O, CANADA! … STUPID BY HALF … EARLY ONSET … BOON, AS IN BOONDOGGLE

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE THE WEEKEND EDITION JAN. 16-8, 2026) — This Weekend Edition is brought to you by Dis-O-Dent, the toothpaste for Minneapolis moonbats.

O, Canada!: Art is born of restraint. It dies from too much freedom. So wrote French writer Andre Gide. The same applies to freedom itself. Freedom is not license. It comes with a flip side known as responsibility and owning up to one’s actions. Of course, this has been lost on the shrieking banshees of Minneapolis, who have

long ago lost any respect for what one might afford for a more responsible civic demonstration. They are the bitches of political protest, making up in hysteria what they lack in common sense. THE PLANET, in service to the country, recommends that Secretary of State Marco Rubio sell the entire state of Minnesota to Canada for $7.2 million — the same price Bill Seward paid Russia for Alaska. Call it Rubio’s Folly. The move also would serve as a consolation to the late Renee Good and her widow. They say the views from Canadian cemeteries are spectacular.

———- ooo ———-

Wahconah Park, in better days. Early in the 1968 season, Red Sox pitcher Paul Dowd throws to an Indian batter. First baseman Jim Russin awaits. (Photo by Dan Valenti).

Stupid by Half: Closer to home, anyone notice how the skunks running the city of Bitchfield accidentally revealed the joke of the city’s finances and its, uh, casual approach to fiscal matters? Enter, denuded Wahconah Park. In the foolish plan to “refurbish” the old ball yard, fronted by Mayor Lumpy on behalf of cats sure to grow fat, the city estimated the cost at $30 million. Typically in the People’s Republic, costs balloon exponentially. They don’t go down. The BIC, estimated at $3 million, cost $11 million. The $2 billion Big Dig? $15 billion. With the ball park, out of nowhere, the city revised by half. The blackhats now say the project will set taxpayers back “only” $15 million. Can you say “fishy?” A couple other random notes: (1) Despite the city saying the grandstand superstructure was about to crash in on itself killing hundreds, the project will utilize the existing pine piers from 1947!!! (2) Only $3 million is in hand (taxpayers’ dough, naturally … you think private capital would be stupid enough to belly up to this beer tent?). Yup. The financing is not in place. Sound familiar?

———- ooo ———-

Early Onset: The first true meeting of the city’s Sochol Committee put drying paint to sleep. Dan “Wiggy” Elias gave a lengthy report so boring that Peter White, watching at home, thought he was his own mother. Ciara Batory, The People’s Great White Hope, shrank from the moment. The Incredible Shrinking Woman and  Chairman Lumpy had a most awkward exchange involving emails and miscommunication, with CB sounding shaky, unprepared, and nervous. Have they gotten to her already? Then there was Lady Boots Yon. Slurring words is one thing, but slurring illogical mumbles is another. Early onset?

———- ooo ———-

Sochol Supt. Queen Latifah

Boon, as in Boondoggle: In other Sochol Committee matters, Superintendent Queen Latifah shared good news. She reported that Bitchfield lost another $5 million to school choice. It could have been $6mm. Parents pulled their young scholars out of city schools at a rate more than 10 times those opting in — 66 inbound, nearly 700 outgoing for brighter educational portals. Also, the school population dipped below 5,000 to just over 4,800. Despite this and the hundreds of vacant spaces in existing elementary schools, the brainiacs plan to build a $100 million new one. THE PLANET can vouch that every penny will be accounted for by the city’s aggressive monitoring practices, especially in that third set of books in the matriarchy of the school accounting department.  Mark it. This one’s going to exceed the estimate. Pretty soon, THE PLANET will ask Queen Latifah for a sit down? What’s the over-under on whether she’ll do it or not? Will she go the Marchetti-White-Persip route, or will she “man-up” and dare to mount THE PLANET‘s hot seat?

Have a great holiday weekend, everybody.

State administered, federal aid has been cut by the Swamp. Pittsfield is going to have a budget deficit in 2026, 2027, 2028, and into 2029.

The Wahconah Park boondoggle, the wastewater plant boondoggle, the school building boondoggle, and so on are not realistic given Pittsfield’s fiscal constraints over the next three-plus years.

There is no talk of limiting city spending. Pittsfield is a circus-like city run by clowns.

Dobelle offers federal-fund plan to rehabilitate Wahconah Park

By Grier Horner

A plan to rehabilitate Wahconah Park and make it an “ absolutely dry” playing field was put before the City Council last night by Mayor Evan S. Dobelle told the Council that the project would cost from $400,000 to $500,000. It would be financed, without cost to local taxpayers, he said, under the federal Community Development Act. Funds from that source have been used here for neighborhood rehabilitation.

Many more special interest grift pockets lined up these days. In fact, they are the ones who come up with all these super expensive projects in the first place.
I do not believe this mayor or even city council would have the balls to insult the taxpayers with a new ballpark in the face of such economic suffering without being heavily leaned on by their handlers. It is just too stupid on its face, even for them.

How about MN’s Tampon Timmy and all those Somalis the Leftists love so much!

9 Billion in Federal funds for: “daycare”, SNAP, housing, …….none accounted for, except some went overseas to Somali terrorists.

MN daycare centers are empty/boarded up. Why do they even need daycare? If ALL the mothers/fathers are “at home”, on welfare!

Has Healey started sending funds to overseas terrorist groups also/yet?

They are going to use it to rehab the park for a private business? Has Marchettis ever came forward and told us who The Goldklang Group is and what their own financial investment is in Pittsfield?

The Goldklang Group is a sports entertainment consulting and management firm. The Group provides operational consulting and management services in all areas relating to sports franchise, event, and venue acquisition, promotion and operation.

Armed with a passion for the game and the foresight of growth within professional baseball, Marv Goldklang formed the Goldklang Group. A fan himself, Goldklang set out to capitalize on what he felt were the key ingredients to success once the market and venue was established- providing superior customer service, cutting edge ideas, and family entertainment at affordable prices.

The origins of the Goldklang Group date back to September 1989, when investment partnerships headed by Goldklang acquired controlling interests in three affiliated Minor League Baseball franchises – the Single A Charleston, S.C. franchise in the South Atlantic League; the Single A Miami, Fla. Franchise in the Florida State League (relocated to Ft. Myers in 1992); and the Double A Williamsport, Pa franchise in the Eastern League. At that time, the Goldklang Group also acquired a substantial minority interest in the Triple A Oklahoma City franchise in the American Association, which subsequently was sold in 1992. In 1990, the Goldklang Group added the Erie, Pa. franchise in the short season A New York-Penn League, which was relocated to the Hudson Valley, N.Y. region in 1994. In December 1990, a new Professional Baseball Agreement was entered into between the Major Leagues and the affiliated Minor Leagues which, among other things, mandated affiliation of the Goldklang Group’s Williamsport franchise with the New York Mets. Goldklang, also a part owner of the New York Yankees, thereupon entered into discussions with the crosstown rival, resulting in sale of the franchise to the Mets in 1991. In 1992, Goldklang and Mike Veeck participated with Miles Wolff and Van Schley in recreating the concept of independent professional baseball and helped establish the Northern League, acquiring rights to St. Paul, Minn. where the Goldklang Group’s franchise commenced play in 1993. The Saints immediately became the league’s premiere franchise, garnering national attention and acclaim on a regular basis.

For more than two decades, the Group has participated in the construction and/or financing of three minor league baseball stadiums (Hudson Valley, Charleston and Brockton), and most recently have added a fourth with CHS Field opening in St. Paul at the start of the 2015 season. Goldklang and Veeck were also at the forefront of the formation of the American Association in 2005, a modern independent baseball venture in which the St. Paul franchise played until becoming a Triple-A affiliate in the 2021 season.

Today, the Group’s core business remains the operation of its proprietary clubs and year-round management of their associated venues.

There was an article in a local paper concerning the school choice debacle. Seems the city is lauding the fact that 60 or so students from other schools wanted to come to Taconic for its vocational programs. Dancing in the streets over this one.

Then someone brought up all the kids leaving the system and was wondering why they would do so. And someone then suggested they try to find out WHY parents would not want their beloved children to go to school in Pittsfield, Mass. And one of the higher ups thought that might be a good idea to see if they could find out why. Get a “better understanding” of why they opt out?

So apparently it never occurred over these many years, as more and more kids were bailing on Pittsfield schools, to find out why? Only NOW someone might ask? Was there even speculation at the school committee level? And if so, can we get the minutes from that meeting? Who was the head of the Pittsfield school system when kids started opting out and how long was this person still in charge as the situation continued to get worse? Anybody even care? And who were the long-term school committee members overseeing the demise of the system in real time? Are some of them still there and if so, why?

And could the recent surge of bailouts be in any way connected to the secrecy the mayor has cloaked the PHS investigation in? By hiding the report, even after a state mandate, did the mayor cause panic among parents who did not want to chance sending their children into the unknown? Did anyone in the system worry that a mass bailout might occur?

Seriously, no one is denying there is an investigation report that has been done. No one is denying it is being kept from the public. What is a parent supposed to think except, “UH OH. Do I want to find out the hard way what it is they are hiding?” Some obviously do not and who can blame them.

Does anyone else remember that several years ago when opt-outs of the district was becoming a serious issue, the department vowed to survey every opt-out family to profile why students were leaving and what could be done to keep them. Well, after that promise, we never heard another word. City deja-vous as always.

With President Trump and his team cutting all the fraudulent use of government money (SNAP, Childcare, etc.) illegally given to illegal aliens and then illegally kicked back to members of the democRAT party, it makes you wonder if the Bitchfield GOBSIG’s are scrambling to find ways to swindle the taxpayer and keep the grift going.

With a continuing declining enrollment, why does Bitchfield need a new $100,000,000 school?

https://worldpopulationreview.com/us-cities/massachusetts/pittsfield

https://www.berkshireeagle.com/news/central_berkshires/pittsfield-west-side-school-feasibility-study-approved-msba/article_2797fac0-60a8-42bf-a3e7-adf84fff923d.html

And then on top of all that, they plan to “refurbish” Wahconah Park, at the rate of ONLY $15,000,000.

https://www.iberkshires.com/story/81389/Wahconah-Park-Grandstand-Cost-Halved-to-15M.html

As I reread my first paragraph and am constantly bombarded with news of “making things more affordable for the middle class,” I have to ask the $115,000,000 question, why such a hurry to get shovels in the ground for these boondoggles?

Neither one strike a democRAT talking point. It doesn’t make anything affordable and most middle class who live in Bitchfield, opt their children out of Bitchfield Pubic Scohol, so their child can get a good education in other districts and not learn how to become a social media influencer on TikTok during World History class.

**Well, we all know why there’s a rush-job on these projects. Hell, even at a 3% kickback from $115,000,000 of Bitchfield tax dollars the GOBSIG’s can have their Christmas and Birthday cards stuffed with a meager $3,450,000 of MY/YOUR TAX MONEY.

Watching Yon at the meeting was cringe worthy. Had heard years ago she was suffering from an early onset of dementia. What is wrong with her family members that they didn’t advise her to stay retired? Reminds me of another family named Biden who did the same with their loved one. Most of all it shows that voters in Bitchfield vote by a familiar name not what the candidate is offering and saying. It’s a shame. Can’t remember who the next candidate in line was, but it was completely unfair to them. Only in Bitchfield.

What you people are confused about is the loyalty of democrats and other leftists. We are just as loyal to the USA as you guys, yet you insist on habitually making insulting and untrue statements about our disloyalty as a knee-jerk reaction, without any hope of you moderating your crass attacks and negativity.

In 1937 Einstein’s visa was held up by those who felt he wasn’t loyal to the USA and that he wanted to work for its downfall.

Wrong again, K. VISAs are supposed to be hard to get – otherwise what’s the point of them? And we thank Einstein for doing the good and right thing by applying for one. He lived up to his promise to be a good citizen and proved his detractors wrong.

Since the Make China Great Bill of Bill Clinton, the question of the Party’s loyalty became an increasing concern.

Leftists are seditious in general (either in act or in preference) and cannot claim to love the USA. As I write, an army of 4,000 paid leftist self-described warriors are heading, to Minneapolis to battle the United States Government and the US Constitution on behalf of foreign enemies.

Democrats are a recognized political party, and despite its original purpose which was preserving the legacy of the Confederate South as late as the 1960’s, arguably beyond, the loyalty of the Party was not in question. Afterall, loyalty to America requires rejection of European and other foreign political identities and preserve that which is distinctly American.

Pittsfield is a Gateway City. The surrounding municipalities are Rural Towns.

Gateway Cities and Rural Towns: Western Massachusetts rural towns and gateway cities are particularly vulnerable as they lack the local tax base to replace lost federal aid for essential services like roads and healthcare.

The biggest financial hit for Pittsfield will be an over 10-percent (around $9.5-million $10 million dollars) federal aid funding cut – distributed via the state government – to its (bloated) budget.

Pittsfield will also lose many millions of dollars in state administered, federal funding aid for its other municipal departments and services.

It will mean that around 100 city and school employees will lose their public jobs due to the upcoming budget cuts.

Pittsfield taxes its commercial rates at its maximum. That leaves the city to raise additional taxes and fees on residential rates outside of borrowing large amounts of money.

Given the limited constraints on Pittsfield’s excessive spending, it is NOT the time to borrow tens of millions of dollars for the would-be boondoggles in 2026.

Most of that aid, which actually comes directly out of the pockets of rural people, is stolen, directed to payrolls, or diverted to general cash accounts anyway. Rural Health aid, expanding dairy options to school cafeterias, and other rural directed aid and legislation is welcome.

Trump said in the letter that after failing to win the prize, he no longer felt the need to think “purely of peace”. He said: “Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace.”

Trump added: “Why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago.”

This sorry excuse for a human is y’all’s hero.

Democrats will sink so low to put down Trump. No praise for him at all for the wars he did stop. Will Americans and Greenland residents have to find out the hard way just how right Trump is about Greenland? Trump has already been given the Nobel Peace Prize by Maria Machado who thinks he is awesome. When all the Democrat media news sources, CNN, The New York Times, CBS, and Reuters get together and start repeating the same thing in lockstep, we should all be very suspicious.

The Danes won’t find much love amongst the indigenous people’s of Greenland, so they poll their own and bring in the Norwegians to make Greenland look like it’s a Scandinavian territory.

I keep hearing this garbage about him stopping wars but cannot find any evidence of him stopping any wars. Lots of data about him starting wars but nothing credible about ending any. If you have any AUTHENTIC sources I would love to see them. Please do not waste my time with far right nutso stuff cuz I won’t read it.

and wars between toy soldiers when he was a kid do not count either even if he was given Peace prizes for them

He never had any codes. Had pelosi hanging Amendment 25 over his head, and all his official duties were doled out.
