PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, MONDAY DEC. 13, 2021) — Now for something completely different.

UFOs.

Unidentified flying objects.

THE PLANET has no jokes to make here in this field so ripe for ridicule. We invite you to seriousness as well. You know it’s time to stop the laughing when  uptight government bureaucrats bring out the slivers of evidence that are the fragments of a full forest.

We have never personally seen what we would deem a UFO if we’re talking about alien technology and presence. THE PLANET, however, has known and talked to folks who have shared stories of sightings. These are credible, sober folks, by the way, not your North Street Sec. 8 snowman cookoo bunny.

In the interests of the stars, ad astra, to share the latest on an aspect of a mystery that has been with our species since its beginning, we present this article from a few days ago. For those wanting more details and backup info, we have kept the hot links in the article.

If you have stories about UFOs, THE PLANET invites you to share them.

Enjoy.

By Mark von Rannenkampff

Congress is days away from enacting historic legislation on UFOs. As first detailed by researcher Douglas Dean Johnson, a must-pass defense bill will force the U.S. government to mount a sweeping effort to investigate unidentified aerial phenomena.

Among a litany of groundbreaking requirements, Congress is set to mandate the establishment of rapid UFO response teams, initiate a scientific study of objects that “exceed the known state of the art in science or technology” and require investigations of health-related effects associated with UFO encounters. Perhaps most importantly, following seven decades of Cold War-induced secrecy, denial and obfuscation, the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act will mandate unprecedented government transparency on UFOs.

Robust bipartisan support for the bill’s expansive provisions amounts to a stark rebuke of years of official ineptitude and inaction on UFOs. Moreover, congressional assertiveness is reviving the “one percent” doctrine, which holds that if there is even a slight chance that a particular threat is real, the government must act as if it is a certainty.

Formulated by the George W. Bush administration after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, the “one percent” doctrine initially resulted in catastrophe. The 2003 Iraq War, premised upon the disingenuous notion that Iraq’s secular dictator might collaborate with jihadists to attack the United States, led to hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths, cost trillions in taxpayer dollars and sparked the rise  of the Islamic State.

But now that former presidents, high-level government officials, intelligence analysts and fighter pilots have stated that unknown objects are demonstrating seemingly extraordinary capabilities while flying in sensitive airspace, Congress is right to adopt a nuanced version of the “one percent” doctrine. Former director of national intelligence John Ratcliffe’s recent statement that some UFOs exhibit “technologies that we don’t have and, frankly, that we are not capable of defending against” underscores congressional alarm.

But the legislative crusade to force the government to take the UFO phenomenon seriously is destined to clash with deeply ingrained bureaucratic and ideological resistance. Luis Elizondo, the former head of an informal Pentagon-led effort to investigate U.S. military encounters with UFOs, highlighted this dynamic by pointing me to recent comments from a top national security official.

Despite acknowledging the UFO phenomenon, the civilian head of the Air Force is resisting involvement because, in his telling, UFOs do not present an overt threat.

Elizondo likened this approach to sitting idly by while an unknown “submarine pops out of the Potomac [River], right in front Washington, D.C. [But] because you don’t know who it belongs to, it’s not a threat?” Expressing exasperation, Elizondo continued, “You’re acknowledging the reality of these things, but you’re saying it’s not a priority? That is absurd.”

Beyond national security concerns, the physics-defying capabilities reported by military personnel and recorded by multiple sensor platforms demand urgent scientific attention. As renowned astronomer J. Allen Hynek stated in congressional testimony over a half-century ago, even “if the sole purpose of such a study [of UFOs] is to satisfy human curiosity, to probe the unknown and to provide intellectual adventure, then it is in line with what science has always stood for.”

To that end, a 2004 UFO encounter makes the case for exactly the robust investigations Congress is set to mandate.

Over the course of several days that November, radar operators aboard a U.S. Navy guided missile cruiser sailing southwest of California observed unidentified objects descending instantaneously from above 80,000 feet – twice as high as conventional aircraft fly – to a hover around 20,000 feet. The objects then ascended rapidly again to extreme altitudes.

After radar operators on the ship confirmed one such contact with an airborne command and control aircraft, two F/A-18 fighter jets were sent to investigate. As the jets approached the designated coordinates, all four aviators aboard the fighters observed an object that appeared to demonstrate extraordinary capabilities.

The unknown craft – which had no discernible engines, rotors, wings or other control surfaces – mirrored the maneuvers of the lead fighter jet before accelerating instantaneously out of sight. Seconds later, the UFO reappeared on radar scopes 60 miles away, implying unimaginably fast velocities. Most perplexingly, the object appeared at a pre-determined rendezvous point known only to the pilots and radar operators.

Intelligence analyses of the encounter ruled out highly advanced Chinese or Russian aircraft as plausible explanations. For their part, the aviators who observed the object believe that it was “not from this world.”

Nearly two decades later, the extreme capabilities exhibited by the mysterious object remain well out of the realm of the most advanced technologies.

The incident undoubtedly influenced the sweeping UFO-related legislation that will soon be signed into law. And why shouldn’t it? If there is even a slight chance that the extraordinary technology observed by four naval aviators (and corroborated by two independent radar systems) is a real phenomenon, then future UFO encounters demand exactly the type of in-depth investigations that the government will soon be required to conduct.

But the 2004 encounter is not an isolated incident. In recent years, military personnel briefed members of Congress and spoke publicly of unidentified objects operating with apparent impunity in sensitive airspace. And in June, a landmark government report stated that some UFOs appear to “remain stationary in winds aloft, move against the wind, maneuver abruptly, or move at considerable speed, [all] without discernible means of propulsion.”

Moreover, reports from multiple highly credible observers of mysterious, “intelligently controlled” craft exhibiting highly advanced technologies date back to the 1940s. With noteworthy parallels to recent intelligence assessments, declassified government analyses from 1947 to 1952 suggested extraordinary explanations for the most compelling UFO encounters.

But in early 1953, Cold War national security fears spurred a semi-official government policy of denying, belittling and “debunking” UFO reports, no matter how credible. In short, the UFO phenomenon never received a fair shake from the government or the scientific community – until now.

Unlike the catastrophic consequences of the Bush administration’s “one percent” doctrine, Congress’s bold approach to UFOs amounts to a comparatively minuscule, low-risk investment that may finally unravel an enduring mystery.

It’s been a cover up from:the get go. Roswell happened and the Air Force acknowledged that, then walked it back. There were alien bodies recovered and taken to Wright Patterson. Smart phones are the result of alien tech – read The Day After Rosewell. Kennedy was assassinated over UFOs and his wanting to talk about it, Truman’s Secretary of Defense, James Forestall, was thrown out a window to his death over it. That was the beginning of The Deep Stae. They have been here since biblical times and may have had a hand in Christianity and they fly into and out of the oceans. There is no way the government.is coming clean. It would cause mass hysteria Dan if people found out we intelligent Earthlings descended from Aliens, which is exactly what happened, and it is written about in scripture. There are a gazillion planets. Anybody who e believes there is only intelligent life on Earth is an idiot, plain and simple.

When so-called old-time religious Prophets were mentally ill, on drugs and/or delusional, people believed that they talked to God (or the gods) a long, long time ago. If I, Jon Melle, said that I was a religious Prophet in 2021/2022, no one would believe me, and I would be sent for a psychiatric evaluation and be told I was mentally ill, on drugs and/or delusional. There may or may not be a God (or gods), and Planet Earth may or may not be a freak accident where there is life here and possibly nowhere else. Mythology and Religion have very similar stories, and the story of Jesus Christ has been told thousands of years before the alleged historic Jesus Christ walked the Earth. People who aspire to attain power have used religion for power, to wage wars, and to make a lot of money. If religion is a lie, then all of the millions upon millions of people and Peoples who have been killed in God’s name is a travesty either way. If there is a God and/or if there are UFOs with advanced Alien life and technology, I wish the human race would be saved from ourselves. The best illustration of human behavior and human nature is how Christmas has become a materialistic holiday instead of a day of Peace on Earth with Love for all of humankind. The truth is that no one knows the truth about it all.

No mass hysteria. People pretty much expect that to be revealed and have accepted it. Besides, many of us are hoping aliens will visit earth and fix the huge mess we have made of the planet. Obviously we cannot do it ourselves as we keep making things worse.

If you knew what the government knew, you would understand that not only would it cause mass hysteria, it would rattle the foundation of Christianity, and all recorded history. It’s so Earthshattering it is beyond human comprehension, and includes alien abductions, and much much more, to include astronauts that have seen spacecraft and aliens.

Children are playing video games on their computers where they send their guy around chopping heads off of innocent people just for fun. Blood and gore everywhere. And some parents will be buying these same games for their kids for Christmas. I really do not know what an alien could do that would shock anybody that reads the news everyday.
Besides, as I recall, Alf was quite friendly so I am not sure we should be painting all aliens as bad guys. To do so is actually quite racist.

I believe that humanity is an experiment of a higher life form. Or perhaps we are a toy or game of a higher life form. We may or may not have evolved from apes but if we did it is part of the experiment or game. Sad to say but I have a lot of difficulty tying religion into human existence.
I recall learning in school how the human was so much smarter than all the other animals. Well, given the current state of world affairs, how is that working out for us? Humans have been killing and maiming each other since the beginning of recorded history. I don’t see how that makes us the most intelligent. Of course there is a higher life form. The human eye just cannot see it but it may be all around us every day.

Obviously they have no clue on how to run a human city. Just look at the recent “traffic upgrades “ if you think I am lying. How do these same people get re-elected? For a more current national look just look at illegitimate, he looks like death run over, pasty white stumbling and bumbling. His nomination looked like it was out of the Hunger Games. Very appropriate for for today’s problems!!!
“The universe grows smaller every day and the threat of aggression by any group anywhere can no longer be tolerated. There must be security for all or no one is secure. Now this does not mean giving up any freedom, except the freedom to act irresponsibly. Your ancestors knew this when they made laws to govern themselves and hired policemen to enforce them. We, of the other planets, have long accepted this principle. We have an organization for the mutual protection of all planets and for the complete elimination of aggression. The test of any such higher authority is, of course, the police force that supports it. For our policemen we created a race of robots. Their function is to patrol the planets in spaceships like this one and preserve the peace. In matters of aggression we have given them absolute power over us. This power cannot be revoked. A t the first signs of violence they act automatically against the aggressor. The penalty for provoking their action is too terrible to risk. The result is we live in peace without arms or armies, secure in the knowledge that we are free from aggression and war, free to pursue more profitable enterprises. Now, we do not pretend to have achieved perfection, but we do have a system, and it works. I came here to give you these facts. It is no concern of ours how you run your own planet, but if you threaten to extend your violence, this Earth of yours will be reduced to a burned-out cinder. Your choice is simple: join us and live in peace, or pursue your present course and face obliteration. We shall be waiting for your answer. The decision rests with you.”Day the Earth Stood Still” 1951

And back to the nominations for Orbit. My choice is basically a No Brainer. U F O White actually won the Orbit. I think the Planet has painstakingly scratched his head for quite awhile, over this, maybe he felt sorry for the guy.

There is one way to restore the ‘The Orbit’ to its great luster. Chris Connell has endured the last five years of this nonsense as City Councilor mostly on his own. Another two reasons. 1….He has actually contributed and always got back to the Planet. But here is my other reason 2….U F O White was a city councilor who received the Orbit. So, wouldn’t that be a grave insult to Chris being a city councilor also? if he weren’t chosen? Chris does deserve it Dan.He was a good one.

My vote from my vacation home on the Saturn Moon Triton is for Chris Connell for the Orbit Award.

You said your moon was Titan in an earlier post. Kinda embarrassing if a person does not even know which moon he lives on. Check the address on your drivers license.

Governmental kickbacks with generous allotments for “administrative costs” with wide latitude as to how they are used. Ask some city treasurer about it sometime.

“You reap what you sow”, or “can’t see the forest because of the tree”, etc. the “houseless” crises has been going on for quite sometime here without any concern from our city leaders besides getting a photo op. Illegitimate still has not gotten everyone out of Afghanistan and you don’t hear a peep about it. Just try to figure out why

If I had been a capitol police officer on Jan 6th I would have open fired the second that first barrier was knocked over. And that would have been the end of it.

Good question, why didn’t that happen? Why didn’t the National Guard show up as was asked? Who opened the side door to let everyone in and on whose orders? Who is in charge of the Capital Police? There are many questions that need questioning and answers to but the committee just can’t get to them, wonder why?

It is very cold in outer space so it makes sense that early aliens would have settled in the Antartica. But now, Fritz, now they are showing up in Miami and Mara Largo wearing Hawaiian print thongs and visor caps. You need to read some of the fascinating books about those two areas if you want to keep abreast of alien and alien like behaviors.

Tonight the taxpayers will have to watch as two of our most advocating for the taxpayers City Councilors close a chapter in their lives. I am speaking of Chris Connell and Kevin Morandi. Both men have continually fought for the rights of the taxpayers only to be shut down by a bunch of Muppet Puppets called the rest of the City Council. These two men were the only ones that worked for the taxpayers, not the Mayor. Want to wish them well and thank them both for their constant attempts of righting so many wrongs in this Administration. As far as Yuki, Moonbat, Caccapoo, they did absolutely NOTHING their whole terms, good riddance.

I have a wish for the New Year. Wish that just one City Councillor would request that Mayor Tyer and Chief Wynn enlighten the hard working taxpayers at a Council meeting as to why there is very little to almost no traffic enforcement in the City. It is very dangerous out on the roads, and plungers are not the answer. The taxpayers have the right and deserve to be told as to why! Is it lack of training, lack of help, officers don’t want to, officers are told not to, do they feel it is a waste of their time, why are the cruisers always parked by the deer on New York Avenue, the hill by BIC, or way back in the flooded Wahconah park. what are they protecting, or what is the exact issue? If is a lack of help, why has the Mayor not asked for State Police presence on some of the main drags like Dalton, Merrill, William, South, Elm streets? Also, wonder why our famous meter enforcers spend their whole day ticketing cars on NON? Why do they not venture out to what few shopping centers we have left and ticket vehicles parked haphazardly in fire lanes? There are so many ways this City could be bringing in revenue, just by making folks pay attention to the law.

Pittsfield politics’ last City Council meeting of 2021 tonight, December 14th, 2021. 5 out of the 11 City Councilors’ last hurrah in City Hall. Please ask Mayor Linda Tyer about the State’s Open Meeting Law and State “Ethics” Laws relating to her (possibly illegally) shutting out the public from her municipal administration’s spending of the tens of millions of dollars in Biden Bucks! Please ask Mayor Linda Tyer how much city cash Matt Kerwood has in his multimillion-dollar Slush Funds! Then, please total all of the tens of millions of dollars in city cash Mayor Linda Tyer is sitting on, and then please ask her to give some of back to the Pittsfield taxpayers. If Mayor Linda Tyer declines to refund Pittsfield’s taxpayers some of their hard-earned tax dollars, then please ask her why she is shutting them out of having a say in her sitting on and/or spending any and/or all of the taxpayer cash and Biden Bucks. Lastly, don’t forget to ask her about all of the millions of marijuana dollars sitting in her municipal coffers, too.

I wish the Lovely Linda would use some of her tens of millions of dollars from Biden Bucks, Matt Kerwood’s multimillion-dollar Slush Funds, and millions of dollars in marijuana city revenues to help the neediest residents of Pittsfield Massachusetts!
