PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, MONDAY JAN. 15, 2024) — As always, too many issues, not enough columns.

More Pain for Taxpayers — Mayor Maypo says he doesn’t see where he can reduce Bitchfield’s $206 million spending. Off the top of our head, THE PLANET can think of many reductions, including a change in the city’s 85-15% health insurance. A reduction to 75-25 saves millions and is still far more generous than most plans. 70-30? Even better. Another slash that would not only be painless but would amount to addition by subtraction: End the DIE office. A third: Conessions from the Sochol Department, which eats 70%+ of the $206 million.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T — The mayor wants respect. He can earn it by showing leadership. Message to Maypo: You can’t lead and have everyone love you. Tough choices hurt but lately the only ones hurting are Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski. The current rate of city spending is crushing taxpayers, small businesses, and the elderly.

Tell Me Why — … is Jumping’ Joe Curtis still superintendent of sochols? …  is Ricky Rumpus still running the DPW (into the ground) … is Kufflinks Kerwood still keeping Bitchfield’s books … has the rotund Miss Jane Hathaway not departed back to the happy hunting grounds? … is also a great Beatles song!

Fauci the Fibber — The House Select Subcommittee on the Corono virus exposed Dr. Fauci’s version of science. “Science” to Fauci is arbitrarily ordering the ridiculous “six-foot distance” rule. Fauci’s “science” told everyone to wear masks, don’t wear masks, wear masks. With no scientific basis, he ordered Americans to be vaccinated and punished those who refused up to losing their jobs. His “science” closed schools, setting back academic performance by years. It shut down America’s economy, leading to one of the the biggest grifts in U.S. history in the form of the ARPA Bux. Fauci, more than any other single American, destroyed what little was left of We The People’s trust in government.

Speaking of ARPA — Joe Biden’s ARPA scheme was a costly charade to coverup mismanagement and buy votes in 2024. From the Boston Herald, Jan/ 14, 2024: “Has there ever been a president who has exhibited such disdain for the taxpayer? Democrats created the American Rescue Plan, a bank-account that high-tax, big-spending states could tap to disguise fiscal mismanagement.” Right, Shirly Edgeaton (D-Racial Grift)?

What Crisis? —  Over the weekend, reporters asked Biden if he thought the anarchic situation at America’s southwestern border constitutes a “crisis.” Biden’s answer: “No.” He then proceeded to gaslight Republicans for the influx of illegals now overrunning major cities. Did you ever wonder why Democrats would purposely destroy our borders, without which there’s no country? Look no further than the Administration’s plan to allow non-citizens the vote.

GOAT — Bill Belichick won’t be unemployed for long. His unprecedented 24-year run with the New England Patriots ended just as it should, with a love-fest press conference with owner Robert Kraft. The totals: 17 division titles, 13 conference championship games, nine conference championships, nine super bowl appearances, six super bowl titles, and the greatest dynasty in the history of American professional sports. Belichick had stops with the Lions, Broncos, Jets, Giants, and Patriots before taking over for Peter Carroll in New England. He’ll bring his eight super-bowl rings and 337 career wins elsewhere. THE PLANET predicts he’ll be passing Don Shula on the all-time win list (15 away) with the Atlanta Falcons. In Bill We Trusted, and We Were Rewarded.

O’Reilly also confirmed he received a booster shot, though neither said which one they received.

If you mention the “Cultural Competency Coach,” let’s not forget the $750,000 ARPA-man, AJ Enchill, and the Berkshire Black Economic Council.

I was curious what my $750,000 tax-money “contribution,” (aka-a grift), was getting me.

To date, number of jobs created by the BBEC, not related by blood or friends with AJ Enchill?

I’ll let legendary Faber College President Dean Wormer give you the exact amount:

Zero Point Zero (youtube.com)

Are there money management trainings or a training to help launch a start-up business for “people of color” being put on by the BBEC?

I checked their upcoming events and found NONE.

There is karaoke Wednesday’s, Friday night jazz, West African Caribbean Drum and Song classes, and the NAACP meeting.

Bulletin – Berkshire Black Economic Council (berkshirebec.org)

AJ and Shirley Edgerton made out like bandits in this racial grift. They fleeced Flat Tyer simply by being a black man and a black woman.

Talk about having “racial privilege.”

True about the illegal immigrant invasion. Everything the Democrats are doing is a power play and that includes the invasion. Democrat Rep. Yvonne Clarke admits that the invasion will help with redistricting. Democrats have been fighting for years to redraw the congressional map in New York to lock out Republicans and with many people fleeing Progressive states, the invasion will help them to keep their population numbers high. It’s also about voting across the country and trying to keep Republicans out of office.

Speaking of the census. Pittsfield, the city who tosses millions into the wind for all things frivolous, would not even provide a stamped return envelope for its last census. That seemed like a really stupid, or maybe purposeful, move. And my guess is that that is part of the reason Pittsfield’s census figures could be off by several thousand. Which city ignoramus made the decision to save a few bucks on something this important while spending a quarter million dollars on plant decorations?

Serious question.

Why should I pay for schools when I have NEVER had a child in the Pittsfield school system? (or any other) Over 50 years of paying taxes for this. Seems like there should be a prorated amount instead of senior citizens paying the same amount as the family with four children. At 70 years a person should have their property taxes cut by two thirds, especially if they have been paying taxes in the same city for most of their life.

Look at all the other silly reasons people and business s are getting tax breaks in Pittsfield and compare the reasonability of them compared to seniors who use a small fraction of the services.

Get an X (Twitter) account and take a look at the videos of J6 being released.

All black clad ANTIFA members changing into Trump gear. Capitol Police Officers and undercover federal agents tore down security barriers to allow entrance into the Capitol and then took selfies and fist-bumped “insurrectionists.”

I know democRATs only think on an elementary level, but pull the thinking cap on a little tighter Snark. I’ll spell it out for you like I did TSC:

*Most, if not all MAGA members, are former/current military, police, fire, and other similar jobs. I include myself in this group.

*This means that they (we) have been trained to use weapons efficiently.

*Capitol Police Officers are armed.

*The J6 video Trump posted asking his MAGA members to return to their homes peacefully was taken down minutes after he released it and deemed “misinformation” by the Xiden administration.

*If MAGA members were really going to try and overtake a major federal institution, I’m willing to bet my pension it’d be with a WEAPON and not a CELL PHONE.

*Trump transferred power peacefully, even though his campaign was illegally spied on by Bathhouse Barry and Xiden (Crossfire Hurricane).

Stop with the J6 nonsense. You look as foolish as TSC posting it.

Have you thought about seeking psychological help for your serious case of TDS? You realize he’s been out of office for over three years, but lives rent free in your head.

Dan is right about the 85-15% health insurance premium split. A slight change could save millions without cutting services or laying off employees. I actually made a motion to reduce the split to 75% (or somewhere near there) in the May ’23 budget hearings. My gambit: reduce the Health Ins. line item by $1.5 million and let the Mayor use that reduction to negotiate a better compensation package (for the taxpayer).

Council, by charter, has zero influence direct on employee negotiation. But, we had some influence on the circumstances that govern mayor’s negotiation.

WAMC’s journalist Josh Landes promote’s North Street’s sarcastic name of “Social Services Alley”:

https://www.wamc.org/news/2024-01-15/pittsfields-peer-led-living-in-recovery-group-is-settling-into-its-new-downtown-headquarters

Downtown Pittsfield (Mass.)’s glut of Social Services Agencies and 15 empty storefronts on North Street is surrounded by Pittsfield’s inner-city distressed neighborhoods that are sarcastically called: “The Ring of Poverty”.

Social Services Staff always talk about the generations of traumatized individuals and families that face recurring episodes of direct, structural and cultural abuses, assaults, and community conflicts in Pittsfield, which is always ranked in the FBI’s annual reports as being in the top ten cities by population in Massachusetts for violent crime.

I grew up in Pittsfield. One of my biggest fears in my life on 48.5 years was having to end up as a low- to moderate-income adult who resided in inner-city Pittsfield. It still amazes me – Jon Melle – that I own my own condo unit in a civilized community in Amherst, New Hampshire. I thank the lucky stars after leading a life of social anxiety and emotional traumas as a native of Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Why does Pittsfield always have recurring themes of suffering people and families, along with a distressed community that has an over-reliance on social services? I am Exhibit A as a person who grew up in Pittsfield who had recurring themes of anxiety and traumas. I did everything in my power to not be part of Pittsfield’s generations of traumatized individuals and families. It still saddens me to read about Pittsfield’s never-ending and always recurring downward spirals….
