CITY SCHOOL ‘LEADERS’ CHOOSE INDOCTRINATION OVER EDUCATION

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE THE WEEKEND EDITION, JAN. 23-5, 2026) — If THE PLANET is in the market for a new superintendent of schools, the absolutely LAST person we’d look at would be anyone who most recently held the job of “Chief Equity Engagement Officer/Assistant Superintendent of Equity” for any school department, especially one in The People’s Republic of Massachusetts, a radical, matriarchal socialist state.
That, of course, assumes THE PLANET would be deadly serious about EDUCATING children and not INDOCTRINATING them. And we would be.
Once again, we march out of step with the city of Bitchfield, whose Sochol Committee (SC) sold snookered taxpayers down the Housy with a tennis racket for a paddle. The SC incompetents not only hired such an ideologue to serve as interim super, but they extended her for a full year. The result has been predictable, and if anyone wants to pose as a faultless psychic, they can predict that city public schools will hasten the easy work of their implosion. Talk about safe bets. The only thing safer would be to go back in time and predict skunkworks would be in play in the most recent couple of mayoral elections. Superintendent Queen Latifah, who declined THE PLANET‘s invitation for coffee (no doubt having been briefed that we devour babies and cripple grandmothers), believes in racial discrimination, favoring groups identified by disastrous diversity, equity, and inclusion ideology. A person who discriminates on the basic of skin color is by definition a racist.
Having an ideologue instead of an educator heading schools will further mean, and we mean “mean,” erosion of curricula to promote racial and sexist ideology that is both unconstitutional and a violation of civil rights. Incidentally, please pass along word to the superintendent that we will meet with her anytime, anyplace. If it’s for coffee, it’s on us.
All of which brings us to the new SC, which has thus far been acquiescent as Mel Cooley and silent as Harpo Marx.
Check out the top-heavy administrative bloat that’s gummed up the words. Compare it with school performance. Taxpayers fund the following positions (all salaries step 6 FY27):

We shan’t post the six-figure salaries for assistant principals, school psychologist, clinical psychologist, school adjustment counselors, director of ALC, grants coordinator, 21at century grants coordinator, deans of students (a million of them) assistant principal of teaching and learning, cultural competency director, special education coordinator, accountability coordinator, autism coordinator, emergency safety and attendance coordinator, SEL coordinator, supervisor of career and technical education. This does not include superintendent, assistant superintendent, associate superintendent, associate deputy superintendent, associate assistant superintendent, associate assistant deputy superintendent, adjunct associate assistant deputy superintendent, on and on to the last digit of Pi. Note that the six-figure salaries increase by at least 25% when you add bennies.
This man loves transparency … except when he doesn’t.
Oh, and you may have missed this, since it was buried deep within the PSD website. It is a hot link “Community Webinar” put on by the PSD June 4, 2025, midst the firestorm surrounding the sex and drug scandals. It’s under the preposterous heading of “Enough Abuse.”
It deals with “sexual comments; sexual jokes; exposure of genitals; sharing inappropriate photos, texts, messages; kissing; touching; sexual intercourse; oral sex.”

Gosh. Bitchfield has on the one hand a sanitized report of the scandals that the city nonetheless hides from the public. On the other mitt, the city decides to spend heavy resources on the webinar to address the same sordid topics that surfaced involving school staff and administrators.

Pittsfield’s 5 (failed), Group 11 (underclass) public schools are….SAD!
Career politicians do NOT care about public education. The Pittsfield School Committee is NOT going to change anything for the better in 2026.
679 students choice out of Pittsfield schools to neighboring communities’ public school districts per academic year. The students do NOT trust the Pittsfield school district. The parents do NOT trust it either. In fact, the only people who trust Pittsfield politics are in a state of DELUSION.
I believe that DEI is NOT the problem in Pittsfield because long before being WOKE became popular, Pittsfield’s public schools tanked decades ago.
If one is white or black, a man or a woman, or another demographic identity, it is difficult for anyone to live in the underclass population. Let us not forget, please, that the 2-Pete’s Pittsfield politics’ “War against the underclass” residents of Pittsfield is still going on in 2026, despite the 2025 protests.
There should NOT be an underclass population in the first place. But since there is an underclass population, then the system should be providing TARGETED Assistance to assist the poor people out of their misery. That is NOT being done in Pittsfield politics (& beyond) in 2026.
Pittsfield politics is in a decades-long downward spiral of BIG spenders and failed public schools.

A smart people might want to buy the mall and turn it into an educational facility. Prolly get several hundred opt out students from Pittsfield as soon as the concept was announced.
Does not look like the mayor is terribly concerned about the city losing education money though. He is building ball parks for private investment groups fer gods sake. With taxpayer money and no expected return to them except for a very small minority.
People are always asking if in Pittsfield the tail wags the doggie and it does seem the propensity of evidence would validate that theory.

I always believed that the Bitchfield Pubic Scohol Dapermant hired Queen Latifah as sort of a “safeguard” to keep the few inquiring public members at bay with the fear of the “race card” being pulled on them and deemed “racist,” if they started asking too many questions about the white-washed report or the low school performance.
As we all know by now, the “race card” is kryptonite to older, white, liberals. Especially older, white, liberal females, like former failed mayor Linda “Flat” Tyer Clairmont and current (failing) mayor, Lumpy Marchetti.
And on cue recently, when Queen Latifah began mentioning “equity” in the educational process, this set the groundwork to blame President Trump and MAGA, for the poor performance of the schools.
When federal funds are cut to MA and the cities and towns of MA because of sanctuary
city policies and Gov Maura Healey spending our tax money on illegal aliens, and now those areas are struggling financially to make up these lost funds, these will be the reasons given: “racist,” “unequitable to blue states,” and of course the tried and true, “Hitler’s Germany used to….”
After all that, I read a post yesterday that made me rethink all of this above. I don’t remember the poster, but he/she said, they believed Queen Latifah took the job, because nobody else wanted it.
I believe this theory more. Most school administrators have a desire to lead and reshape things their way. If it’s successful, they will leave for much greener pastures, both financially and professionally.
Bitchfield fits that perfectly, unless it’s so f**ked up, it’s like offering a person a job of cleaning toilets in a junior high school for a whopping $2.00 an hour.
Anyone with a functioning brain wouldn’t give it a second thought, unless…..
There are always exceptions to the rule:
**Any black male in Bitchfield, with no secondary education and an expired dance certificate, may bypass the hiring process right into a $100,000 a year career as a school administrator.
*Dealing narcotics is a plus too. In addition to school administrator, this person will also teach a HS dual-enrollment, college credit course, dealing with finances, sales, and acquisition, of products.

Good point. In states such as MA and MN, having a person in a job like mayor, chief of police, superintendent of schools, council president, and such who has the race card in the hole offers a precious layer of protection to hide whatever corruption may be underneath.
Whatever happened to that guy? Did he sue the city for slander and get a 44 million dollar settlement or sumptin? Or was he nominated by the mayor for a proclamation for his contribution to the students?
Why when something bad happens in Pittsfield does the news about it seem to die on the vine? All these house fires and it never comes out how they started? All these wicked bad car accidents and we never learn who was at fault.

Now let’s see, why in the name of heaven wouldn’t she want to meet and have coffee with you? Because you’ve never said anything nice about her. The only thing you’ve ever done is publicly demean, insult, humiliate her and publicly accuse her of being a racist and an inferior DEI hire. College age students were being asked basic questions by a reporter the other day and they didn’t know the answers. Questions such as how much is 20% of $100.00 and what is heavier a pound of bricks or a pound of feathers. The answers were not good. They didn’t know and they were college educated. Clear proof, as if any was needed, that they are just attending college to be politically indoctrinated. The politicians want mindless followers.
In Minneapolis today violence is again out of hand because an ICE officer tried to arrest an armed man who put up a fight and was shot and killed. The Minneapolis politicians are not sending in local police to calm the situation, they just want ICE to leave and will use the violence to get them out. Many in the crowd of violent protesters were taunting ICE and throwing things at them and many of these violent protesters were very emotionally unstable. These people are being used by the Democrats with George Soros funding to create chaos so Democrats can keep the illegal immigrants in their cities and the corruption can continue in Minneapolis.
Rioter bit off finger of ICE agent who was just doing his job of arresting dangerous sexual predators. The ICE agent was trying to protect the community. The people not rioting want their communities to be safe. Women rioters were charging at ICE agents and shouting obscenities at them. ICE has to push these females to the side because they are impeding federal law enforcement. It happens in this area too where our local newspaper Berkshire Eagle is clearly against ICE arresting criminals and doesn’t care about the public safety when they run articles warning of ICE arrests and telling people to get too close to the federal agents.

You must not bring a loaded gun to a public demonstration. It’s illegal, and it is reckless because you never bring a gun to a place you are certain that you will not want to use it.
The officer was evidently spooked by a violent crowd and when the gun went off, he reacted, unfortunately, to the adversity of both.
I’m not buying the emotional language of words like “excution”, massacre, etc… The events leading up to and culminating in the shooting mirrors the circumstances that led to the events today referred to, inaccurately, as the “Boston Massacre” in 1770. 8 Royal soldiers opened fire on a violent crowd killing several. With those soldiers charged with murder, the execution of those soldiers was certain in the pro-dock worker environment of the time and place. Fortunately, it fell to lawyer John Adams, the only lawyer willing to defend the charged, to successfully defend them.
For posterity, our inheritance from that trial, is Adam’s words, “Facts are stubborn things and whatever our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictums of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.“
Chaz you are wrong if you have a conceal carry permit bringng a loaded gun to a public demonstration is completely legal. It is my 2nd amendment right to bring my loaded Glock to a public demonstrations.
Yes, but how wise is it to bring your loaded Glock into a highly tense situation and then begin to interfere with law enforcement efforts?
Key point. Gun safety is more than handling – it’s behavior and actions as well. This guy came locked, locked, and ready to rock.

Extremely wise to follow your second amendment rights, especially if you intend to protest but not to interfere. I’ve taken my loaded piece to tense rally’s as is my 2nd amendment right.
I’ve been to 2nd A rallies, and never bring a weapon. Last thing I want is the following headline: “Violence strikes Second Amendment Rally”.
That is exactly what you want to avoid. If you think you will need a weapon at a rally, stay away. Otherwise, remember to take off your watch. They never survive a riot.

Supreme Court rules that the 2 Amendment does have limitations. The days of demonstrating with signs on sticks has past. Demonstrations are to be lawful and peaceful events.
Unless you want the headline “violence hit X protest”, you leave the weapon at home. He went to a site of police activity, he brought a loaded gun which went off, and he engaged officers. Now he is dead. Unfortunate, probably a decent guy, but that days events was in his hands.

I agree the Pittsfield Schools should go back to teaching the basics including discipline, in the childrens learning and behaviors.
I find it humorous that the PSC looks to Westfield for their new grade/school system yet they do not follow the starting times for each grade. In Westfield the elementary go to school first and the high school last(8:30am start time). This follows what researchers have stated for years High School students should start later in the morning. Typical Pitts only use “science” when it advances their opinions
