THE PLANET heard from one of our plants there that after the spade of shootings and other mayhem giving Bitchfield the jitters, several evacuees referenced the violence. NON can kiss those tourists goodbye, for good. And just around the corner, we hear from our spies at the Barrington Stage that despite the theater’s usual lineup of first-rate productions, business is off — not by a lot but by enough to be concerning to the board.

Then talk with the downtown businesses about how the city handles the crime and garbage, human and otherwise, and you’ll get an earful. Truly, when you venture there, you’re bordering the West Side, and you better go armed or wearing Kevlar.

As these investigations continue, the public should know that the DA’s Office and Pittsfield Police Department are using every available resource they have to bring the cases to a successful conclusion,” his ghost wrote.
Right.
Lumpy will provide updates “when appropriate.” And who decides that? Why, The Lump, of course.
Between “openly gay” six-packs and kegs.
He could have issued a gross, loud, long, juicy belch and it would have been more honest, more heartfelt. Lumpy took the mess he inherited and made it messier. His very presence is an insult to every honest, decent, taxpaying citizen.

Mayor Lumpy only issued a “statement” after the news media from Albany and Springfield, arrived in Bitchfield and began reporting the news and not burying it.
I believe the 4th shooting in two weeks made it onto Page 3 of the Eagle. The first two pages were dedicated to JM’s communist GF, Maura Healey, and her pandering for votes for her DSA manifesto.
Funny, when white male, Lonnie Durfee, lit haybales on fire supporting Autopen (Hussien’s 3rd term), in which nobody or no property were in jeopardy of being harmed, the Eagle ran that as a front-page story for a solid week.
When the gun-violence is being perpetrated by young POC’s, all of the sudden the cat has the local officials’ and media’s tongue.
Didn’t Autopen tell us that, “white supremacy is our nation’s greatest threat?”
Go ask those honest, hardworking, people, who live in the Westside and have the live in fear of catching a stray bullet, if they still feel that way or if they ever did?
A good follow-up story for the Eagle would be to offer Linda “Flat” Tyer-Clairmont and Tricia Farley-Country Buffet (d-illegal aliens), a few bucks to be “guest reporters for a day.” They could promote this “big story” for a week or two.
It’s not like those two ever met a grifted dollar placed into their pockets that they wouldn’t sell their newborns for. So, this isn’t a big stretch for asking those two to do this.
The Eagle would then send them out to Coltsville where Bitchfield shoppers are and they could ask the question, “how do you feel about the diversity we imported from the Boston area, in exchange for “grant money,” which brought Bitchfield, Ricky Rumpus roundabouts, NON bike-lanes, and bump outs”
I’d buy the unedited video version of that. I bet those two would get an earful, and then some.
They would both wear matching t-shirts that said, “I did this.”
Channel 13 news just reported today a shooting that occurred LAST Friday on West Street by Jason Street. A vehicle shooting at another. How come we first of all, don’t hear about it until a week later from Albany? How come once again no statement from the Mayor? Doesn’t Voltron White live on Jason Street, isn’t this near the Mayor and Lampiasi’s houses? Yet, Chief Marc said most of Pittsfield is safe. After he ran the traffic Bureau, you would think he would realize people in cars shoot guns, and cars do travel. Kind of a stupid comment on his part. When is this Administration going to realize you can no longer hide the truth due to social media?
I have mentioned this before, I go to the YMCA several times a week to exercise. As we all know this is right across from HON. Myself and many members of our exercise class are petrified parking in the lot behind the Senior Center and right across from the Boys Club. This is early morning, there is an encampment there, feces on the sidewalks, people clustered shooting up and high or drunk asking for money. This is less than one block from Lumpy”s glorious North Street. This is what young families and senior citizens are subjected to every day. Totally uncalled for. Never have even seen a police car travel down Melville Street. Do any of these elected officials even care? Nope, Egos are too big to care.

Hello Governor Maura Healey,
I am sorry that a poster on the blog named PlanetValenti.com keeps calling you my “communist GF”. The false statement is meant to disparage you and I for standing up to Trump’s policies that hurt Massachusetts (billions of dollars in cuts in federal funding to Massachusetts), immigrants (minorities – Trump’s “ICE Age” smacks of Hitler’s Holocaust), and women (it smacks of the 1950’s era, 1920’s era, and even 19th Century outdated views of women).
My native hometown of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is in a public safety crisis over the past couple of warm weather months 2026. There have been multiple gun shootings violent crimes there.
Blogger Dan Valenti and others used to blame the one-term Berkshire D.A. Andrea Harrington (2019 – 2022) for Pittsfield’s violent crime crises, but now they seemed to have shifted the blame to you. Of course, it defies evidence-based studies with statistics that state that since at least the year 1980, violent crime in Pittsfield has always more than doubled the statewide average.
The Berkshire Eagle is part of the clique of provincial political insiders in Pittsfield. They have blacklisted my letters and other opinion pieces for over the past 22 years now because I write about their “Golden Boy” millionaire who really lives in Boston but has a $1 million mansion in Pittsfield’s elitist Gated Community neighborhood named Andrea Francesco Nuciforo Junior (also called: LUCIFORO).
There are valid points made by blogger Dan Valenti and other posters about Pittsfield, its failed, Level 5 public schools, its guns and violent crime crises, its record-breaking city spending, its “Pay to Play” corruption, its political insiders’ power grabs, The Berkshire Eagle’s biased coverage of a distressed small city, and so on.
In Boston, the state lawmakers are always under-funding state aid to local government. Massachusetts ranks 39th out of 50 states in local aid funding. It would be nice if it ranked at least 25th, of course. The Berkshire state legislative delegation are all career politicians who are NOT delivering positive results for Western Massachusetts.
It caused political mixed emotions when you campaigned in the Berkshires and other areas of Western Massachusetts earlier this week. It is because we live in a divided country.
I do NOT believe that Andrea Harrington was to blame, nor you are to blame for Pittsfield’s downward spiral. When one looks at the long-term trends, Pittsfield has been going in the wrong direction for decades.
I do, indeed, believe that the state and local political establishment has made Pittsfield worse off. I believe that the career politicians and other government officials are only in it for themselves. I write this because when one stands up to them or gets in their way, then one may as well prepare themselves to live on “Jon Melle the have-NOT’s” pretend homeless sidewalk on the corner of First Street and Fenn Street in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
I am a prime example of what happens to a Pittsfield (persecuted) person when I stood up to LUCIFORO and his conspiratorial network of abusive bullies for the past over 30 years of my 51-year-old adult life. Over 22 years ago, I relocated to southern New Hampshire, The Berkshire Eagle blacklisted me, and I am being disparaged for supporting you, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey.

My reply to your disparaging post about me – Jon Melle – is that no matter how much the Devil’s own cult-town of Pittsfield (Massachusetts) hates me – Jon Melle – Luciforo does NOT walk on water.
Andrea Francesco Nuciforo Junior hated my dad, Bob, for many decades because he had a vendetta against my father over my dad’s difficult political relationship with his Aunt, Anne Everest Wojtkowski, who was the 1st woman Mayor of Pittsfield, along with her being a career professor at Berkshire Community College.
My dad ran for and won the elected position of Berkshire County Commissioner in 1996, along with Nuciforo following in his father of the same name’s footsteps as a Pittsfield State Senator in Boston in 1996.
My dad, Bob, defended county government, while Nuciforo made it his mission in Boston to abolish county government, which Nuciforo, along with then North Adams State Representative Dan Bosley did in Berkshire County effective July 01, 2000.
Please note that out of the 14 counties in Massachusetts, in 2026, there are still 6 county governments in the southeastern region of the Commonwealth.
So where do I – the disabled man and Veteran named Jon Melle – fit into this Pittsfield episode of The Twilight Zone?
Since I first met Nuciforo in the Spring 1996 when I was still only 20-years-old, Luciforo and his conspiratorial network of abusive bullies used me a bait to try to get to my dad to try to ruin my dad’s life in the mid-to-late-1990’s.
Nuciforo had people in his conspiratorial network bully me, and even threaten to physically assault me when I was a young man back then. Then, from the Fall of 1997 – Spring 1998, Nuciforo filed multiple Massachusetts state “Ethics” complaints against my dad, Bob, who worked in the Probation Office in the Pittsfield District Courthouse and served as a Berkshire County Commissioner, to multiple Massachusetts state agencies.
Nuciforo tried to force my dad to resign as a Berkshire County Commissioner, and also, Nuciforo tried to get my dad fired from his Probation Office state government position. But, Nuciforo’s vindictive actions failed on both counts.
Luciforo is a BIG HYPOCRITE
During the Summer 1997, my dad and I attended a judicial promotion event at the Pittsfield Courthouse for Judge Francis Spina. At the outside gathering afterwards, Nuciforo gave me a long, cold and threatening stare.
During the North Adams Fall Foliage Parade 1997, with his state legislative aid Sara Hathaway at Nuciforo’s side, Nuciforo broke his parade route and threatened me by getting into my face. I looked down, but then my Uncle who lives in Saratoga Springs, NY, and my cousin, who lived in North Adams back then, stood in front of me and confronted Nuciforo, who then became fearful, and Nuciforo and Hathaway resumed their parade route.
After all of the bullying and threats from Nuciforo and his conspiratorial network back then, and after Nuciforo filed state “Ethics” complaints against my dad, Nuciforo reported me to the Pittsfield Police Department for making “veiled” threats against him, and he instructed his Pittsfield state legislative district staff to immediately call the police if I entered his state office.
But Luciforo’s BIG HYPOCRISIES know no bounds because in mid-January 2007, The Boston Globe newspaper published a news article that stated that from 1999 – 2006, Nuciforo was a double-dipper, and it led to the end of his once promising political career in Boston that ended in disgrace.
Nuciforo chaired the Massachusetts State Senate Finance Committee, while at the same time, Nuciforo worked for a Boston Law Firm named Berman and Do well whereby Nuciforo served as legal counsel for Boston’s BIG banks and INSURANCE companies.
I thought to myself, Nuciforo must be the BIGGEST HYPOCRITE of all time. Not only did Nuciforo and his conspiratorial network of bullies threaten me over and over again when I was a young man, but now, Nuciforo, NOT my dad, Bob, was the one who allegedly violated the Massachusetts state “Ethics” laws with is allegedly illegal double-dipping that ended his once promising political career in Boston in disgrace.
But Nuciforo’s antics did NOT end there 20 years ago in 2006. In the 2006 state government so-called “election” for Pittsfield-based Registrar of Deeds, there were two women candidates who were running for the elected position. They were Registry of Deeds Staff Member Sharon Henault and the former one-term Pittsfield Mayor Sara Hathaway.
Nuciforo proceeded to strong-arm the 2 women candidates out of the so-called election to anoint himself as Register of Deeds. But Nuciforo’s antics did NOT end there.
In early-January 2007, after Nuciforo took the oath of office as the new Register of Deeds, The Boston Globe reported that Nuciforo lobbied the new Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick to appoint him as the state Commissioner of Insurance, but Nuciforo was passed over, and he served his one-term, 6-year sinecure in Pittsfield, which was really a no-show political plum position.
After a few years a Register of Deeds in Pittsfield, Nuciforo announced that he was going to run for U.S. Congress to oust the long-sitting Congressman John W. Olver. But in 2012, Olver was redistricted out of his elected position, which led to Olver’s retirement in the U.S. House of Representatives.
During his final year as Register of Deeds in 2012, Nuciforo ended up running against Springfield (Massachusetts) Congressman Richie Neal. But Nuciforo ended up tanking after Nuciforo plagiarized his campaign policy platforms, and the Springfield Republican called Nuciforo “mean-spirited”. Nuciforo was also called by the news media “a fringe politician” and a “Fiscal Conservative”. Nuciforo lost to “PAC Man” Richie Neal by 40 percentage points in the 2012 primary election.
Despite him being a disgraced politician in Boston, Nuciforo still has a financially-based law office in Boston’s Financial District whereby he serves as legal counsel to Boston’s BIG banks and INSURANCE companies.
In 2017, Nuciforo co-founded what is now called “Berkshire Roots”, which is his marijuana business on Dalton Avenue in Pittsfield (Massachusetts) and a dispensary in East Boston. Nuciforo used his political connections in Pittsfield and Boston to be one of the first holders of pot permits. Nuciforo also had deep pockets of investment capital from unknown investors, as well as Nuciforo putting hundreds of thousands of dollars of his own money into his marijuana business.
In mid-2023, Nuciforo filed a lawsuit in Berkshire Superior Court against the City of Pittsfield for hundreds of thousands of dollars, which was similar to the amount of money he put in himself to his marijuana business, to recoup Berkshire Roots pot permits payments from years earlier. In 2023, Nuciforo donated $1,000 to Peter Marchetti’s campaign for Mayor of Pittsfield. In 2024, along with several other marijuana businesses in Pittsfield, Nuciforo received a settlement check from the City of Pittsfield in the amount of $341,000.
In mid-2023, Nuciforo purchased a mansion in Pittsfield’s elitist Gated Community neighborhood close to the Hancock border for $950,000. Nuciforo lives full-time in his upscale residence in Boston. Nuciforo also owns several properties in Boston and Pittsfield alike where Nuciforo is a landlord who collects many thousands of dollars per month in rental payments.
Obviously, Luciforo is a millionaire who is all about BIG MONEY and power. To illustrate, in the 2004 presidential campaign, Nuciforo wore a matching tuxedo with billionaire candidate for U.S. President John Forbes Kerry when the two of them co-hosted a fancy fundraiser full of BIG banks and INSURANCE company executives, among other millionaires and up.
So where does all of this leave me – the now middle-aged 51-year-old have-NOT named Jon Melle?
Nuciforo has persecuted me – Jon Melle – for over 30 years of my 51-year-old adult life. I have received many opinions and other feedback from many people about Luciforo and his EVIL network’s years of traumatizing me. I also know that I am disparaged in my native hometown of Pittsfield (Massachusetts), and that I am hated there by the cult-town clique of insiders.
My dad is 82-year-old now in 2026. Bob still likes politics. I have an aversion to career politicians. But I still have political ideals. I am fortunate to receive my VA benefits, but people tell me I earned them with my service and Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army. I even received the regards of the U.S. President (GWB), who ordered my a VA hearing very close to The White House over 22 years ago. I still receive warm letters from the U.S. President (DJT) in 2026.
I like to read Dan Valenti’s awesome blog named PlanetValenti.com. Despite all of the Hell-like events in my life, I still love Pittsfield, and Massachusetts, along with New Hampshire, and the U.S.A.

Then, Trump wrote to me that he knows that lobbyist Dan Bosley is a BIG ball of greed who lives in North Adams with a 2nd home in Boston whereby he lobbies for BIG businesses at the corrupt and secretive Boston Statehouse. Trump told me that similar to LUCIFORO, Dan Bosley is in the pocket of BIG business.
Moreover, similar to Dan Bosley who lives in North Adams and Boston, millionaire LUCIFORO lives the life of luxury in Pittsfield in his $1 million mansion in Pittsfield’s elitist Gated Community neighborhood close to the Hancock border, along with LUCIFORO’s full-time upscale residence in Boston. Both Bosley and LUCIFORO are former state lawmakers in Boston who share a public record of supporting BIG business.

Since we’re talking about John Krol, let’s talk about something Pittsfield apparently decided to forget.
John Krol’s reputation took one hell of a hit during the 2023 mayoral race.
Why?
Cats.
Or, more accurately, money belonging to a cat rescue that ended up being used from the wrong bank account.
Krol’s explanation was that it was a banking/account error. He acknowledged the mistake, and when it was discovered, the money was repaid within six weeks.
No criminal charges.
No lawsuit over the money.
And the matter had been resolved years before Krol ran for mayor.
But suddenly — the day after he made it through the preliminary election — Pittsfield was practically introduced to John Krol, International Cat Burglar.
You would have thought the man walked into Animal Dreams wearing a ski mask and ran out carrying kittens and sacks of cash.
His reputation got absolutely hammered.
Meanwhile, let’s remember who was standing on the other side of that mayoral race.
Peter Marchetti wasn’t dealing with somebody whispering an accusation into a reporter’s ear.
He was a named defendant in an actual federal lawsuit.
A former female colleague alleged sex discrimination, retaliation, a hostile work environment and a pattern of demeaning and abusive behavior. The complaint included specific allegations involving Marchetti’s treatment of her.
Those allegations were disputed.
But the lawsuit existed.
It was filed.
There was a plaintiff.
There were court documents.
And yet somehow, during that election, Pittsfield’s morality meter decided that the greater character question was:
WHAT ABOUT THE CAT MONEY, JOHN?!
That’s the part that has never sat right with Val.
You didn’t have to support John Krol.
You didn’t have to believe every word of his explanation.
You could absolutely question how the mistake happened and whether someone seeking to run a city should have caught it.
Fair game.
But where was that same level of outrage, scrutiny and character examination when the other candidate was defending himself against allegations contained in an actual federal civil complaint?
That’s the interesting part of Pittsfield politics.
Sometimes it’s not what happened.
It’s who gets defined by what happened.
One man’s mistake becomes his identity.
Another man’s allegations become an unfortunate subject we’re apparently too polite to discuss.
Funny how that works.
Maybe the Good Ol’ Boys Club doesn’t need membership cards after all.
Maybe you can tell who’s in it simply by watching whose reputation gets protected…
and whose gets fed to the cats.

Marchetti on the other hand is too much of a tool, special interest puppet. Would not ever vote for either of them as they both come from what I look upon to be the parasitic class.

I almost pulled over to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating.
Friday, I drove from Guido’s to GourMay Cafe and saw THREE cruisers along the way.
Three!
Saturday? They were everywhere. I saw several downtown throughout the day, and later that evening I spotted more along East Street and around Allendale.
Sunday, there were cruisers around Burbank Park during the day, and by evening I was still seeing them scattered throughout the city.
And I have to tell you something:
I WAS THRILLED.
Seriously.
This is what people have been asking for.
An entire weekend where it actually LOOKED like Pittsfield had a police department patrolling Pittsfield.
And wouldn’t you know it?
It was a pretty damn good weekend in the city.
No shooting headlines. No waking up wondering which neighborhood had gunfire overnight. Just a beautiful summer weekend where I repeatedly saw police officers visibly present in the community.
Imagine that.
Now, I’m not going to commit the great internet sin of confusing correlation with causation and announce that cruisers magically prevent every crime.
But visibility matters.
Presence matters.
And after all the conversations we’ve been having about where the hell everybody is, suddenly seeing cruisers throughout downtown, East Street, Allendale and around Burbank Park was impossible not to notice.
So credit where credit is due:
MORE OF THIS, PLEASE.
Chief, did you finally realize the kids were spending a little too much time playing on the playground and not enough time doing their schoolwork?
Because if this weekend represents a change in direction, Val is perfectly happy to give you a gold star.

Went to dinner the other night At District it was delicious, server was great and the entire experience was amazing. What came next however was disgusting. We made the mistake of parking on North near the theatre. Took a casual still before dinner just looking around which was fine, on the way back we walked down McKay st and then up the ally to get to the car. First a group of wanna be thugs on bikes were arguing and bordering a small brawl tossing the mother effing N word around like it was just a regular part of their vocabulary, walking by them felt eerie to say the least as we considered for a second it was a distraction and then my wife and I may have been their target next, that didn’t happen but then after dodging trash these two young boys, maybe 13 and 9 approached us and were “flexin” and harassing us for

They were so close my wife clutched her purse in fear as I held her arm and told the boys to get the fuck away from us, they could have cared less that a full grown adult told them to leave and instead got closer. Shoulder to shoulder dating me to do something more, I wasn’t sure of the intention probably Just practicing for their first robbery but non the less we will not be going back downtown next time we are in town. We circled the block to see if any officers weee anywhere near the area, none to be found at dusk in an area with frequent issues as I have learned and the “thug wanna bees” were still at as we noticed they were doing the exact same thing to another couple.
