HOW DOES TYER ADMINISTRATION TREAT DECENT CITIZENS WHO WANT TO SERVE ON BOARDS? THE PLANET HAS THE DETAILS

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, THE WEEKEND EDITION, JULY 15-7, 2022) — It was the worst of times. It was the “worst-er” of times.

What the Dickens does THE PLANET mean?

How about the dark cloud the Tyer Administration has pulled over nearly every aspect of municipal governance, save probably the city clerk’s office, which Michelle Benjamin runs with efficiency, politeness, openness (within bounds), and, above all, competence.

As for the rest of it, forget it. Case in point, the sorry state of the city’s  boards and commissions. Long neglected, under Tyer they have slipped into a state either of Blind Loyalty, oblivion, or coma. Those with decent memberships have no teeth. Those with teeth are stacked with administration suck-ups (see PCTV board). To recite the litany of boards that either have vacancies, expired memberships, or haven’t met since Caesar crossed the Rubicon would be impossible.

So how, you might ask, how does one become a member of a board?

Easy. You ask. You drop a line to the corner office and tell of your willingness to serve.

———- ooo ———-

Thus, what would you say about one good, honest man with a long record of community service who asked to join the Police Advisory Review Board (PARB) and at first was ignored and then ultimately blocked by the mayor, with key assists from Roberta YabbaDabba-Dews and Catherine Von Drake (Ludwig’s daughter), her two administrative squeezes? That’s the entire corner office in all its glory.

Psssst! BTW, don’t tell anyone because they wouldn’t want you to know, but our PARB applicant is white, post-middle aged, and male.

Sound the alarms!

Aroooooga, Aroooooga, Dive! Dive!

Not that we’re saying reverse racism occurs in Pittsfield. Never, would we say that, in the same way we would never put water in a Habitant soup. Here’s the skinny:

———- ooo ———-

Our public-minded lad, Ward Cleaver, sent a letter on April 1 to Tyer via YabbaDabba, asking appointment to the PARB. All emails are guaranteed genuine and verbatim:

Hi Roberta, is the police advisory and review board looking for members?
YabbaDabba answers back:
Hi Ward, I am sorry I’m just seeing your message. I will get more information and follow up with you on Monday.
Cleaver responds with thanks, then hears nothing for three days. He sends this on April 4 at noon:
So what’s going on Roberta? Does Linda hate my guts?
Hi Ward, I don’t have an update for you as yet, but once I do, I’ll be sure to reach out. Thank you.

CLEAVER: Linda has not responded to my email regarding joining the board. I did support her opponent in the last election. She’s consumed by pettiness not what’s good for the city. That being said I’ll continue to pass information along that might be helpful:)–

Maxon: Dave I passed it on .  As I mentioned we were have no say on who gets asked.  I know we have three new members being approved this month.

Cleaver returns serve at 11:54:

Ellen, one other thought. One of your new members, Mr. Powell is the uncle of the officer who is subject of the complaint regarding the November 2021 election. Perhaps he should recuse himself from this matter.

Cleaver refers to Dennis Powell. His niece is a Pittsfield Police Department officer. PARB’s enacting bylaws specifically prohibit members from having family on city payroll, including nieces and nephews. The question then becomes, by what right can Powell serve? Tyer owes the community, and specifically Mr. Cleaver, an answer. Don’t hold your breath, though, because the mayor is in business mode, which means if you disagree with her, you’re a goner.

———- ooo ———-

The emails continue:

CLEAVER, on 12:16 p.m., still April 11: You’re welcome Ellen. Full disclosure. Alex Blumin is a friend of mine . He called me after the incident at morning side. He was afraid he might be arrested if he returned to vote and he asked if I would accompany him when he returned to vote so I could be a witness for anything that might occur. I told him I would do so but first I had to do sign holding duty for candidate Kalinowsky.
So I met [Alex] at morningside and we went in without incident but I noticed that the police officer was seated and appeared to be sleeping. Her head was tilted back and her arms we hanging by her side. After Alex was given his ballot and went to the voting cubicle she woke up. Then they we walked over to the ballot machine Alex cast his ballot as I was making small talk with Sheila E? and the other person at the ballot machine desk. Because I have several friends who are police or retired police I chose not to mention the sleeping officer but because the incident has come before your board I’m letting you know what I saw. Thank you.

And that’s where the whole thing dies. When Cleaver tries to get some kind of answer, he finds this:

That, ladies and gentlemen, is how the “open, transparent” Tyer Regime treats decent folks who want to fulfill their obligations as citizens.

By the way, the city’s website currently lists four vacancies on the PARB.

Have a great weekend, everybody!

That particular board has seen people frustrated and resigning after serving short periods of being on it. Personally,I believe this board was a way of our leaders to quite the same crowd that they need votes and support from to make them feel like they will actually have a say in how policing is done in the name supposed justice.

there is no oversight in Pittsfield and if the mayor and barry have any say there is not going to be any. the city operates in an information vacuum and is tightly controlled for outside content

Pittsfield govt has morphed in the direction of a third world autocracy. tyer has it almost there

get out if you can…there is no way it gets better from here

But the Lovely Linda is a Queen who lives in a Mansion in Pittsfield’s only Gated Community where she parks her Lexus luxury car at night. We live to serve her in Pittsfield politics. We follow her edicts to pay for Pittsfield’s Level 5 public schools & substandard municipal services. We thank her for increasing city spending by 5 percent every fiscal year.

What’s all the whining about? Of course Tyer isn’t going to appoint some one from the Mazzeo’s camp to a board or commission. That is like inviting the fox into the hen house. It’s like “please come and try to make me look bad.“

Do you think Mazzeo would appoint Sakshaug to a board? Of course not.

if this is the “Dave” I think it is, he says nasty stuff about Tyer on social media all the time. You may not like Tyer, but she isn’t stupid. Apparently Dave is either stupid or naive.

There is going to be a couple “Debates” of sorts for the job of District Attorney. I’m not sure they will actually debate each other versus answer questions but at least there are 2 forums planned. The one to watch is hosted by the NAACP/ACLU. As a wise poster on here (it was Pat) said “The crime rates are unbelievable under this far left District Attorney and minorities have borne the brunt of the violence, so much for the far left caring about minorities.” I hope the community hears this loud and clear. The rights being violated are those of ordinary citizens who have to live with the torment of shootings mostly on the West Side. Harrington’s plea deals on gun charges and soft on crime BS is the problem. Harrington is the problem.

The cult Harrington belongs to does not believe in prosecuting as homicide drug dealers who prey on addicts with their deadly fentanyl and other substances. All over the country other DA’s treat overdose deaths as prosecutable homicides against those who sold and distributed the drugs. Not ours. All Harrington does is put out a press release. It’s mind boggling how much “do-nothing” is at the core of her phony prosecution strategy. Families of victims are shattered and she does nothing to help and everything she can to reduce incarceration. Then she has the nerve to say she stands up for harm reduction. She won’t and can’t do the the most important job there is to reduce harm – stop the drug dealers!!

According to today’s Eagle Harrington received the endorsement of the Women’s Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus, a group she helped found so she could endorse herself!! The Eagle reported it without mentioning that even though they did a story on it. She founded a group so it could endorse her when she was running for DA. SMH. ROFL. God help us all.

From the Berkshire Eagle 7/14
District Attorney Andrea Harrington and challenger Timothy Shugrue will meet for a pair of candidate forums

PITTSFIELD — Defense attorney Timothy Shugrue and Berkshire District Attorney Andrea Harrington will meet in two forums across the county as the candidates continue to make their cases for the DA’s office.
The campaigns have both agreed to two candidate forums in August. One will be an in-person event hosted by the North Adams Democratic City Committee and Williamstown Democratic Town Committee, and another forum will be held virtually and hosted by the Berkshire County branch of the NAACP, League of Women Voters and ACLU.
Harrington’s campaign said that a third debate is in the works. Campaign representatives said that the NAACP-hosted forum is set for some time in early August, though organizers have yet to publicize details about the event.
The North County forum is set for Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Greylock Community Club in North Adams. The North Adams Democratic City Committee said on its Facebook page that along with the DA candidates, an invitation has been extended to the candidates for the county’s state representative and state senator positions.

Harrington’s campaign said in a statement Thursday that the district attorney “is looking forward to participating in the upcoming debates and forums and talking about her proven record as District Attorney,” emphasizing her work on gender-based violence, the opioid epidemic and “racial disparities in the courts.”Shugrue’s campaign — which has focused on a platform of stricter drug crime prosecutions, diversion programs and combatting gun violence —  said in a statement that he is excited to come before voters and give them an opportunity “to see the differences between Tim’s vision of the office of District Attorney and the one that currently exists.”
Shugrue campaign representatives told The Eagle that the campaign has reached out to the Harrington campaign to try and organize a series of cross-county debates alongside the scheduled forums.
Shugrue’s campaign manager and wife, Joann, wrote to The Eagle that Shugrue is looking for candidates to meet face-to-face and ask and answer questions from one another — not just from a moderator.
So far, the forums represent the first time the candidates will appear side-by-side before voters cast their vote in the Sept.
6 Democratic primary.

Funny story…. I, during a portion of my homeless advocacy, came out to see this new jobsite trailer, that was to be used as a warming area for our homeless during the day, due to the Covid restrictions in place, eliminating the Library, Senior Center and Christian Center to go to stay warm. So, some 3 months later after promised by flat Tyer. Herself and her besties at the Christian Center for this trailer, with the finest of porta-potty is made a big deal, scissors for ribbon cutting and all. I am milling around, checking it all out, when as I was passing by Flat Tyer she looks at me and says in front of about 6 or so spectators, “You don’t like me do you”? I was dumbstruck! I had never, ever engaged in any interaction with her ever. Was it the way I was inspecting the trailer or just that good looking…lol. “It’s simply Politics, I said, happy to see you finally kept a promise”, of course, we only had maybe another month of harsh Winter. How odd that was for me!

I was wondering too. There’s something written somewhere about the right to petition your elected. Specifically the right to complain and grouse and sound off.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

Albeit it applies to Congress, but maybe the complaint pending should be referred to Human Rights Commission.

Have said it over and over, if this type of behavior by Tyer and her “office bouncers” occurred in the private sector they would be fired. Don’t know about anyone else but I am really sick and tired of being forced to accept this type of behavior! People say vote them out, yeah right! It has amazed me since the last election that everyone I know voted against Tyer, so gee, I wonder how she won??? Barry?? Whether it be local, state or federal government, how can people trust the voting system. Thought we were the land of the free but it is beginning to feel that we are the land of no voice, or if we do voice our opinions we are shut down. Look at the way Pee Pee Petie shuts down residents/voters and even city councilors that don’t agree with the Mayor’s view at the CC meetings. Something is really wrong with government actions in our Country, don’t care how it is fixed or which party does it, they all need to just stop lying, hiding and grandstanding their nonsense pompous egos. How are we suppose to trust these losers that are ruining our City and our Country?

With the mail-in ballots, we may NEVER be able to vote anybody out or vote them in for that matter. These mail-in ballots were so abused during the 2020 presidential election and I just saw an ad today saying to request your mail-in ballots. As far as I can see, you can request them for any reason, there is little oversight, and the vote counting can go on for days after the election or until the powers that be get the result they want. This is such fraud.

Odds are tyer will run against another good old boy who will just take over the reins and do the same shit she is doing. She is just a puppet after all. The good old boys do not care WHO the puppet is as long as they do as told. They may feel they have used her long enough and may be happy to toss her aside and put in a new face that the people will have false hope in for a while. In the meantime however, they want her to put as much of those millions into friendly pockets as she possibly can before any election.

Whatever happened to the Berkshire Carousel on Center Street in Pittsfield? Is this something else that Pittsfield has messed up? I remember watching the carousel horses being built for years at the Berkshire Mall and the anticipation was great for the grand opening. I heard there was a lot of mismanagement of the Carousel, but we never got any solid answers on just what happened.

The people involved in that labor of love project were actually people who care about Pittsfield. They donated their own time/ability/positive energy for the good of Pittsfield. And the moral of this is sad Pittsfield story is that ‘No good deed goes unpunished.’ But anyway, next time the subject of Pittsfield taxpayer funded Pickleball comes up, Bousquet on Dan Fox Drive is currently offering Pickleball memberships for just $29 a month for all those Pickleball aficionados. I’m watching these bicyclists in the county. It’s a miracle the numbers aren’t higher with run downs. One other incident is the lack of accidents on Hancock road. Amazing the low amount also. With this being said accidents on both will increase soon. Both are inevitable.

Keep your listening ears perked up. Linda has people looking into doing something about Waconah Park. “Apparently”, someone found a structure flaw in the grandstand and as always happens in Pittsfield, we are going full monty and rebuilding the whole thing. I know those bathrooms and club houses have been done over many times but she is not happy with them either.
Would not surprise me if she wants to build a whole new stadium and not in the current location. Paper said it will require public funding. Her consultants are putting together a “plan.”

The city wanted control over its finances. Their concern was not what it might add to tourism or happy children, but rather how much they could skim off any money it made from food, souveniers or any other ancillary income. This whole local govt thing is about “what’s in it for me”.

The Pittsfield PARB fabricated by scary tyer-barry-tyer-actingchiefwynn was intentionally designed as another layer of subterfuge. I’m not suggesting that the chosen PARB Board members were in on this farce, in the beginning. I’d rather hope that some of them actually believed this bogus board was legitimate, even though all the board members knew from the beginning that this board was a slobbering drooling toothless whimpering one-legged mongrel without the ability to even bark at PPD corruption/brutality. The wynn/tyer PARB was never going to affect any change for the better, because that’s the way wynn/tyer designed it. It was never manufactured to ferret out police misconduct, it wasn’t going to identify and expose bad cops in the PPD. tyer/wynn modeled their corrupt PARB code of silence on the monkey doctrine.

(1) ‘Don’t listen to the truth because it will disturb all your consoling lies.’

(2) ‘Don’t look at the truth; otherwise, your God will be dead, and your heaven and hell will disappear.’

(3) ‘Don’t speak the truth, otherwise you will be condemned, crucified, poisoned, tortured by the whole crowd, the unconscious people.’

(4) ‘Keep your pleasures, your joys, hidden. Don’t let anybody know that you are a cheerful man, a blissful man, an ecstatic man, because that will destroy your very life. It is dangerous.’

On January 6th, the Regime media, and even much of the Republican Party, immediately declared the Capitol riots an “armed insurrection,” an assault on democracy, and the worst day for the republic since Pearl Harbor or even the Civil War.
For months, Revolver has been doing the investigative work that America’s hundreds of other news outlets are too corrupt or too cowardly to perform themselves. We have watched the tape, read the indictments, dissected the news reports, and punctured the narratives.
Most notably, Revolver’s reporting changed the entire national narrative on 1/6 by focusing on evidence of foreknowledge and active instigation on 1/6 by elements of the federal government itself. It is this dark revelation that has generated howls of hysterical denunciation across the broad spectrum of Regime media outlets and mouthpieces.
On the anniversary of that now fateful day of January 6, 2021, it is more important than ever that American citizens learn the truth about what really happened.
Accordingly, we have reproduced the most classic Revolver News investigative reports to get you, your family, your friends, even your open minded acquaintances up to speed.
The Regime is attempting to use the false narrative of January 6 to label Trump supporters — and really anyone who dares to be critical of the Regime — as domestic terrorists.
One of the best ways to fight back against this agenda is to learn the truth in the articles that follow and share it with others.

Joe Biden met with Saudi Crown Prince MBS in Saudi Arabia on Friday, 7/15/2022. Joe Biden will give MBS billions of federal dollars in return for more Saudi oil and gas exports in return for Saudi Arabia buying billions of dollars in U.S. arms. That’s the U.S. economy in a nutshell! Pollution and War and the Almighty Dollar are always more important to the Swamp than the so-called Green New Deal and Human Rights and Democracy. It is sad when statements from the Saudis, are more coherent and honest about Biden’s failed US energy policies…….ready to buy home heating oil soon?

“Saudi Prince Turki Al-Faisal — who had previously served as head of Saudi intelligence and an ambassador to the U.S. — told CNBC that Biden was a “much-diminished president” compared with when he was inaugurated in January 2021.
“As an example, on energy issues, he came in with a policy to stop completely fossil fuel usage not only in the United States, but worldwide,” Prince Turki said. Now, Biden has a need for fossil fuel, “not only because of the Ukraine war, but also because of U.S. policy itself that shut down pipelines and stopped issuing….discovery of oil on U.S. soil,” Turki said.”

Only thing, some impeachments will be based on high crimes and misdeamoners, treachery, sedition, zombified incompetence. (Ballot/electoral fraud, private dealing with foreign enemies and evading foreign policy, deliberate undermining of borders, etc…. ) Some may be declared a reanimated zombie and articled 27’d away and used for military scientific research. Some will be spurious attempts to discredit conducted under with hearing-like publicity and initiated days before the candidate gets elected. ‘My first act will be to impeach the [M-*]”.

Clinton committed perjury in defending himself against his rape case which initiated the impeachment, low-bar (not really pertinent to conduct in office, an old rape, not one of his current rapes) excuse as it was, the charge did fit the bill*. I opposed that impeachment even though I begrudged the legitimacy of the accusation. And we know today (I didn’t believe it then) that the corruption in that admin was real.

*Further debatable: try to find any sociopath in high office who has committed a rape or similar crime in their past. We’d have only 25 presidents who could finish their terms, with at most 2 from the 20 century.

USA is a Kakistocracy – a government run by the worst, least qualified, or most unscrupulous citizens.
The word was coined as early as the seventeenth century. The word is derived from two Greek words, kakistos (worst) and kratos (rule), with a literal meaning of government by the worst

The Proud Boys have been totally exonerated by correspondence Jan 2021 by FBI mole, that Chenney and inquisition et al, never revealed as exculpatory evidence.

“THEY ALL LIED AND WE HAVE PROOF! Highly Sensitive DOJ Jan 6. Documents Leaked to The Gateway Pundit – FBI Confidential Human Source INFILTRATED Proud Boys, Ran FBI Operation on J-6, Reported They Were INNOCENT! — See Texts and Documents IN FULL!!”

A whistleblower has leaked a treasure trove of documents and text messages, some marked “Highly Sensitive”, to the Gateway Pundit. These documents contain incredible exculpatory evidence proving the Department of Justice was aware that a group of Indicted Proud Boys were innocent- yet are prosecuting them anyway.

You can find the entire dump of documents below, which includes hundreds of pages of transcripts of audio-recorded interviews with an Assisting United States Attorney, FBI Agents and their “Confidential Human Source”. The Confidential Human Source, or CHS, infiltrated the Kansas City Proud Boy Group for over a year and a half before the January 6th event and kept the FBI goons informed on the group’s activity.
Our source who is familiar with the FBI informant and has identified him as James Ehren Knowles.

Someone replied emailed me: Good letter – would like to understand your thinking on ‘shell games’.

My reply is that big government (billions of dollars in Boston and trillions of dollars in the Swamp) gives away a large percentage of the state and federal budgets to enrich the Financial, Corporate and Ruling Elites at the public trough. To illustrate, Beacon Hill lawmakers use (voluntary) regressive taxation schemes (i.e., the state lottery, casino gambling, excise taxes on marijuana, tobacco and alcohol taxes) in order to be able to giveaway a little less than $18 billion dollars per fiscal year in state tax breaks to Boston area big businesses that do not benefit most regions of Massachusetts, such as my mostly rural native Berkshire County. To illustrate, the Swamp deficit spends trillions of dollars per year, while the middle-class families in America have been systemically decimated over the past 50 years. The gap between the Haves and Have Nots now parallels the 1920s, which was one hundred years ago, and the tens if not hundreds of trillions of dollars in federal debts will be paid for by the forthcoming generations of American households who will have to struggle to not fall into our nation’s huge and always growing larger underclass.

Good catch by Optimus Prime: in her latest deception, Harrington is trailing around after Maura Healey attending events and knocking on doors to make it look like Healey “progressives” have endorsed her. Have they? It does look as though Healey has figured out that endorsing an unqualified politically ambitious incompetent and then putting them in charge of life and death situations was a bit of a boo-boo in the last election. Now that Harrington has a proven record of incompetence she’s radioactive. Let’s review. After three and half years Harrington has proven experience as a terrible prosecutor having lost every case she tried. The office record is abysmal – homicide cases lost or dropped, gun charges dropped or plead down, drug cases dismissed, failure to assemble witnessses for assault cases and on and on. Harrington repeatedly chooses to ignore criminal laws by overriding the legislature. Funding comes largely from outside Berkshire County. Employees have blown the whistle on everything from refusing to obey public records requets to refusing to obey campaign laws. New hires are given important functions like running the sexual assault unit, then mysteriously disappear to re-surface as defense attorneys. Ethical complaints have been rampant, from attacking a sitting judge to failing to pay taxes or renew a driver’s license – each of these accompanied by “spin” explainations. Harrington has antagonized police, the Sheriff and other Mass. district attorneys yet loves photo ops and endorsing political allies across the country at every turn. To summarize for Healey or anyone thinking of endorsing Andrea Harrington:

Report card:
Public safety: F
Fidelity to the rule of law F
community support F
personal integrity F
office morale F
teamwork with law enforcement F

On the day after Boudin was recalled last month, President Joe Biden told reporters, “I think the voters sent a clear message last night: Both parties have to step up and do something about crime, as well as gun violence.” He reminded everyone that his budget called for more money to hire and train more cops.

Here’s a man who knows what he is talking about. A recent letter to the editor by Mr. Evan Berkowitz focused on the foolhardy plan to renovate Wahconah Park. Many important points are made about the nostalgia, convenience, and ease of spectators watching a game. Seating at Wahconah is spectacular. All seats are close to the infield. You can see a pitcher’s curve ball break or a fluttering knuckleball. So what if the batter’s box faces west and there are occasional sun delays? All these things make Wahconah Park unique and historic. A few summer ball games called semi-pro baseball are all we have there now. This is good and pleases many people, including me. We have to understand we are not going to attract a professional baseball team. At our level colleges are now the low level of pro baseball. High school football – in another bonehead move – is now played on a field five miles from our downtown. And now a committee will be formed to decide on how to renovate Wahconah Park. I’m going to make a suggestion I made a few weeks ago on Dan’s blog. Save a few million dollars and install a few 3 X 5 pillars under the existing grandstand that will reinforce the entire structure. What we have there is unique. Let’s not ruin another piece of Pittsfield’s proud history.

And I’m not so sure historic Park could be messed with aesthetically but who gives a crap nobody goes to the games other than the politicking holes. But Chuck I wanna ask you a question why you’re on here if I may imagine June 21 parks commission they’re finally addressing the traffic and parking at Deming. Unbelievable they finally figured out there’s a problem been like that for 1000 years.

Kays, To answer your question, I’m on here because I am interested in community events and maybe adding knowledge and clarity to questionable issues. As you know, Planet Valenti is the daily public forum where issues are discussed and explored, often, with positive results adopted for the city’s progress. I’m sure most will agree there is nothing wrong with listening to public comments. If only we had done this before destroying parkland at Clapp, Deming, and the Common Parks. And now we have to worry about losing more park space for the ridiculous “pickleball” nonsense.

Deming has the 2 best baseball fields in Pittsfield and the worst basketball court.

I am with your idea of reinforcement of the grandstand and also been underneath the grandstands albeit in the early 1970’s. My best friend and myself attendended a majority of the Pittsfield Senators/Rangers from 1970-75 and Berkshire Brewers in 1976. We always snuck in and would ultimely end up in Big Pat McKernan’s office and he always laughed would give us odd jobs like batboy if the visiting team didnt have one or passing out all star ballots to pay for addmission a soda and hotdog. One of the least glamorous was going under the grandstands to retreive keys or wallets that may have fallen through the boards of the grandstand floor. Underneath was basically I-beams anchored in pile foundations. If the pile foundations are sound your plan is a no brainer. Here is a quick explaination of what a pile foundation is:

I cut my cable cord almost a year ago and have been watching NETFLIX ever since. Watched a docu-drama on Jim Boutin.
“The Battered Bastards of Baseball” (2014)
Granted, it said nothing about the Pits, but his book was a real pissah!
What that man could’ve done for the Pitts if so many people kept their fingers out of the pie!
THAT was GOBSIG @ it’s finest!!!!
Great man!!!!

Just read an article on the Grand Opening of the Goodwill Store in Allendale. People were lined around the building waiting to get in. This hoopla actually made me feel sad at what has happened to the City. Shows the state of the economy in Pittsfield. Tyer’s “Bouncer Roberta McCullogh Dews” attended the celebration for Tyer. Tyer must be on another much needed “vacation”. Meanwhile “Bouncer Dews’s” boss just keeps raising taxes in the City, oh, wait a minute her boss also handed out almost a million to “Bouncers” husband. What a sad state of affairs in this City.

When Big Lots relocated to Dalton Avenue and opened their new store, which is very nice, absolutely no hoopla for them. Unfortunately, Big Lots nice new store now smells of the pot growing building at Berkshire Roots. Can imagine purchasing a new piece of furniture from Big Lots for a good chunk of money, get it home and find it reeks of pot. Priorities in this City stink…no pun intended.

Quit whining about the weed smell. By now we’ve all had a chance to experience the air on Dalton Ave and your claims are exaggerated. At least it’s not toxic like all the GE smells we grew up with.

The stench reaches all the way up Allengate Ave. It is obnoxious and something a homeowner should not expect or tolerate.

How does one exaggerate claims about the smell of cannabis? Are you saying the report is false?

Charles I know you’re old enough to remember when Pittsfield had manufacturing jobs. These jobs were found in buildings that had lots of smells and noises and truck traffic and lights that sometimes were on all night. Only a few such places remain and if you want to chase them away then have at it.

Stay on topic. Are you agreeing the reports of marijuana stench is NOT exaggerated? If so, we can plod forward.

You know what exaggerated means, right? Look it up. I stand by that assessment.
