PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, THE WEEKEND EDITION NOV. 4-6, 2002, 2022) — With the mid terms looming, THE PLANET weighs in on the questions that adorn the ballot statewide. There are four of them. Your cheat sheet:

Vote “NO” on Q. 1 and 4. Qs. 2 and 3 are “flip ’em.” Doesn’t much matter how they go.

QUESTION 1, RAISING TAXES ON INCOME

Voting  “YES” on 1 will be suicide for voters. Approving this vote will result in a huge tax increase that will drive out businesses, cost jobs, further damage an appalling business climate in the Bay State.

Backers tell you the additional money raised will go to “education” and “infrastructure.” What they don’t tell you is that the state cannot legally earmark money in this way. Our corrupt politicians need more of YOUR money the way Pittsfield needs more potholes and gangs. Already, state pols sit on a $7 billion rainy day fund. Surplus tax receipts are billions over projections. They’re stealing you blind as it is.

“YES” on Q1 will:

  • Enact the LARGEST TAX HIKES IN STATE HISTORY.
  • Create a precedent to raise taxes across the board.
  • Tax the retirement funds of homeowners, retirees, and small businesses.
  • Treat one-time earnings from the sale of business or home as income.
  • Lead to a mass exodus of industry.

THE PLANET SEZ: VOTE NO ON Q1.

QUESTION 4, GIVING ILLEGALS A LICENSE AND THE VOTE

You want to give illegals a driver’s license with all the privileges attached thereto, including the right to vote? Do you want to provide aid and comfort to terrorists, drug offenders, and other riffraff? If you agree, vote for Question 4.

Don’t look for information on this question in the mailing sent out to voters by William Francis Galvin. Because of Democrat delaying tactics that tied up Q4 in court, a campaign led by AG and governor’s candidate Maura Healey, the question did not receive official approval for listing until after Galvin’s brochures were printed. Scuzzy, eh, this plan to keep voters ignorant?

The choice is simple. Vote NO for two reasons:

  1. Giving illegals driver’s licenses gives them the right to vote.
  2. It doesn’t work. In California, which has done this, there has been a 30% increase in traffic fatalities and a 26% increase of hit-and-runs.

THE PLANET SEZ: VOTE NO ON QUESTION 4.

QUESTIONS 2 AND 3

For ordinary voters, these are the “Who Cares?” questions.

Q2 — Regulation of Dental Insurance. Toss up. The question is so confusing that each side claims the same thing. Our studies have us learning toward NO. Voting YES would likely increase premiums foe dental health, imperil coverage, and decrease choice of care. VOTE NO OR YES ON 2. It won’t matter.

Q4 — Expanded Availability of Liquor Licenses. More booze? Why the heck not?  Approval of this measure will increase the number of licenses that business can own. VOTE AS YOU PLEASE ON 3. Who cares? The skunks are going to do whatever the hell they want anyhow.

———- ooo ———-

Of course, of most concern will be the national mid-terms. All House seats are up for grabs as well as 36 seats in the Senates and a bunch of governorships. Here in the Bay State, if Healey votes for herself, she’s our next guv. Nationwide, it promises to be far different.

A Red tidal wave is coming.

——————————————————————————-

Every failed city, all the way out to mid west and beyond has Bird scooters. It’s true what you’re saying

They are used and sponsored by city govs, I’m certain, to launder not money but data for ‘green’ road plans such as bike lanes.

Question 1, if approved, would lead to the single largest state tax increase in Massachusetts history. Instead of limited government, it would be a multibillion-dollar per fiscal year boondoggle for the useless, part-time, do-nothing, corrupt career politicians on Beacon Hill, who are enriching themselves at the public trough by giving away a little less than $18 billion per fiscal year in state tax breaks to their wealthy campaign donors in the Boston area – NOT in Western Massachusetts (which always gets the shaft from Boston). Moreover, this past Summer of 2022, Governor Charlie Baker stated that Beacon Hill lawmakers are sitting on billions upon billions of surplus state dollars, which is Boston’s largest Slush Fund in Massachusetts history. Instead of voting to cut state taxes, a majority of Beacon Hill lawmakers voted to put the state surtax hike on millionaires before Massachusetts voters on November 8th, 2022. Lastly, Smitty Pignatelli did not mention any of these facts in his letter to the editor of the Dirty Bird (Berkshire Eagle) endorsing Question 1 this past weekend because he has been in Boston for the past nearly 20 years (since 2003).

As far as the mid terms go, I think everyone is going to lose. Chaos is inevitable and an American nightmare will ensue. And guess what. It does not matter who you are or what political leanings you have. This nightmare is coming to a theater near you and your ticket is free.

And if you are one of those folk who helped bring it on, I hope it is a little extra hard for you.

Biden demonizing half of the country in his speech the other night isn’t helping and the lies in that speech will promote potential violence. Calling Americans petty because they worry about being able to afford food and gas. That’s petty? Biden can worry only about his agenda because he is wealthy. Biden is so out of touch with the majority of the country.

Why do you talk about yourself like that, if you know your issue change, Look in the mirror and fix the issue. Educate yourself and don’t watch the TV news and read the Eagle/Times/Globe/Washington Pst/SF expand your knowledge and open your eyes. What President has ruled like a dictator with over 100 executive orders in 18 months? What President has created double digit inflation and costs to America? Try not to continue this ineptitude vote out all incumbents!! PS Vote No on all questions as well

Close tallies are always challenged. Free elections deserve that.

Legitimacy depends on the ‘how’ a tally gets so close or so far apart. Does the vote resolve at midnight? That’s strange and suggests a mechanism beyond cast ballots freely given.

Tyrants always win by massive landslides 95%+ leaving ‘no room for doubt’ that 1) they win, 2) they cheat so risk of trying to unseat a tyrant is too dangerous to try anyway.

How to vote on Q1 – “Do you make over 1,000,000 per year?” No? Then you are not going to get taxed extra. Simple, Vote Yes.

How to vote on Q4 – “Do you realize illegals are already driving?” Well, this will allow them to take the TEST and be road legal. NO, THEY CAN’T VOTE WITH IT. Vote Yes

You mean illegals will actually get licenses and pay $1000 for insurance and other costs? Who’s going to pay their premiums, licenses, inspections, registrations, taxes? Being ‘road legal’ means all the above and still does not make you ‘road safe.’

Will the taxpayer be on the hook to purchase them cars too? I think this about ballots. Much simpler and more plausible.

Question 1: Why does the Commonwealth need to increase taxes? I pay plenty and see lots of spending going on.

I might vote for that if they promise to set up regular check points checking for vehicle insurance. And anyone who does not have insurance, loses their license immediately, pays a $5000 fine and forfeits their vehicle. (no exceptions) And if they have funny identification stuff they go to jail.

Always vote no. Ballot questions provide an opportunity for interest groups and well- funded citizens to circumvent the normal lawmaking and editing process. They are often purposely written to confuse voters. They have become accessible mainly to the powerful: those who can accrue hundreds of thousands of signatures through sophisticated, expensive means.Vote no down the line.

Insurance Guy
Insurance Guy

If you vote to give illegals a drivers license a couple things will happen.

1. Your insurance will go up. We cover our losses with premium increases. In MA there are provisions for special class cases to raise premiums across the board, this would be one of those cases.

2. You will be less safe. On average states that have enacted legislation to provide licenses to illegals have seen an increase in accidents of 36% and fatalities of about 25%.

3. Walk away accidents go up dramatically. That’s where a vehicle is in an accident and the people walk away from it, leaving your insurance to cover the costs. It sounds counter intuitive but since illegals don’t want to interact with police, they tend leave the scene of accidents and claim the car was stolen. If the car is reported stolen, often the subrogation process is thwarted. You end up paying your deductible.

4. You may lose your insurance entirely.
At the office we’ve discussed outcomes of being forced to take on illegals as clients. It might be more profitable in the long run to just not sell in MA.

What will happen after the Fed raises rates one dozen times by the end of 2023, there are many energy crises, Joe Biden spends tens of trillions more federal dollars in 2023 – 2024, Putin takes over Europe – in whole or in part – or the Russian dictator blows up Europe and beyond with his nuclear weapons toy chest, the Green New Deal is uncovered as a scheme to enrich China and the elderly Swamp Democrats such as John Forbes Kerry, Joe Xiden, Maryland Markey, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and the like, the U.S. Middle Class is fully decimated with the upcoming insolvency and end of Social Insurance – Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid – government programs, Wall Street and K Street abolish Capitol Hill and the Financial and Corporate Elites become the purse strings of the would-be dictatorial U.S. President, Big Tech becomes the Ruling Elite’s propaganda bureau, religion is done away with, and we all worship the Almighty Dollar as the Creator, the people lose the right to vote, speak freely, assemble peaceably, and are jailed for saying the word “Democracy”, entire countries are controlled by biological warfare with new coronaviruses deployed to wipe out millions of people at a time similar to the fictional Death Star in the Star Wars movies, and we commoners only get to live to the age of 55 years old to limit global population growth?

Have given him long enough to rectify this issue, why should people spend money on a newspaper if you can’t read most of it and also why have photographs in this rag paper if you basically have double vision looking at them. Does Fred not notice this issue after almost a year? Have returned my store bought paper back to the Eagle to get a replacement and their only comment is “gee, that is a bad one” so they are aware of it. Is charging consumers more going to fix it?

Speaking of liquor and noise – why did Truc’s (of the Vietnamese Rest. Vs Foundry noise dispute) recordings of noise get ignored by West Stockbridge? An iPhone has professional quality sound and picture recording capability. In fact, entire albums have been recorded off an iPhone. I think the band Gorillaz recorded an entire album or two, plus other bands, on an iPhone and many have been released on iTunes. In fact – an iPhone is state of the art. Why can a Berkshire town make up there own crazy rules in a petty fit to avoid doing what they need to do? This is a no-brainer – make Foundry follow rules so the two can live in harmony.

Now frustration is growing in Arizona’s La Paz County, as shallower wells run dry amid the Southwest’s worst drought in 1,200 years. Much of the frustration is pointed at the area’s huge, foreign-owned farms growing thirsty crops like alfalfa, which ultimately get shipped to feed cattle and other livestock overseas.
“You can’t take water and export it out of the state, there’s laws about that,” said Arizona geohydrologist Marvin Glotfelty, a well-drilling expert. “But you can take ‘virtual’ water and export it; alfalfa, cotton, electricity or anything created in part from the use of water.”

Grey skies where the lark was.

Nought warm where your hand was,

O it’s my turn now said Flossie Snail

To take the baby from the milking pail

And it’s my turn now said Johnnie Crack

To smack it on the head and put it back.

Johnnie Crack and Flossie Snail

Kept their baby in a milking pail

One would put it back and one would pull it out

And all it had to drink was ale and stout

For Johnnie Crack and Flossie Snail

Always use to say that stout and ale

Was good for a baby in a milking pail.

Love in the Asylum

by Dylan Thomas

A stranger has come

To share my room in the house not right in the head,

A girl mad as birds

Bolting the night of the door with her arm in plume.

Strait in the mazed bed

She deludes the heaven-proof house with entering clouds

Yet she deludes with walking the nightmarish room,

At large as the dead,

Or rides the imagined oceans of the male wards.

She has come possessed

Who admits the delusive light through the bouncing wall,

Possessed by the skies

She sleeps in the narrow trough yet she walks the dust

Yet raves at her will

On the madhouse boards worn thin by my walking tears.

And taken by light in her arms at long and dear last

I may without fail

Suffer the first vision that set fire to the stars.

Dave DePepe, “the SF hammer man”, is now in a Democrat/DOJ/FBI gulag too.

Think about that, while the J6ers are without :trial, counsel, fair treatment (rancid conditions in solitary), only 21 months now, America

Pelosi didn’t want security at the White House that day despite warnings for reasons nobody can understand. She has no security at her own home that should have set off alarms so her own husband wasn’t nearly killed by a deranged intruder. This woman isn’t very intelligent. Her casual attitude toward crime is unbelievable.

She has security. Lots. So much video tape it would sink her forever.

Not as casual as you might think Pat. She is doing everything she can to lock up the criminal mastermind Donald Trump. Not so casual when you are going after the worlds most wanted guy.

Did you see where she said she wished she could punched Donald Trump in the mouth? Call her what you want but that girl is one tough cookie. Compare her to Josh Hawley who was running away for the Jan 6th rioters he helped organize. Too funny right?

She’s a tough cookie in all the wrong ways. She acts tough, but uses what intelligence she has for an agenda that half of the country doesn’t want. She’s not tough enough to protect her own home seeing as how she is the third in line in power and lives in a state where crime is out of control.

Going after Donald Trump has nothing to do with crime. He has to be the most honest man on the earth with all of the investigations. It’s all about revenge for Hillary and keeping Trump looking bad in the eyes of the American people. Pelosi is a mean tough cookie and not someone that young women should model themselves after.

So the gay SF tranny prostitute, who was let in was Trump’s doing?

In Massachusetts, the November 8th, 2022, state government general election will further exacerbate regional inequities. To be clear, Western Massachusetts will be voiceless in Boston. So much for the government investing in its most valuable resource: The People who live in Massachusetts. Instead, Beacon Hill always systemically underfunds cities such as Pittsfield and regions such as Western Massachusetts. Meanwhile, Beacon Hill lawmakers undemocratically and secretively giveaway tens of billions of dollars in state tax breaks to their Boston-area politically connected big business wealthy campaign donors. Beacon Hill lawmakers are only about the Almighty Dollar and Power so that they can enrich themselves at the public trough. Beacon Hill lawmakers = DISSERVICES!

They are comparing the Brazilian people protesting the very close election to January 6th in this country. No questioning allowed. No vote recount. Accept the results or be called a criminal. Very frightening.

All elections can be frightening if your guy loses which is why all countries should have an insurrection attempt if they do not win everything every time.

To be quite Frank. The administration has done too much damage for the Republicans to fix it without the Kopanski paying for it. The rich will get their tax cuts the poor of already got theirs with trillions of dollars added to the debt that will sustain those and all the Republicans will do is suffice the nonsense going on in the streets until the next presidential election which the Democrats embrace bottom line is both political parties are no freaking good I’ve always said that in Massachusetts we have a unique situation because of the embedded genetic democracy that can’t be undone. About the only thing maybe that we can do is get a republican governor in there but even then he won’t have any power.

Remember NYC, Nov 1)? Shops boarded up with anti-riot measures in case Trump won. They trashed and rioted anyway just to show that they would have otherwise?

Sidepoint – plywood shot to $100 a sheet. I bet it was those New Yorkers hoarding it for the next election.

New Yorkers plywood’ed in the event a Trump victory were declared. A biden victory was declared, so they rioted anyway. NYC bought tons of plywood for then and future elections.

Point is, my good friend, my comrade, plywood became expensive. Eco 101 for Dummies says maybe NYC drove the price.

It is, of course, a joke. Why? Because if I were serious, you would say that 2×4 also became expensive. 2×6 too. Clearly anyone who follows the price of ply knows the cost of lumber generally. It’s a ‘duh’ thing. As in, ‘it’s sarcastic, duh!

Compliments to your doing a great great job missing the point. Even under two screen names – extra credit. I’m serious – good job! You rule the negative side of the value scale.

Why make such a business over a post you don’t like? Strange and disturbing. But, that’s antimatter question.

No forgiveness on vaccine mandates:

Jabs did not prevent infection

Jabs did not prevent transmission

The jab causes many lifelong negative consequences, including death

Masks don’t stop transmission

Lock downs were ineffective

Children lost 20 yeqrs of schooling, for 2 years of lockdown

Millions lost jobs, savings, schooling, homes, businesses……

Vote them out, Liberals and RINOs

PS how are food and energy bills going into winter?
