PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

[ED. NOTE: On Monday afternoon, Aug. 8., at a secret location on a mountaintop high above the city, THE PLANET will be sitting in from of a couple video cameras and in between sheriff candidates Tom Bowler (incumbent) and Alf Barbalunga (challenger) filming a one-hour conversation-cum-confrontation. Shortly thereafter, at a time and date TBA, we will publish that debate on social media. It will be can’t-miss viewing. We can promise you that.]

———- ooo ———-

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY AUG. 3, 2022) — THE PLANET, first in, has cracked D.A. Andrea Harrington’s actual campaign slogan. You ready?

“Duck and Cover.”

Sound familiar?

It’s perfect for the dizzy D.A. She said she “is excited to participate in numerous forums between now and the primary.”

Right. That’s why she’s ducking ever honest forum where she would appear live, in person, facing real-time questions from someone other than Helen “Handgun” Moon or some other pathetic, suck-up hack.

She’s so delighted she’s ducked and covered (cowered or coward is more like it) from her two most important face-to-face showdowns with relentless challenger, attorney Tim Shugrue. She will probably hide from two others before her shambles of a re-election bid gets mercifully put out of its misery on Sept. 6 in the Democrat preliminary election. Shugrue’s victory will come despite what Wrong Way thinks will be the August Surprise that will miraculously turn the tides in her favor. Ain’t gonna happen.

THE PLANET refers to her soon-due report on the D.A.’s investigation of the death of Miguel Estrella at the hands of the Pittsfield Police Department. We thank WAMC‘s Josh Landes for scooping that the D.A.’s report is on deck.  The PPD’s internal probe concludes that its officers acted appropriately. The public hasn’t seen the D.A.’s report, but reasonable speculation tells us to expect a “hang ’em high” response that will be “completely at odds” with the PPD. Scuttlebutt says the report will contradict the police not based on the facts but based on the politics. Don’t tell anyone about the exclusive “leak” to THE PLANET, because that might cause Harrington to conduct another investigation to see who among “her people” is/are talking.

———- ooo ———-

THE PLANET DEBATE STILL ON; HARRINGTON WILL DUCK

On Aug. 17, THE PLANET will be sponsoring, hosting, and moderating a showdown between Harrington and Tim Shugrue. We sent out invitations last week. Shurgue, who’s campaigning wall-to-wall, immediately accepted. We heard nothing from the play-acting D.A. You know the drill. When the phone doesn’t ring, we know it’s Wrong Way not getting back to us.

Reason: She’s terrified to be sitting in THE PLANET‘s hot seat facing Shugrue and having to defend a shameful record that’s the direct result of her utter lack of experience and the way in which turned turned the D.A.’s office into a strictly political operation. Why, if she sits with us, she will actually have to face honest questions. High-and-tight chin music, not softballs. And those who know our style know we’re not afraid to zero in when politicians hem, haw, and attempt “non-answers.” Check your memory banks, for example, Kinnas v. Kerwood for State Senate.

———- ooo ———-

THE EAGLE DEBATE: CANCELED BECAUSE HARRINGTON DUCKED, TURNING A DEBATE INTO A DEBASE

In another exclusive, THE PLANET has the details of the dogged attempt by the Berkshire Eagle to host and sponsor an Aug. 10 debate between the two candidates. On Monday July 18, the Eagle send invitations to Shugrue and Harrington, giving them until Wednesday noon to respond. Shugrue accepted promptly. The Eagle did not hear from Harrington. The Eagle gave Wrong Way another day. No reply. Then they gave her yet another day. We’re talking Friday now with two extensions. Nonetheless, the alleged “professional” D.A. had neither the decency nor the stones to give the newspaper an answer.

“I didn’t hear again from the Eagle until Monday (7/25),” Shugrue told THE PLANET.  “They told me that [Harrington] ‘had concerns’ about the debate. What ‘concerns,’ they didn’t say. They asked me if I would do a zoom hearing with the Eagle and the Harrington campaign on Wednesday 7/27 at 1 p.m. to discuss any concerns either campaign had with the debate and I agreed.”

Well guess what, folks.? Shugrue showed up for the zoom meeting on time. Guess who was yet-again a no show? She ignored four requests/deadlines from the Eagle and didn’t think it was important enough. THAT, ladies and gentlemen, better than any other single incident in her embarrassing turn in office, tells you, the electorate, what the D.A. thinks of you. She thinks you’re rancid shit. Your chance to tell her what YOU think of HER comes Sept. 6, and this time, the voters will speak loud and clear.

Pack your bags, Sweetie!

———- ooo ———-

While Harrington hides, Shugrue is on the stump like a man possessed.
  • He accepted THE PLANET‘s invitation for a debate, which, despite the D.A.’s no-show, will go on as planned. We will sit down for an hour, Shugrue in one chair and, representing Harrington, a potted plant. In point of fact, we think the plant will do better than the D.A. herself. That debate will be taped and presented on social media (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and the like) shortly thereafter. It will be available 24/7 for viewing until Election Day.
  • He accepted the PCTV debate for 8/15.
  • He has a meet-and-greet in Lee on 8/16 in Lee.
  • On 8/18, Shugrue will appear at Mass MoCA,
  • On 8/24, Shugrue will be in North Adams for the Dems Forum.  [ED. NOTE: Shugrue told THE PLANET he does not know if Harrington Campaign accepted the PCTV debate or the NA Dems forum. If she sticks to the pattern, that will be two more in which this petrified princess will “Duck and Cover“].
  • This past weekend, Shugrue appeared at the Lanesborough Farmers’ Market Saturday morning, Bousquet Mountain Family Day Saturday afternoon, and the Kohnlenberger Fire Charity Event Sunday at Proprietors Lodge.
  • Today (Monday) he’s meeting with Adams First Responders.
  • Tuesday, he does a podcast up north then shows up at the countywide National Might Out.
  • Wednesday, the NAACP, League of Women Voters and ACLU forum on Wednesday via zoom (6 to 8 p.m.).
  • Thursday, 4 to 7:30 p.m., he’s in Adams for “Coffee on the Court,” then it’s on to the Barrington Car Show.

“We are campaigning like lightning,” Shugrue said. “There’s NO resting!”

Meanwhile, Harrington has a photo op with the descendants of O.B. Joyful’s cats in the basement of her Richmond home.

THE PLANET asks you: Who WANTS it more? Who DESERVES it more? Which of these candidates is campaigning fearlessly and in the open? Which one is hiding, cowering behind the insulation of an inexperienced, muddled office? Which candidate has decades of experience both as a defense counsel and as a prosecutor? Which one has almost no court experience and can’t find the Berkshire County court house with GPS and a bomb-sniffing dog?

Remember, folks, to “Duck and Cover” on Election Day, Sept. 6.

Wrong Way is so scared with having to explain her failing grades and how those grades came about as DA. She knows this would happen if she showed up to any in person debates and had to showcase her top prosecutor IQ. They would be completely exposed for many to see during in person debates. Grades that resemble a breathalyzer readout is what she
has.

I believe Berkshire County District Attorney Andrea Harrington is right to avoid blogger Dan Valenti, as well as the Dirty Bird (Berkshire Eagle), because they have only provided unfavorable news/blog and editorial coverage of her during her a little over 3 years and 7 months tenure in elected office. Blogger Dan Valenti has written horrible things about D.A. Andrea Harrington, including him blaming her and like progressive prosecutors for the Uvalde, Texas school shooting incident, as well as saying that he will be the first in line to piss on her political grave. As for D.A. Andrea Harrington’s forthcoming report on the PPD shooting of Miguel Estrella, I believe that Pittsfield Police Chief Michael Wynn was wrong to state retroactively in his police report that the mentally ill suspect was not a “person in distress” at the time of the use of deadly force. My hope is that D.A. Andrea Harrington will set the record straight in her forthcoming report. I am not happy to read about Pittsfield’s rise in violent crime, daily shootings, and over 1,000 gang members living in the inner-city, but D.A. Andrea Harrington’s progressive approach to prosecuting violent crimes is not the main cause of Pittsfield’s longstanding dangerous downtown and the “Ring of Poverty” neighborhoods that surround North Street’s “Social Service Alley”. How many Pittsfield politicians prior to Tim Shugrue have promised to fight violent crime without success? It has been decades of failed Pittsfield politicians losing the battle against the “Whack A Mole” violent criminals who rule the streets in Pittsfield!

First and foremost the Eagle endorsed her last election. Don’t forget that, that are smartly changing direction and calling her out for being what she is… horrible at her job

Please enlighten us all the way from NH what her positive attributes and accomplishments were. Has it ever occurred to you, Jonathan, that they are reporting accurately and she really hasn’t done much of anything worthwhile other than spend her time in office campaigning and trying to move up the political ladder?

Nice!! This would have been the headline of the debates, if Andrea “Wrong Way” Harrington, wasn’t running scared.

First, we had “rumble in the jungle,” followed by “The Bolt vs the dolt.”

Way to show that “woman power” Andrea. You’re really setting a great example to the young girls you claim to inspire. When the going gets tough, Andrea tucks tail and begins running away.

There was a letter to the editor a week or so ago where some Nate Giles fool called Shugrue a racist for wanting to prosecute crimes other than major, violent crimes. The whole “Broken Windows Theory”.

Heaven forbid our DA prosecute those who rob convenience stores, deal fentanyl and other low level crimes. Apparently he’s happy with Andrea’s progressive progress and won’t be voting to move backwards

What a moron with a complete lack of awareness of what’s happening in the city around him. This is why Andrea ONLY does PR when she has at least 1-2 POCs surrounding her. She’s a complete hack and I’d love the opportunity to say that to her face. The whole crooked smile and all

Most victims of violent crime aren’t the wealthy white voters of the Democractic primary. They are young adults, racial minorities, black and brown citizens in the neighborhoods impacted by Harrington’s catch and release policy and most notably by her incompetent prosecution. They are the victims of bad guys who need to be taken off the street. Under Harrington, the main way that is being accomplished is through murder by other bad guys. Welcome to Berkshire County, the land of lawlessness and feeble prosecution.

Example: Under Andrea Harrington a repeat offender with a loaded glock that he admitted to owning should have been off the street but she personally tried and lost the case. Meet Jamel Nicholson, one of four arrested for the murder of Reymon Delacruz-Batista.
Andrea Harrington’s response: “I think it was a very positive experience for me,” she said, “and I’m happy that I got to represent the commonwealth in this case.”

Was this clusterf&*% a positive experience for you as a citizen of the Berkshires? Andrea Harrington lost the gun case because she was unprepared because she doesnt have the slightest idea how to put together a case for trial. Where is the outrage? What a ridiculous piece of grandstanding. Why would the DA prosecute a simple gun possession case in the first place? Is she going to prosecute the murder of Reymon Delacruz-Batista for a positive experience for Andrea too? God save us.

DA Andrea “Wrong Way” Harrington would rather take a selfie with Donald Trump, than attend an in-person debate against Tim Shugrue, with Dan moderating.

Dan, she knows you would steer her off her progressive talking points and she would freeze. Example:

D: I’d like to bring you back to the Simon’s Rock racial kidnapping, which wound up being a hoax. Do you remember this case?

WW: Once the radical right Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, I assembled my top staff to prevent any prosecutions of…

D: Excuse me, DA Harrington, this has nothing to do with the question I asked, nor any local issues. Do you remember the Simon’s Rock incident?

WW: Our progressive views are being attacked once again by the establishment. This time, outside right wing sources are trying to influence….

I’m sure Wrong Way would have “racially biased policing” and “not prosecuting low-level offenses,” as talking points. No statistics to back up the first and punishes those who she claims to strongly represent in the second. You know, victims. If a store owner is getting items stolen from him/her, day after day, which results in a loss of profit and potential to lose the business, isn’t that store owner a victim?

Andrea Harrington is just taking campaign cues from Joe Xiden. Hide in your basement and all will be good.

Tim’s people better keep an eye on the “misadventures of Barry Tyer in city hall.”

Posted on PPD’s police log today that deceased Miggy’s girlfriend was arrested last evening for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. She was traveling with another fine “gentleman” who was charged with loaded guns, ammunition, drugs, liquor, marijuana, resisting arrest, hiding evidence plus a few more. Guess she has moved onto bigger and better, grieving for Miggy must be over. Wonder how DA Nipples will turn this around, probably will say the PPD is picking on them!?

Aren’t you leaving out the most important fact? The police showed up to intervene but were told to go away by GF and ME and the GF said she was responsible for him. The shooting happened after a hostile encounter. Leads one to think perhaps that ME was not concerned for his well being and the GF simply did not like cops unless she calls them and she gets to order them around. This young generation hates everything that isn’t designed to work like a mouse.

That’s important even if it does not settle the facts which are not known to you since you likely were not there.

As long as her husband keeps hauling in millions of dollars, he’s a good husband. If the money supply stops, it wouldn’t be a happy marriage. Nancy likes lots of money, it’s a weakness not a strength since she also wants the majority of the country to live a much reduced lifestyle.

Just drove by it on Vibrant & Dynamic North Street in front of the YMCA. Looked like a Birdy accident involving underage kids. Several police cars, fire truck and ambulance. With all the emergency vehicles on North Street, a car could barely get by. The greatest excitement though, was…….guess who rode his electric bike to the accident scene…….no other than our Vibrant and Dynamic Ricky Rumpus. Hope he is proud of himself, wonder how he would feel if it was one of his children?

Here in the world that matters (the actual Berkshires) the league of women voters does not like Andrea Harrington.

To the editor: In a July 29 Berkshire Eagle article on campaign updates, incumbent District Attorney Andrea Harrington’s campaign is quoted saying they are “seeking the Democratic nomination and will not participate in forums being run by right wingers.” (“Berkshire DA candidates spar over debate events while sheriff candidates revisit their records on substance abuse treatment,” Eagle, July 29.)
As one of the sponsors of a debate that DA Harrington’s campaign initially chose not to participate in, we feel compelled to clarify that the political leaning of the League of Women Voters of Central Berkshires should not have been a reason to avoid our invitation. The campaign of Timothy Shugrue, DA Harrington’s opponent, immediately accepted an invitation to a district attorney primary debate from the Central Berkshires League of Women Voters and The Berkshire Eagle. DA Harrington’s campaign responded several days later, after her campaign statement on debates was publicized.
The Central Berkshires League of Women Voters and all other league chapters are strictly nonpartisan and are ideologically unaligned. It should be noted that the League of Women Voters of Central Berkshires is a co-sponsor of the Aug. 3 Berkshire County NAACP forum with the candidates. We encourage you to attend that forum and to vote in the primary. Please note that both registered Democrats and unaffiliated voters can vote in the Sept. 6 Democratic primary.

That endorsement will hurt Harrington. Warren is disliked in the Berkshires. Biden and even Sanders beat Warren in Massachusetts and she lost the female vote!
Warren had 24 percent of the female vote, compared to Sanders’ 26 percent and Biden’s 34 percent. Warren cares only about women candidates but women in the Berkshires have had it with Harrington. That’s a good campaign slogan – had it with Harrington!

A bit off subject here but it’s a timely story so I’ll continue. The Lanesboro mall has been sold for $8 million dollars. As the Eagle story said that is 8 times what the previous owner paid for the same property in 2019.Is this possible? Can you buy a property for a million dollars and in 2 years sell it for 8 million dollars? In Lanesboro it sure looks like you can. Now that leaves us with the question, why it was bought and sold for a mind boggling difference of 7 million dollars for a dilapidated dump in a cow town?

It’s a form of money laundering called loan back laundering. The first sign is massive overpayment for a property. Second is the previous owner holds a large portion of the note.
The new owner will wash cash by repaying the loan using another “legitimate” business or offshore holding company.
Another way it’s done, the person owns the land but sells the building and then holds a lease on the land.

Most of the money in India comes from credit card fraud, human trafficking, trafficking in body parts.

I suspect the companies that they plan to “lease space to” will also be holding companies for people involved in the scheme.

Many local hotels are engaged in the same behavior. The scheme is attractive to a certain type of owner because they have perfected the grift.

Bear with me, because this is one of my favorite topics.

AH isn’t losing by a landslide. Her silence isn’t a concession. The fact that you
see very few AH lawn signs is because she already has her supporters, she doesn’t need to advertise. And her people don’t care what you say about her, she’s their gal. I am willing to bet that there are very few AH supporters that have actually turned.

So here’s Tim’s challenge. Voter turnout is going to be extremely low. Probably the lowest it’s been in years. People are apathetic now. They are numb and desensitized and trying to navigate a post-pandemic world in which the only thing that matters is the issues that affect them.

Right now those issues are the economy, inflation, groceries that cost twice as much as last year, the cost of gas, travel, and all the discretionary things that used to make life fun are quickly becoming out of reach. Crime in Pittsfield truly doesn’t affect the majority of its citizens. Not directly.

Tim is going to have to sway a lot of people to give enough fucks to come out and vote for him on September 6th and honestly, I don’t see that happening. He’s not swaying AH’s core. She is their person for a reason.

Pittsfield is a cesspool because of a variety of social and economic deficiencies, it’s been like that for a long time and it’s not going to get better. “Social services alley” is really social services CITY. This city thrives financially on the despair and destitution of poor, not-smart, not-healthy, not-capable people.

AH isn’t making it worse. She’s adjusting to the natural progression Pittsfield has experienced. Her lack of hard prosecution on drug crimes actually makes the city safer – yes hard to believe – because it leaves the status quo alone. The lock em up and throw away the key approach of the 1990’s did nothing but facilitate constant displacement by out-of-towners, encouraging new waves and new waves of criminally minded individuals to find their niche left vacant by their predecessors doing mandatory sentences for petty drug crimes. The “kids” running around with guns now are the offspring of that generation.

And that is all there will be to look forward to if a new DA decides to “get tough on crime”. Pittsfield is sick, and the cure isn’t harsher prosecution. The disease is so much deeper than that.

God save us all.

Blogger Dan Valenti has said horrible things about Berkshire County D.A. Andrea Harrington. She is the smallest hill among mountains of corrupt career politicians from Pittsfield politics to BeaCON Hill to the Swamp and beyond. Pittsfield is at rock bottom due to the over 1,000 gang members, poverty, distressed and unequal economy, the disconnected Ruling Elite, and so on. Pittsfield has been at rock bottom long before Andrea Harrington first ran for elected office in 2016. Andrea Harrington was first elected Berkshire County D.A. in 2018, and she has served in that position for a little over 3 years and 7 months. It makes NO sense to blame her for Pittsfield’s violent crime because it has been a big problem there well before she started her progressive political career.

In an odd way, I think Jonathan thinks if he continues to write gushing support for Andrea, she will make him her next boy-toy.

He tried the same with Flat Tyer. So much so, she has blocked him on every social media platform.

He seems to hate every male politician, but fawns over every female pol. He even used to sing Tricia Farley-Country Buffet’s (D-illegal immigrants) praise. That ended when she almost ran him over, trying to beat the clock for the lunch special, at the now defunct Old Country Buffet. Not to mention, he has a very unhealthy hatred for Andrea Nuciforo.

Jonathan, I hate to be the bearer of bad news for you pal, you have ZERO chance with DA Wrong Way. Something tells me an unemployed guy, who sits and blogs and games all day, is just not something she’s looking for. She wants men who (1) are married, (2) and could potentially help her political career. You posses neither. MOVE ON!!

Exactly, getting away with the so called small things leads moving onto bigger things because of little or no consequences for the small stuff. How many times have we heard or read there was “previous offenses”,or out on parole or “Previously known to authorities” again

Jon – what you say has some grounds. Harrington is NOT the cause of the crime, poverty, corruption, and drugs (crime all around). Those things grew just fine without her. Agreed then she is not the cause. But her performance in the courts, her politicization of her office, her destructive behavior regarding judges, victims have resulted in bailed sanction murders and stolen justice. Also, her main opposition in election past was Judith Knight. So, it isn’t an anti-woman thing. Even Judith Knight said Harrington’s ignorance of how courts work and which ones hear which cases was astonishing and said she was unqualified for the job. Why should I ignore that?

The next DA and future police departments will have a hopeless time closing cases and stemming the high tide of crime thanks to her malevolent behavior.

No one is getting put away for petty drug crimes, that’s a myth propogated by the far left boobs who Soros has cultivated to achieve his bizarro goals that no one understands. That’s a national backlash against it and everyone knows Harrington is one of those boobs. If you are like most people you want to keep entrenched and unmoveable criminal groups from taking over here like they have in Springfield and Holyoke. Yup, everywhere I go I meet people like Laura who have had it with Harrington.

To the editor: According to a July 30 article (“Berkshire DA candidates spar over debate events while sheriff candidates revisit their records on substance abuse treatment“), The Berkshire Eagle and the League of Women Voters of Central Berkshire County invited District Attorney Andrea Harrington to debate her challenger Tim Shugrue.
He accepted, but she refused because, in her words, she “will not participate in forums being run by right wingers.” After four years of being appalled by her performance in office, I had to laugh. Had she simply admitted she is afraid to debate Mr. Shugrue, I would have understood. I also would have understood if she said she is upset that The Eagle has repeatedly exposed her unethical and unprofessional behavior.
But declining because The Eagle is “run by right wingers?” That would be news to anyone who actually reads The Eagle.
I’m voting for Mr. Shugrue.

If your DA’s are so well trained why do they have the worst conviction rate in the state?

What good are POCs as victim advocates if their cases never reach court because you can’t put a trial together or drop them?

Someone needs to call BS on this plea deal charade. This study of plea deals comes out of complaints in the federal criminal courts where there are so many mandatory sentences that it’s been claimed people plead guilty to avoid an onerous sentence. All those people are innocent of course they are. And if the are, why are we talking about a plea deal if they are innocent? None of this has anything to do with Berkshire County. It’s something in NC that Harrington was able to hop onto, to distract from the reality that she can’t do the job.

Not only would it provide inmates with truly useful skills, but it would also eliminate the need for taxpayer support of the jail. BCHC Jail House Gold Brand. It worked for Acapulco in the 60s. PPSs can take kids on field trips to the jail grow. Actually, I believe all Pittsfield Public Schools should start growing their brand of cannabis, THS Ingun Brand, Crosby Special Ed Brand, PHS Black & White/Zebra Brand, Morningside/O Conte Free Lunch Brand, Allendale Toxic Brand, the schools can have competitions for growing the biggest buds, the stickiest buds, the most colourful buds, the most aromatic buds, the heaviest densest trichomes coated buds…….. any school that can’t successfully grow and market their own brand should be shuttered.

The increase of reports of crime (both car and homes) along with vandalism (mostly due to theft) are pushing rate adjustments across the board.
These may not be crimes that are ever prosecuted, just reported to police for insurance claims. I’ve done 16 catalytic converter thefts in one week in Pittsfield. After deductible most people are out $500-1000 out of pocket for the repair. Two reported thefts or damage to a car (non-driving) and it’s a 12% rate bump.
When they say crime is down, it’s that the police aren’t doing anything about it.
One client was told directly by a PPD officer, “we lack the manpower to waste time on crimes that won’t lead to prosecutions. The DA is catch and release and the Chief told them just to take a report and move on.

This deserves further discussion. I hope Dan has the time next week to dig deeper into it. This situation is probably a lot worse than you describe. Plus all the auto accidents have to be driving up insurance rates as the city is a bumper car zone 24/7. Most mornings there are three accidents before 7 am.

Accidents are up but accidents are up everywhere, it’s the post Covid bump.
People forgot how to drive.
What is unprecedented is the amount of vehicle damage due to theft and vandalism (damage due to break-in with no loss of property).
Lots of car windows broken, depending on your insurance side windows and rear windows might not be covered 100%.
With todays car’s, with all the sensors and electronics in cars a simple windshield replacement turns into a couple day ordeal. Recalibration of sensors is a big one. Park your car’s in your garage if you have one, if you don’t and have to leave it out some people are leaving their car’s unlocked -I’m not saying to do that but sometimes it saves a window.

Incredible. Please contact the Berkshire Eagle at news@bershireeagle.com and ask them to run this at a “name witheld” letter to the editor. They should. It makes important points that should be heard.

I hope that when Tim Shugrue is DA he reverses the damage Harrington has done, just like this new DA in San Francisco. For those who think it is what matters, the new DA is Black, Latina and female.

BY ALEXANDRA E. PETRI LA TIMES STAFF WRITER

Brooke Jenkins, the district attorney of San Francisco, is withdrawing plea deals offered by her predecessor in more than 30 fentanyl-dealing cases in one of the first major shifts in the office’s approach under the new D.A.
The move is part of a raft of policy changes aimed at drug dealers, particularly in fentanyl cases, that could lead to increased incarceration rates and enhanced sentencing.
“We have to make changes now to save lives,” Jenkins said at a news conference Wednesday where she announced the changes.
Under the new policies, those arrested with more than 5 grams of drugs will no longer be diverted to San Francisco’s community courts; dealers selling drugs within 1,000 feet of a school could face enhanced sentences; and “extreme” cases of fentanyl dealing could result in pretrial detention.

Tomorrow (Friday) is the day that Wrong Way drop back and hurl her hail mary. She has called a news conference for 2pm tomorrow-by invitation only-to release her findings in the estrada investigation. It’s a PR rule of thumb that if you want a news story to have legs, release it on a Friday so follow-ups run the next week. What do you think the findings will be?

If sHe’s anti-police it’ll show. She can’t have it both ways, she’s too deep into it.

She’s already anti police. Just ask them. One cop told me he would run her over if he could get away with it.

Politicians release bad news on Friday afternoons because most reporters punch out early and take weekend off. The whole thing is on video and the cop is totally in the right. Harrington has to tell it like it is.

The cop deserves a life saving medal.
