She’s got that right.
On Tuesday, Donald J. Trump all but sealed his place on the presidential ticket of the Republican Party.
THE PLANET can be accused of “carrying water” for Trump, but we don’t have to. We simply observe the water rising and report on the flooding. The most interesting aspect of his third bid for the Oval Office has to be his ability to not only survive a knockout punch but flourish with each new blow. We’ve heard of Teflon candidates. Trump makes Teflon look like Velcro.

His handlers told him to stay off the ballot, calling the NH tally “meaningless.” But Rep. Dean Phillips and activist Marianne Williamson were on the ballot. Terrified that Phillips would win in NH, Democrats launched a desperate “Write In Joe” campaign. It worked, after which NH delivered “a historic” performance.
Which is it, “meaningless” or “historic?”
It was like a Soviet missile launch in the 1960s. They wouldn’t announce the goal beforehand. After it was over, no matter what occurred, they would say “That’s what we intended all along.”
What’s not to like?
As president, the Democrats impeached Trump twice. He lost to a cognitively challenged lifer who campaigned from his basement and rode to “victory” by politicizing a medical issue. He then shut down America’s economy, closed public schools, and imposed two years of solitary for citizens.

As a private citizen, Trump has been twice indicted and faces 91 federal charges. They took his mug shot, and they raided his home, allowing it to be filmed, for doing something every president since Harry Truman has done.

That they have corrupted many of America’s institutional safeguards to do so seems of little consequence to them.
They’re destroying democracy to save it.
The only thing that can stop Trump other than a bullet is the U.S. Supreme Court. On Feb. 8, the Supremes will hear oral arguments on woke claims that Trump is an insurrectionist based on the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol and Sec. 3, 14th Amendment of the Constitution.
A decision of “yes” will end Trump’s bid. A “no” verdict and you’re looking at Trump II: Release and Retribution.
What will the Supremes do?
“I believe that the court will find a way to find that he is, in fact, eligible for the ballot,” said Jessica Levinson, a constitutional law professor at Loyola Marymount University. “At the end of the day, I can’t escape the conclusion that the Supreme Court doesn’t want to be the body that took this choice away from the voters.”
She added: “I think they still have PTSD from Bush v. Gore,” the case that decided the 2000 presidential election. (quotes in Politico).
