ELECTION FOLLOW: KRONICK TAKES WARD 2; NONE OF THE ABOVE THE BIG WINNER as 80% CHOOSE NOT TO VOTE … PLANET’s PREDICTIONS EERILY ACCURATE

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY NOV. 3, 2021) — The big news from yesterday’s
election came in Ward 2, where independent challenger Charles Kronick, championed by THE PLANET, shocked the Machine-backed candidate by 60-40, in short, a landslide.

This results can be read as a mini-referendum on the Tyer Administration. Their in-the-pocket stooge, Matt Kudlate, couldn’t overcome the tidal pull of Kronick, who wore out the shoe-leather and out-campaigned his opponent, and THE PLANET, who educated enough voters to pull off the upset.

Here is a link to the unofficial results as provided by city clerk Michelle Benjamin:

SKM_458e21110220500

THE PLANET also takes credit for incumbent Yuki Cohen being ousted from the city council. We alone exposed the story of her questionable dealings from Meth on North, including the infamous bar-top, after-hours twerking. Yuki and Craig Benoit were out after polling, with Karen Kalinowsky joining incumbents Marchetti, White, and Persip.

The other significant development was the low turnout. THE PLANET didn’t have the official numbers as of press time, but initial results from the city clerk indicate a turnout of 20.67%.  In other words, almost 80% of the electors chose not to vote, another huge win for the most popular candidate of all time, None of the Above.

This, too, is another reflection of the Administration’s failure to involve its citizenry, the result of bad policy, a rubber-stamp council that won’t challenge the executive branch, and too much secrecy. As a result, all “winners” fell abysmally short of a mandate, splitting about 1/4 of the eligible electorate.

In the ward races, Ken Warren (Ward 1), Jim Conant (4), and Dina Lampiasi triumphed. For school committee, voters re-elected incumbents Bill Cameron, Mark Brazeau, Dan Elias, and Alison McGee. Challengers Sarah Hathaway and Vicky Smith took the other two seats.

All went pretty much as we called it. In fact, THE PLANET had the most accurate pre-election preview and predictions.

———- ooo ———-

We can also characterize this election thusly: The more things stay the same, the more they stay the same.

That tautological saying by the great Donald Turpentine, Knight of the Bath, perfectly encapsulates Tyertown’s Day of the Dead, what elsewhere is known as Election Day.

THE PLANET will keep our review of yesterday’s follies on the brief side. We are much more interested in what you have to say about the Hanging of Chad experienced in the town’s 14 precincts and seven wards. Give us your take. What do the results mean, if anything, to the lives of Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski? What does this say about the Tyer Administration? Did anything surprise or did things go the way you expected?

As Fizzlehead memorably put it, Pee Pee Marchetti had the nameplates made up in advance, for, you see, not much is unknown in Pittsfield elections prior to the vote — or after. As the great Pat Cooper said, “Born a dog you can’t die a cat.” The tentacled Machine sees to that. It goes by different names — the GOBSIGs, Special Interests, The Suits (THE PLANET‘s preferred designation) — but year after year, cycle after cycle, we witness the same dismal results:

  • A further stifling of “representative government”
  • Greater repression of the Kapanskis and the vanishing middle class through out-of-control spending and excessive taxation
  • Protection, inducements, and freebies for the drug dealers, gangs, and other riff-raff
  • Deeper sinecures for the inner circle.

———- 000 ———-

So what happened yesterday? Let’s look at the winners and losers:

WINNERS

  • We The People, even before the first ballot was counted, after the council’s “Handgun” Moon, “Quick” Caccamo, plus the school committee’s “Lady Boots” Yon and “Color Me Clueless” Slaughter decided not to run as incumbents. Addition by subtraction.
  • Ward 2 and the city for putting Kronick on the dais. Let’s see if he can come close to a fair impression of “Fighting Bob” LaFollette, something he promised during the campaign.
  • No more Yuki. She played the victim card once too often.

LOSERS

  • The Kapanskis, who once again get stuck with “lame duck” officials, none of whom can claim a mandate plus two more years of the Tyer Administration and it lapdog council. Also, don’t expect your new school committee to actually start to do its job.
  • Everyone in the at-large race, where the the blanks received the most tallies. This tell us that voters followed our suggestion of bullet balloting. As we predicted, it ousted one incumbent (Cohen) and got a fresh face on the dais (Kalinowsky).

We turn it now to you for your election analyses, the one that counts the most.

and what that suggests is that many many people have no faith in the local election process. While the city cries out loud for political change it never seems to come. The forces of the cabal are wide and deep and have dictated that special interest will rule the roost (possibly forever). And with all that Covid money lying on the table just waiting for the grabby hands crowd there was no way they were giving up control.

They should have a box next to every name that says “ABSOLUTELY NOT” for really bad public servants like Marchetti who seems totally clueless as to what they were elected to do. And it should be made public with all the other results.
It honestly scares me thinking what Tire and Pete may have lined up for us. I cannot afford Tires Gucci spending habits. And Pete might as well be the wooden Indian outside a cigar store for all the good he does.

I agree with blogger Dan Valenti’s analysis of Pittsfield politics. I am happy that Pittsfield voters didn’t listen to the Dirty Bird (Berkshire Eagle) Editors and they voted in a few new faces on the City Council and School Committee. It is sad that Pittsfield’s voter turnout was predictably around 20%. What is the point of voting in a city that is so corrupt and led by state and local politicians who are totally DISCONNECTED from the people and taxpayers who live in Pittsfield? Mayor Linda Tyer should promise to work with the new elected officials and listen to their opposing viewpoints without using retribution. I wish to thank Yuki Cohen for representing the people of Pittsfield, and let us remember that we are all human and we all have made mistakes in our lives. I am rooting for Mayor Linda Tyer, the new/old City Councilors, and the new/old School Committee members in the 2022/2023 term. I love to follow Pittsfield politics and I hope they will be able to work together for an agenda that will best serve the people and taxpayers of my native hometown of Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

I think another winner from last night was apathy. The voters of this city have been run over time and time again that they feel like they do not have a voice. If Pittsfield is to change it has to start there. Get people involved and make them feel heard. This election just kept things the same so I don’t expect anything other than what has been going on for years. In other words the Kapanski’s are screwed again

So glad Kalinowsky won, I have high hopes for her, and also on the school committee, at least Elias had a win. Both of these people can make a difference if the far left activists don’t try to flip them. Such low voter turn out means the Pittsfield far left activists didn’t put much worry into losing this election. They have all of their mindless followers in place like Marchetti and White. Thank God Yuki is gone.

Great news from Virginia. A Republican has won over a Democrat in that blue state and this is just the beginning. The mama bears and papa bears across the country are fighting for the minds and souls of their children from Critical Race Theory. A woman who has always been a very liberal mom said that going after her children with this theory has crossed the line and she voted Republican for the first time in a long time. She showed actual material of what they were teaching in Virginia schools and it was chilling. She said she and other moms were treated horribly by the all Democrat school committees in their state.

Sometimes people get what they deserve. People can’t be bothered to vote and let the city unions call the shots electing crappy self serving politicians over and over. Pittsfield has a pitiful school system that only those that have no other choice attend but let’s reelect the same school committee that is currently doing a bad job. There really is no hope for the once great city.
As far as the city council is concerned I can’t help but wonder why anyone would vote for an incumbent. Is it even possible to get a worse council than currently exists? This council doesn’t have the best interests of the taxpayers whatsoever and won’t it the future. What could the taxpayers possibly have to loose by trying new people? Could new people shove in up your ass any further?

On the local front, I too am glad Yuki is gone. I agree with Dan. The “single mom, immigrant, almost houseless,” routine wore thin. Especially when she used it to try and defend her flaunting of the COVID rules.

I do wish Craig Benoit had been the person to unseat her though. If what I read on these posts in weeks prior to the election about Kalinowski supplementing her pension with foster kids, she will soon be spoken to by Tricia Farley-Country-Buffet (D), and made to “see the way.” If not, that supplemental income will disappear. Remember, TFCB wants to unionize foster parents for higher pay. She wields power in that industry. Kalinowski will be a rubber stamp in no time. Mark my words.

On the national front, this is great. Glenn Youngkin crushing Xiden, Barry, and Garland’s, dreams of destroying America. We don’t want Critical Race Theory, Build Back Better, soft on crime, or any other government handout, these progressive elites want.

Let’s go Brandon!!

Dan, you wrote “This results can be read as a mini-referendum on the Tyer Administration.” I agree to an extent. I think it is more of a referendum on Melissa Mazzeo. She was Benoit’s campaign manager. She wrote a letter to the editor endorsing him. I think that lost him votes, not helped him. How many Tyer supporters read the letter and decided not to vote for Benoit because he was tied to Mazzeo’s hip? I bet it was more than the 91 votes by which he lost. Mazzeo is proving herself not to be a king maker, but to tank campaigns.

Yup, a picture says a thousand words Dan. She has sent a message to the other two that they are not now, or ever will be, part of her regime. Marchetti is pissed he has to make up two new name tags and toss out the ones he had made up.

SAME SHIT, DIFFERENT DAY!

FLT!

But as to kop kalinowski’s where-a-bouts, perhaps she had something more important to do, like a date with the postman who was delivering her foster cash cow supplements to her pig pension. Also on the issue of the record number of houseless kids/school students, certainly dumb as a box of rocks skool kop/foster mom kalinowski, who is always gushing about her great rapport with the kids when she was getting paid to be their best friend, would welcome them, as if they were her own, to pig-out, bed down and shower with her and her family at 63 Shaker Lane. Just one big happy family!

On the issues of all the violence and other disturbing behavior in the public schools, months ago it was alleged that there was an incident involving beastiality, IF YOU CAN BELIEVE IT.

They don’t really care about masks. Lacey needs a good barber. Warren needs a comb. Others need a treadmill. Tyer needs to lose the scarf thing – looks like wojkowski did but not quite as plump, yet. They don’t care about Kalinowski or Kronick either but just as with masks they will pretend otherwise in public.

Tyer is probably wearing scarfs to cover all the hickies she receives from Barry and all her puppets. There are just so many people that can kiss ass at one time.

A new mask directive requiring masking in public indoor spaces across the city will go into effect next Monday, Nov. 8 following an unanimous vote by the Board of Health to intensify the city’s masking policy.

I believe Dan might require all posters to wear masks when posting.

Unless there is a State wide mandate, they are only hurting local businesses. A lot of people don’t like to wear face diapers. They will go elsewhere. There still is no proof that they work There is proof that they are bad for you.

Dina’s heart was obviously not into the job the first time so why would it be the second time? She likes the perks though. Nice perks for a Pittsfield council person.

Does the health dept. have the authority to impose a mask mandate on city businesses?
There is no emergency.
I hope some of the local businesses SUE the city over this directive!

“ The city’s Homelessness Advisory Committee says that a severe deficit of affordable housing, shortage of support services and lack of understanding within the community have exacerbated the number of people who are experiencing homelessness in Pittsfield. That picture of the city came as school officials delivered a report saying this could be a high year for homeless students in the district.”

Well of course there is going to be a houselessness problem. When fat Tyer keeps importing the houselessness addicts and “refugees” from Mexico and elsewhere, what do you expect?!?!?

I bet they are going to follow up with a need for more ESL teachers in the schools.

Tyer brought in 60 unvetted, unvaccinated Afghans. Homeless are coming from other communities. Why is Pittsfield expected to build “public bathrooms & lockers” along with “affordable housing?” Is St. Joe’s being used as a shelter? If not, why not? Are the homeless school kids being checked for birth certificates, mandated vaccines (polio etc) and other communicable diseases in order to protect kids who are U.S. citizens?

It would seem that Tyer is taking the Biden approach – by announcing plans for a new stand alone homeless facility, of course the homeless will flock to Pittsfield! Just as the Biden admin announced a $450,000 payout to those separated at the border – which FJB now claims will not happen – as caravans of migrants head to the U.S.!

Oh yeah. And if you have friends that like to build and make mega bucks from apartment buildings it all just falls into your lap.
But I would not want my kid sitting next to the homeless kid who might have any number of health issues, not to mention a foul body odor, crabs, lice or heroin tracks. But I bet the homeless kid really wants to pay attention and learn sumptin. Also, these kids would probably not try to influence other kids about how great it is to be out on your own.
They just can’t come up with enough reasons to drive local kids to out of town schools. And for the life of them they cannot figure out why the parents want to school elsewhere. They have no idea why.

There’s way too much government subsidized housing in city. Le, over 5000 subsidized units. We need less not more. Less taxes, less government giveaways, less bums on the corner.

I wanna know if Cop Kalinowski or Sir Charles are going to address the bums on the corner, or just pretend there is nothing they can do like everybody else.

A Pittsfield politics funny Joke: What do you call a man at the top of a hill in Pittsfield Massachusetts? Cliff Nilan.

I received an email today introducing Pittsfield’s newest website:

Best things to do in Pittsfield, the Berkshires, MA. (lovepittsfield.com)

Pittsfield issues an indoor mask directive starting on Monday, November 8th, 2021:

Pittsfield Board of Health issues indoor mask directive effective Monday | WAMC

Fact: State Government spends over 50 percent of their fiscal year budget on public health; (also a fact: the Federal Government spends of one-third of their fiscal year budget on public health). The fiscal year 2022 state budget in Massachusetts is near $50 billion. That means that well over $20 billion state government dollars per this current fiscal year in Massachusetts is being spent on public health. Why then are Pittsfield’s Covid-19 caseloads doubling in number from this past Summer? Taxpayers biggest contribution to their corrupt career politicians in Beacon Hill’s Statehouse is so that the people will have public health, yet the results are dismal. Where does the money really go for public health?

John Kerry getting Biden to do a deal with the World Economic Forum to avoid having to worry about passing Biden’s giant deals here. John Kerry said yesterday that he doesn’t need the giant economic deals that Pelosi is trying to push for him. He will do this world fascism plan another way. Its unbelievable this Ponzi scheme that Kerry, Obama, Biden, Pelosi and other are trying to pull off. More to come on this unfortunately, but this explains the urgency to get these trillion dollar deals passed. It’s not for the American people. It’s for these power mad maniacs in Washington and across the world who are all now gathered in Scotland.

People are going to get Covid, the more the better. 45 million so far have superior immunity to the Chinese virus. That’s a good start, but we need more. Pittsfield health board was jealous of the Tri-town health board getting all the publicity. Mask mandates are all about power. I will spend my money where I don’t have to wear a face diaper.
