while smaller shops were forced to close. It’s understandable now when we see the cozy relationship between big corporations and government.

Off Topic – Just read about Mayor Tyrant giving ARPA monies to the owners of the White Terrace apartment building! Excuse me, but what in the hell did the owners do with all the insurance payments they received from ALL the many previous fires that occurred? This is a big crock of crap from this Administration! If ARPA monies can be use for this, then why can’t it be used for the increasing taxes, water bill or pot filled roads? These funds should be used to benefit ALL taxpayers not just a certain few of Tyrant’s friends. This is crooked at is comes!

Shall we discuss the recent arrest and charging of Michael Rose for Murder. Released on PR after his dangerous detention ran out. So much for her Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Task Force taking on these cases in the name of public safety. They haven’t even ironed out a policy for bail on Domestic A&B charges. Trippy Country Buffet’s bill to give undocumented immigrants Massachusetts driver’s licenses passed the Massachusetts State House of Representatives today, 2/16/2022. She accomplished nothing in one decade, and this will be her first success on Beacon Hill. The Governor, Charlie Baker, said that the undocumented immigrants will be difficult to verify who they say they are, but what does that matter to the career politicians in Boston?

Jonathan A. Melle

—–

“In historic vote, Mass. House passes bill to allow driver’s licenses for residents without legal immigration status”
By Samantha J. Gross, Boston Globe Staff, February 16, 2022

The Massachusetts House of Representatives approved a bill on Wednesday that would allow residents without legal immigration status to get driver’s licenses. Buoyed by support from law enforcement, the measure won enough support in the heavily Democratic chamber to overcome a potential veto from Republican Governor Charlie Baker.

The tally was 120-36 and came after a 2-hour debate on the bill, which would allow residents to prove their identity with documents such as a foreign passport, birth certificate, and marriage or divorce records from any state or territory.

There was applause in the chamber after the roll call’s tally was announced.

The legislation explicitly says that people without legal immigration status will not be registered to vote as a result of getting a driver’s license — language that supporters say has helped bring more members on board.

The House voted down a handful of amendments. Other amendments were withdrawn before they were presented.

Now the bill goes to the Senate for a vote. If the Senate passes the bill, it goes to Baker, who has opposed versions of such legislation in the past.

If the measure becomes law, the legislation would make Massachusetts the 17th state to allow such driver’s licenses. The bill is backed by the majority of the state’s sheriffs and district attorneys, as well as the Massachusetts Major City Chiefs of Police. Advocates say the support from law enforcement was paramount for a proposal that never had a vote in the House, seen as the more conservative chamber.

The 160-seat House currently has 157 members, 156 of whom were present Wednesday.

The coalition of police chiefs helped supporters meet with lawmakers and weighed in on language that would affect not only the roughly 250,000 unauthorized immigrants who live in the state but also the law enforcement officers tasked with identifying drivers.

Letter to editor B Eagle.
Sorry about the long post part.

Robert Sullivan: What I believe the District Attorney’s Office owes the Berkshires

I write to commend The Eagle’s recent editorial titled “Our Opinion: District attorney’s sense of ‘responsibility’ raises serious questions.”
To the article’s “entreaty that Ms. Harrington focus on her deadly serious duties, we must add that it is time for her to forthrightly answer questions raised by her behavior,” I submit that such answers will not be forthcoming or will be hidden behind the false jargon of a non-answer. Therefore, I will take the opportunity to share my beliefs about how the serious responsibilities of the Berkshire district attorney should be handled.

I came to the Berkshires because the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, which at the time was filled with experienced prosecutors, gave me my first chance as a lawyer. I wasn’t new to prosecution, after spending the majority of law school interning in both the Essex County District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, but I was new to the Berkshires. I am proud to say that I have maintained a presence in the Berkshires ever since, initially with the District Attorney’s Office, and then in private practice, with a primary office in Pittsfield.

The Berkshires are now my home, and I speak out because of the tremendous amount of care I have for my community. Over the almost decade and a half of my time in the Berkshires, I have come across all walks of life and have enjoyed every moment of it. Now my county needs a change. It needs a chief prosecutor that doesn’t follow the trends of politics that reach far beyond our county, but rather focuses on the needs of the residents of Berkshire County. It needs a chief law enforcement officer who puts community safety and accountability over the false rhetoric of a certain political caucus or movement. Crime is on the rise, including gang and gun violence, drug trafficking and its impact on overuse and overdose, and the county needs a prosecutor that isn’t a politician. The district attorney is ignorant to this fact and I will not stand for it and its resulting increase in crime and its impact on our community, family and friends. Left or right, red or blue, the obligation of the district attorney is to be the chief prosecutor for the county, and that means doing everything possible to create a safe community.

The current administration has not and will not address these issues.
Why are shootings and stabbings on the rise? Why is the opioid epidemic on the rise at a higher rate than almost any other county in Massachusetts? I submit to you that it is the result of a lack of competence, aptitude and awareness on the part of the current district attorney. She has run her office like an endless campaign and lacks the awareness and experience to address these problems. Her priorities are political, her cases are mishandled and, when pressed as to why, she has no legitimate answer. She has next to no trial experience and therefore cannot lead and train her staff on an essential and fundamental prosecutorial skill. She wants to be involved in national political issues. She wants to spend her time tweeting from her official page about politicians that have nothing to do with Berkshire County. She even wanted to bring one in for her “celebrity” birthday fundraiser.
I don’t. I want safe streets, safe homes and a community that represents the best of what Massachusetts has to offer. I want an end to illegal firearms. I want an end to shootings and stabbings and the injuries and deaths they cause. I want an end to the dealing and trafficking of deadly drugs that so dangerously position our community for overdose. I want an end to the campaign culture in the District Attorney’s Office. I want an end to corruption.
I am prepared to do anything that is proper and necessary to achieve these results. Berkshire County does not need policies that pretend to tout progress and reform yet come at the expense of public safety and effective prosecution. The county needs a district attorney that can understand and adapt to the progress of our society, consider changes that may be reformative, but be dynamic and intelligent enough to make such decisions only when it is consistent with the safety of our community. I’m ready. Are you?

Robert D. Sullivan Jr. is an attorney and independent candidate for

February 16, 2022

I clicked on the Massachusetts State House of Representatives webpage:

https://malegislature.gov/Bills/192/H4461

and I scrolled down to the bottom of the webpage, and I clicked on the .pdf link to see how the Berkshire legislative delegation – Trippy Country Buffet, Shitty Pigpen, Paul Marxism, and the career Mayor – voted. The 4 Berkshire-based State Representatives all voted to give undocumented immigrants driver’s licenses on and after July 1, 2023.

The op-ed in The Boston Herald by Lou Murray against Beacon Hill lawmakers giving undocumented immigrants Massachusetts driver’s licenses points out the following facts:

* There was/were NO public hearing(s) this year of 2022 prior to today’s vote in the Massachusetts State House of Representatives

* There will be more highway deaths and hit-and-runs in Massachusetts way above the number of new illegal immigrant motorists with Massachusetts driver’s licenses

* There are an estimated 275,000 illegal immigrants living in Massachusetts

* Illegal immigrants will demand more and more state government benefits in Massachusetts, which has one of the highest growth rates of illegal immigration in the country compounded by the Biden administration’s open border immigration policies

* The already overtaxed Massachusetts taxpayers will be paying for it all

What do you think about the fact that the Massachusetts State Representatives who voted for the bill today (2/16/2022) to give illegal immigrants Massachusetts driver’s licenses did not hold a public hearing on the legislation this year of 2022? What do you think about the data from the over one dozen other states that gave illegal immigrants state driver’s licenses had automobile fatalities and hit-and-runs go up much higher than the number of undocumented immigrant new drivers? Shouldn’t have Trippy Country Buffet, Shitty Pigpen, Paul Marxism, and the career Mayor John Barrett III have heard from the experts and the people who opposed the bill before voting in favor of the legislation? What about Governor Charlie Baker’s statement that illegal immigrants are very difficult to verify who they say they are? Shouldn’t any and/or all of these issues mattered to these banal rubber stamp career politicians in Boston?

There should have been a clause in this bill that if anyone gets hit by one of these illegal immigrants with one of these gifted drivers licenses the state has to pay all their medical and repair bills as well as pain and suffering. Seriously!

I want to add a few comments to the post above regarding Robert Sullivan for DA. His lengthy editorial is lengthy, but it’s fruitless.

If Mr. Sullivan has only lived in Berkshire County for about 15 years, he definitely does not have a clear understanding of the history of drugs and crimes in this community.

These troubles are not the result of Andrea Harrington’s tenor as DA. These issues are almost 4 decades in the making now. And the increases are not locally exclusive. We are looking at rising crime rates and an intensified opioid epidemic across the country.

The current DA’s office may have a litany of valid complaints against it, absolutely. But we are looking at generations of social and economic malaise that has never been solved or redirected. This is not a feel-good community. There is nothing to look forward to or hope for. Any young person who wishes for a bright, modern and successful future gets the hell out of dodge.

A change in leadership at the DA’s office is not going to cure the disease that Pittsfield is suffering from. The city needs a lot more help than that.

BS, Phil.
Getting Harrington out of office is a great start to improving life in the Berkshires.
She can’t prosecute and has radical ideas about incarcerating lawbreakers.
Vote Sullivan!

No one with half a brain believes Pittsfield, Ma. is going to become a nice place to live any time soon. You do have the well paid PR people trying to paint roses over the ever rising decadence but it is not working. It is what it is.
The city is however awash in government cash, much of it sucked from the pockets of middle income people who just cannot escape. And then there are those who are hanging around to feed on that cash and they will tell you things are just peachy. They are the ones taking that cash and spending it on vacations far away from here. They are the ones who have zero intention of being stuck here when they retire..
The buzzards are here and there are more coming. Just watch the skies. When the mayor was elected she immediately moved as far from the inner city as she could possibly go, and that my friends spoke louder than anything I could ever tell you. It was a clear and concise message, though she was hoping you missed it.

Well, besides Sullivan calling the DA at 3:00am challenging her to late night debates . My research indicates he had never tried any case in Superior court. He worked in the DA’s office and was let go because he couldn’t hack it. Now he is the Republican nominee.

The state senate will probably vote on dl for illegals next week.
Write your senators and guv and express your outrage over giving drivers licenses to illegals – you know, people who are breaking the law by being in this country ILLEGALLY!

These Dems like TFB argue against voter ID, but want to give dls to illegals. Talk about a screwing over of the American people! Vote TFB OUT next election!

How about the Massachusetts State Senate chamber holding a Public Hearing on this issue of giving undocumented immigrants Massachusetts driver’s licenses? The State House of Representatives didn’t bother with a public hearing in the year of 2022 p0rior to yesterday’s vote. It is always rubber stamp votes on Beacon Hill!

Canadian Dictator Justin Trudeau is giving us a preview of what will soon happen in America. Trudeau is seizing bank accounts and even property of protesters in Canada and even anyone associated with these protestors, to show that he is in charge. Trudeau has said he admires the Chinese dictator because, oh boy, does he get a lot done. Biden is cheering on the fascist actions of Trudeau which should frighten all Americans into realizing what we are up against with this Marxist/globalist movement.

The sad thing is that many Americans don’t care. They’ve been brainwashed by the Marxist nonsense and they think big government lording over them will be a good thing. They have no idea what fascism really is and how everyone will become peasants under a oppressive system. They think because they aren’t working now and government is paying for it that it will always be that way. Only if they bow down to every demand of big government and the demands will only increase over time.

Hello Alan Chartock,

I was wrong when I wrote to you that Hillary Clinton may run for Governor of New York State in 2022. In fact, Hillary Clinton backs Kathy Hochul for Governor, who is the first woman Governor of New York and would be the first elected woman Governor of New York.

https://www.politico.com/news/2022/02/17/hillary-clinton-backs-hochul-00009922

Hillary Clinton is right that she is being unfairly persecuted in politics during this ugly time of conspiratorial politics.

Best wishes,
