LAME-DUCK TYER WILL BE ‘MAYOR PHOTO OP,’ BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? LINDA’s A WINNER

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, MONDAY APRIL 24, 2023) — Last week, both in the column and in the comments, THE PLANET led a discussion about Pittsfield’s downtown woes and some of the simple fixes that could immediately be addressed at little cost.

Why they aren’t done remains one of the great urban mysteries.

We said nothing about the more serious problems the city of Pittsfield faces. You know what they are as well as THE PLANET, so there’s no need to go through that ponderous list here. The point we make today, in this mayoral and electoral year, is one addressing in roundabout fashion “presence.”

Mayor Linda Tyer has been a lame duck for a while now, especially since last year when we pulled a Nostradamus and predicted, many months beforehand, that she would not be seeking a third term. THE PLANET called it — the same way that a woman suffered head trauma when the Bird scooter she piloted met Mr. Accident less than 24 hours after we ran a column predicting just that.

———- ooo ———-

This won’t be THE PLANET‘s valedictory for Tyer. That will come later in the year, sometime in late December most likely.

Tyer entered Pittsfield politics from the secretarial ranks of Lenox High School. Backed by Jimmy Ruberto, she ran in Ward 3 and won. By most accounts she served Ward 3 well. Her next stop was the clerk’s after Jody Phillips left. She ran there and won. Finally, she took a shot at the corner office and an incumbent, sitting mayor Dan Bianchi. Not an easy thing to do, but once again she won. Irrespective of her final legacy after eight years in the corner office, THE PLANET doffs the fedora. She’s earned it.

Winning builds around it an aura that some in the electorate find attractive, like the “fan” whose favorite team is the one that’s in first place. It’s part of a mercenary electorate, especially in a city (and a state) with only one party. Partisan loyalties form not so much around political parties, not when everyone’s a Democrat, but around persons and personalities.

Funny thing, that. We at THE PLANET have been doing this thing professionally (journalism) since 1975. In all that time, we have scrupulously tried not to mix politics with persons, although at some level they are inseparable. Our “going in” attitude has never varied from foe in the arena, friend out of it. Can’t say that everyone we’ve covered felt the same — you know,  the ones with after-thin hides, the ones who want everyone to love them, the ones who can’t take a good, clean hit.

That’s on them. Our door is always open, and we will never refuse to sit down with anyone over a good cuppa joe.

Pittsfield politics has become dangerously personal, heard in the endless repetition: “He’s a good guy” and She’s a good woman.”

Rarely is the electoral question asked: “Is s/he a good mayor/councilor/school committee person/clerk?”

The results speak for themselves.

———- ooo ———-

With that preamble, what should we make of Linda Tyer, lame duck?

Expect a lot of not much.

Expect a quiet corner office, with “the photo op” becoming the closest you will get to innovative policy.

Speaking of which, THE PLANET received this from the mayor’s office:

***Media advisory/photo-op***

———- ooo ———-

Yes, it’s come to that, and what of it?

Unless and until the voting rate doubles and a better caliber human runs for office, it won’t much matter.

Meanwhile, THE PLANET has no problem saying of Linda Tyer, she’s a winner, proving once again that “success” and “failure” must remain individual visions.

While challenger candidate for Mayor of Pittsfield Jimmy Ruberto backed Ward 3 candidate Linda Tyer 20 years ago, she proved herself to be different than Pittsfield politics’ unethical Godfather who has always lived his adult life in Naples, Florida and has summered in upscale Lenox over the past couple of years. Mayor Linda Tyer has a compassionate side to her, she has always spoke in favor of Human Rights, and she has listened to and invested in the people, including the poor residents and distressed inner-city neighborhoods.

In 2023, she is finishing her second 4-year term as Mayor of Pittsfield, and in 2024, she will begin collecting her 6-figure public city pension plus perks and retire with her multimillion-dollar third husband CPA Barry Clairmont in their exclusive Gated Community mansion where they park their Lexus luxury cars at night. Linda Tyer did very well for herself in Pittsfield, which is something most of us were not able to do. Linda Tyer’s well-funded retirement years ahead of her sound wonderful to me.

What bothers me about Mayor Linda Tyer is that she isn’t saying that her third husband’s retribution civil lawsuit against Melissa Mazzeo should not suppress Freedom of Speech in Pittsfield politics. I, Jon Melle, went through far worse than anyone else in Pittsfield politics over the past 27 years of my adult life in terms of being persecuted by Pittsfield’s Pot King and I never sued anybody over it. Alex Morse was the target of the Boston Democratic State Committee’s homophobic smear campaign during the late-Summer of 2020 when he ran against fellow Democrat PAC Man Richie Neal, and he never sued anybody over it. But Linda Tyer’s third husband is suing Melissa Mazzo for defamation of his character over the Fall 2019 Mayoral election that his second wife, Mayor Linda Tyer, won.

To clarify things between you and your counterpart Valenti, Ruberto had nothing to do with Tyer’s first run for the council. The year was 2003 and WHEN had just organized. Tyer beat an excellent councilor, Mark Brennan. She had no issues with Brennan and no platform of her own other than she was female. She won and fell right in line with the establishment and forgot all about EMPOWERING NEIGHBORHOODS.

Mayor Tyer WAS a winner. Sadly though, her winning resulted in Pittsfield’s losing. Either she was in way over her head, got sidetracked with expensive side projects, or more likely, decided to become the grease for special interest agendas.

Soon enough, like Dorothy, she will click her little red shoes together and leave the land of OZ with a big smile on her face. But the general population of Pittsfield will be staring at the mess she has left in her wake. Are they, the average tax paying Kapinski, in anybody’s wildest imagination, better off than when she came on the scene?

Hell no they are not!

Yea but Tyer reminds me of the wicked witch in The Wizard of Oz, and I can’t be rid of her soon enough. Scooters littering the city, bums on every corner, dozens of shootings on her watch, bike lanes on North, homeless living all around and in Crosby, Springside, Clapp, and the mayor has either enabled, allowed, or encouraged all of it,

I’ll ask you three ‘guy’s,’ if you had a young daughter in the female RR and she came out and said a trans-dude was playing with himself in the big mirror area, what would you do? Just go buy her a toy and explain it’s ok.

No, I hope you’d go teach that freak a lesson. I would.

About that scooter accident…..did that make it into the proper “nothing to see here” file that all negative incidents in Tyers Utopian Pittsfield wind up? You would think some media outlet would mention it if for no other reason than to encourage the kids to be careful on scooters Especially if you are operating them in areas of rough roads with deep potholes and ruts. People should also be careful in crosswalks as many are not visibly lined and the already careless Pittsfield drivers become even more dangerous.

Probably not the only scooter incident but if you see someone lying on the ground next to a scooter there is no need to stop and assist because they are probably just faking or looking for attention.

Here’s a quick snippet of what I’ll remember the Flat Tyer administration for:

(1) “grant money” and the Boston scourge that came with it, (2) millions of dollars to race hustlers and grifters for family vacations and non-existent companies, (3) nips and used needles littering the streets and city parks, (4) conflict of interest law violations, (5) crime and gang members, (6) Ricky Rumpus and the unnecessary roundabouts, (7) OB and the unneeded DIE Office, (8) her association with Tricia Farley-Country Buffet (D-illegal immigrants and sex trade workers), (9) no accountability or access to the mayor, (10) married to Pittsfield’s toughest vigilante, Mr. Worldwide, aka-Dirty Barry Clairmont.

The biggest questions asked in the Pittsfield mayoral race is what do the schools get out of it and will the candidate follow the far left globalist agenda. It’s a small number of radicals and revolutionaries trying to take over our country compared to all of us. When Bragg was elected DA in New York only 200,000 people voted out of 2 million people in the city. That’s very pathetic when so many New Yorkers are unhappy with what Bragg is not doing with crime in that city. When New Yorkers are the victims of his friendly attitude toward violent and non-violent criminals. So far we outnumber them greatly so everyone has to head to the polls to save our country in all local and national elections.

FYI Pat
our new DA who promised so much is 1-10 in Superior court. People are giving notice to leave the office. letting a rapist go with no Bail?? double standard in our little utopia of Pittsfield. All bark no bite

A city man is facing several felony charges, including child rape, in connection with conduct between 2010 and 2018.
Ernest R. Kenyon Jr., 75, was indicted March 23 on the charges. He was summonsed to appear for his initial court date, where he was represented by defense lawyer Dean Manuel.
He pleaded not guilty in Berkshire Superior Court on Thursday to two counts of statutory rape of a child aggravated by an age difference and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.
Assistant District Attorney Joseph Yorlano declined to request bail, and Kenyon was released on recognizance. Judge Francis Flannery to stay away from and to have no contact with the accuser in the case while his case is pending. In 2016, Kenyon was accused of indecent exposure and accosting or annoying another person, both misdemeanors. The case in Central Berkshire District Court was closed after after he admitted that prosecutors had sufficient facts to prove their case against him, but he did not admit guilt.
He is due back in Superior Court on Oct. 3.

The radicals and revolutionaries have pushed Tucker Carlson off of FOX news. Problem for the radicals is that many many people want to scoop up Tucker Carlson and pay him a huge salary. It was Chucky Schumer and AOC who forced Tucker out. They definitely qualify as “radicals” They put pressure on ancient Rupert Murdoch to get rid of Tucker because they were so offended by the truths he was telling about January 6th. The left is planning to go into full attack mode on Trump over January 6th and they can’t have anybody telling the truth about what really happened. At 92 years old, Murdoch was easy to manipulate just like the managerial class in Washington is using Biden as their puppet.

He was photographed and featured riding his Bird scooter on ‘Low IQ’ magazine a year or so ago. Not quite GQ though.

In honor of this achievement, this years 4th of July parade will extend down to the Ricky Rumpus Roundabout. The ‘houseless’ and illegal immigrants will battle it out and provide some good wholesome Pittsfield Phamily Phun.

Each competing member must chug a beer and shoot up some heroin and then push a loaded shopping cart around the the roundabout. Each lap requires one beer and one hit, for a total of 12 laps. Any dropped items from the shopping cart requires an additional beer, per item.

The gangs will take all betting action. Just look for any young POC carrying a notepad, pen, and handgun.

Porkchop Pete White will be provided a sampling of all local goods by all the vendors. On the comp of course. He’ll provide his 5-star rating to his 3 followers for all sampled meals.

Fail to comp the meal and the health inspector might pay a visit or three.

I am happy that Pittsfield’s legendary football and baseball professional athlete Chuck Garivaltis, who has given a lot of his time to the community, lived into his 80s, but I am sad that he lived through the best to worst in Pittsfield. Chuck saw downtown Pittsfield go from a bustling business district to a place most people who do not rely on social services avoid. Chuck saw Pittsfield go from GE employing over 10,000 residents with blue collar living wage jobs to a postindustrial “City in Decay”. Chuck saw Pittsfield’ public school district go from quality institutions to Level 5 status. Chuck saw middle class families moving to Pittsfield to over 1,000 gang members taking over the inner-city streets with daily shootings, drugs, prostitution, and all of the other crap that keeps rational people away. Chuck saw state and local politicians investing in the city to them seeing people his age as their personal ATMs in return for rock bottom public services. No wonder that Pittsfield has lost significant numbers of population and living wage jobs over the past 50 years!

I liken Chuck’s journey through Pittsfield’s dystopian time machine to the movie “Back to the Future: Part II” whereby the career politicians in Pittsfield only want to raise taxes, be crowned Pittsfield’s Pot King, live in a mansion in a Gated Community, act like the Godfather of Pittsfield politics from over 1,400 miles away in Naples, Florida, go to Boston’s Statehouse to advocate for legalizing “Happy Endings”, sue Melissa Mazzeo for defamation because his emotional feelings were hurt in a long ago 2019 municipal election that his second wife, Mayor Linda Tyer, won, selloff two Norman Rockwell donated paintings and other historic artwork in the Berkshire Museum in 2018 for $55 million, having upscale art galleries and museums in London, NYC, and L.A. display large photographs of Pittsfield that are described as “Pittsfield: A City in Decay”, having the only economic growth in Pittsfield being its huge underclass population, and Pittsfield always being a city in the top 10 cities in Massachusetts for violent crime, according to the FBI, year-in year-out.

Chuck Garivaltis and his Senior Citizen peers deserved far better than Pittsfield’s downward spiral!

Ask the citizens other than those who have benefited the most from her 2 terms if they are feeling the “ vibrant and dynamic” benefits of her tenure. She climbed a step stool not a ladder that was provided by the usual groups to get into the council and the corner office as far as her political career is concerned.

The Biden Harris ticket is running again. So frightening since Kamala could well become president if this ticket wins. Joe will be very frail in a second term and his cognitive skills will decline even further. Both Joe and Kamala will be easily controlled by the people running Washington, this managerial class that has these two doing their bidding. This is why the real people running Washington want these two to run. They have no minds of their own and will never challenge anything they are told. They are perfect for putting the nail in the coffin of America if these two misfits win a second term. Joe will be kept well hidden from public view and they are even saying now there will be few if any debates. Debates would show how Joe is not capable of being president.

PITTSFIELD — A North Adams man faces charges, including two felony rape counts, for an incident that took place on Nov. 7, 2022.
Joseph Pini, 46, of Porter Street, was indicted by a Berkshire County grand jury on March 23.
He pleaded not guilty in Berkshire Superior Court on Thursday to two counts of rape and a single count of selling or delivering liquor to a person under 21, which is a misdemeanor, and released on recognizance. Judge Francis Flannery ordered him to no contact with the accuser and children younger than 18.
Pini pleaded guilty in 2018 to possession of heroin with intent to distribute after an investigation by state and local police. He was sentenced to two years in the Berkshire County House of Correction.

Another Rapist set free to roam in Berkshire county. Can’t get guilty verdicts in Superior court and letting the bad ones go. Anybody seen Mr clown shoes law and order?

Re: Hunter Biden’s next family court hearing is next week on Monday, 1-May-2023

Hunter Biden’s next family court case hearing is next week on Monday, May 1st, 2023, in Batesville [Arkansas]. Hunter Biden’s family court case is scheduled for a bench trial July 24-25 [2023] in Batesville [Arkansas].

Hunter Biden lied to a Judge a couple of years ago by saying that his baby girl, named Navy, was not his child with a young woman who was half of his age who was a college student and stripper in the Swamp. The Judge ordered Hunter Biden to take a court-ordered paternity test, which proved that Hunter Biden is the father of the baby girl, who is now 4 years old. Hunter Biden told that Judge that he has no memory of the young woman who fathered his baby girl, but Lunden Alexis Roberts is listed as a former employee at his law firm.

Next week, on Monday, May 1st, 2023, Hunter Biden is ordered to appear in person for the first time at the family court hearing in Batesville [Arkansas] to answer the Judge’s order for him to turn over to the family court his financial documents that he has been withholding from the family court, while he is requesting that his monthly child support payments be reduced. Hunter Biden has been appearing in the family court hearings via video.

Also at play is Lunden Alexis Roberts’ request that her 4-year-old daughter Navy’s last name be changed to Biden, which Hunter Biden opposes. Please note that Hunter Biden has at least 5 children by at least 3 women, he is in his 50’s, and he wrote and published a book whereby he wrote that he used to smoke crack cocaine every 15 minutes, drown himself in alcohol, spend his money on strippers and sex workers, along with all of his other “Bad Boy Behaviors”, while his father, Joe Biden, is the sitting U.S. President. Joe Biden keeps saying that he is proud of his last surviving son, Hunter Biden.

Today, Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, Joe Biden announced his 1,000th campaign for U.S. President that he has been doing since 1988, which is 35 years ago. Joe Biden has spent over 50 years of his life as a career politician in the Swamp. Joe Biden, like most of his peers in the Swamp, are multimillionaires. Hunter Biden’s allegedly illegal business activities, including with Russia and China, are said to have benefited Joe Biden’s finances. Yet…Yet…Yet…When it comes to Hunter Biden’s unplanned for and unwanted 4-year-old daughter Navy, Hunter Biden is trying to convince the family court that he should be able to pay less in his monthly child support payments. Sarcasm: Good luck with that one, Hunter Biden!

Biden releases his running for president video at 6 am this morning. It’s basically an infomercial with no information. Whoever heard of a person announcing for president this way especially a current president. Somebody who has to rehearse over and over to get the message correct. Biden will have no debates during the runup to the election. Another red flag for Americans that Biden can no longer think on his feet. That women could support Biden is a mystery to me since he has no problem telling people that nobody messes (he used a swear word instead of messes) with a Biden and turning away his son’s child born out of wedlock because the woman is a prostitute and is not good enough to bear the Biden name, but yet he says he is a big family man. At the very least they could support the child, but they are trying to get out of that with Hunter hiding out in the White House. Trump seems like Mother Teresa compared to this tough guy behavior of Biden.

If the mayor shows doesn’t show up at a council meeting why doesn’t Dews go to the meeting as her replacement. Any business she’s putting forward cancel it till the next meeting.

Whipping? There been no whippin’ from those critters. I have my share of real whipping and interviews, and bludgeoning. This dispute was comedy for me. But it is not for you! You shall be screwed by your Board of Assessors who will bleed you dry. Thank the warmest feelings of those councilors who see fit to stock the department with people who are rightfully ambitious but unprepared for the ethical and technical demands of the job.

Did you have a complaint about your tax assessment? Was it incongruous with your neighbors? I have heard those complaints, and my objection was reserved for this department.

I was embarrassed for the councilors and left my spit on the sidewalk to clean my system.

Thank you sir. There were absolutely no brains on display yesterday and the worst form of hypocrisy, inconsistency, and lying both tolerated by the Council and excreted. There are truly better uses of my time than messing around with them. Something draws me back, and other things draw me elsewhere.

A politician, Dan, is a person who begs to be liked. And we saw a lot of begging 4/25.
