RIVERS’ SELL-OUT NOTHING BUT A SMELLY TOILET SQUAT ALL OVER TAXPAYERS

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY JUNE 20, 2018) — Now that we know what kind of politician Donna Todd Rivers is, the only question remaining if you want her vote is the price.
When Rivers flipped her vote and decided to stick Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski with a needless $74-80 million in new deficit spending, you can’t say she didn’t do her research. After deciding to change her vote on an upgrade to the Pittsfield sewer treatment plant off Holmes Road, she realized that the new work would be needed. Why? The present system, consultants revealed, couldn’t handle a dump as big as the redolent load she pushed out on taxpayers. The stinking pile, however, became perfume to Rivers after she took Ex-Lax in the form of a $75,000-a-year make-work position as country “jobs czar.”
That’s what baldy Adam Hinds, D-Nowhere, called Rivers’ ritzy new toilet squat. Apparently, Hinds either didn’t look at Rivers closely enough … or maybe he looked too closely. Why else did his clothes wrinkle and his watch stop? How else could he not know that DTR is a woman, not a man? Earth to Chrome Dome: a “czar” is the male form. THE PLANET thinks Curley meant “czarina.” The laughable part of DTR’s new toilette is that she gets $75K+bennies for doing not a thing. In Pittsfield, it’s called “work.” In other places, they call it selling out, similar to what a hooker does when she needs quick cash for her next fix, to put it in proper perspective.
There are already a bunch of phony “Let’s Create A Job” offices and agencies in decrepit Berkshire County, all having been stillborn in Pittsfield. Rivers’ has been appointed to head these efforts up and be the point person for these agencies — You know, to handle the avalanche of companies beating down the door to expand in or relocate to Pittsfield. You know, all the many companies that PEDA officials and other say they have “highly interested” but never actually name because they don’t exist. THE PLANET knows, you know, the Man in the Moon knows, Andy Kaufman knows, and Miley Cyrus knows that the only jobs these fake agencies create are con jobs and snow jobs. Invariably, they go to those of both genders ready to don the knee pads and suck enough stuffed sock among the city’s ruling elite.
Incidentally, despite popular conception, the Latin translation for ivectus e penamis is not “Suck My Bellafio.” It’s closer to “Here, just take this job, keep your mouth shut, and flip your vote.” Another untrue rumor is that DTR has been signed by a major production company to star in a new version of “Deep Throat.” She may be curious, but she’s definitely yellow. One more incidental is a comment left on Wednesday’s PLANET. Someone pointed out that $75,000 a year is not that much money. We would agree, but not for a job as superfluous as this. Taxpayers don’t have to pay another another $95,000 a year (including bennies) to get nothing done and have nothing happen.
THE PLANET will eat these words, of course, if the new “jobs czar” convinces Ernie the Hot Dog guy to come out of retirement. That’s about the extent of the economic impact of the new jobs czar. Short of that, we warn Rivers to stay the freak out of the freakin’ news. We don’t want to hear it. Especially DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES send out any bullshit press releases from your office, Rivers, or else we might take off the kid gloves and really lay into you.
For that, we won’t wait in line, you worthless piece of … of … of politician.

A former State House legislative aide is suing Stan Rosenberg & his (estranged) husband in a civil suit for sexual abuse by Bryon Hefner! A 16-page lawsuit was filed in Suffolk Superior Court on Friday, June 15, 2018, by attorney Mitchell Garabedian on behalf of “John Doe.” Garabedian achieved fame as an advocate for victims of priest sex abuse, winning multimillion-dollar cases against the Catholic Church. Doe’s complaint accuses Hefner of assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and Stan Rosenberg of conspiracy and intentional infliction of emotional distress. “Defendant Rosenberg provided excuses for Defendant Hefner’s conduct. Defendant Rosenberg claimed that Defendant Hefner’s mental health issues or problems with alcohol excused Defendant Hefner’s conduct,” Garabedian argues in the suit.
Also, there are four men who’ve criminally accused Bryon Hefner of sexual abuse.

The majority of the children being detained at the border showed up alone with no parents. The rest were with questionable people who may or may not be their actual parents. People who may be just using them to gain entry to the country and who may then abandon or beat or abuse them once they get the entry into the country that they are seeking.

President Trump signing an executive order to allow families to stay together when entering the country will just encourage huge numbers of people to make sure they show up at the border with children.
The word will get out just bring children with you and you’ll get in. This is not going to end well for children or for this country. Pat, in all fairness I believe it happened alot less under Obama. The zero tolerance policy has led to more arrests which led to more children being separated. Obama’s catch and release policy basically just sent the kids back to Mexico so they could try to cross again.

The Berkshire Regional Employment Board, a component of the One Berkshire initiative, is laughable. There is an amazing amount of data out there on the unemployed. The survey DTR made duplicates information and effort, not to mention is unprofessional and not statistically significant.
The Berkshires need help with employment, no doubt. But throwing money at a local untrained political hack is not the way to do it. Honestly, it is disgraceful. For the amount of salaries and resources at BREB,they should be able to make a document into a .pdf without scanning it crooked. It is professionally embarrassing work product.

The picnic is not just any picnic like the average person would have with some hot dogs, hamburgs and salads. This picnic turns the White House grounds into a midway. No expense is spared. Congress and their families are invited. So, yeah, they are very upset about its cancellation.

We all saw DTR’s plum. BUT, it was you don’t see behind closed doors is what is really corrupt. HOWEVER, over the years, Pittsfield politics has become obvious! If you are part of the Good Old Boys club, you will be well taken care of in Pittsfield!

Couple of nice pieces about me in this column. Thanks, Dan and May. Baseball was extra special in the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s. There were many championship parades welcoming Pittsfield athletes home after winning a major American championship in some far off city. I remember, as do many of former teammates, riding on a fire engine with bells ringing going down former retail and business district of North Street. That’s between Maplewood Ave. and Park Square for those who forgot, or never knew, this was Berkshires major retail area. It was a booming area with 6 movie houses, maybe 10 restaurants, hotels, including a Sheraton, and, hold on now, free parking. I won’t touch upon why this changed. It wasn’t all because of time marching on.
May, loved comment on “CG where have you gone”?. I’m here, May, and I know for sure I don’t belong in rarified company of song that asks, “Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio,” I’m here, and watching where Pittsfield is going. One comment to this, May, I’m worried. I think we all are.

One more thing. Very much enjoyed Howard Herman’s Eagle story about Berkshire baseball. Our kids are as good as any in Mass., that’s for sure. I do want to comment on Pittsfield baseball. We are back as one of the best. Here’s my opinion.:
we have players who would have played for St. Joe’s High School. This is a huge benefit for Pittsfield and Taconic High Schools.
Players (my favorites from foregone years,Chuck certainly would have been at the top) Imean, anyone who played against Jim Browm and an Alou Brother..a little younger than those days,anyway some of the athletes I was able to see whether it was one game or many, and I have many on the list.
Here are my favorites not in order,Frank Scago,Ray Woitkowski, Doug Shepherd,Dave Southard, Dick Faulkenbush, Mark Belanger, Paul Pierce,Willie Woodson,Jake McNiece,Cedric Rose, Anton Lazits, Timmy Kearns,(Kearns was the best in my era) Rick Lisi,Tony Simonelli,Tony Gibson,Paul Metallo, Jackie Clark. The best of them all, and although he wasn’t my favorite, was Belanger (thank God he went to the Orioles) he might have been a better basketball player than baseball.
I’d add Tommy Grieve, Gene Hermanski, Donnie Morehead, Larry Bossidy, Touchdown, Tony Ferdyn. For my money, Chuck Garivaltis was and still is the best pure hitter ever to come out of Pittsfield.
DTR got herself a radio gig years ago to keep her name up front. She ran several times for the Pittsfield City Council until she finally met with success. She is nothing, if not persistent. Her future…TBD.
