STATE OF THE STATE, OF THE COUNTRY? FOLKS, IT’S BAAAAAAAAAAAD

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY JULY 13, 2022) — Today we focus on regional and national issues, more specifically state and fed. That’s why Edison invented the “roundup column,” to address THE PLANET‘s challenge of too many stories, not enough space or time.

STATE

Ball(ot) Busters — Those who live in the Bay State know of its many treasures. Literally, our Commonwealth gave birth to the United States of America. In The Berkshires, we have natural beauty unrivaled by anything else in the country. We also have the nation’s worst politics, all Democrat and Demagogue. How many stupid ideas can the bums on Beacon Hill inflict upon the Kapanskis? How about making permanent voting changes forced by COVID, changes that will make suspect every close election going forward? The Supreme Judicial Court dismissed a lawsuit filed by state GOP chair Jim Lyon against secretary of state Bill Galvin over the issue of universal absentee balloting. Under this plan, Massachusetts will send out 4.5 million absentee ballots, one for every eligible voter. The ballots have few safeguards against cheating. What could possibly go wrong? Lyons says he will ask the Supreme Court for an emergency hearing. Leet’s hope the Supremes answer the call.

Freebies for Criminals — Still on state voting, Democrats not only want to give illegals the right to drive but the right to vote. The euphemistically named “Work, Family, and Mobilization Act” wants to put a live ballot in the hands of every illegal alien who passes a driver’s test. The better name for the measure is “Here’s Another Freebie for Criminals Act.” THE PLANET liked it better in the old days, where fixing elections and cheating came more honestly by virtue of a $5 or $10 bill.

“Foul Share” Amendment — Speaking of stupidity, have you seen the lawn signs for the “Fair Share” amendment, which snowflakes want to put on the ballot. The only way you can support this measure is if you know nothing about economics or if you’re a crooked politician wanting to preserve hegemony. Fair Share is just the latest in a long string of progressive attacks on “rich people.” The simplistic pussyhat formula rads: “wealthy” = “bad.” The Massachusetts Teachers Association favors this. What more do you need to know? Stick an extra tax on all incomes more than $1 million a year. Supporters actually believe the politicians’ claims that all of the $2 billion raised will go to transportation and education. If you fall for that, THE PLANET has some penny stock in a uranium mine for sale. Did you ever consider than anyone making more than a million did so, possibly, because of smarts, ambition, and hard work? Or that it’s exactly such people who create most of the private sector jobs? Or that business owners will pass on extra costs to consumers, resulting in more money out of your pocket, fewer jobs, and loss on tax revenue elsewhere. Sorry. “Fair Share” is nothing but another money heist by back-benchers such as Barrett, Mark, Farley-Bouvier, and Pignatelli, who are afraid to defy the leadership. Vote it down, folks.

NATIONAL

It Was a Very Good Year — In a recent speech, Syracuse Joe told us the mass murder in Parkland occurred in “1918.” Wow, what a tough year! Uncle Sam got involved in World War I, and we also had to deal with the Spanish Flu. On the bright side, the Red Sox, led by star pitcher Babe Ruth, won the World Series.

How Old is Ol’ Joe? — Joe is so old that he just learned Dr. Fauci canceled his blood type. He’s so old that when he orders a three-minute egg, he has to pay up front. Brandon old, is he? He’s so old that he’s got a single-digit SS number. But seriously, folks, when the New York Times, better known as the official house organ of the Democrat Party, starts ragging on Joe because of his stumbles, you know we’re talking about a dude well past the “use by” date. The Times wrote about Brandon: “He often shuffles when he walks, and aides worry he will trip over a wire.” Also, when you try to shake hands with someone no one else can see, maybe we need to rethink this whole democracy bit.

VP Heebie-Jeebies — Of course, every decent American prays for Joe’s health, or need THE PLANET remind you that for VP the greatest country in the world is a giggling lightweight who blew her way to the top and is about as qualified to lead the country as Kim Kardashian is to discover the equations for the Theory of Everything? It’s baaaaaaad. Of course, Biden insists he’s going to run in 2024. Right. He says that so he won’t be called a Lame Duck, even though that’s what he is. The question now if not will Syracuse Joe run in 2024 but will he be able to finish out his first term? Let’s hope he does, because if he doesn’t, we get the laughing hyena. And if by some chance a Leon Czolgosz doesn’t pay a visit to Kamala, we get Nancy Peolsi, 80, speaker of the house.

It’s Still the Economy, Stupid — Forget abortion being the turn-around for Dems in the November mid-terms. No chance. A Monmouth poll issued a few days ago ranks the issues most important to the American people. They are:

  • Inflation, 33%
  • Gas prices, 15%
  • The economy, 9%
  • Paying bills, 6%
  • Guns 6%

Abortion doesn’t even crack the top five. No, the only chance they have, in THE PLANET‘s judgment, is for Joe Biden to declare soon that he will not seek re-election. This will clear the decks for the Dems to put up someone who will have a shot in 2024. Someone like Alfred E. Neuman.

Beacon Hill lawmakers still have not passed a state budget for fiscal year 2023 that began 12 days ago on July 1st, 2022. On Wednesday (7/13/2022) afternoon, the State House of Representatives – including the Berkshire’s state legislative delegates (hacks) Trippy Country Buffet, Shitty Pigpen, Paul Marxism & the Career Mayor – will mostly likely all vote to rubber stamp Speaker Ronny Mariano’s state tax giveaway bill authored by outgoing Governor Charlie Baker with legislative amendment riders to shovel even more tax dollars to the politically connected Boston area big businesses who fill the corrupt career politicians’ campaign coffers with a lot special interest money. Beacon Hill lawmakers are still sitting on billions upon billions of dollars in surplus state cash, while they are still scheming on the late $50 billion state budget.

In the Swamp, Joe Biden will visit Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince MBS later this week, despite his 2020 attacks against Donald Trump 2 years ago for his (Trump’s) close ties with the “Pariah Saudi State” which has the largest oil and gas reserves in the world, and his (Biden’s) promise to stand up to MBS about his abusive record of Human Rights violations and the Saudi’s involvement in the 9/11/2001 terrorist attacks against the U.S.A. Donald Trump must be fuming about Joe Biden’s 2020 attacks against him, and Joe Biden’s outright hypocrisy on the matter. So are a lot of people who believed Joe Biden’s lofty promises that he will be breaking by visiting Saudi Arabia and MBS later this week. So much for the Democrats Green New Deal nonsense because the Swamp wants more Saudi oil and gas to lower energy prices prior to the 2022 midterm elections that heavily favor the Republican Party.

Trump’s pre-political playboy ways and mean tweets really upset and offended JM.

Actually, I think Clinton and Biden were more playboylike. Trump was busy developing Chelsea lower Manhattan and Atlantic City which believe it or not, probably precluded farting around. His tweets were accurate which of course makes them mean.

“I can post at least a dozen pictures of Trump with Epstein if you like.”
I want to see the one with him on Epstein’s plane. Epstein insinuated himself into everyone’s circle.

“And Trump is grinning from ear to ear in every one of them”
Smiles are not evidence of culpability. He may have been also grinning when he tossed Epstein out of Maralogo when he discovered he was a creep.

Dan, you are 100 percent correct in all you say. Country has been going one way since I watched a man land on the moon – Down the shitter. . And some nit wit councilors want an honorary street naming program – only going to cost 100-150 for each street sign. If the city is stupid enough to do this, and they probably are, tthen Valentine Road should be named Valenti Boulevard and Allen Street should be named Tax and Spend Street, and North Street named Bicycle Boulevard, and Tyler Street named Tired Street, and finally, Linden should be named Scooter Linda.

I know it’s not in your ward, but any chance we could rename Adam Street, to Barry’s Bruisers Blvd?

It’s an honor to have a street named after a person. And I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving than Pittsfield’s finest vigilante, Barry Tyer.

On a frigid January, Sunday night, at 3AM, Barry single handedly suppressed criminal activity and prostitution in the First Street, Cumby’s parking lot. This was a first. Cumby’s parking lot at 3AM is usually awash with the “houseless,” prostitutes, and junkies, looking for a score.

Fair Share is proof we are overtaxing the people. We have run out of options and are now going after vapors. The billionaires will not pay. They are ultra sensitive to lost money, pay significant cash for accountants to prevent erosion, and they will evade the tax. The premise is that economic rent (unearned income) is taxable up to 70% without deterring the work behind it. However, States, lacking global reach, might be limited in seizing that income.

The real problem is that once instituted, the State will come back to the regular person full of justification and a refreshed appetite.

Fentanyl is now being found in rainbow colored candy sold to children. Don’t let children or anyone pick up what looks like just a folded dollar bill because it could be filled with Fentanyl. At least 15 people on the terror watch list were apprehended trying to cross our open borders just recently. These are just the ones who were caught and it shows that terrorists are taking advantage of our open borders to infiltrate our country to plan attacks. Our country may never recover from just 2 years of this Biden administration. He has 2 more years to continue to destroy it.

The “Work, Family, and Mobilization Act,” sponsored by our own Tricia Farley-Country Buffet (D-illegal immigrants), is simply a way around any court challenges to allow illegals, or their democRAT representative, to cast a vote. Nothing more, nothing less. It has absolutely nothing to do with working.

As I wrote on here a few weeks ago, in order to work legally and pay taxes in the US, every worker has to fill out a federal I-9 form, before they begin working at any legitimate job. You need a social security number to complete an I-9. Will TFCB sponsor illegals getting social security numbers next? If you’re conflicted about this, remember, “even Chief Wynn said it’s safe.”

The “Foul Share” amendment is another joke. I equate this legislation to the crime of shoplifting in progressive led DA areas, like the Berkshires. If I’m the owner of a company that’s getting ripped off on a regular basis and nothing is getting done about it, I have two options. First, close shop and move to an area that respects law and order and is business friendly. Or, if I can’t move, I will raise the prices of my merchandise and pass the loss onto the consumer.

It’s the same principle of “Foul Share.” And you know when Pocahontas Warren is pushing this on a national level, you not only run away, but you run away from it as fast as you can.

I’ll answer your questions Umbrella and then I’ll tell you where you can stick your umbrella.

First off, how are you going to properly ID these people? They come over with only the new clothes George Soros provided for them. No paperwork and no identification. Let me guess, we can ID them from the ID they purchased off the internet? Great idea buddy, because nobody lies. Especially an illegal immigrant.

Next, because of foolish laws like this, I am now required to purchase a federal Real ID to travel by the end of 2023. You know why? Because they positively KNOW who I am. They don’t anymore with states allowing illegals to have state issued DL’s and ID cards without proper paperwork.

The MA SJC just allowed for mail-in ballots. If an illegal has a DL, they have to have an address, right genius? What gets mailed to that address? A ballot. But sure, it’s not about voting.

You must be used to hanging out with Warren, Dennis and Shirley’s, crowd. Talking about kids doing or selling drugs and absentee fathers. My adult kids are educated and gainfully employed.

May I suggest you sit on your umbrella and then open it up. If you have any trouble, contact the city council prez and/or VP. Both are well versed in this.

But MA, think of the benefits. Got a bad deal, want a change? EASY!! Sell everything bury the cash. Walk across the border and join a group coming in. Be sure to be picked up by ICE (evade Texas Rangers) and say nothing just dumb “I don’t understand” expressions and choose a new name. Grab the cash, choose a new town in MA (or any state that doesn’t recognize identities) and you’re on your way.

What percentage of people on the road have no insurance? A WHOLE BIG BUNCH OF THEM. Anybody looking out for the poor sap who gets clobbered by someone driving without insurance and does anything really happen to a person who causes bodily harm while driving without isurance? Probably not. Too woke a concept.

I just don’t think this is an insurance issue. You don’t need to purchase to get an license.

So you would be OK getting hit by some bozo that has a license but no insurance? I think they should set up road blocks twice a week on random roads just checking vehicles to see if they are insured. No insurance? Impound the vehicle and sell it and put the money toward compensating their victims. Make it a law….

Why do you assume these licenses will be used to purchase auto policies? Weak assumption.

The state already can stop anyone and relieve the occupants of all cash and property that the officer feels he needs more than you. Not sure I’d give them more liberty to take your car too.

Why is it that progressives are so strident? Impound, blacklist, seize, doxx, public spectacles of arrest and shackles, terror labeling and monitoring….

This is from IBershires referring to last nights council meeting. Any idea what the property tax exemption talk refers to??

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Ordinances and Rules subcommittee unanimously put the stamp of approval on three ordinance changes in just 40 minutes on Monday.

These include a change in taxicab rates, an amendment of the age for property tax exemption eligibility from 68 to 65, and a request to develop an ordinance establishing a process for commemorative and honorary street designations.

I don’t think it’s an exemption. I think it’s a forbearance involving payment plans.

Generally speaking the change lowers the age eligibility for which the city will provide payment plans to seniors to pay the bills they no longer can afford after raising another 5% on top of last year’s extravaganza. I’ll be looking for it on the accrued earnings column.

A short term assistance – it is helpful and easy to implement and will stave off for now trouble. But, it is not a solution. It sits between a fix and a ‘controlled delusion’. I’d like to see property tax caps based upon income which I believe exist in Vermont.

“Oh but then we (city) won’t be able to pay the bills” to which I say, look who’s complaining now?

Viva la France!

Every time I look down on this timeless town
Whether blue or grey be her skies
Whether loud be her cheers or soft be her tears
More and more do I realize:

I love Paris in the springtime
I love Paris in the fall
I love Paris in the summer when it sizzles
I love Paris in the winter when it drizzles

I love Paris every moment
Every moment of the year
I love Paris
Why, oh why do I love Paris
Because my love is near. – Cole Porter

The recall effort to get rid of another far left George Soros appointed District Attorney is well on its way. This is the second major city District Attorney in California to face recall. One was already removed from office in San Francisco. The crime rates are unbelievable under this far left District Attorney and minorities have borne the brunt of the violence, so much for the far left caring about minorities.

Tim Shugrue has done more to help victims in one single day of his decade as a prosecutor than Harrington has accomplished in almost 4 years as DA. She single handedly took the Berkshires back decades to a time when the prosecution was inept and defense attorneys were running laps around them making tons of money. I hope people are disgusted enough to vote her out.

Sadly, Andrea Harrington has also set back women elected officials in Berkshire County. It will be a long time before anyone wants to trust a clusterf%ckerella like Harrington and expect them to stand up to felons.

Massachusetts makes mail-in ballots permanent. Is this why candidates aren’t worrying about campaigning anymore in this state? They know the fix is in. This is disgusting. Charlie Baker approved of this? Is this the secret weapon of these unpopular candidates that are currently running for office like our District Attorney?

Baker veto’d it and legislation over ride the veto. Election 2020 decertification will NULLIFY all legislation voted by the illegal candidates. btw, data clearly show that the Boston metro DRIVES ALL ELECTION RESULTS FOR ALL OF NEW ENGLAND, for at least the last 30 years. Nothing will EVER change until the Demoncrat machine is eliminated.
