Of course, since most public schools do not teach American history, only its politically correct counterfeit, we might be put in the docket for expressing such an audacious statement of fact.
George III reigned over the colonies a couple+ centuries ago. No Kings since then. As for the regal presidency, we’ve had it since FDR. Roosevelt won an unprecedented four terms, with his royal flourishes were perfected by successors to that office.
The radical left does not like to be countered with such facts, for one simple reason. Factual information constitutes the feedstock of logic and common sense. The ideological left finds that the way Dracula found garlic, crucifixes, holy water, and mirrors.

Where is THE PLANET going with this? To another mantra that Democrats use to justify their out-of-touch politics: “________________ (insert name) is a threat to democracy.” Fact is, there has NEVER been a threat to our democracy, since we don’t HAVE a democracy. As Franklin said, “We have given you a republic … if you can keep it.”
Turns out, we can’t.
Our republic was premised upon an educated, participatory electorate wise enough to make informed decisions for the common good. Without that, representative government has no chance
Again, this is basic civics, stuff we learned in third grade..
The joke is that in Bitchfield and statewide in the Commonwealth, we have “reps” who do not represent much less advocate common sense majority views. Rather, Bay State citizens find themselves yoked by the totalitarianism of one-party rule whose apparatchiks must obey their woke masters and the hidden interests that benefit most from excessive taxation and unchecked government spending. They govern the “silent majority” through fear. Speak out, and get yourself fired, canceled, or, in the case of Charlie Kirk, murdered.
Too many of our reps now see in politics a lifetime sinecure. They have forgotten about Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski. We see this in extreme form in the city of Bitchfield. Name one office holder who has advocated for the forgotten middle class, the taxpayers who fund the entire charade.
Crickets.

Pull back the curtain, and what do you see? A weak mayor who runs away from decisions, folds at the first sign of opposition, and who, essentially, hides the rest of the time. As for the THE PLANET‘s Right Honorable Good Friends on the city council, they are led by an incompetent who is literally unemployable in the Dreaded Private Sector but, through a sucking-up that would make Hoover, Oreck, and Electrolux jealous, has found his reward. The sofhlofxelchool committee? What can we say? “Smile You’re On Candid” Cameron, Sara “Miss Jane” Shoegum, some kid who thinks Eartha Kitt is a set of garden tools and that General Motors is the Marine Corps commandant.
THE PLANET shall mercifully stop there.
Democracy, republicanism, communism, socialism, fascism–whatever “ism” ya got for a government: They all work great … on the flip chart. In practice they are all equally malevolent.

Pittsfield politics is always and totally predictable. Every fiscal year, they increase spending in the municipal operating budget by 5 percent. Every academic year, they have Level 5 (failed), Group 11 (underclass) public schools that rank in the ROCK BOTTOM in Massachusetts.
Boston politics in the Statehouse is always secretive and corrupt. The Big 3 – the Governor, State Senate President, and Speaker of the House of Representatives – hold all of the power.
State government spending in Massachusetts has increased by many billions of dollars adjusted for inflation over the past 25 to 30 years with some of the registered lobbyists reporting 7-figure incomes, while the working-class and middle-class residents pays for it all, in addition to the new surtax on millionaires.
Swamp politics is all about deficit spending by trillions of dollars per fiscal year, K Street corporate lobbyist firms have been reporting record earnings, and the mostly millionaire career Congressmen and Congresswoman who spend a majority of their time raising campaign donations from big business.
How come the career politicians, greedy lobbyists, and the like, all do so much better than the common people? Answer: Because they lie for a living, and they are only in it for themselves.
I disagree with blogger Dan Valenti’s post one one matter, which is that I believe that both political parties have extremists who only do disservices towards the common people.
It is called “Divide & Conquer” politics that allows the financial, corporate, and ruling elites to collude with each other to enrich themselves, while the U.S. middle-class always diminishes in numbers since the early-to-mid-1970’s, which is over 50 years ago now, and whereby almost all of the net income gains only go the super-wealthy few.

I was fortunately able to send my children to parochial school, until ST joe closed ,best investment I’ve ever made! Had BART been available at the time, i certainly would of considered the option, for my youngest. When good judge Vega slapped prior restraint on my coverage of that topic in addition to ordering the removal of all previous coverage, I fought it. I met the good judge on her home court … and WON! It was a precedent setting case for free speech/free press on the internet. The case was widely covered.

While Judges are Immune from Civil suit, they are not Immune from Criminal prosecution.
Fortunately DOJ has Ed Martin ,Harmeet Dhillon and several other prosecutors eager to prosecute corruption via lawfare. Long overdue for the precedents to be overturned , Trump not only changed the Supreme Court, he also has a very good plan to overturn abusive precedents. I.e. Roe , Chevron deference, Bump stock ban, May issue gun laws and now has Humphrey’s Executor v. United States. teetering on the edge of the dustpan of historically unconstitutional Precedents set by Judicial Imperialists.

No, the school wins hands down. Parents don’t stand a chance. No books. It’s all taught on little computer screens, what happens in school stays there. You can’t teach without books and hands on paper anymore you can teach karate like that.

The democrats sort of remind of the Westborough Baptist church members that protested military funerals and celebrated human tragedy in a lot of ways.

If not, then your last name is the fictional Kapanski’s, who are paying for “Social Services Alley” aka Nothing on North Street, along with Pittsfield’s over-priced Level 5 (failed), Group 11 (underclass) public school district, to the tune of over $62 million more per fiscal year 2026 than the similarly sized Western Massachusetts City of Westfield.
I could see the posting these six sessions if Pittsfield politics would actually start caring about the common people, financially constrained local taxpayers, lowest in the commonwealth ranked public schools, and so on, but Mayor Peter Marchetti is still proposing fining homeless residents for the so-called “crime” of sleeping on public property with no alternatives instead of providing targeted assistance evidenced-based programs to get the underclass out of their misery.
In Pittsfield: 2 + 2 = 5. What a total contradiction in terms!

Each session will feature insights from individuals with lived experience and experts in the fields of immigration, domestic violence, criminal justice, substance use disorder, housing insecurity and LGBTQ+ issues.

Also, why is the City posting for a City Solicitor, didn’t they just hire one? He has pointed out some managerial mishaps the City has been doing incorrectly for years. Does the Administration not like him doing that?

Yes, KB picked a curious time to bail out, just before the start of the school year. It’s another ominous sign for the district. As with everything in the city, there’s more to the exit than what’s on the surface.
If I were her I would INSIST the city do a forensic audit of the school system budge and any related indirectly paid expenses just to show everything was in excellent condition when I left. That way she could not be blamed if things go sideways at a later date. INSIST. Right now today. Get er done! All reputable business s do it.
