PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE MONDAY DEC. 1, 2026) — Today’s column involves the theme of “neglect.” In the first instance, THE PLANET presents a prime example from the hapless administration of Bitchfield’s Mayor Lumpy. In the second case, we have neglect on the part of the Beacon Hill/Golden Dome bunch with respect to  taxpayers.

Bitchfield Neglect

Get in THE PLANET Flintstonemobile. Begin at Park Square and head east on East Street. Pass PHS on the right and continue on the soft right to Elm Street. Stay on Elm until you reach Williams Street. Take a left until you get to junction of Dalton Division Road and Washington Mountain Road. Take the latter and bear left until you reach the lovely body of water that serves as Bitchfield’s water supply.

At this point, we switch to Supercitizen James M. Burke’s recent Facebook post.

James, are you there? Come in, James.

BURKE: Well the curiosity finally got the best of me. I’ve driven by this spot on Washington Mountain Road a million and one times. What has continued to stand out was the jut out in the guardrails at the Dalton/Washington town line. I was told that the plow trucks turned around there.Well something far worse takes place there after dark. Oddly enough it’s the city of Pittsfield’s watershed. Something has got to change and soon.

As the pictures show (Photos by James Burke) , the land adjacent to the jut-ourt has been regularly- and long-used as a private dump by ignorant cretins who think the rules of good stewardship and citizenship do not apply.

Of course, such attitudes abound in Bitchfield with the likes of Lumpy and cosplay council president Voltron the Pork Chop in charge.

Notice the sign sternly warns in Trumpian ALL CAPS: NO DUMPING / VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED

Right.

Stop us if you’ve heard that one before. It’s like the city schools having voluminous “no bullying” policies — empty words signifying neglect.

Simply put: They don’t care about you or the once-fine city they are  destroying.

Healey’s Wallet Raid! Car Taxes Could TRIPLE Under New Plan

]

Governor Healey is pushing a sweeping local tax hike bill that could mean major increases for residents and small businesses across Massachusetts. Her proposal would allow cities and towns to raise the meals tax, increase lodging taxes, and even impose a new surcharge that could triple annual vehicle excise bills. With families already squeezed by inflation and high energy costs, MassFiscal is sounding the alarm and urging taxpayers to take action.

Our new Call to Action makes it easy to tell Beacon Hill to reject these new tax powers. Lawmakers are fielding comments now, and taxpayer pushback will be critical.

Read our full statement on the latest hearing here and join the fight against higher local taxes here.

Healey Denies Pipeline Cancellations — The Tape Says Otherwise

Governor Healey was recently asked whether her cancellation of two gas pipelines contributed to today’s high energy costs. She responded, “I didn’t do that,” despite being on video telling voters, “Remember I stopped two gas pipelines.” It’s becoming hard to have an honest conversation about affordability when the Governor insists on denying actions that are a matter of public record.

This pattern has become routine, and it leaves taxpayers frustrated while energy costs continue to climb. Massachusetts families deserve straight answers, not revisionist history. At MassFiscal, we’ll keep calling out these contradictions and pushing for transparent, accountable energy policy.

Watch the clip here

As you see from the above items from MassFiscal, our governor is a tax-happy and two-faced. Of course, we can’t single out Maura Healey on that regard. In the matriarchal Bay State, governed as it is by LibLoons, she’s “normal.” It’s you good folks, who live with integrity and common sense, that form the outcasts.

THE PLANET wishes it were not so … but if wishes were horses, beggars would walk.

Hello blogger Dan Valenti,

Why does Pittsfield spend over $62 million in fiscal year 2026 alone more than its similarly sized small city Westfield?

The story about the watershed being used as an illegal dump is one of many examples of Pittsfield City Hall charging top dollar in return for ROCK BOTTOM services. The 2-Pete’s Pittsfield politics pounds people’s purses and persecutes people.

….the Underclass residents of Pittsfield with punitive proposals on panhandling and homelessness, but Pittsfield’s only economic growth is its large Underclass population that fills the city’s Level 5, Group 11 public schools….

Why is this receiving negative reactions. It is the truth, and Jonathon is right on target, as usual.

Mr Marchetti’s new, “you are on your own” snow plowing policy is about to get a real test. And then another and another as snowstorms are coming in waves according to credible forecasting. Look for many many school snow days. Look for overwhelmed body shop repair shops. Look for ever busy emergency rooms with long waits.

And for sure Marchetti and White will take advantage of every and all suggestions to raise taxes while still handing out tax abatements for those in the cozy arrangement category. (those who need it least)
To hell with seniors getting tax breaks even though they have paid ever increasing taxes for decades upon decades. Save those tax breaks for the rich and connected eh guys?
Have the Pete’s announced the opening day for their new Wahconah ballpark adventure and will they smirk snidely into the cameras at the taxpayers during their ribbon cutting, just to let them know, once again, who is and who is not, running the city?

D p w Cardough. You might even be able to get through the storm without salt tommorrow.

Temperature is borderline for crashes. Tough call.So it’ll be snowing from 4 @m to nine pm tommorrow. Temperatures at 30 * a little above freezing. I wouldn’t close schools.

Problem is p,do we have enough plows?

Remember as a kid walking to p h s from benecict rd.to p h s in many a snowstorm.

Aside……Maybe they’ll move the trucks where they’re building new homes up on Churchill Street so the plows can come through there. Went by there the other day and was almost wiped out by car because those turkeys park the trucks to far into the road.

From a gubernatorial candidate in Massachusetts…
“Today, the National Taxpayers Union Foundation released a report examining how fast some states are losing residents and how fast some are gaining them. To no one’s surprise, Massachusetts is one of the fastest shrinking states, losing a resident every 11 and a half minutes. Governor Healey’s policies are only accelerating this trend.”
