PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, THE WEEKEND EDITION APRIL 16-8, 2021) — Your first protection: Obey the law.

Your second protection: Comply with police instructions should you be stopped.

If you won’t do the first, you must do the second.

Comply. Comply. Comply.

These two simple rules would have saved the life of Daunte Wright. Instead, Wright becomes the latest martyr dying for a lost cause, his instant canonization from sinner to saint made hollow by his sketchy past and the violence, looting, burning “protests.”

Review the facts.

  • Wright was 20, not even legal drinking age. His mother called him an immature 20, more like a 17-year-old.
  • He’s the father of a two-year-old child.
  • He’s unmarried.
  • Police recently charged him with carrying an unlicensed handgun.
  • April 2 was set for his arraignment.
  • Wright never showed.
  • The bench issued a warrant.
  • Last week his family bought him a car.
  • It had an expired registration and was not insured.
  • Wright drove the car not to the DMV, not to an inspection station, but to a carwash.
  • Police stopped him because of the expired registration.
  • They ran his plates and discovered the bench warrant.
  • They attempted to arrest him.
  • Wright tore free and got behind the wheel.
  • Officer Kim Porter drew a weapon and yelled “Taser! Taser! Taser!”
  • Wright gave no indication of stopping, so she fired the weapon. It turns out not to be a stun gun but Porter’s service revolver.
  • One shot entered Wright’s chest.
  • Wright crashes the car nearby.
  • He dies from from the bullet.

What observations can we make?

THE PLANET thinks a good place to start is with the reaction from officials of Brooklyn Center, Minn. The mayor, Mike Elliott, declared that Officer Porter should be fired and not be given due process. City manager Curt Boganey disagreed, saying there should be an investigation and, by law, due process. That would include a presumption of innocence should a probe warrant criminal charges.  Police chief Tim Gannon agreed with Boganey: An investigation and then due process.

Elliott fired Boganey. Powell and Chief Gannon resigned. Elliott assumed control of the police. Powell has been charged with manslaughter and will stand trial.

Guilty or not guilty?

How much do you want to bet?

BIDEN TO DRAIN AFGHANISTAN

This from a wire service report:

“It is time to end America’s longest war,” Biden will say, according to excerpts released by the White House. “It is time for American troops to come home.”

Biden will deliver his remarks from the Treaty Room, the same location where President George W. Bush announced that the war in Afghanistan had begun in 2001.

“We cannot continue the cycle of extending or expanding our military presence in Afghanistan hoping to create the ideal conditions for our withdrawal, expecting a different result,” Biden plans to say. “I am now the fourth American president to preside over an American troop presence in Afghanistan. Two Republicans. Two Democrats. I will not pass this responsibility to a fifth.”

We congratulate Syracuse Joe for ending the sinkhole occupation. It won’t get us back the trillions of dollars or thousands of lives lost, but it will move the needle a tiny bit toward sanity.

Good work.

———- ooo ———-

BABY’S SYMPTOMS SHOULD HAVE SPURRED IMMEDIATE M.D. ACTION FROM TUCKERS

As you likely know from THE PLANET‘s two most recent columns, 10-month-old Kristoff Zenopolous, the infant disastrously placed in the “care” of foster parents Matt and Cassandra Tucker, died from complications due to strep A, accumulation of pus in the lungs, and a collapsed lung.

Medical testimony will have much to say about the symptoms of these conditions. D.A. Andrea Harrington, charging the Tuckers with manslaughter and reckless endangerment, said the baby suffered for two weeks before dying.

THE PLANET‘s research tells us that it’s unlikely just shy of the point of inconceivable that the Tuckers would not have noticed the immense suffering of the infant and sought a doctor’s help.

The infant would have demonstrated obvious and serious distress:

  • bluish skin caused by lack of oxygen
  • fast breathing
  • shortness of breath
  • grunting
  • restlessness and irritability
  • use of chest and abdominal muscles to aid breathing (retractions)
  • nasal flaring
  • racing heart
  • chest tightness
  • signs of distress caused by pain

(sources: medlineplus.gov and myhealth.alberta.ca/Health/aftercareinformation/pages/conditions.aspx?hwid=uf10262)

Picture the baby in his crib, suffering for two horrible weeks. Next, picture the Tuckers and all you know of them from their appearance in court and with the factual information about their characters and personalities.

THE PLANET hopes for a quick and firm resolution of this tragedy not just for justice but common human decency.

How could the Tuckers not have known Kristoff’s severe distress? Why did they not call 911 or take the baby to the hospital?

With that, THE PLANET opens it up for your comments on these topics or any of your choosing.

Have a great weekend, everybody.

What part of “you’re under arrest” do all these fleeing felons not understand?

The part where they won’t place their hands behind their back. All they have to do is submit to arrest. Instead, they resist often because they are holding dope or guns in car or on their person.

Just like the kid in Chicago whose video just went viral. Runs from cop, has gun, ditches gun second before cop shoots him, unbeknownst to cop, who then shoots him when he turns toward cop. In policing this is called a good shoot. Doesn’t matter if the person was black, white, blue, or yellow, 13 or 32. As we say in policing, better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

It is not that simple, Dan Valenti, when you say a suspect should have obeyed the law and when approached by a police officer(s) the suspect should comply, comply, comply. There are circumstances where police officer(s) do not follow standard operating procedures, lie about their actions – which is also known as “CYA”, and use excessive and sometimes deadly force when they should have deescalated the situation first. There are circumstances where a police officer(s) should use their training to communicate with impaired suspect, whether from a psychiatric impairment, a physical impairment, a substance abuse impairment, and the like. To be clear, it is a 2 way street between the police and the suspect. I have watched the news where police officers say they feel fear when they get pulled over by another police officer. Even the police feel distress when they become a suspect and are approached by their fellow police officer(s).

On Joe Biden’s planned pull out of Afghanistan later this year, I watched the news today and they said that women and children will immediately lose their human, civil and legal rights under tribal rule after the Taliban takes over the government. I thought that Joe Biden and the Democrats represented women and children’s issues in big government, but apparently that does not matter anymore.

On the Tucker indictments from Berkshire County D.A. Andrea Harrington, I believe that it was a failure on many levels. I do believes the Tuckers should be held legally responsible – if/when proven guilty in a court of law – for the baby’s death in their foster care home, but I also believe that the state social services agencies have a long history of failing innocent children who live in abusive foster care homes. The social services bureaucracy needs major reforms.

Re: Adam Hinds is a big phony career political hack!

I read State Senator Adam Hinds’ op-ed in the Berkshire Eagle (online) today (April 15, 2021) about who pays and who doesn’t pay taxes. I find his op-ed to be disingenuous because of the huge tax breaks the Massachusetts State Legislature and Governor Charlie Baker gave already wealthy big businesses just last month in March of 2021. House Bill 89, which never had a public hearing and was rushed to the floor of the State House of Representatives in just over 24 hours last month, included an outrageous “Double Dip” tax break for big business.

The grassroots public advocacy group Act of Mass explained in an email letter last month that businesses that receive PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) grants won’t pay taxes on those PPP grants and also would get to deduct expenses paid with PPP funds. The cost of this tax break isn’t clear. Gov. Baker estimates the cost of this tax break to be about $130 million, but MassBudget has shown that number is definitely too low, and isn’t possible to pin down exactly since we don’t know the full amount of PPP grants given last year. The total amount of Adam Hinds and his fellow career political hack colleagues on Beacon Hill tax breaks for big business could be as much as $300 million to $600 million. Act on Mass’ email letter last month explained that the Boston-based state legislature limited this “double-dipping” to businesses that use the personal income tax passthrough method of paying taxes, so it wouldn’t affect corporate taxes. But plenty of big businesses, including Fidelity, pay taxes this way. Over the past few decades passthrough businesses have become more common because of the ability for those structures to avoid more taxes than traditional C-corps.

Adam Hinds’ first vote in state government politics was for a whopping 40 percent legislative pay raise bill for himself and his career political hack colleagues on Beacon Hill in early-2017 that cost state taxpayers $18 million. Every two years in early-January at the start of the new legislative session, Adam Hinds accepts three legislative pay raises, including at the beginning of 2021, after over one million Massachusetts workers lost their jobs and health insurance during the Covid-19 pandemic. Adam Hinds, as well as State Representative Tricia Farley Bouvier, have openly supported raising state taxes, especially on the wealthy, without offering to sacrifice any of their own generous public pay and perks that are paid for by state taxpayers.

In closing, I hope that the people who live in Adam Hinds large Western Massachusetts legislative district are not fooled by his totally disingenuous op-ed in the Berkshire Eagle about who pays and who doesn’t pay taxes. Adam Hinds belongs on the proverbial poster of who doesn’t pay!

In Truth!

Didn’t Trump try to get us out of Afghanistan and everyone had a cow? I guess he got the conversation started for illegitimate. Wonder what the government of Afghanistan wants. I still can’t believe the National news is trying to say this last traffic death person was a loving saint like kid even as some reporters are informing us of his criminal past. I do hope people are praying for his soul and I hope people are praying for the poor police officer to have strength as she gets dragged through the ringer.

In California this teacher is threatening parents to confront her about going back to school using violent language. She tells white students they already own everything and don’t need to form a white students group. She is completely political and sees everything through the lens of far left radical politics. She has been suspended, but how long until she is back in school spreading her poison politics to young minds? Frighteningly, this is how so many of these far left teachers think. White babies are now racist at 3 months old and far left teachers are blasting parents that they are sick of being babysitters for their children.

A few comments about the PPSD recent decision on a new supt;

Message to Dennis Powell:
Submit your letter of resignation from the School Committee and MOVE ON.

Message to Mayor Tyer: cut the crap on diversity & equity. The schools should be focused on training kids to read, write and understand math.

Message to School Committee: expanding preK in every elementary school is not a good decision (idea attributed to Curtis). McCandless, to his credit, got away from babysitting the young ones. We have local small businesses that will be harmed by this government takeover of childcare.

School Committee, Mayor & City Council: time for a forensic school dept. audit – this dept. consumes the majority of the city’s budget. Cuts need to be made. Let the state come in & make the necessary personnel changes.

Why anyone would want to be an officer these days is beyond me. You can’t win. Hesitate because your worried about how it will look? You could be killed. Shoot because there is a threat? You run the risk of spending the rest of your life in jail.

Eventually we are going to get to a point in this country where people won’t go into the career because it just isn’t worth it. When I was growing up we were taught to respect the police and that it was an honorable job. It was something special to get a chance to meet an officer as these were the people that put their lives on the line so that normal functioning people could operate freely to improve their lives.

Now try bringing an officer into a school for a career day, you would be labeled a racist. Get ready folks, the normal hardworking taxpayers in this country are about to become the minority in favor of crime, protests, and looting.

I don’t even want to think about how much baby Kristoff must have suffered before he died, alone, because no one saved him. Unless he wasn’t alone, and the DCF chosen Tuckers actually watched while baby Kristoff gasped his last torturous breath. If the Tuckers defense to not getting medical attention for baby Kristoff is that they were waiting on DCF paperwork, DCF Monsters must be thrilled at having chosen such fine obedient foster Nazis who were just following orders from DCF angels of death. I absolutely believe DCF’s diabolical mission is to traumatize, torment and destroy innocent baby, children and their families. I read that DCF social workers last saw baby Kristoff on February 10, eight days before he died, during the time he was showing signs of illness. The depraved social workers and their depraved supervisors should also be charged in the death of baby Kristoff.

And on the subject of killer cops, armed psychopaths with badges, and a license to kill, read: Cops & Child Protective Services abuse children when they take them from innocent parents. by Daniel Weaver

Thank you for asking Agent 86. I found that fake news the same place I found this fake news of married w/children PPD Don Juan officer Nicholas Cabral who was unbelievably terminated from the PPD just for sending sexually explicit text messages to a 16-year-old girl, a girl 12-years younger than PPD Nicholas Cabral’s wife Lucia. Also mentioned in the fake news of this fine irresistible PPD specimen is PPD Don Juan Cabral’s affections for a 17-year-old girl who claimed Cabral forced himself on her, kissed her, touched her all over her legs and her chest/breast. But the fake news doesn’t end there. PPD officer Nicholas Cabral, not to be confused with his wife, PPD Lucia Cabral, Pittsfield’s first Latina police officer, is also accused of pulling a 21-year-old girl over for an alleged defective taillight, asking her for her telephone number, and asking her if she’s nervous because he so damn “cute.” All of make this me wonder if someone has done well-being checks on Lucia’s 5-year-old daughter Sophia and 1-year-old Gabriella living way out in the woods. I only wonder about this because I can’t imagine that Lucia could possibly be happy with her Don Juan police officer husband’s affection for the 16-year-old girl Cabral messaged, or the 17-year-old he touched all over, or the 21-year-old girl he hit on. I could honestly see that sort of behavior inciting police officer involved domestic violence, from both sides of this fine PPD law enforcement family.

PITTSFIELD — A city police officer was fired this year after an internal investigation determined that he had “engaged in a pattern of …concerning behavior surrounding young women.”

Nicholas Cabral, who was still in his probationary period, was found to have had inappropriate contact with at least two high school students, according to a report summarizing the department’s investigation.

Pittsfield Police Chief Michael Wynn briefed the Pittsfield Police Advisory and Review Board about the matter during the board’s meeting Tuesday.

The 35-page report, dated April 8, was obtained by The Eagle via a public records request. Much of the report, including names of those who brought forward complaints about Cabral, was redacted. Cabral’s age and hometown were unavailable.

The investigation was launched March 11, after a complaint regarding an incident March 8.

A 17-year-old Taconic High School student reported that Cabral, who was working an overtime detail at the business where the girl worked, offered to walk her to her car about 9 p.m.

Cabral asked her how old she was, and when she told him she was 17, replied that he could tell by the way she was looking at him that she wanted to kiss him.

After coaxing the girl to let him into the car, according to the report, Cabral kissed her and “was touching her legs and chest” and “touched her all over her clothes.”

Surveillance footage showed the two leaving the store together, Cabral entering the passenger side and the vehicle driving around to the back of the building, where the lights were turned off. The vehicle remained parked for about 18 seconds, then the lights came back on, the vehicle was driven back around front and Cabral exited.

The girl said Cabral asked her if she was OK, and she said no and that she needed to leave.

The investigation also found that Cabral exchanged what were described as sexually explicit text messages with a 16-year-old girl sometime in February.

He admitted interacting with the girl in person, over the phone and via social media, according to the report.

In another instance, Cabral pulled over a 21-year-old woman for a defective taillight, the report said. He then asked her if she was nervous because he was “cute,” and asked for her phone number.

A female employee of the Central Berkshire District Court also made a complaint against Cabral, stating that on at least two occasions he made suggestive or inappropriate comments to her while both were working.

Police also received complaints about Cabral from a manager of a business at which Cabral occasionally worked a detail, citing his demeanor and lack of professionalism, and requested that the department not assign him there for future shifts.

Other instances of concerning behavior also were included in the report.

Cabral was placed on administrative leave during the investigation. A message left with the city’s Personnel Department seeking Cabral’s date of termination from the force was not immediately returned.

Lt. John Soules, who conducted the investigation, found that Cabral violated at least six departmental policies: privacy and off-duty conduct; conduct unbecoming an officer; neglect of duty; immorality; criminal conduct; and a private vehicle violation.

Wynn told the advisory board that he concurred with all the findings, except for the immorality and private vehicle violations, noting that while he filed those charges, ultimately he didn’t feel that the conduct rose to the level of violations on those two points.

He said that if the investigation showed a crime had been committed, charges would have been filed.

Wynn explained to the board that an officer doesn’t need to be charged with a crime to be found in violation on grounds of criminal conduct.

He also said he found additional violations, including falsifying records and not cooperating with the investigation.

Attempts to reach Cabral for comment were unsuccessful.

And I would kindly appreciate it if you would not incite me to write fake news about a dyke cop who travels all the way to the Berserkshires, takes herself wife, is hired by a police department, resigns, and is then hired by another police department, adopts at least three Sunkist infants, moves several times, divorces, and moves again, ensuring that the adoptees are the product of a unstable broken home. All of this in under 4 years. That certainly has to be fake news.

More fake news. Monster NYPD cop charged with the murder of his 8-year-old autistic son kept custody of his kids even AFTER a judge suspected he was beating his children. The mother of this dead 8-year-old boy attempted to regain custody of her children but was denied, and custody was given to her ex-husband, the MONSTER NYPD COP charged in the sadistic death of the little boy who was kept in a freezing garage, until he finally died.

I hope my fake news about PPD officer Don Juan Nicholas Cabral isn’t snuffed out. Otherwise I’ll be forced to make up fake news about an NYC cop caught with child porn on his phone, or N.Y.P.D. police officer charged with soliciting sexually explicit photos/child pornography from at least 46 minors.

This school system in Virginia is fighting to keep the Marxist Critical Race Theory courses out of their schools. Teachers are being told to dismantle systemic racism in the schools and to do this they are promoting racism against white people. This Critical Race Theory is being funded behind the scenes by radical Islamists who are trying to destroy our country from within. In Virginia the merit system in the schools is coming under fire from this Marxist/Islamist backed Critical Race Theory.

Dan,

Kim Porter’s incompetence demands some form of justice. If you carry a gun, you are responsible for its bullets. Period.

However, your description of Daunte Wright’s past is seriously inaccurate. Probably because almost all of the actual facts regarding Wright’s background were sourced and published by overseas media, not here in the U.S.

Wright was not “recently charged him with carrying an unlicensed handgun” with an “April 2 arraignment.”

Wright was arrested in early 2020, after the doting dad held a handgun to woman’s head, choked her and tried to rob her of the $820 she had stashed in her bra. He was arrested, bail was originally set at $100k, reduced to $40k, and Wright got out. He almost immediately went AWOL from the courts and a bench warrant for his arrest was issued in July 2020.

The facts of the case don’t even matter at this point. What matters is the lack of objective reporting. Actually, it’s not even that. It’s the false reporting. Done openly and without fear of consequences.

Same phenomenon thing that has crushed us with Covid.

The propagandists have won. Social media geeks control the narratives, the narratives control the world.

Regardless, it’s all just screaming into the void at this point, humanity has peaked. Freedom and liberty are now equated with selfishness and oppression.

The Marxists and radical Islamists have managed to convince a large number of our population that freedom and liberty are white racist ideas. They have their motives and it’s not the happy equitable future they are promising their followers. Having us literally bow down to their communist and radical Islamist ideology using the threat of being called a racist to keep us in line. They are going after Christians in China trying to brainwash their beliefs out of their system which is the same as the radical Islamists who also want to get rid of Christian beliefs and ultimately Christians if they can’t be converted to either atheism or radical Islam.

A lot of Pittsfield politics leaders opposed to the 4 – 3 School Committee vote for Joe Curtis for Superintendent are claiming that the Good Old Boys network of insiders are still making the decisions and appointments that are seen by critics as done deals from the very beginning. But Mayor Linda Tyer, School Committee member Bill Cameron, and others are saying that claim of corruption is now untrue in 2021. Which is it? Would someone please explain it. Thank you.

I’m curious as to whether or not Kristoff’s biological birth mother was permitted her bi-monthly 1 hour supervised visit with her own infant. Did DCF angels of death deny the visit, or visits, on the grounds that they had made baby Kristoff sick, to death. When was the last time Kristoff’s mother, or any biological family members were permitted to see baby Kristoff alive?

It’s really sad in America that the police have become the enemy. Obama is the one to blame for this. He stated the war on cops.

Instead of using his position as the President to better the black community, he went after police. Chicago is a war zone, but the media doesn’t talk about that. The leading cause of death for a young black male 16-35 years-old, is another black male. Again, the media ignores this.

CBS News edited out the gun in Adam Toledo’s hand, to fit Obama’s narrative that the police are out hunting minorities. Instead of asking the real question, where the f*** were his parents? He’s 13 years-old, he’s running the streets with a gun, in the company of a 21 year-old convicted felon, at 2:30AM. But again, it’s the police’s fault, right Barry?

Now, we are stuck with intellectual lightweights like Helen Moon and Earl Persip, calling to Defund the Police. How does this help the citizens of Pittsfield? They want more training for police, but they want to cut funding. Makes sense? Exactly, it doesn’t. Only to a half-witted morons like Moon or Persip, it does.

Again, I ask Helen Moon to provide the case number so we can view her “arrest.” Whoever runs against her in the next election, should bring this up every time they debate. Paint her as the lair she is. Make her explain how defunding the police will make Pittsfield safer?

FTR, I support law enforcement and could never, ever, do their job. Should I get pulled over, easy – license and reg, I’m good. Zero stress. Unfortunately, others do not have this sense of comfort, and we know why.

73yo Ms. Garner in CO. Dementia. Communication issues. Walked out of Walmart with $13.88 of goods. She forgot to pay (I watched my father struggle with this disease and do the same). Aggressively detained and hogtied. Did I mention she’s 73yo? Sure, perhaps there is “another side of the story” that wasn’t reported – we won’t know because he turned his body-camera off. Even if there is… she is 73yo.

We can site example after example of law enforcement pro and con. Bigger issue.

The suggestion to carve out existing funds for social/wellness to arrive to the scene, rather than LE that’s going to fukc up a 73yo with a medical condition sounds OK to me. IMO, this isn’t a red-blue issue, it’s a culture issue, and right now, we’re screwed.

Would he have gotten an even bigger award if he went public about the citys need for a forensic audit? The city is awash in cash and all successful business s invite deep audits to make their operation more efficient. So why would Pittsfields top people be fighting it so hard? Why, why why???

Maybe Bullshit Presentation Award, an A plus on that. Did the Presentation Award criteria include microscopic numbers on a screen on a ceiling at city hall chambers, or the run around when councilors ask for specific information which is never on hand during those requests?

Maxine Waters isn’t helping matters by what she is telling young people on the far left: “Waters told reporters if the former police officer isn’t found guilty of murdering George Floyd, “We’ve got to stay on the street and we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational. We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business.”

If we quit criminalizing so much behavior we don’t like (when the threat of civil penalties will work), we wouldn’t need so many police/citizen encounters.

Nipples is so stupid she can’t even plagerize tweets properly. She also lacks consistency in her message.

Civil penalties for criminal behavior penalizes disproportionately penalized the poor. If she had a brain cell in her head she would understand that.

It’s a pay to get out of jail system? So the rich could just continue to get away with crimes and just pay fines.

GE wants to pay its CEO Larry Culp as much as $232 million at its upcoming meeting on May 4th, 2021.
GE CEO’s $232 Million Pay Deal Scorned by Glass Lewis, ISS (msn.com)
GE does not want to pay for the so-called 15 year long cleanup of the Housatonic River that is estimated to cost $567 million (probably double that lowballed figure). GE has made no financial commitment towards the aforementioned so-called cleanup project.
GE spent over $500 million on Pittsfield’s so-called cleanup project that left the city with 2 leaky landfills and capped most of GE’s cancer causing industrial chemicals called PCBs. Capped pollution sites never last forever, and they eventually become useless over time. To be clear, Pittsfield got a royal screwing over by GE over 20 years ago.
Lastly, Smitty Pignatelli has a college degree in finance and he used to work at Lee Bank. I have asked Smitty Pignatelli many times now to explain how the financial statement would read of an around one billion dollar so-called cleanup project of the Housatonic River with no financial commitment from GE to pay for the 15 year long project that most people strongly oppose. As always, the financial genius named William Smitty Pignatelli never explains this scam-like financial paradox because he knows it is bullshit.
