FAMILY COURT RULING CLEARS KROL OF UNFOUNDED CAMPAIGN WHISPERS

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

ADD 1 ED NOTE: This version corrects misinformation. John Krol pays child support of $420 a WEEK, not a month. One of our astute readers assumed as much! We have confirmed the new, corrected amount.

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, MONDAY DEC. 18, 2023) — At the start of the 2023 mayoral campaign, both Peter Marchetti and John Krol pledged to run clean and keep the debate centered on issues, not personalities.

THE PLANET doesn’t have to tell you how that turned out.

Accusations made headlines to hit pieces, and they affected the vote. No surprise there. They always do, especially to the uninformed voter.

The whisper campaigns kept the behind-the-scenes action cold, wet, and gale-force windy. Throughout the. campaign, Marchetti’s minions claimed in the dark corners, to anyone who would listen, that Krol didn’t pay court-ordered child support or provide properly for his family. For the record, Krol pays his ex $420 a week. in child support.

On Nov. 23, these matters were brought to Probate and Family Court. On Dec. 7, they were adjudicated, allowing THE PLANET to tie up these loose threads dangling from Campaign ’23.

Whispers are one thing. Court findings are another.

THE PLANET expresses no judgments. We let the court do that, which Justice Dana S. Doyle did one week ago. You can read for yourself and make your own determinations.

[ED. NOTE: We did notice what seem to be two errors in the documents: Krol’s named is misspelled in the header of each document, and in Doc 1, Allison Johnson, Krol’s ex-wife, is listed as “Plaintiff” in the heading. She was the “Defendant.”]

I went through far worse in Pittsfield politics since the Spring 1996 when I was 20 years old way back then when I first had the unfortunate experience of meeting “Luciforo”; I believe that I am persecuted person who has had it worse than anybody else in Pittsfield politics over the past over 27.5 years, but my heart goes out to all of the other victims of Pittsfield politics over the years.

As we all know all too well, blogger Dan Valenti, Pittsfield politics’ other name is RETRIBUTION. We are supposed to live in a FREE COUNTRY whereby the state and local government is NOT a FIEFDOM, but Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is, indeed, a FIEFDOM run by a few inbred families that love to hurt anyone who challenges their control over the provincial FIEFDOM. I am thankful for you, blogger Dan Valenti, for defending me and anyone else who has been a victim of RETRIBUTION in Pittsfield politics. What a DISGRACE!

Did Krol give you copies of these documents? They are not public records. And, he has minor children. Why on earth would you publish private family matters? Because you got your behind handed to you in November? This is gutter journalism, Valenti. Disgusting.

This is worse than your pathetic fanboy worship of a p.o.s. like Trump.

Dan will not publish my additional comments. Trump is a criminal fraud and a menace. Valenti does nothing to improve the lives of Pittsfield residents. Dan knows his days are behind him and his site is nothing more than a pathetic ego trip. Like the narcissists, he loves: Trump and Gaetani. Valenti is a silly little Howie Carr wannabe.

$420 a week and he has his kids a minimum of 50% of the time. He is a great Dad, I’ve witnessed him with his kids first hand. People read and hear what they want to hear. Loser isn’t a word you would use to describe him. A loser is someone who believes the first thing they read and believe rags like the Berkshire Eagle. Do your homework before you pass judgment.

Good luck trying to reason with Pittsfield’s most successful vigilante, Dirty Barry.

Unless you have an approved PPP Loan, up to date voting information, or a large sugary drink to help DB keep his svelte physique, he’s not interested.

Dirty Barry has no kids. His opinion on raising kids is or being a father is as worthless as Flat Tyer being rewarded w/a plum job at BCC.

Did you know that in the mid-2000s, after I relocated from Pittsfield, Massachusetts, to Amherst, NH (I lived in an apartment in Manchester, NH, at that time), Peter Marchetti spread a rumor about me behind my back. My grandmother (1909 – 2008; 99 years) is also Peter Marchetti’s great-Aunt. Peter Marchetti told people in Pittsfield that it was my plan to live with my grandmother instead of live on my own. But when Peter Marchetti spread this rumor about me in Pittsfield politics, I was actually living on my own in Manchester, NH, back then. My great-grandfather is also Peter Marchetti’s great-grandfather, who emigrated to the U.S.A. from Italy over one century ago. Peter Marchetti is Jon Melle’s relative. Peter Marchetti even spreads rumors against his own family members when it suits his political purposes. My great-great grandfather, Michael P. Melle (1864 – 1937), came from the Town of Melle, Piedmont, Italy, and he settled in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in the 1880s/1890s. My great-grandfather, Albert Henry Melle, was born in 1895 and he passed away in the early-1970s before I was born in mid-1975. My family on both sides came from Italy and settled in Pittsfield over one century ago. When I look up northwestern Italy online, I read that it is near the Alps Mountain range and it is a popular ski destination for European travelers. Jon Melle’s surname is an small Town in northwestern Italy. Pittsfield is a small city in Western Massachusetts. Both northwestern Italy and the beautiful Berkshires have scenic mountains that surround the Town of Melle and the City of Pittsfield. It is too bad that I am related to Peter Marchetti, though!

Dan, When I served on the city council and school committee in the early to mid-1980’s elected officials were engineers, businessmen, GE employees, lawyers, community leaders. We served for $2000. a year as city councilor’s and zero pay as school committee members. The idea was serving your community. How things have changed.

Here’s the irony, then. I proposed cutting Councilors’ salaries, and eliminating the travel/entertainment perk (taxpayers pay their night son the town when indulging in free State networking conventions). I’m told, the salary is needed to attract unaffluent reps. But they slander the poor guy from the hood who pulls papers and stuff their wealthy chums into the seats instead. Does a lawyer not perform pro-bono work? Or, is council work of such unethical stuff today they must be paid?

They was I read this Krol had decent benefits when he was employed. He left/was released from that job and bought insurance with a much higher deductible.

That John Krol was supposed to maintain life insurance for the benefit of his children and did not do that

That John Krol again failed in his duties to timely send child support payments via the agreed upon direct deposit method.
he sometimes paid money via check, via a bill pay system on the banks website,
John Krol was late or had “banking errors” quite a number of times allegedly 66 times but that wasn’t clearly proven.

John Krol conveniently didn’t supply his insurance documents of any plan he had which confounded the complaint. Instead of requiring him to submit said documents the judge just passed that over.

John Krol was in contempt but sufficiently rectified most of the issues so he was found not in contempt.

if we distill this down, it’s not a win for John Krol by any measure. It shows he again played fast and lose with banking issues and payments of child support, life insurance, and making sure the appropriate systems were in place for his children’s health care.
moving your kids to a cheaper plan while increasing deductible costs for his ex-wife is not an honorable thing.

All this does is confirm that Pittsfield did the right thing by not electing John Krol.

Sorry Police Report, you can repeat the bullshit talking points that were spread during the campaign but these are all lies, as the judge affirmed. As I understand it, it was Allison Johnson who lied to the judge in the hearing in regard to deductibles (her deductible was actually lowered) and health insurance, and it was Allison Johnson who insisted on changing bank accounts that blocked the ability for automatic deposit for child support. It was also Allison Johnson who received the life insurance communications via mail, and did not provide those to her ex, making the policy lapse. The disgraceful smear campaign was orchestrated from the beginning by a Johnson family who was made promises by Marchetti. It was all a setup and done by design, including the court process that was extended through the election because of Allison Johnson’s attorney’s unnecessary motions to continue. The non-issues should have been resolved a year ago but that was not convenient in the effort damage Krol during the election year. This is painfully obvious.

PH:I read in your post insight into the chaos that divorce wreaks between hostile parties. Flexibility is essential for the child’s sake, but parents can use lateness as a legal cudgel to win contempt and degrade the others standing as a fit parent.

You are absolutely correct. One should not publicize the tragedy of hostile divorces, and the blame, I see, falls on the Eagle and those who saw fit to make parenting a campaign subject.

Dan, have you seen the movie on Netflix Leave the world behind? great movie and this quote really applies to this subject.

“We f*** each other over all the time, without even realizing it. We f*** every living thing on this planet over and think it’ll be fine because we use paper straws and order the free range chicken. And the sick thing is, I think deep down we know we’re not fooling anyone. I think we know we’re living a lie. An agreed upon mass delusion to help us ignore and keep ignoring how awful we really are”

This could be straight out of the Krol / Marchetti playbook.
