PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

[ED. NOTE: This column was written before the vote in the House of Representatives on release of the Epstein files. The House voted overwhelmingly to approve release of the Epstein Files. ]

———- ooo ———-

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE WEDNESDAY NOV. 19, 2025) — Periodically people, including those on this board, have asked THE PLANET our views on release of the “Epstein Files.”

These are the files in the possession of the Justice Department related to the sex trafficking operations of the late Jeffrey Epstein. In 2019, Epstein committed suicide while in jail awaiting trial.

Let it be clear: THE PLANET supports the full release of all materials, with redaction allowed only to protect the names of victims as well as information that would compromise ongoing investigations. Everything else should see the light of day.

The release of files, at least the process leading to release, could happen this week, with the House of Representatives voting. A “deluge of Republicans” are expected to join Democrats in demanding transparency. What happens in the Senate should the House give the OK remains to be seen.

———- ooo ———-

“There could be 100 or more” House Republicans voting to release the files, said Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky. “I’m hoping to get a veto-proof majority on this legislation when it comes up for a vote.” Take this as a sign that, with the mid-terms coming up next year, the GOP is getting nervous and see this issue as an albatross. Trump’s best bet was to order the Justice Department to release the files. It’s too late now, and it looks like he’s going to cut his losses.

House Speaker Mike Johnson said, “We’ll just get this done and move it on. [President Trump] “has nothing to hide from this. They’re doing this to go after President Trump on this theory that he has something to do with it. He does not.”

If that’s the case, Trump comes out a winner. If not, he’ll take a beating.

The House measure would require the Justice Department “to release all files and communications related to Epstein, as well as any information about the investigation into his death in federal prison.” Many believe Epstein’s death wasn’t a suicide but a hit.

**************************************

According to the AP, “The vote comes at a time when new documents are raising fresh questions about Epstein and his associates, including a 2019 email that Epstein wrote to a journalist that said Trump ‘knew about the girls.’” The White House has accused Democrats of selectively leaking parts of the emails out of context.

This, of course, has led Trump haters to jump aboard the accusation train, making thus-far unsupported claims. If the files support those claims, it’s another story. Epstein, of course, knew countless celebrities, politicians, royalty, and others in power. As AP writes, most of these have “never been accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein[,] and the mere inclusion of someone’s name in files from the investigation does not imply otherwise.”

Come what may. If the House forces the release of the files, let those who have been guilty of wrongdoing, particularly participating in sexual trafficking, be held accountable.

———- ooo ———-

THE PLANET personally believes that while Epstein and Trump knew each other, the latter was not involved in the former’s illegal sexual activities. Nothing we’ve seen so far contradicts that. We say that, of course, without having access to the files. If the material sees the light of day, let the chips fall where they may.

In a related aside, we loathe government’s default position to hide important information it deems embarrassing. Citizens need to know what crimes and subterfuge our “leaders” are committing. Coverups, for example, have been the way of it in Bitchfield, with lazy elected officials, zero oversight, and virtually no accountability. Why do you think the mayor and council president are terrified of an independent audit?

We’re hoping the new school committee tries what the House is doing by forcing the release of the “independent” investigation to the city’s multiple school-department scandals. As long as the Marchetti administration continues to hide that material, citizens and taxpayers must assume the PSD’s shameful improprieties are continuing.

THE PLANET directly appeals to those people who will form the new committee when they take office and swear by the oath. We call on Ciara Batory particularly, who made the matter the fulcrum of his election campaign.

Pittsfield public schools are rated Level 5 (failed), Group 11 (underclass), have a systemic shortage of faculty and staff, are controlled by the corrupt public unions, have covered-up scandals that cost taxpayers 6-figures, have a “synthetic” School Committee that would have to fight the very system that they are part of to bring real and positive change, and Mayor Peter Marchetti not even mentioning them when he talked nothing but nonsense to the Berkshire Eagle 2-weeks after the recent local election.

Hopefully the Bitchfield Pubic Scohol’s will get back to teaching the 3 R’s and get away from liberal indoctrination with President Trump looking to break up the Department of Education and transfer their function to other federal agencies not beholden to the democRAT-led teacher’s union.

If my child went to PHS, I would want him/her to learn how to read and write, be able to research topics without technology, and to think critically.

What I don’t want is them to be subjected drug dealers posing as school administrators, hired only because he is a black male, not qualifications. He had NONE.

Maybe my son would like it, but I wouldn’t as a parent, to know that my children and others would have viewed their adult principal’s genitals and know if she shaves or not, or if she wears underwear to school.

So here’s the deal. Trump stated he kicked Epstein out because he was let’s say,no good. What Trump does not found out is did he have friendly contact after his statement. I don’t think they’ll find it in the e mails. Trump skates….again. Make sense ? Fritz?

They cannot release the files while there is an active investigation regarding the situation. And GUESS WHAT?? Somebody, coincidentally, was not part of a predetermined plan mind you, has just opened an investigation into Epstein’s banks.

Aww shucks! No one saw that one coming huh? Do you think all those politicians all finally voted for the release, (right after trump told them it was OK) because they actually thought they would be released? If you do you are an Idjut.

Do you know who the “Brooklyn Barack,” is Meanwhile? If not, maybe turn off The View, pull up your pants (clean up), and google it and do a little research yourself. I’ll even give you a hint, it happened in 2013.

Did you know Stacy Plaskett was texting with Jeff Epstein, during a Congressional Hearing, in an attempt to “get Trump.”

Epstein was a CONVICTED CHILD MOLESTOR at the time.

The Epstein Files have backfired on democRATS. You realize he was a democRAT himself and HATED President Trump.

Have you really reached the pits of hell, where you believe a child being raped is no big deal, as long as it “gets Trump?”

The Autopen and Harris Administration had 4 years, 2 assassination attempts on Trump, a nonviolent coup to install Harris, a democRAT controlled Senate and House, a Pelosi staged J6 to “get Trump,” bogus felony charges against Trump, the Autopen weaponized DOJ going through Melania’s underwear drawer searching for “classified documents,” and if they had Trump dead to right with Epstein, they wouldn’t have released the “bleached list,” with his name prominently displayed for the world to see?

I find almost equally appalling, people who defend pedophiles or do not want to even know if they are or are not. They would rather protect and defend their worshiped idol than protect young children. How pathetic is that??? If you recall, this is how it went on so long in the catholic church. No one wanted to believe priests could molest children. So, like you, they chose denial.

Perhaps if the files were released you could see a different picture. But of course they never will be and you should be asking yourself why. Unless of course you do not want to know which seems to be your situation.

Hello blogger Dan Valenti,

The wheels of JUSTICE moves slowly. The color of JUSTICE is green = MONEY. There will be wealthy and powerful people who will be disgraced by the release of the Epstein Files. They will all be presumed innocent until proven guilty, but many lives will be ruined.

Do we all remember what preceded the 09/11/2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S.A.’s homeland?

Answer: President Bill Clinton receiving blow jobs from White House Intern Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office room in The White House.

Why did we allowed ourselves and the U.S. Government to be distracted by Bill and Monica’s mouth-love affair instead of stopping 09/11’s day of terrorism?

Is U.S. history repeating itself 30 years later in the mid-2020’s? Are we going to allow ourselves and the U.S. Government to be distracted by the release of the Epstein Files?

Where will all of this lead to?

I am not writing that President Bill Clinton receiving blow jobs from White House Intern Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office, and his 2 Felony Convictions – Perjury and Suborning Perjury – are not serious.

Nor am I writing that the Epstein Files that involve wealthy and powerful people are not serious.

What I am writing here is that the unintended consequences may lead our country down another dark path, and we should learn from the past 30 years of U.S. history to not let similar events repeat themselves.

Best wishes,

Jon Melle

Swamp creature type politicians from the fed, state and local levels:

Act like they are Offended by everything.

But really are not Ashamed of anything.

They also think they are Entitled to everything.

While Contributing nothing…

All the while demanding more access to the taxpayers wallet rather

After reading your intro Dan made me think of all the transperancy I would love to see from “the Pitts”, “Bitchfield”, “GOBland”, “Failed Democracy”,”City of Democrat Rule”,etc.
Would love to see a complete Fiscal Audit and Personnel Audit of every Department
Would love to see a complete investigative report on all the shenanigans that have happened in the city schools, from the missing $10,000.00, to the sex scandals of the Supe to lower levels, drug selling, paid posses to fight, to soccer brawls, etc.
Would love to see where the missing $500,000.00 flags went that were for all the erected flag poles to make the city cute
Would love to see a second opinion from a reputable company on the steel support beams that are at Wahconah Park
Would love to see the return of the Greenhouses the city bought for North St during Covid
Would love to see a return of all the illegally spent ARPA money so it could go towards the water and sewer upgrades that they were meant for
Would love to see the voter rolls and the implementation of a state ID to vote
I have many other thoughts on this but I do not want to bore the readers that are reading this post

Ask Pete White. He is very open and honest about city business with his constituency. And ask him in an open audio/video format so you can play it here and we can all see how seriously he takes his job as a leader of the people. He is looking for such things to put on his resume in case he goes looking for a new job. So I hear.

Are you trying to tell the taxpayers in Bitchfield that their ARPA money didn’t benefit the city at all, by allowing Shirley Edgerton to take her family and friends on all (taxpayer paid) expense paid trip to Africa, so he could “explore her roots.”

Linda “Flat” Tyer-Clairmont gave Shirley $500,000 for her ROPES course, to allow for this trip.

I’d love to see an accounting of where EVERY penny of that 500 large went. You know, like you’re supposed to.

I asked Google AI:

What are common criticisms of local Pittsfield politics?

Common criticisms of local Pittsfield politics include concerns about high property taxes, transparency issues, the handling of social issues like homelessness and public safety, and a perceived lack of accountability and collaboration among city officials.
Key areas of frequent criticism are:

  • Property Taxes and Spending: Residents frequently complain about high and rising property taxes, with some critics alleging fiscal mismanagement and unnecessary spending on city projects, such as the multi-million dollar wastewater plant upgrades.
  • Homelessness and Public Safety: There is significant public concern regarding homelessness, drug addiction, and overall public safety, particularly in the downtown area. Proposed ordinances targeting public camping have faced sharp criticism for potentially “criminalizing” homelessness rather than providing effective services or solutions.
  • Transparency and Accountability: The local government has faced criticism and even lawsuits, notably from the ACLU of Massachusetts, for allegedly failing to provide public records and for a general lack of transparency in police and school matters. The city council has been criticized for infighting, “personality issues,” and for not always adequately representing constituents’ concerns.
  • School District Management: The School Committee and school administration have faced intense scrutiny over their handling of staff misconduct allegations, with the City Council and public questioning the transparency of investigations and the adequacy of hiring practices.
  • Economic Development and Blight: Concerns are often raised about blighted properties, aging infrastructure, and a lack of economic investment in certain neighborhoods, with residents feeling these issues are not being adequately addressed by local leadership.
  • Elected Officials’ Conduct: Individual officials have faced accusations of misconduct, including allegations of discrimination and creating a hostile work environment, which has contributed to public discontent and the perception of a toxic political environment.

Mayor Marchetti says that housing is one of his biggest issues, but what have Democrats done about it all these years? They want to blame the lack of housing on COVID, but not blame their policy of bringing lots of illegal immigrants to Pittsfield after making us a sanctuary city or their strict regulations on housing.

Does one of the councilors think he’s very smart.Said Councilor asked if the company in the BIC over at the PEDA site ever been give any of the PEDA money?… He doesn’t know that.
Then the councilor says to the gentleman wanting to build an expansion to the current facilities, will you need more money?….Why do you think he is there? 500 g ..

Has this company met the jobs criteria? And if so how many are local. On to Wahconah Swamp Park.

The biggest housing issue is that degenerates are destroying said housing and making it unlivable for others. They all want free, free, free, but won’t take care of what is given to them… because it’s free.

Mental illness and personal choices are the reasons for homelessness being rampant.

They “care” for the illegals, homeless, mentally ill, and lazy, but wouldn’t let any move into their homes or even near their gated communities to help with the lack of housing situation.

Hello blogger Dan Valenti,

Massachusetts state lawmakers embarked on a six-week holiday season recess Wednesday night, November 19th, 2025 – Wednesday morning, January 07th, 2025.

https://www.wbur.org/news/2025/11/20/massachusetts-state-house-holiday-break

Homelessness numbers are increasing, food is very expensive, heating and other energy costs are rising, healthcare insurance costs will so increase by close to double digits and above, local governments are facing record operational costs, while state aid is underfunded in Massachusetts.

Who will be representing the common people, the cities and towns the common people reside in, the difficult choices the common people have to make between housing, food, heat and other energy needs, healthcare, which at times can be life or death, and so on, over these 6 long weeks of late-Fall and early-Winter?

On the PlanetValenti.com blog, I am publicly asking Governor Maura Healey, State Senator Paul Mark, State Representatives John Barrett III, Tricia Farley Bouvier, Leigh Davis, and the like, to please reply to my question(s).

Jon Melle

P.S. When there are no replies from the career politicians, I will NOT be at all surprised.
